Unknown xml documents in all documents in finder

Hello,
Please could anyone help, I have been looking finder at all documents and there are 100's of XML documents shown with lots of letters and numbers below. When I try to open them they don't make sense, I have tried to delete them but they keep coming back, does anyone know why or how there are appearing?
Also why do my photos keep doubling up?
Thank you
Sue

Those are essential system and application files. Why are you even looking at all docs?
Deleting files you don't understand is a quick way to turn your computer into an expensive brick.
Now what's the problem with the photos? More detail is needed to determine what's happening.

congratulations on deciding to learn spring. that's a smart thing to do.
stop assuming that you did it correctly. the xml file is not in the classpath. when you get it there correctly, spring will find it.
you have the source files and xml in that directory, but where do the .class files end up when you run them? does the xml config end up there, too?
remember, the xml config should be in the directory where the root of the package hierarchy begins, not down where the .class files are.

• Pages app unexpectedly quit whilst I was in the middle of a document. I can now not open it AT ALL. I find it's not just that particular document that won't open, but any of my Pages docs will not open using the current version of Pages. Any help?

Pages app unexpectedly quit whilst I was in the middle of a document. I can now not open it AT ALL. I find it's not just that particular document that won't open, but any of my Pages docs will not open using the current version of Pages. The reports of the app unexpectedly closing each time, automatically went to Apple, but I am not sure what happens with them then. Does anyone know how to help me with this? We live in a very isolated region so rely on internet help. Thanks

I also managed to read a few other discussions about Pages and files not being able to open. I actually went to the last back-up and restored the computer from that and everything seemed to work ok again, which is great!...advice from another discussion I think you may have been involved in PeterB. Thanks for the advice...also this advice, as I will make a note of trying to open using the Shift key if it happens again and see what happens...might be an easier first option than restoring from a back-up. Thans heaps for the help!
I was interested to read some of the other discussions where it was stated that Pages '09 seems to be a better option to use. I have both installed, so I will lkeep this in mind. Thanks heaps!

• How to Add namespace to all elements in a xml document

Hi,
I am trying to read an xml file that does not have any namespace definitions. I have been able to create another schema in which i specify the namespace defination as shown below.

<xs:schema xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="http://TargetNamespace.com/AckPaymentFile_PL" targetNamespace="http://TargetNamespace.com/AckPaymentFile_PL" xmlns:nxsd="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/nxsd" nxsd:version="DTD" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified">
<include schemaLocation="PM_XML_FILE_ACK_SCHEMA_NO_NAMESPACE.xsd"/>
</xs:schema>
Once i do it, i am able to see the namespace has been assigned to the root element. I am looking for a way to assign the namespace and prefix tag to all elements in the xml document. If i don't i am unable to access any part of the xml document, keep getting please verify if xpath is correct.
Thanks

Hello,
Once you've answered all the above.
If you can run xpath that supports functions against the xml, the expression:
count(//phone)Otherwise, without leaving SQL:
select count(*) from
xmltable('//phone' passing
-- Your XML goes here, could be a table column with type XMLTYPE.
xmltype('<person><phone>123-456-7890</phone><phone>098-765-4321</phone></person>')
columns phone varchar2(24 char) path '/phone'

• Process XML attributes of all tables in a structured document

Hi all,
I try to process the XML attributes of all tables in a structured document.
When I use SelectedTbl everything works fine for the selected table and the attributes of the tabelle Element are written correctly to the Console.
doc = app.ActiveDoc;
table = doc.SelectedTbl;
if (table.TblElement)
Console('Elementname: ' + table.TblElement.ElementDef.Name);
tblEle = table.Element;
attrs = tblEle.GetAttributes();
for (i = 0; i < attrs.len; i++) {
aName = attrs[i].name;
aWert = attrs[i].values;
Console( "     " + aName + "    " + aWert);
However when I use GetText(Constants.FTI_TblAnchor) to walk through all tables of the documens neither ElementDef.Name nor Attributes are processed.
var flow = doc.FirstFlowInDoc;
var textItems = flow.GetText(Constants.FTI_TblAnchor);
while(iTab<textItems.length) {
table = textItems[iTab].obj;
if (table.TblElement)
Console('Elementname: ' + table.TblElement.ElementDef.Name);
tblEle = table.Element;
attrs = tblEle.GetAttributes();
for (i = 0; i < attrs.len; i++) {
aName = attrs[i].name;
aWert = attrs[i].values;
Console( "     " + aName + "    " + aWert);
Any Suggestions?
Yours
Wolfgang

You'll probably want all the tables from the main flow. Try
var flow = doc.MainFlowInDoc;
Kind regards

