How do I update an asset in use by Edge Animate?

Hi there,
Go to the Library in the Assets section, right-click on the image you want to update, and choose Reveal in Finder/Explorer. From there, open your image file in the editor of choice, make your changes, save, and then return to Animate and accept the changes in the update dialog.

Updating Edge Animate asset crashes Muse

Have inserted an Adobe Edge Animate file in Muse. All works fine until I make updates to the Edge Animate original.
When I click to update the resource in the Asset panel. Muse crashes. It works once, never twice.
Muse doesn't display the asset correctly. If I have a background colour in the Animate doc it doesn't show in Muse, not in preview mode either, but this is not a big problem, it shows up if I preview in a browser ...

This was a test I performed in a few hours. So I used the same version of Edge and Muse when trying it out.
Muse version: 7.0.314
Edge Animate version: 2.0.1
In my Edge animate document I only had two elements.
I created a new document, didn't change anything in default setup.
I added a rectangle, no fill nothing.
I added a text field, wrote the word "Text"
Saved as a .oam file
Inserted into muse
back to edge, added a background color to the rectangle
updated asset in muse, muse crashed
imported again to muse, preview did not show the red background, but preview in browser did
back to edge, duplicated the text object three times
updated asset in muse, muse crashed...
created a new edge animate file from scratch, repeated all the above steps
muse crashed every time I updated the asset.

Update Asset details in AIBU transaction

Hi,
      If an asset has four invoices and these are settled to another asset using AIBU, the standard program settles the sender line items to the receiver as one line item in the receiver.
      Our requirement is to settle each line item in the sender as a separate line item in the receiver. For that we are trying for BADIs,EXITS or Ehancement points.
     We were able to update the asset accounting details using the BADI,BADI_FIAA_DOCLINES but we were not able to update asset details( transaction type, assignment field etc) in ANEP,AUAS tables. The transaction type is changing and defaulting to 345(for sender) and 346(for receiver). Please tell me how to achieve this.

I need to achieve my requirement through coding. I have created few enhancement spots and its working fine now. But accounting details were not updating correctly. I need to update them(ACCIT table) with Assingment, item text etc in the BADI BADI_FIAA_DOCLINES. Could not find the link to update the reciver entries with sender details aptly. Please suggest me the solution for this.

Update Asset Values through TCode AS92

HI all,
We would like to update Asset values ( Depreciation values) based on depreciation areas through Tcode AS92.
Can some one suggest a Function module or any alternative to do the same. Would like to get help at the earliest.

I think that you are trying to post prior-year assets.
You can use the standard programs:
RAALTD01 - Batch Input
RAALTD11 - Direct Input
Or take a look at these FMs:
BAPI_FIXEDASSET_CREATE1
BAPI_FIXEDASSET_OVRTAKE_CREATE
Also, since FS91 is simple you can do a BDC recording!

Update assets

I am having trouble with iDVD. I work with Final Cut Express HD 3.5 to edit the video, then export the video to a .dv file. I import the .dv file to iMovie HD (6.0.03) add chapter markers there, then send the project to iDVD. When I am finished making menus and adding audio, I quit it, but if I open it again iDVD asks me if I want to update the assets. When I click update assets, I ruins all of my chapter markers and all the scene selections point to one marker. If I don't click update assets, iDVD will ask me to update assets when I burn it. HELP!!! I have searched forums and haven't found anything. The only way the I've restored my markers is by 1) Starting the iDVD project over again or 2) Deleting the iDVD .plist file (which really isn't a solution, because once I open the project again, it asks me again if I want to update assets which…………and the process repeats itself again).

Interesting. I'd try giving the iMovie version a different file name than your FCE version and then import into iDVD rather than pushing it over using the Share command. I don't know the optimum export format for FCE, but you might search over there to make sure .dv is the best.

Muse keeps crashing when updating assets

Hiya, in the last hour Muse has frozen after I have tried to update an asset. It now prompts me at start up to update assets or update later - regardless of my selection it tries to update there and then and freezes with muse unusable.
Can you help?

Update asset master record serial number (ANLA-SERNR) when doing GR

Hi gurus,
The client has a requirement to update the serial# on an asset master record when the user process goods receipt through MIGO. I've looked at the functional side to find a solution for this but I have not found any. Is there a BADI or another functionality that we can use to update the serial# on an asset master record upon GR?

Update Asset when creating Equipment

Hi,
The following scenario I have setup. First I create a new asset. Then I create a Purchase order (PO) with Account Assignment Asset where I use the new created asset. In the PO I use a material with serial number profile. During the Goods Recipts (GR), de costs are automatically posted to the asset that was used in the PO. And during GR the Equipments are automatically created based on the serial number profile. So far so good. But this scenarios created no link between the asset and the equipment. And I know how to setup synchronization between assets and equipment, but that is if you create an equipment and you want automatically the asset to be created. In our case the asset was already created before the PO and all I want is that the asset is updated with the equipment number at the moment tha the equipment is created during GR. I hope anyone can help me with this.

