Update failed for Acrobat X Pro - Error 1321

I'm unable to update and receiving the error message:
Error 1321. The Installer has insurfficient priveleges to modifiy the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acro install files\program files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Resource\Font\CourierStd-Bold.otf
Can anyone help with this.

This worked for me.
1) Uninstall adobe acrobat pro x
2.) Restart
3.) Rename c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 10.0 c:\program files\adobe\oldactobat 10.0
4.) reinstall adobe acrobat pro x and update.

Updater fails for Acrobat 9.1.3

For the past week, I have been getting a message when Acrobat 9.1.2 tries to upgrade to 9.1.3 - The installation process has encountered a problem. Please choose from the following options: run again, stop and continue later, cancel. Nothing seems to work to get it to install, and nothing clears the error. Is there a proper sequence of events to get this taken care of so that the updater can run through successfully? Thanks.

I was also having this issue. I ended up removing Reader (and other Adobe stuff) via "Windows Install Clean Up" (download from microsoft.com) I restarted the computer, downloaded Reader and then updated. It worked!
I did not have to turn off my Anti-virus program and I was logged in as the main user.

Where can I find all the updates/patches for Acrobat 8 Pro. I did find up to 8.1.1 and tried to install 8.1.2, but it will not recognize my current version of Acrobat. So I am thinking there must be another update between those two. The check for updates does not work.

Following an update on Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro

Today there was a large update to Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and once the update had installed I keep getting the following message
"You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by ininstalling and the reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help. (147:6)"
I have uninstalled and reinstalled with the same error code and when contacting Adobe was told they are only customer support and not technical. Has anyone got and suggestions for me.

The last update for the Acrobat 9 Family was back in May 2013 (to version 9.5.5*). That product is now end of line, there will never be any more updates and Adobe doesn't provide any customer support.

Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection installs except for Acrobat X Pro

I was able to install Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection, except for Acrobat X Pro. Its installation fails. I tried rebooting with no change.

Need for Acrobat 9 Pro Extended 64-bit Add-on

Can anyone tell me if this 34 KB add-on is necessary for Acrobat Pro Extended version 9.5.2? Can find no infomation on Adobe's website about it. It was installed with original software on 8/2011.

All I can tell you is it's title in the "Programs and Features" tool of Windows 7. To whit: "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended 64-bit Add-On." It has an installation date of 8-30-2011 and is only 34KB in size, according to Windows. It is listed below the Main Acrobat 9 Pro program, which doesn't give it's size, but does give the current version of 9.5.2, which is the latest for Acrobat 9 Pro as far as I know.
The one thing I want to establish is whether this add-on is necessary for the current version of Acrobat 9 Pro to function or not. I can find no guidance on Acrobat's website; at least a search reveals nothing anyway. And it is not referenced in their update site at all. If worse comes to worse, I will call them for guidance because our security types are listing it as a problem, and I am wondering if they are confusing this add-on with the main program.

Acrobat XI Pro Upgrade Issue Recognizing Serial Number for Acrobat X Pro

I purchased Acrobat XI pro upgrade yesterday, was able to install, deactivate Acrobat X pro. Now however, it is rejecting the serial number for Acrobat X pro and I can't use the program. Please help!!

Sometimes there are server issues and such. A reinstall is a bit drastic. Try http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows.

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