• XMLSig: validating an XML document incl. all certificates

Hello,
I have created a XML document signed with a certificate. I have added whole certification chain (first entry the users certificate, last CA) in the document:
X509Data x509d = kif.newX509Data(Arrays.asList(myChain));
ki = kif.newKeyInfo(Collections.singletonList(x509d));
...The document validates perfectly with XMLSignature.validate method but I am not sure if this method validates the certificates. I suppose not.
Are there any standard processes to validate X509 certification chain from XML-signed document? Or do I have to retrive and verify all certificates myself? If so how? I have my very own KeySelector but I do not have idea how to use it to retreive my certificates:
private static class X509CertKeySelector extends KeySelector {
@SuppressWarnings({"LoopStatementThatDoesntLoop"})
public KeySelectorResult select(KeyInfo keyInfo,
KeySelector.Purpose purpose,
AlgorithmMethod method,
XMLCryptoContext context)
throws KeySelectorException {
if (keyInfo == null) {
throw new KeySelectorException("Null KeyInfo object!");
List list = keyInfo.getContent();
for (Object aList : list) {
XMLStructure xmlStructure = (XMLStructure) aList;
if (xmlStructure instanceof X509Data) {
try {
X509Data xd = (X509Data) xmlStructure;
X509Certificate[] certs = (X509Certificate[]) xd.getContent().toArray(new X509Certificate[0]);
return new X509CertChainSelectorResult(certs);
} catch (ClassCastException e) {
throw new KeySelectorException("X509Data must contain X509 certificate list", e);
} else {
throw new KeySelectorException("KeyInfo doesn`t contain X509Data");
throw new KeySelectorException("No KeyValue element found!");
private static class X509CertChainSelectorResult implements KeySelectorResult {
private X509Certificate[] certificates;
X509CertChainSelectorResult(X509Certificate[] certs) {
this.certificates = certs;
for (X509Certificate c: certificates) {
System.out.println(c);
public X509Certificate[] getCertificates() {
return certificates;
public Key getKey() {
if (certificates != null && certificates.length > 0) {
PublicKey publicKey = certificates[0].getPublicKey();
return publicKey;
} else
return null;
}ps - the certificates are stored in BASE64 encoding, I would prefer something "nicer" XMLSig allows to store certificates in the XML-way... whats the trick to store the certification chain in the XML human-readable format?

Verifying
the chain (with the root certificate in a secure
store) is only part of the whole verifying process.
You also need to verify that the signature is over
the correct data, and that the correct
transformations have taken place. This is missing
from the documentation. You might also need a CRL or
other way to revoke certificates, depending on the
usage of the library.Thank you but what you mean with correct data and transformation? XMLDigSig will do it for me, wont it? You are abolutely right with CRLs, in my TODO list... :-D

• How to find changes in XML document?

I haven't seen this problem discussed, which surprises me because it must be pretty common.
I get the same (large amount of) XML data every night. I need to find out what has been added, changed and deleted since the last transfer and put the changes into an existing relational database.
I thought it could be a good idea to use the XML DB for the job of finding changes. Register the XSD and load the XML and use some queries to compare with last nights data to find out what has changed, and somehow transfer the changed data to the existing relational tables.
Do any of you have any experience in what is the best way to do this?

Hi
Try it out in Tcode AUT10.
In this enter the from date and To date and enter the transaction MB22.
Then execute.
It will show the list of changes done in the paticular period.

• Creating an xml document from filenames of selected files

Hey guys, I am totally new to automator and applescript so please be kind!
I have an xml/flash image portfolio website which has image galleries. Each gallery has an xml document which specifies a thumbnail and full size photo to be displayed in the gallery. If I want to make a new gallery I have to make a new xml document and enter all the filenames of the images I want to display in the gallery. ( I guess you can see where this is going).
This is fine if I have 10 images in the gallery but if I want to make a gallery with 350 images in then it could get pretty tedious.
What I would love to be able to do is select a group of images and then have a script or automator action that can copy the files names and create a new gallery xml document containing the relevant code with all the files names. Ideally then saving the gallery with a sequential filename.
Tying this into the new contextual services menu in snow leopard would really make the task incredibly easy.
Is this possible? I'm not scared of learning how to do this therefore some pointers in the right direction would be great.
Thanks,
Chris

• How to compare the contents of two XML documents

Hi all,
I was trying to compare the contents of two xml documents, they are both validate for the same XML Schema. i was using the xmlunit to do this. but some how it doesn't work like what i have expected. for example:
1.xml : <test>
2

1
</test>
2.xml: <test>
3

2

1
</test>
the result from XMLUnit is this two xmls are different, but it compares
2
with
3
, which i cannot find out where the real diiffs are.
does anybody know how i can do this correct?
best regards,
tina

I faced a similar problem in one of my projects and hence wrote my own comparator. Most comparators like ExamXML etc show XML as different if the nodes under a parent node occur in different seqeunce or a set of repeated nodes occur in different sequence. The comparator that I wrote gives you the flexibility to configure how to identify a node from a set of repeated nodes and is able to compare them successfully if they occur in any order. You can view the sample output at http://geocities.com/dheerendra_itbhu/TipsFromDheeru.html
and contact me in case you need the source code.

