My Edeca Server is located in different machine and I need to connect to that server lets say and reset the Data Store from my Clover Client or Clover Server.
Could anyone please guide me?
Thanks,
Harish

Hello Harish,
The problem is likely in the fact that Integrator cannot connect to the Endeca Server running on  a separate machine.
To troubleshoot this issue, you need to verify that you can make a connection to the Endeca Server from Integrator's host.
Please read this topic and check your settings in etc/hosts on the Endeca Server machine: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40518_01/server.761/es_admin/toc.htm#Hostname%20resolution%20in%20the%20Endeca%20Server

Hi Assennatog, the problem could be in the registry keys that are still present even if you completely uninstalled all the NI SW. So, after having uninstalled every NI apllication, try to execute the keys deleting proccess, by using MSIBlast, in the way it's explained in the attached doc. Ciao!

    Hi! Thanks for your reply,
I did what you said (drag the component again to the Graph and delete the old one) but I am still getting the same error (The component that is not being found is the RESET DATA STORE),
One thing I forgot to tell you is that I am running it from the command line using "./clover" command line which is located in
    /home/oracle/Endeca/Discovery/2.3.0/Integrator/plugins/com.cloveretl.gui_3.2.1/lib/bin
When I ran from the Integrator it worked OK.
I am using Endeca 2.3.0. and I am executing it like the following:
    ./clover runGraph /home/oracle/Endeca/workspace/MFGProject/graph/RunAllGraphs.grf
    Any new ideas?

Guess I'm royally screwed since my Cable Modem is made by Cisco. Anyway, they are using it to play HTML5 videos encoded in H.264 on operating systems that do not have the codec: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenH264

  • Mac Pro 2009 won't boot.

    Hello,
Since yesterday my computer simply refuse to boot (Mac Pro 2009, Quad-Core 2.93 with a flashed Radeon 5870).
It was working fine the day before, I shut it down, unpluged it and when I came back the following day it wasn't working anymore.
When I try to boot it I can hear the fans but not the starting "DONG" it should do.
I tried to replace the graphic card with my old ATI 4870, tried to switch with some old RAM I had and tried to disconnect my hard drives one by one but it did nothing at all.
The only thing I have is this red dignostical LED you can see on this picture. I tried to find it's meaning but I wasn't able to find anything.
It would be nice if someone was able to tell me what this LED meant (and even nicer if it wasn't something expensive to replace !).
    Thanks !

    Hello once again,
So, I finally had time to look a little deeper into this processor board and after removing the heatsink and cleaning the processor I noticed two little plastic screws (the ugly little red arrow on the picture I took from macbidouille.com, not the nice and big one) maintaining another heatsink on the board.
I'm not sure what is the component under this heatsink but one of these screws was broken (they aren't really screws but I don't know how to explain in English) and the heatsink wasn't correctly positioned anymore so I replaced these two screws, put everything back in order (with some thermal grease on the processor and the unknown component) and everything worked like a charm when I was done.
Thanks everyone for your help !

  • DCs becomes broken. How to repair it?

Hello SDN! I strongly need your help.
Well, it was necessary to change track parameters (just change DTR and CBS server from name to IP).
After that I faced with disappearing of my dev workspace. In SDN i've found that I have to reimport SCs for development and consolidation systems. Reimport has been done and projects for DCs has been imported in NWDS. After that it was successfully building and deploying on the remote test server. Next I was change settings of development runtime system to other server and after changing I've got a build error:

Well, I tried to resolve this error with "Sync used DCs", "Sync sources", "Initialize" for every SC in CBS. After that all my DCs become broken. Next I tried to reimport 3 standart components, restart NWDS (after restarting NWDS asked me for update configuration and delete current local content) and recreate projects for needed DCs.
Now in CONS DC has state OK, in DEV not every but many DCs still broken. And I can't find required DC 'sap.com/crm/tc/core' neither in DEV nor in CONS.
What I should to do for repairing my track?
    Please don't ignore my question...
    regards, Lev

