Unknown tag when using JSTL

hi, I'm using BEA Workshop, I tried to use standard tag library but it keeps tell me an error "unknown tag", the tag I'm trying to use is:
<c:set var="ID" value=${param.id}>

and of course dont forget to close tag
<c:set var="ID" value="${param.id}" ></c:set> or just
<c:set var="ID" value="${param.id}"  />

    Im sorry I will try to be more clear.. and I appreciate all of ur input. Wi-fi works fine.. everything opens and functions fine on the I pad. The problem is I will click on app store or the I tunes store...it opens fine and I am able to look at and download apps  etc... but after being in the appstore or I tunes store for a couple of minutes I get kicked out to the I pads home screen. Its like pushing the home button but I didn't. It only seems to do this when im in the app store or I tunes store. I have been using the chrome browser and other downloaded apps such as ebay just fine with out this problem occurring. Not sure about safari as I dont use it and use chrome instead. Um I don't think the home button its self is faulty because it works fine and as stated before this only happens when I am in the appstore or I tunes . I've only had this I pad 1 64gb wi-fi for a few days .. I got it off of ebay it was stuck in restore mode getting error code 1611.  I was able to successfully Restore it with I tunes and it running ios 5.1. Seams to work great besides the problem being mentioned.

    iPhones no officially support USSD but I can sure it is support USSD because my friend's iPhone is work with USSD.
    I and my friend using same carrier same iPhone4S same codes,no JB but my friend's iPhone is work with USSD,only my iPhone cannot work with USSD.
    Thank for all answer,no need answer for me already because I just now send to apple store,they check is phone problem,so now claim warranty,need to wait 2 week to get back new iPhone =.="

    Hi all,
    I am a beginner in using JSTL 1.1 tag library in my web application and I got problems when I was dealing with it. The problem is, how can I pass the form bean parameter value (e.g. ArrayList) into the core tag? What should I do before defining the <c:forEach/> and the attributes I should defined inside the tag? I am confused with them. Could anyone have suggestions? Please do shout. Many thanks!

  • Unknown error when using daq express vi's

    Hi there i get unknown error when trying to use DAQ express VI's. I have downloaded and installed NI device drivers which was required to generate EXE since then this problem was occuring what should i do i have done all that was mentioned in the following thread

    Ok, if that is the situation and you've tried everything in the other thread. In the solution of this thread there's a zipfile posted that contains instructions and an application that can help you uninstall all NI software on a computer and start freesh.

  • I have just started using the new premiere CC. Gives unknown error when using CBR

    I tried using the same export setting for mpeg2 that I used in CS6, but CC will say Unknown error when I try to export. It will only work with Vpass 1 or 2. Any ideas why?

    Is the printer connected wirelessly or wired?
    Go to Preferences and under categories go to > Convert to Pdf then select the Image Capture and then hit ok button.
    Close Acrobat and then relaunch it and see if it helps you while you do scanning.

  • JDev gives error when using JSTL Core

    When following structure gives the mentioned errors on both the "if" tag and the "font" tag.
    <logic:notEmpty ...>
    <logic:iterate ...>
    <c:if ...>
    <font ...> <bean:write .../></font>
    </c:if>
    </logic:iterate>
    </logic:notEmpty>
    errors are "field apache not found in class java.lang.Object" and " ; expected" which flag the opening "<" for both the <c:if and the <bean:write
    It works just fine if I make the changes to the .jsp on the target server. This is a component of a struts-tiles web page.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    in which context do you use this, plain JSP or JSF ? If JSP, can you try without <logic:notEmpty ...> as this is not a standard JSTL element?

    A scriptlet expression is about all you can do.
    <bean:define id="tempVar" name="var in request"/>
    <logic:equal name="var in session" value="<%= tempVar %>">
    ...If you have a JSP2.0 container with EL enabled, then you could use an EL expression instead of the standard <%= expr %>

  • Unknown Error when using save for web

    When saving a gif using the "save for web" option in Photoshop CC 2014, I get a "Could not complete operation.An unknown error has occurred" message.  I am using Mac 10.10.1.  I tried deleting the "save for web" pref files but same error happens.  Size of the file being saved (large or small) makes no difference.  No problems saving files using "save as".  Photoshop was uninstalled/reinstalled.  Problem is still there.

    I think the reason why this question is asked often is because the FAQ entry is pretty lame and incomplete, especially for Mac users that by default have a color managed browser and by default have a screwed up rendering mechanism for untagged images.
    Depending on your version of Photoshop, you can convert to sRGB before or during the Save for Web operation.

    I've got a strange proble when using JSTL with tomcat.
    I've got two strings as the following:
         String id_string = (String)session.getAttribute("user_id");
         System.out.println(id_string);
         String valid_user = (String)session.getAttribute("valid_user");
    The "println" call tells me that "id_string" has a valid value.
    But when I use it like this in the same page:
    <a href="springapp/blog.htm?id=<c:out value=${ id_string " /><c:out value="${ valid_user }" />" >test
    I can only get "valid_user"'s value.
    "id_string" is not print out to the page.
    Would anyone please help me out?

    "id_string" is not print out to the page.Your session attribute is called "user_id" which you're fetching correctly earlier. But in the <c:out> tag, you're trying to read "id_string" which is the name of your local variable and not in any scope. "valid_user" works because you've named your local variable the same as your scope attribute, so the value being printed out is from the scope and not your local variable. As far as I know, JSTL doesn't work with local scriptlet variables, it only access variables in the four scopes: page, request, session and application
    You should use the <c:set> tag to set a variable value. Try not to mix scriptlets and tags, it's frowned upon and will probably cause you problems later.

    Same deal for me. I found an answer at ipadforums.com that fixed it for me. Go to settings, click on store, click on your user Id, sign out, and then sign back in. Hopefully it works for you too.

    The above-mentioned error occurs frequently recently.
    But, I rarely　succeed in downloading.
    So I confused.
    I can not suppose the reason.
    OS? itune application ?? network enviroment ?? Obstacle by plural factors?? rainy wether ???
    what is the reason why error occurs.
    and apple japan dose not give me any advice nor solution     It is a problem, too.
    I sent message "Unknown Error occured" to Apple Japan.
    Only they replyed that my message recived.

    Is there anyway to format the numeric values returned from the database when using <sql:query> alogn with <c:forEach> tags
    Here is my jsp code
