Unlocking iphone during backup

I have backed up and synced many times from the same computer with no password. Now it wants a password to unlock backup file?!?
I did not set up this password. Anyone figure it out yet?

Backup if not fails because of the size might not fail and complete. It jsut might you wont be able to restore it because of the chnages made during backup. Actually never tried this, but I am sure you wont get correct backup on sp2007. On SP 2010 wont be
the issue using snapshot option.

Unlocking site during backup

I have created a automated site collection backup script using powershell in moss 2007. The backup size goes upto 150gb approx. It takes around 12-15 hours to backup, till then my site collection is locked (site collection and quotas is read-only). What
if i unlock(site collection and quotas is unlocked) the site collection while the backup is running?
Will my backup get successfully completed if i unlock the site collection manually everyday after starting the backup script?

The screen of my iphone 5s is shattered cant unlock iphone to backup to the computer is there anything that I can do to recover photos?

The screen is just black, so I cant unlock my iphone in order to back it up to the computer because it asks me to enter the passcode on my iphone. is there a way of unlocking it with the computer? please help!!

No. The passcode exists only on the phone. You can take the phone to an Apple store and they may be able to replace the screen without erasing the phone.
Are you sure you never set up automatic backup to iCloud or to your computer?

The photos could have gone a couple of different places ...but it is unlikely that they are lost forever. It kind of depends how your Backup was done. With many Computer-based iTunes connections, your Computer Photo App will actually open first when you connect your iPhone and the photo transfer will happen between the iPhone and the App. Assuming that isn't what happened in your case, but you did Backup on iTunes, you could reconnect to iTunes and then click on your iPhone button on the Computer screen ...typically the iTunes Summary screen will show up ...but you can tab-through the various iTunes Screens and find the Photo page. You could check your options and see if you have a Manual Sync setting regarding iTunes to iPhoone ...this would mean you have to select the Photos you want to download to the iPhone during the Sync.

That should not make any difference. What I see in that error is that you may be trying to install an iOS that is not the most current version. The current version for the iPhone 4 is iOS 7.0.4. You cannot install any other iOS on the phone. Is this what you were trying to do, install something besides iOS 7.0.4?

Malware on my factory unlocked 4s?!? restore iphone or backup???

I have a factory unlocked iPhone 4s (unlocked thru iTunes courtesy of AT&T when it was easy to do so...). I have started to get spam ads which appear 'over' the lock screen of my phone. These ads are in the same format as the reply from a T-Mobile short code - black background, simple white text, and a white 'Dismiss' button at the bottom of the screen. The only way to use the phone again is to deal with the ad by hitting the 'dismiss' button. In short, my phone is being taken over without my consent.
I called T-Mobile tech support, Apple specialty department 3 times now. The first time we went thru Safari and turned on block pop-ups, do not track, and cleared history/website data, then did a soft reset (held power and home button down until the device turned off, per directions). This did not work.
The next time I called, the person was familiar with many recent compaints on what they called 'Scensi Ads' (sp?), thought it was Facebook, so I voluntarily removed FB then did an iOS update which we thought would wipe any malware off in the process. Within 5 minutes of the update I got another ad...
The last time I called I exchanged pictures of the ads, went thru a long discussion which was seeming to lead to nowhere, so I suggested removing ALL my apps, then doing a restore with only the factory apps. They liked the idea if I was wiling to do so...
So I've removed all my apps, then did a backup. Now I'm wondering if I should do a 'restore iphone' or 'restore backup' ? I'd like to keep all my text conversations/voicemail/call records/etc. (i.e. do the 'restore backup'), but am wondering if that's going wipe everything clean enough?
If I do a 'restore iphone' how difficult is it to re-load my music files/contacts?
Could this problem be coming from a source other than apps? I'm wondering if there is a contact I'm unaware of that is being exploited to make this happen? I notice several contacts that I'm not sure how they got into my phone?
If I do a 'restore iphone' to factory is there a way to selectively load contacts back on the phone (I've associated with Outlook - maybe I shouldn't associate with Outlook?)?

UPDATE: Was on the phone with T-Mobile last night for quite a while. They told me they have no way of tracing these messages either(!). They said if I removed all my apps and did a backup/restore, the only thing left was my apple id or the phone number itself. They suggested I change my apple id and if that doesn't work then I need to change my phone number. Very frustrating...
Soooo, I figured what the heck and logged onto the site from the last ad from my home pc. I posted a message asking them to remove my number from their flash text list and then another asking to remove my number and the messages from the message board when they had done so. I expected another ad this morning but was surprised to see none. I also went back on the website and see my messages have been removed.
Waiting to see what happens...
Very disconcerting that no one can trace these flash texts. I also see all over the web that these are prohibited here in the US - is this true? Apparently newer phones are unable to do this but some older phones can still get these messages thru (and there are websites / jailbreaks that will let you do this also)? Seems to be a problem overseas.

Don't know what that means but Softbank does not unlock iPhones.

Was it purchased from an official Apple Store, not a reseller? Only Apple Stores sell official factory unlocked phones. The others sell hacked to unlock phones, and the unlocking is unstable.
Try these steps, as needed:
1. Reset phone - press both home and on/off buttons for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
2. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
3. Replace SIM card (and reset network settings again)
4. Restore Phone in iTunes using a backup
5. Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup

Apple-unlocked iPhone became locked suddenly!!

I have an Apple-unlocked iPhone 3GS which I bought in Australia 2 years ago. It's always worked fine with various SIMs and varuious carriers - I travel a lot so unlocked was my chocie as I use SIMs in each country I visit. Recently in UK, I bought and installed a prepaid (pay as you go) SIM while I was there and now I find the phone is locked to that carrier. Well, at least it will not make calls - it'll recieve calls and it'll send and recieve SMS messages, but I can't make any calls - it just begins the calling process then gives call failed message. Now I find the problem, I've moved on to another country so getting the carrier to see to it is impossible for me. So now I have a locked phone because somehow a carrier has been able to disable the factory unlock by using their SIM I installed. This is a carrier I have not used before with this phone.
Amazing... how can that happen? How can a carrier have that sort of power over the device???
Can anyone tell me what's happened here? How can I get back to the original unlocked state?
I've tried a total Restore, but no change - still locked.

Okay I found the fix. Firstly it was not actually locked - I realised it couldn't be since it was still receiving calls and sending/receiving texts. Locked would give the SIM warning at the unlock screen.
So... eventually, Restored the phone and set up as a new iPhone instead of from backup. No more problem. Must have been corrupt backup files, so deleted all those from my Mac and have started from scratch with the new setup.

Your advice is about all I can think of doing. I have a friend in Milan that the phone can be sent back to. I have a funny feeling that when I get the phone back I'll have the same issues.....
I can get a antenna replaced here in the UK for about GBP60....but that would invalidate the warranty.
What is a lingering doubt over it being a hardware issue is why would it work perfectly with one contry's SIM and not anothers ?
