Update MnfSerial by DTW

Hello,
I manage items with internal serial numbers and I need to import a excel list of supplier's serials I need to link to my internal numbers.
I know I can do it by Serial number management or Serial number details, but how can I managed it through DTW?
Thanks a lot.

Does anybody have a solution for me?
Thanks again.

  • Updating BOMs via DTW

    Hello,
I am trying to update my BOMs via DTW. There is a tick box called "Hide BOM Components on Printoutu201D on the SALES BOM that i would like to tick but it doesnt seem to have a mapping in the DTW template. I've tried adding a column called "HideComp" to the ProductTrees template but DTW does not recognize this or allow me to manually map the feild.
What can i do? Any suggestions are much appreciated.
    Greeshma

    HI Joseph,
If i tick what you suggested in the Document SEttings then the Component items of the Sales BOM can still be seen when you are adding the document in SAP but you just cannot see their indivdual prices. When you do a print preview of the document the component items still show. I do not want them to show on the physcial printout of the document-whether it is a SAles Order or Invoice.
    Kind regards,

  • Update Artikelstamm mit DTW: Fehler Artikel bereits vorhanden

    Hallo zusammen,
Can not find the object in B1Application defined or object-defined error 65171".

    1. Etwas stimmt nicht mit den Templates
    Gross/Kleinschreibung in Objekt Keys

  • Price List Update Error through DTW

    Hi Experts,
I am importing Price List in SAP B1 9.0 PL6 but it gives me error "This Entry Already Exist in the following Tables(ODBC-2035) 65171"
I ready on SCN but not get proper solution.
        Can anybody can help me...
    Regards,
    Sandesh Shinde

    Hi Sandesh..
In SAP Business One Data Transfer Workbench after Version 2004, the PriceList or PriceListName column is not required in the Items_Prices template.
To comply with other item templates, SAP Business One Data Transfer Workbench uses the field LineNum to index the sequence of the price list.
The LineNum starts from '0' which indexes the first Price List in the database.
Using the # column(Red selection) in the screenshot below the LineNum is the # number minus(-) 1. For example, 0 for Base Price, 1 for the Discount Purchase Price and so on. Following this logic, please note that in this example the LineNum for New Price List02 is 6.
To update a pricelist you need to enter the PriceList LineNum in the LineNum column. If the PriceList or PriceListName column is present, data should not be entered in the column.
    Example:
An update is required to the price lists "Base Price" and "New Price List02" from the screenshot above. The update requires the Currency set to "GBP" and Price set to "10"  for Item A00001 in both Price Lists.
Set the data file Items_Prices as follows:
    ParentKey,LineNum,Currency,Price,PriceList
    ItemCode,LineNum,Currency,Price,PriceList
    A00001,0,GBP,10
    A00001,6,GBP,10

  • DTW Failing to Update Pricing

    Hi,
I updated pricing for a particular price list for a bunch of items using the DTW but not all have updated.
The log from the DTW reported all were successful, but about 10% of items didn't change.  The template is definitely correct as I have done it multiple times before and 90% of the changes worked.
I am able to update these items manually, but I still don't know why they failed to update with the DTW after it reported they were successful.
I have also tried uploading the template again and still does the same thing.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Michael

    Hi Michael
I get this problem to and I think that it's an intermittent bug in DTW. If you use a comma delimited import file try text, or visa-versa. In the end I had to manually add several records and even then these records would not update when I used DTW for a global edit.
On the plus side it's still quicker than typing.

  • DTW update UDT fields - Version 88.0.10

    Hello,
I have already searched this forum for similar issues, but they only fit to older DTW-versions or UDO (masterdata or forms)
We created an UDT (no object) with one UDF (text). So we kept our testenviroment as small as possible.
    Import runs without problems:
    Code;Name;U_toll
    1;1;blabla
    2;2;test
But update doesnt work - DTW returns error message: "Can not find this object in B1Application-defined or object defined error65171":
    Code;Name;U_toll
    1;1;zzz
    2;2;ggg
We also tried to update with LineNum (or #) and/or RecordKey:
    RecordKey;LineNum;Code;Name;U_toll
    1;1;1;1;zzz
We also tried to update without Name or Code, nothing works.
Does anyone have an idea, how to update data in UDT?
    Please note: DTW Version 88.0.10
    We use UDT (no object)
We use .csv (same as import)

Issue solved. Update of UDT data works correctly with DTW version 2005.0.19 !!!
Older DTW-version works better than newer one (8.8).
    VERY annoying

    Hi,
We recently updraded from SBO 8.82 to SBO 9.0 PL 08 HF1
Before the upgrade we never had this issue, but now I get this error message while trying to update prices through DTW (version 88.1.4): Method '~' of object '~' failed65171

    ItemCode LineNum PriceList Price Currency AddPrice1 Currency1 AddPrice2 Currency2

    Itemcode is 135109-1

    Currency is SEK
I have done this several times before the updrage without any problems, but now I'm stuck.
Any ideas what we can try?

    Kjetil Sandvik

    Hi,
    Please check:
This error means that your Obscommon user is corrupt and you cannot connect to the SBO-Common database to download the OBServer.dll that is stored in the temporary directory.
For more information, see SAP Note 858475, 642564, or 614946

  • DTW - Trouble using ODBC and Configuration Files

    I am using SBO SP1 PL2 and DTW 2005.
I have been making use of saving the configuration for the import of an object and then using the command line to run it, as described in DTW help under "Schedule Run".
I typically use tab-delimited files saved from Excel and the above method works very well.
However, I would prefer to use ODBC directly from the template tables I have in a SQL database. It works perfectly using the GUI within DTW, and it lets me save the configuration file, but when I try to run DTW from the command line using ODBC, I get these error messages:
Can not connect to ODBC data source.
    Can not get SQL handler.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can use DTW from the command line while using ODBC sources?
    Thank you.

