"Unknown list item type 'list'" error

Hi Friends,
I am facing a problem while creating a listbox (in inDesign JScript). I have written the following syntax to create the same:
var myDialog1 = app.dialogs.add({name:"Simple Dialog"});
var styleList = new Array("Part Num","Part Title","Chap Num","Chap Title","Chap TOC");
var submenuItems = new Array("Style Formatting","Indents and Spacing","Paragraph Rules","Keep Options","Hyphenations","Nested Styles","Bullets and Numbering");
with(myDialog1){
with(dialogColumns.add()){
with(dialogRows.add()){
with(borderPanels.add()){
with(dialogColumns.add()){
var styles = dropdowns.add({stringList:styleList,selectedIndex:0,minWidth:133});
with(dialogColumns.add()){
var submenu = ListBox.add("list",submenuItems);
myDialog1.show();
But it is showing the following error message:
"Unknown list item type 'list'"
I want to know that what I should write in the parameter list. Please help me in this regard.
Thanks a lot in advance

Hi Adithi,
dialogColumns don't know a child called 'ListBox'.
You can use 'dropdowns' instead as you did in 'var styles = dropdowns.add({stringList:styleList,selectedIndex:0,minWidth:133});':
var submenu = dropdowns.add({stringList:submenuItems, selectedIndex:0});

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to copy one list items new list using client side object model.
    You can use console application.
    Here is a similar thread for your reference:

  • Item Type "List Item" dosn't work

    I've tried to give the item type of a item to List item
    After compiling, I launch the form and I get this:
    NoClassDefFoundError
    Plugin Java 10.7.2.11
    Version JRE 1.6.0_31-b05 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
    Could it be because of something incompatible in my versions? But it's first time it happens (only with List items)
    Database: Oracle 10gXE
    Forms Builder: 10.1.2.0.2
    JRE: 1.6.0_31

    Thanks in advance!

    This error should only appear when you use a list-item with the list-type set to combobox. A combobox in forms is a listitem where you can also enter your own text. If you nly need a dropdown list, set the liststyle to poplist. This works also without patching. if you really need the combobox, patch.

  • After Feb 2015 CU viewing list items results in error : requested registry access is not allowed

    Hello All,
    We recently (Monday) updated our farm to the feb 2015 CU.  Since then we have been getting calls in from users that cannot access list items.  They receive a correlation error.  Looking at the logs the correlation error points to a critical
    error: "Requested registry access is not allowed"
    Doing some googling, others have seen this error but it is usually associated with managed accounts.
    Has anyone else encountered this issue/error?  Have you found a solution?
    Thanks for your help
    environment: SharePoint 2013 enterprise : 6 farm servers : OWA : project server : SQL 2012 always on backend

    This would be the service account running the Web Application failing to access the registry key(s). What you should do is set up
    Process Monitor to look at Registry keys, and look for ACCESS DENIED.
    One thing you could just try out would be to run:
    Initialize-SPResourceSecurity
    Also, do you mean the March 2015 CU?

    Simply get the current item value in a When-List-Changed trigger:

  • List-Items (Type=URL) - how to open in New Window

    I use a List for deliver information in a region.
    The list consist of some URLs.
    I would like to open a new Window (not use the active Window), if one element was clicked.
    With html-text-region I could user "target=...", but this is not usable in the List entries, it should be a simple URL.
    Have we any attributes for such a behavior?

    Lutz,
    You can achieve what you want in a list template. For example the sample application uses the following fragment in the Standard Unordered List template:
    <li>#TEXT#</li>
    Simple change that to
    <li><a target="new" href="#LINK#" style="font-weight:bold;" class="list">#TEXT#</a></li>
    or something similar.

  • How to create an alert at the list item of List box in vbs/c sharp

    Dear All,
    I need to know how can we create an alert, or a message on the execution of the last item in the List box.

    What do you mean by "on the execution of the last item in the list box"? Do you mean when that last item of a ListBox is selected? If so, you could use the following code:
    Private Sub ListBox1_SelectedIndexChanged(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) _
    Handles ListBox1.SelectedIndexChanged
    Dim lb As ListBox = CType(sender, ListBox)
    If lb.SelectedIndex = lb.Items.Count - 1 Then
    MessageBox.Show("Last item is selected")
    End If
    End Sub

  • Playlist is doubled .... each list item is listed twice

    12.1.0.5.0 iTunes  up to date
    All the items in my playlist listings are doubled: Diana Krall and Diana Krall 1  Dave Matthews and Dave Matthews 1  etc.  Does this have something to do with the cloud or a setting. I delete the doubled item (followed by a 1) but if soon reappears.
    Thanks

