Unknown channel type: JDBC

dear everyone:
my Scenario is  HTTP-XI-JDBC synchronous select
Database: oracle Version: 10.2.0.2.0
JDBC Adapter communication channel configuration as follow list:
jdbc driver: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
connection: jdbc:oracle:thin:@192.168.0.180:1521:dstest
we have configure jdbc driver and test by notes 1085539, the test result is ok.
when we implement this scenario, i meet some error information as
follow list:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
- <!-- Call Adapter
-->
- <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30"
xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
<SAP:Category>XIAdapterFramework</SAP:Category>
<SAP:Code area="MESSAGE">GENERAL</SAP:Code>
<SAP:P1 />
<SAP:P2 />
<SAP:P3 />
<SAP:P4 />
<SAP:AdditionalText>com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException</SAP:AdditionalText>
<SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
<SAP:Stack />
<SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
</SAP:Error>
when i change trace_level to 3, i get detail error information:
Unknown channel type: JDBC
please give me some advise

Hi,
If This is errored out along with below message also,
"'Transport protocol not supported in adapter XI' " then there is problem as the 'Transport protocol' in Adapter is usually 'JDBC 2.0' and not just 'JDBC'. Which SP are you on? Also, please check the JDBC Query string.
Thanks
Swarup

    im having the exact same problem.
    i clipped this from http://technet.oracle.com/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/htdocs/jdbc_faq.htm#_1_
    First, make sure that the jdbc-oci shared object (libocijdbc8 or
    liboci80Xjdbc.so etc.) and ${ORACLE_HOME}/lib are in your path. Then, try
    this Sample Program. Some times, even after the shared object is loaded
    successfully, you may get errors such as make_c_state symbol not found. This
    may happen if your CLASSPATH has classes.zip from JRE 1.1.7 or JDK 1.1.6 and
    your running java binaries from jdk 1.1.3 or so. Make sure everything
    (LD_LIBRARY_PATH, CLASSPATH, java binaries) is in SYNC.

  • Can't boot after system update: unknown filesystem type

    After running a system update, including updating the kernel, I can't boot to the new kernel.
    On booting, grub loads the kernel image, runs/loads udev, but then fails to mount the root partition with error:
    mount: unknown filesystem type 'ext4'
    I have tried reinstalling the 'linux' package via packman several times, also trying the --recursive argument to make sure all my dependencies were there, and after days of googling and tweaking my system, I'm at a loss.
    Thank goodness I happened to keep a spare kernel laying around in /boot.
    Thanks in advance.

    The OP can read their partition initially though, it's only after udev that they can't.
    Also, try adding "rootfstype=ext4" to your grub kernel line. Is your /boot on a separate partition or part of your / partition?

  • Issue with "unknown user type 6" on Coherence 3.5.2

    Having an issue with a cluster which is running using an internally developed cluster starter tool. This tool, and the associated cluster, all use POF, and upon attempting to connect a non-storing member to the cluster from java, the following exception is raised...

    There is no serialiser configured in the cache config, instead we just set tangosol.pof.enabled=true, and set the pof config file to what is seen above. The thing which is very confusing about this error is that unlike other clients which we connect, and in fact the servers they connect to, this client never attempts to load the cache configuration file. The point at which this should happen, prior to pof loading, shows:
    2011-07-11 15:54:57.260/1.391 Oracle Coherence GE 3.5.2/463p2 <Info> (thread=Main Thread, member=n/a): Loaded cache conf

    I have tried every combination of classpath entries I can think of, and no matter what, it never shows an attempt to load the application-cache-config.xml supplied in the startup. Does anyone have any experience with something like this?

    I guess your non-storing JAVA code does not specify -Dtangosol.pof.enabled=true and the -Dtangosol.pof.config =<POF file location> on joining the cluster. Post the startup java command and the complete logs.
    If application-cache-config is not loaded then coherence-cache-config.xml should be loaded by default and set -Dtangosol.coherence.cacheconfig=<application-cache-config>
    Cheers,

  • Unknown File Type for Adobe Classroom in a Book Fireworks

    I am trying to open sand_river1.jpg cited on p. 74 of Adobe Fireworks Classroom in a Book and am getting a "Could not open file" and "unknown file type" despite the fact that the image is displaying as a thumbnail in the file browser.  I get the message on both Windows and Mac Fireworks CS6.  Is it possible these publication assets were not part of Adobe's QA regression?  Anyway:
    - I'd rather not try to fix this myself since it's an Adobe product and I can wait.
    - has this problem been corrected?
    - is there an errata site for the book?  When I search on Google I am just sent to Amazon and bittorrent.
    thanks

    A quick Google search for that file name confirmed the issue here, and a fixed version for chapter 4 can be downloaded at http://www.jimbabbage.ca/_files/ch4files.zip

    Olivier, thank you so much
    SOAMANAGER does not exist in my system (sp level 8), so node "/sap/bc/soap/rfc" should be active. Actually, it is active.
    I think the problem is related to user rights/profiles.
    I have tried to create another WS after assigning role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN. The same error when trying to activate it, but now, I can see this WS in SE80 (under "Enterprise Services->Service Definition"). It is not active there and if I try to activate it, a success message appears indicating that user "is not authorized to use function netzwerkadministration". I cannot see any new services in SICF...
    Probably the new entry in SICF will be created after activating WS in SE80...
    Do u know what user profile should I add in order to properly activate the WS in SE80?
    Thank you very much!
    Vicente

  • "unknown user type" exception when the object don't exist for i/p key.