    I've got the same problem.
I solve it once by editing the xml file's <ExID> tag from <ExID></ExID> to <ExID />
So the problem resides at the XML syntax.
My problem is that I lost the XML file I used and now I can't make it work again.
Have anybody found the solution at this problem or is there an updated version of DTW?

  • Global  price update in existing open Sales Order

    Hi  Expert Team ,
    I have one scenario -
My customer will enter a sales order .
    For example :
Customer A buy X at 10 at 05/26/2009 and his delivery date is 05/30/2009
Management decide to do cost down by 15% of product A  from 05/30/2009.
    Business rule here is :
When customer sells at 05/30/2009 , price should reflect 15% inexisting order as well as new order .
For new order , we can specify the special and period volume discount , it will apply to new order .
In this scenario , how can we update the sales price of open sales order .
What are my options beside updating manually or DTW
    Thank you
    Bishal

If your Sales Orders are not locked by approval procedure, you could use DTW to update them.  Otherwise, you may have to cancel the old and create new orders.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Update LineNum in Sales Order line Details

    Dear All,
I have imported a sales order into a database from another database on SAP B1 2005A using DTW. The sales order has only one line item.
However, after importing, the linenum of the target table RDR1 is 0 while the source has it as 1. All the other fields have been updated with the correct data.
I am trying to update the same sales order's LineNum to 1 using DTW with the 'update' option ticked and the process runs successfully. However upon checking the database I find out that it has added another line item with the same details. Can a linenum field be changed/updated? The reason behind my need to change the linenum is because after trying to import a sales delivery linking it to that sales order it gives me an error :[DLN1.BaseEntry][Line: 1] 'No matching records found [ODBC:2028]'.
    Kind Regards,
    Asif

    Asif,
The number of lines in the Sales Order does not neccesarily co-relate to the line number.
    Just a simple example:
    Create a Sales Order....Add a line item..add Sales Order
Open the same sales order..delete the line item (delete row) and add the same item / another item.  Though the Sales Order seems to have only one item..now if you check RDR1 the linenum would be 1.
The architecture of SAP B1 is to generate a new linenum each time you add a row.
Thats probably why you are seeing the difference.
If you want to match the target linenum. simply delete the row and add the same line item and Update SO.
DTW will not update the linenum as it is system managed.
My recommendation for your situation is - if you do not have the same item more than once on a Sales Order - then it is better to get the BaseLine from the Database you imported the Sales Orders to.
Let me know if you need any further direction with this.

  • How to update Ref fields in JDT1 for Journal Entries update

    Hi Forum,
    I am this situation:
While Creating Journal Entries using DTW:
    ==================================
I can create Ref1 and Ref2 data at JE Header level using OJDT DTW template.
I can not update Ref1 and Ref2 (different from Ref1 and Ref2 data at header level) at line level using JDT1 template. No error in DTW, all successful, however, the Ref1 and Ref2 data at line level is copied from header level.
While updating using JDT1 DTW Template:
    ===================================
I thought may be DTW can update since the entries are present. It does not even do that. That is DTW does not update Ref1 and Ref2 data on JDT1 line level even with update DTW. Just to ensure I am using right template etc. I tried to update the due date and it seems to work.
Note: While entering manual Journal Entires directly on SAP B1, I could put different Ref1 and Ref2 at header and line levels.
    Thanks for you help.

  • Update special price field in OSPP

    Hia all,
When I change the gross price in the sales pricelist, all special prices per BP will be updated if the field Automatic update is marked and is linked to this pricelist.
However the field OSPP.Price, which should be the new special price per BP, is not updated.
SAP wrote a note, 849386, which says that this field is only updated as you use the update button in the form Special prices per BP.
But it's just a normal way to change the overall sales price per article in a price list (manually or by DTW or Excel sheet), which will then update all special prices per article per BP if the automatic update field is marked and linked to this pricelist?
We use a query which take out data from OSPP (.Price) to show the special price per BP, but it shows all old prices.
Does anybody know how I can update this field in OSPP by another way?
It's too much work to update all special prices per BP per article manually everytime a gross price change occurs.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Carl Verhagen

    Hi Ladislav,
Thanks for your help, but it doesn't solve my problem.
The note is talking about updating the special prices per BP and the rows behind.
SAP also says in note 849386 that the field will only be updated as the update button has been used but it is also be updated as the price will be imported by DTW.
We import our prices not by DTW, but by a specially made Excelsheet and it's working fine untill we noticed that the value in the field OSPP.Price is will not be updated.
If we use the DTW template special prices, all records will be imported (cardcode *1) and can be found in Hierarchies and Expansions, but can I also import/update prices (by DTW) which will be imported/updated and shown in the pricelist (above the menu hierarchies and expansions) as this price will also appear in the item master.
Is there a template for this? By the automatic update, the new prices will also then be updated in de special prices per BP.
    Regards,
    Carl

  • Character " in DTW

    Hi everybody,
    simple question:
I'm updating data with DTW and I've rejections regarding articles with character "
    e.g. QD 02 4" 1/4
Do you know how can I solve the problem?
    Thanks in advance

    Federico,
Make sure you save the Excel spread sheet in either a comma delimited or tab delimited format when you are done with your edits and prior to importing.  Also, you need to verify that you do not have any weird characters in your spreadsheet such as the data example that you gave or these will kick out.