    You're if statements aren't correct, As you have them now if the first
    if result is equal to {"Co-Packer, 10.5oz"} then
    doesn't fire none of the following if statements will be evaluated. What you want to do is use
    if condition1 then
         statement1
    else if condition2 then
         statement2
    else if condition3 then
         statement3
    else
         statement4
    end
    So you code becomes:
    if result is equal to {"Co-Packer, 10.5oz"} then
             your code
    else if result is equal to {"Co-Packer, 32.0oz"} then
         your code
    else if result is equal to {"Co-Packer, Elixir"} then
         your code
    end

  • Content type, list definition and List instance - query

    Dear all,
    I created a list content type, list definition and list instance for a SessionsList.
    I did mistake when created a event receiver file where field name is RegistrationsInfo - did typo error as RegistrationInfo. This field I want to make it as false in the ShowInNewForm= false
    When I deploy it with event receiver file - I am getting stack trace error stating that the RegistrationsInfo field is missing.
    Without event receiver file - when I deploy the solution and checked the field name - it is showing rightly as RegistrationsInfo.

    Sathya

    Hi Sathya,
    Seems the field “RegistrationsInfo” is not been found when deploying with Event Receiver, a possible reason is that it might be damaged.
    As a workaround, I suggest you retract the solution from your farm, make sure the “RegistrationsInfo” field is deleted using PowerShell, then create another project with the same
    content and perform the deployment again.

    Feel free to reply if there any progress.

  • Please help on List Item... I'm stucked... :(

    Hi,
    I created my Data Block (my data block is called Supply inside
    have DeptId, VendorId and Date_Last_Meet) and Layout
    (Windows/Canvases) using the Wizard, than I chg one of the
    control item frm Text Item to List Item (Property Palette ->
    Item Type). And I added the following code (below) into the WHEN-
    NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger to populate the list:
    DECLARE
    group_id RecordGroup;
    list_id ITEM;
    BEGIN
    group_id := Create_Group_From_Query ('my_group',
    'SELECT DeptName FROM Department');
    list_id := Find_Item('DeptId');
    IF (Populate_Group(group_id) = 0) THEN
    Populate_List(list_id, group_id);
    END IF;
    END;
    When I run my form it give me this error (a popup error):
    FRM-30351: No list elements defined for list item.
    List DEPTID
    Created form file C:\MP3\75131\TEST_LIST_ITEM.fmx
    and this error (displayed in form status bar):
    FRM-41334: Invalid record group for list population.
    What wrong with the code? I tried every single code in this
    forum, but none of them work for me... could someone please help
    me out, I'm stucked... :(
    Note: I'm using Oracle8i and Form Builder [32 Bit] Version
    6.0.8.11.3 (Production).
    Thank You.
    Regard,
    Wai Chong

    Hello,
    For populating list from Query you need to return 2 columns
    from query, one will be display column and Second will be it's
    corresponding value. Problem is in your query.Look at following
    procedure. Value column must be converted to Character,that's
    why I am using To_char here.
    PROCEDURE POPULATE_ZONE IS
         V_ZONEITEM               ITEM;
         V_ZONEGROUP               RECORDGROUP;
         N
         NUMBER;
    BEGIN
              V_ZONEITEM     := FIND_ITEM('TSTATEM.ZONE');
              IF ID_NULL(V_ZONEITEM) THEN
                        MESSAGE('Item zone does not
    exists.');
                        MESSAGE('.');
              ELSE
                        V_ZONEGROUP :=
    CREATE_GROUP_FROM_QUERY('ZONEGRP','SELECT NAME,TO_CHAR(ZONE0)
    ZONE
         FROM YOGI.TZONEM ORDER BY ZONE0');
                   N := POPULATE_GROUP('ZONEGRP');
                   IF N <> 0 THEN
                             MESSAGE('Group zone does
    not contain entries.');
                             MESSAGE('.');
                             RAISE
    FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE;
                   ELSE
                             POPULATE_LIST
    ('TSTATEM.ZONE','ZONEGRP');
                   END IF;
         END IF;
    END;

  • Using REST to approve a list item

    I am pretty sure I already know the answer to this, but I am hoping someone here can say if its a bug or not and maybe get some visibility in MS on this issue.
    I am trying to approve a list item via JavaScript using the REST interface. I know how to do it with CSOM, but in this scenario I am crossing site collection boundaries and CSOM won't let you do that. I have
    tried setting _ModerationStatus, _moderationstatus, ows_ModerationStatus, and 'Approval Status' to 0 but I keep getting an error that the column is not a valid column on the list item type. Does anyone know of something special that can be done to get to some
    of the 'special' fields on a list item? My test code for reference.
    function example() {
    $.ajax({
    type: "POST",
    contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8",
    processData: false,
    beforeSend: function (xhr) {
    xhr.setRequestHeader("If-Match", "*");
    xhr.setRequestHeader("X-HTTP-Method", 'MERGE');
    url: "http://myserver/sites/full/path/to/site/_vti_bin/listdata.svc/MyList(1)",
    data: "{'ows_ModerationStatus':0}",
    dataType: "json",
    error: function (xhr) {
    alert(xhr.status + ": " + xhr.statusText);
    success: function () {
    alert("success");
    The exact error I am getting is:
    "Error processing request stream. The property name 'ows_ModerationStatus' specified for type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.DataService.MyCustomItem' is not valid."