I have linked the asset and material via equipment master a while ago. Please try below and let me know if you have any further questions.
Cofig-steps
1. Create a non-valuated Material 'Test' and assign serial no profile ex. 0001.
2. Configure a Asset Class (Ex. 2000) to create equipment along with asset (search IMG for 'Automatic Creation of Equipment Master Records')
Steps:
1. Create PO with Material 'Test' , Account Assignment Category 'A'. In ME21N, Create a new asset in asset class (ex. 2000). Equipment master is auto created.
2. GR the material with a serialnumber or use equipment# itself as serial#. Equipment gets added in the Product structure of the material.
3. Invoice posting assigns the value to asset.

Update asset PO Number

Hi,
In oracle apps 11i how can i update an asset source line; in particular the PO Number.
The case is we are having that for assets that are not coming from the payables module the user needs to enter the PO number manually.If the assets is saved without entering the PO number, how can we update or modify the existing blank source line of the assets. It appears as greyed out and does not allow update.

How to update Asset transactions

Hi FI Experts,
I've been updating a asset by providing values for ANLC table during asset creation. The asset summary is getting updated properly for the fiscal year. I can see them under Planned Value tab..
But Transactions is not updated.
Could anybody help, which table contains the entry for asset transactions. Can it be updated during asset creation?

I don't find the BAPI FIXEDASSET_CREATEINCLVALUES in the system. Could you please provide me the correct BAPI and if possible an example on how to create a reference asset.
As I mentioned, I'm using Z Object, which is a copy of LAFA_ASSET_CREATE. I'm providing the values for ANLC using the FM AMSP_ADD_ENTRIES_TO_GLOBAL_TBS (available in LAFA_ASSET_CREATE). So the values for the asset is properly updated. I can not pass values for tables ANEK and ANEP using the same FM i.e. AMSP_ADD_ENTRIES_TO_GLOBAL_TBS so I'm using FM AMBU_APPEND_LINES_OF_ITAB_AC to update values of ANEP and ANEK. But the values for ANEP and ANEL are not getting updated. If you can suggest something here, it would be great help.

Asset shift factor not updating assets in the asset history list

Recently we had updated the Asset shift factor for June 2011, but the factor has not been updated in the assets.
If we check through OA02 then the factor is updated there , but if checked in AS03 after executing and releasing the worklists generated by S_ALR_87011990 then these are not updated and displaying the old factors.
please guide.

the asset history sheet shows what is defined in the "history sheet version"
-> Tr. OA79.
Here you can define the columns.
Double click on the column. Here you ca see which history sheet group are assigned. The assigned transaction types are displayed in the asset history sheet.
History sheet groups you can check in (TABW-GITTGR and TABW-BWASL).

Replacing assets for updated assets

I just finished a project, including the DVD, but upon delivery my client noticed one tiny glitch that I hadn't. I went back through FCP and corrected it, re-exported it in Compressor, and have imported the new video and audio files into DVDSP. My question is, is there a way for me to simply replace the old video/audio with the new in terms of all my chapter connections. The movie is exactly the same in length and time ( I only had to correct one image and remove the motion blur effect--so length and such were not effected).
It seems like there should be an easy work around instead of having to go in and re-create the fonts etc in all the chapter menus.

Not always that easy. Many times the project or the container (menu, track) becomes corrupt.
It is suppose to work were you replace the old asset file with a new file named the same in the same place and DVDSP will see that the asset has changed and wala... all is well. The reality is that the best thing to do is create a new asset with a version number update (i.e. bill001) then import this new asset and then remove the old one from it's container and replace with the new one. Then double check any chapter markers (if applicable).

Stuck in "Updating Assets" window

Stuck in "Updating 3 assets" window when opening site. I have to force close. Done that numerous times. I've restarted computer, same thing. Tried opening a recent backup version, still "updating". ( My Muse is not up to date... waiting for xmas for new computer to update to necessary OSX, etc.). Help?

Well that worked!! Yeah!! Great solution ---- Except, when I went to relink the first asset, it got hung up trying to update them all:
Sooo, I force-quit, renamed my source folder again, restarted. It worked, I got in.
I deleted what I thought might be a corrupted file (from what I was working on last week). Then went to relink an asset. It got hung again, this time with slightly less assets:
Is there anyway to stop Muse from trying to Relink automatically? I can't delete them all! Do you think it is a corrupted file?
(Fortunately, this is my own personal website (I am a part-time graphic designer), which I just launched after procrastinating for about a year. I do use Muse for about 7 client's websites. This one: www.grayrockgraphics.com. There are some things I really need to change, but at least it's finally up.... )

Updating assets panel

so i update muse with the latest update and i open one of my clients site (big one) and all of my assets need to be update (around 2500)
1. i try to update all in one time - muse stop responding and crush
2. i try to update a few everytime - muse can't be saved or save as so i force to close it and when i open it no assets was update
3. everything is so slow...takes hours...
any advice?