    Hi
    I'm using Coherence REST service(comes with the Coherence bundle) to validate my cache data.
    When I hit the cache for a valid key, I get data returned back. But for the object that don't exist in the cache I get "Internal Server" error.
    I'm fine with "Internal Server" response show in the browser, but I don't want it to be printed as part of my coherence logs.
    For example, when I hit the REST url for key that don't exist in the cache, I get below exception in coherence logs.
    How can I get rid off it (or) suppress the exception logs.

    Hi,
    I included coherence-rest-pof-config.xml as part of my pof-config as shown below.
    <pof-config xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/coherence/coherence-pof-config"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://xmlns.oracle.com/coherence/coherence-pof-config coherence-pof-config.xsd">
    <user-type-list>
    <include>coherence-pof-config.xml</include>
    <include>coherence-rest-pof-config.xml</include>
    <user-type>
    <type-id>1001</type-id>
    I also checked my coherence-rest.jar files for the configuration and the clasess, and all of them exist.
    I started my coherence by passing the classpath as below:
    $JAVAEXEC -server -Xms6g -Xmx6g -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:CMSInitiatingOccupancyFraction=25 -XX:MinHeapFreeRatio=40 -XX:MaxHeapFreeRatio=70 -Duser.timezone=GMT -Djava.rmi.server.hostname=xx.xx.xx.xx -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=13366 -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false -Dtangosol.coherence.log.level=3 -Dtangosol.coherence.log=log4j -showversion $JAVA_OPTS -cp $COHERENCE_HOME/config/:$COHERENCE_HOME/lib/coherence.jar:$COHERENCE_HOME/lib/guidecacheclient.jar:$COHERENCE_HOME/lib/jersey-server-1.8.jar:$COHERENCE_HOME/lib/jersey-core-1.8.jar:$COHERENCE_HOME/lib/jersey-json-1.8.jar:$COHERENCE_HOME/lib/jackson-all-1.8.1.jar:$COHERENCE_HOME/lib/coherence-rest.jar:$COHERENCE_HOME/lib/log4j-1.2.16.jar -Dtangosol.coherence.management=all -Dtangosol.coherence.management.remote=true -Dtangosol.coherence.localhost=xx.xx.xx.xx -Dtangosol.coherence.mode=eval com.tangosol.net.DefaultCacheServer $1

    I see several possibilities.
    1. What you are trying to load is not a shared library.
    2. The shared library is compiled incorrectly to match the process space of the VM. There can be any number of causes for this.
    Note that the word width mismatch strongly suggests the second.
    You should start by forgetting weblogic entirely. Write a simple java app and using an explicit path in the load() method, not loadLibrary(), get it to load. Until it works there it you have no chance in weblogic.

  • Deployment Tool Error - unknown document type - Add to Application EJB jar

    I am creating a new application in the J2EE deployment tool and adding an EJB JAR to it. The jar contains the ejb-jar.xml file. This file has the standard doctype:
    <!DOCTYPE ejb-jar PUBLIC
    '-//Sun Microsystems, INC.//DTD Enterprise JavaBeans 1.1//EN'
    'file:/C:/j2sdkee1.3/lib/dtds/ejb-jar_2_0.dtd'>
    I get the Unknown Document Type error when I try to add this jar to the application:
    Error: Adding EJB JAR - java.lang.RuntimeException: Invalid XML : Unknown document type : org.apache.crimson.tree.Doctype@e8647
    The xml file validates fine in NetBeans 3.4. I use NetBeans to generate the jar file.
    Any ideas as to what is happening would be appreciated.

    Try replacing the DTD definition as specified below.
    http://java.sun.com/dtd/ejb-jar_2_0.dtd

  • XML file considered "Unknown File Type"

    Hi,
    I have XML files that lack an XML declaration. Part of the import process, though, is an XSLT stylesheet that adds one through standard XSLT output (ie, omit-xml-declaration="no"). However, Frame still decides that it is an unknown file type and forces me to select "XML" in that dialog box.
    When I run an XML file through the stylesheet manually (with another processor), I see the declaration added. Furthermore, the externally-transformed file imports without a hitch.
    Any ideas why the declaration is not recognized when added by XSLT during the import process? More importantly, any ideas how to get around this?
    Thanks,
    Russ

    Sylvia, I used the following function, which shows the parameters for F_ApiOpen(). Note that this worked for the one problem I was having with the "unknown file type" dialog box. There are a myriad of other XML errors that can occur which you may not be able to get around.

  • Archived document showing unknown file type

    Dear all,
    Im having a big issue here.
    We are using Kofax to scan the document like expenses into the content server(maxdb)
    Previously the system is R3 4.7 with EP6. We are able to open the attachment without any issue.
    but recently the system has been upgraded to ECC6 7.01, and now the problem comes..
    when we click the attachment list, a windows will pop out and we have to save the file with unknown file type to local drive.
    Then we have to use the picture and fax viewer to open the saved attachment.
    There is no changes on the Kofax bacause we have other systems which with R3 4.7,and ECC6 7.00 are using the the same content server but without any issue.
    We usually saved the file with TIF.
    We found that the image saved with wrong content type.in OAAD the  "Content-type" is saved with value "i" .
    the correct value should be "Content-type" with value "image/tiff"
    We have used OAWD to save the TIF file but also having the same issue..

    Hi Jason,
    Check for the workstation application in DC 30 and define the mime types for all applications like .tiff,.docx i.e. office 2007 files. and second suggestion is that install ECL viewer 6 with patch , it's free at sap marketplace and check these files are opening properly.
    Hope this will resolve the query.
    Regards,
    Ravindra