    Hi Lev,
"through this serach you can find under which SC this DC is present and then check if you have imported the archives of this SC" What do you mean? Imported to whcih?
I mean --> DCs are contained inside SCs. So if you find under which SC this DC is present then you can check in CBS if the SC displays DC counts (SC will show the number of DCs in CBS when the sources are imported). If the respective SC shows 0 DCs then you have to manually check in the archives of that SC and fill it. If not the SC would be displayed empty in the CBS.
"try filling the SCs with the sources"
    How I can fill SCs?
--> I meant chekin and import of the SC here. After this the SC should show the total number of DCs.  and then DC would be recognized and CBS will not throw the error "unknown component"
The above case is true w.r.t required SC. If it is a developed SC then initializing the required compartment should help.

  • GetClientId messages in log

    JDEV 12.1.3
    WEBLOGIC 12.1.3
When run my page, I see this warning in weblogic webserver console window. I DO not have getClientId call in my code.
These are two declarative component we developed. There is no getClientId in declarative component code too.
Not sure what caused this warnings and if these warnings are harmful or not.
    <Apr 21, 2015 11:21:56 AM PDT> <Warning> <org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.component.UIXComponentBase> <BEA-000000> <getClientId should not be called while the view is being constructed. Component ID: pl1>
    <Apr 21, 2015 11:21:56 AM PDT> <Warning> <org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.component.UIXComponentBase> <BEA-000000> <getClientId should not be called while the view is being constructed. Component ID: dl5>

Commenting out this code does not get rid of the messages.
Got a response from ADF Dev. Share with the community here.
DMS error can be ignored - this is an artifact of the logging level being used and is caused when we are writing supplemental information for the ADF Request Tracing feature. So we should see these go away when some of the diagnostics are switched off.
The GetClientId error is more puzzling.  We did have some issues in 12.1.2 with this error occurring in the base framework code, but these should all be fixed in 12.1.3.  A couple of the issues where specifically linked to certain components (geomap and dialog) but those have been resolved.
So there are two possibilities here.
    1) There is a similar issue to the above which is somehow linked to the use of declarative component which triggers this warning in the framework (so nothing to do with your code)
    2) There is a call to getClientId in your code, but not necessarily explicitly in the stuff you have written - it could for example be in a PhaseListener or Filter which is being run as your page is being processed.
Note that in the cases where you see an unknown component id such as j_id15 this is just where the page defines a component that you have not set an explicit ID property for, and so JSF has generated an internal ID for itself . It might be a good idea to check your pages to add explicit IDs to any components that don’t have them, just to make future issue diagnosis simpler, but it’s not required that you do this, it’s just a recommendation.

  • Access Datasource from Servlet Engine (Tomcat)

    Hi,
I'm using datasource connections in my beans and event in servlets.. It works fine in JRun 3.1 environment.
But when I port to J2EE1.3 its throwing this exception...
I just want to understand whether it is a limitation in J2EE1.3 & Tomcat environment or it is a security problem or do I have to change any configuration file so that I can make the datasource connection available outside the J2EE environment.

  • Error when trying to run jsp on oas4081

    Hi there!
As many others before, I'm trying to get jsp to run on oas4081. Although I think I did everything what the docs (and the other posts here) say, I get an error.
    Here is what I did:
    * download ojsp.zip
    * add a JServlet application
    * under ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES of that app I included %ORACLE_HOME%/ows/cartx/jweb/classes/ojsp.jar
(yes, I copied the ojsp.jar to that location; there already is a jservlet.jar, and I can run servlets, so I didn't bother about adding a servlet.jar anymore, as the manual said)
    * under JAVA ENVIRONMENT I added DELEGATE_SERVLET_CLASS (left) and oracle.jsp.JspServlet (right)
    * under WEB PARAMETERS I added htm, html to the mime-types field
Here is what I get when accessing http://myserver/jsp_samples/hellouser.jsp:
    JSP Error
    Request URI: /jsp_sample/hellouser.jsp

Yes I did, when I added the JServlet application and cartridge, respectively. And I don't have a typo in there...

What operating system do you have?
You need to enter the service into
    c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\services
    or check
    c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
    Create there an entry with