    Hi,
    For your requirement, you can use the Lists Web Service to update the moderation status field for a specific list item with the Moderate operation.
    UpdateListItems method
    Here is a link with code demo for your reference:

  • Dynamic Population of List Item Not Working

    My requirement is to have 1 list item that is populated based on the value selected for a second list item. in the when-list-changed trigger of the second list item, i make a call to a procedure (code below). This seems to not like any of the clear_list or populate_list. the list item type is poplist. i set the class to list. if i use populate_list in when-new-form-instance, there's no problem. PLEASE HELP. When can't I populate list using a procedure??
    ERROR: frm-40734 internal error pl sql error occurred
    PROCEDURE Refresh_List IS
    v_rg_name VARCHAR2(40) := 'RGTEST';
    v_rg_id RecordGroup;
    v_sql varchar2(2048);
    problem EXCEPTION;
    status number;
    list_id item;
    BEGIN
         list_id := Find_Item('BLK_TEST.LST_TEST');
    v_sql:='select column_name from sys.all_tab_columns where table_name=''testtable''';
                   v_rg_id := Find_Group( v_rg_name );
                   IF Not Id_Null(v_rg_id) THEN
                             DELETE_GROUP( v_rg_id ) ;
                   End if;
                   clear_list(list_id);
                   v_rg_id := Create_Group_From_Query( v_rg_name, v_sql ) ;
                   status := Populate_Group( v_rg_name );
                   POPULATE_LIST(list_id, v_rg_id);
                   POPULATE_LIST('BLK_TEST.LST_TEST', 'RGTEST'); also tried this.
                   if status <> 0 then
                             raise problem;
                   end if;
              EXCEPTION
                   WHEN problem THEN
                             message('problem.');
                   WHEN others THEN
                             message('tooto');
    END;

    Thanks for the response. I've tried this example too and it still doesn't like the things mentioned in previous post. In addition, it doesn't like SET_RECORD_PROPERTY(:system.cursor_record,'EMP',status,new_status); I get the same sort of error. The form compiles fine though.
    Background on form:
    this form was created to allow users to dynamically build an update statement. On this form are a number of list items and text boxes that are not populated from a database. So the datablock doesn't retrieve values from the database and the only updating that will be done is when the user clicks an "update" button to execute the sql statement that is built. Could this issue I'm having be related to the way i designed my datablock and items? When the user selects an item from one of the list items, the record status goes to "Changed". So I assumed my issue was because of this and thought the set_record_property statement would help...but that is generating the same error. what am i missing? if i look at the index value of the record group after create_group_from_query, it is -1. after populate_group, it is still -1. should it still be -1?? any help is greatly appreciated.

  • How to filter data by list item

    Hi,
    You can try,
    POPULATE_LIST_BY_QUERY('BLK1.EMP_NAME', 'SELECT EMP_NAME, EMP_ID FROM EMPLOYEES WHERE EMP_NAME LIKE ''' || <your_search_variable> || '%''');Hope this helps.

  • SharePoint: Workflow to retrieve all users and Create list item record for each user

    Hi all,
    My share point site have two Lists as Holidays and MyCalender.
    Actually Holiday is simple non-Calender list with field as Holiday Date, Reason. MyCalender List Calender type list with Person Look-up column and user can see his own record. User of Manager group will declare holiday. This Holiday should get reflected
    on each user 's MyCalender List.[One listitem as holiday date and reason for each user] so everyone can view that record.
    I have requirement as Manager will create one Holiday record and then run single workflow so for all users present in SharePoint Site, one MyCalender List Item record should get created. Is it possible to do using Workflow?? Please help as I didn't get any
    solution for this.. Thanks in advance!

    You don't need one workflow per user when a filtered view can do this for you.  If the manager's list is the parent calendar, I'm assuming that he'll be at least using the person look-up column.
    Whether this feeds through the MyCalendar or stays where it is, you can use the [Me] parameter within the filter on a new view.  This will then return the assigned holiday filtering against the account that is logged in.