For the last 5 years (and in IPCC3.x/4.x,UCCX/5.x/7.x) I've used the same basic subflow to read a XML document that contains holiday dates where the queue should be closed. I've re-used this script on 20+ client installs and it's always worked. The structure of the script allows you to pass the path and filename of the XML document as parameters to the subflow. (The document is in the repository)
I loaded this script in UCCX 8.0.2 recently and it crashed with a Java.IO error. It looked like it was trying to read the file system directly and not the repository. (In the Linux appliance model this kind of makes sense but why is the step trying to read the file system directly?)
So I open a TAC case (SR# 615243125) and TAC tells me that the method of using the Create File Document step is not supported anymore and that I should specify the filename directly in the Create XML Document step
The problem that I see (aside from having to edit all my scripts that use XML files) is that the Create XML Document step is looking for the input to be a type DOCUMENT and not a type STRING. This seems to imply that I have to hardcode the document in each script that I deploy for a customer. When it was a string it was easy to construct the full file path from parameters and pass to the subflow.
Questions to the group
#1 Am I missing something here?
#2 Do you assume that you'll be able to load a script that worked fine in UCCX 7 into UCCX 8 and that it should completely function when you're doing everything according to the step reference documentation.
#3 Cisco didn’t document this in any way that I can find.
#4 How can you use the Create XML Document step in a fashion that would let you construct the path of the file and the filename previously in the script so you could pass it to a subflow ? It would seem this functionality has been killed in UCCX 8

The create XML document input can only be a type DOCUMENT

#1 Am I missing something here?
You are mixing two different issues together here.
The Create File Document step is indeed not needed or supported for creating an XML document. That is why there is a unique step; to trigger XML parsing within the MIVR subsystem.
Accessing the file system is restricted to a single folder within the VOS model (i.e. 8.0+). This folder is not backed up, replicated, or cleaned up automatically. It was intended to give developers some FS access as a temporary swap location only.
#2 Do you assume that you'll be able to load a script that
worked fine in UCCX 7 into UCCX 8 and that it should completely
function when you're doing everything according to the step reference
documentation.
Assume nothing; read the documentation and attend one of the dozens of partner training sessions that CCBU put on advising of the upcoming changes.
#3 Cisco didn’t document this in any way that I can find.
You're right, I guess, on the Create File vs. XML Document step. AFAIK Cisco never wrote a notice into the Step Reference Guide explicitly stating that you cannot use the Create File Document although the documentation seemed pretty clear to me without it. File system restrictions are documented in the 8.0 release notes.
Scripting and Development Series: Volume 2, Editor Step ReferenceUse the Create XML Document step to create a logical document that maps a document to another document variable (where the document has already been pre-parsed as an XML document and is ready to be accessed by the Get XML Document Data step).Use this step before the Get XML Document Data step to obtain data from a document formatted using the Extensible Markup Language (XML).
#4 How can you use the Create XML Document step in a fashion that would
let you construct the path of the file and the filename previously in
the script so you could pass it to a subflow ? It would seem this functionality has been killed in UCCX 8
No it hasn't; just concatinate a string to build the Source Document parameter the step needs. Example: "DOC[" + myFilePath + "]"

• Binary content in XML document

Hi all,
I'm currently facing a problem regarding XML and binary content. What I need to do is basically send an XML-RPC message to invoke a method that has a parameter which accepts a file. I'm not sure how to include binary content in an XML document. Other than that, does anybody know if I can use some sort of common multipart request class to accept the XML-RPC calls from the client? In the end I should have a servlet that takes care of transferring the request (XML-RPC with file) to the apropriate service and construct and send a response...

How does the aproach of establishing a momentary peer-to-peer connection for a file transfer compare with HTTP uploads? Does it work just about the same way?
Basically, this means I would need to build a client program that first opens a server socket for the actual file transfer, then sends a message to the application server that it wishes to upload a file and then accepts a connection from that application server to transmit the file...
Sure. ;-) However, if you're asking where you might find such an animal then I can't help you...
Apparently I don't need such a class anyway, if I use common XML-RPC messages and transfer binary content in another way... ;)
