Update ProjectResource/EnterpriseResource custom fields

Does anyone know if it's possible to update an enterprise custom field for a ProjectResource or EnterpriseResource using CSOM or JSOM?

We are trying to update a custom field at Product Revenue level using the Opportunity Web Service. The webservice call is timing out as we have thousands of Opportunities.

If you are not very much obsessed with Webservices, the other workaround is the Data Loader Tool. It was discussed earlier in this forum.

Above mentioned that when the values are entered in the customised fields they are not updating in the to the table mara.
so, the program name and screen number which you are configuring in the spro, in that program name and in that screen number code it as below:
(you could find the field statements in that screen for the standard fields like FIELD MARA-MEINS.)
for example:
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
FIELD MARA-zzfieldname.

Oim reconciliation not update after adding custom fields

In Oracle Identity Manager 11.1.2 with connector
Connector for Oracle Internet Directory Release 11.1.1
I reconciliated users LDAP to oim, and after I add custom fields for target reconciliation, and I try to update these users with the new custom fields resend reconciliation event, this new custom fields displays in the event reconciliation page and do not in the user form for LDAP.
I already create the new form with the news custom fields associated with the application Instance.

Solution:
FVC (Form Version Control Utility) comes with OIM which updates the form which are associated with existing users.
Using the Form Version Control Utility - 11g Release 2 (11.1.2)

Unable to update MARA table custom field in Material master

Hi all,
I have added one custom field in MM01,Basic View 2.
For that i have apended that field in MARA table and created one subscreen for that.
This field is visible in MM02/MM01/MM03 in basic data view 2 .
The issue is that we are not able to save values in MARA table which we entered in this field.
I cheked earliar in SDN but couldn't get the proper solution.
i cheked the below available forum discussion link but couldn't get th proper solution.

Please make sure u implemented: methods PUT_DATA_TO_SCREEN and GET_DATA_FROM_SCREEN as they are required for data transport. These methods are called from within the program of the application at PBO or PAI .
See below example code:

Use of FM BAPI_EQUI_CHANGE to update equipement with customer fields

Hello all
I have extended the EQUI table with customer fields using customer include structure and append structure.
I want to populate these customer fields with BAPI BAPI_EQUI_CHANGE Or BAPI_EQUI_CREATE.
So I have extended the structure ITOB appending the same customer fields as in table EQUI.
I have enhanced the function MAPXI_BAPI_ITOB_TO_ITOB which map data from structure BAPI_ITOB to internal structure ITOB.
But the fields are not populated ?
Has someone already the BAPI in that way ?

Updation of Custom fields in MBEWH from MBEW

Hi ABAPpers,
Can anyone give me any clarity if I append same structure in both MBEW and MBEWH, then during the update will these custom fields also gets updated? Or do we have any other procedure to do this?

Hi,
The append field will be the ZFILEDS that you add. Those will not get updated automatically but proper enhancements has be written to pass values to that field. The include where you can start to have a look is LMBMMF20 (FORM MBEW_UPDATE)..

Hi
First you need to append a structure in EBAN table, The values you need to pass to the
BAPIPAREX - Ref. structure for BAPI parameter ExtensionIn/ExtensionOut
Structure will be the appen strucre created in EBAN.
You can pass the values of the 10 fileds to the VALUEPART1, VALUEPART2 fileds in the structure with 240 charcters each.

I'm afraid there's no way to update the Task Level Custom Fields using JSOM. I had the same requirement in the past, searched for a long time to a solution, without any result. Also other similar posts are not having a valid solution:

Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know JSOM has no methods to update task, assignment or resource custom fields.

There're project and its tasks. It's required to add some field and set it when new task is created: I created task

if still under pursuing solution then, Since you are saying you are creating task / list item programmatically, so for creating list item you would need to use either sharepoint object model or list item web service , and once you create

BAPI_SHIPMENT_CREATE - Additional Custom Fields

Hello BAPI Guru's,
I use the BAPI_SHIPMENT_CREATE to create Shipments. All normal requirements are working good. I need your expertise for the following situation:
- I have extended table VTTK with couple of fields to store information about (License plate, Driver information, Vessel Info, Seal No....)
- Using this BAPI when I create the shipment I would like to update the above fields/information also.
- By default this BAPI will not update these new custom fields as these new fields are not existing in the BAPI interface (structure BAPISHIPMENTHEADER).
Can you pls share your views/ideas on how to achieve something like this?

if iam checking in mm02/mm03 for matnr-10 model-yy it is displaying.in database it is updating correctly.
can u please tell me how can i write a code to select the zfield data for that particular material.

Custom fields not getting updated in Mass Maintenance-MM17

Hi,
I have created a custom field in MARC table and the data is getting updated to the MARC table through MM01/MM02 but it is not getting updated by MM17. I have checked the notes 44410, 576160, 414020 and 116311. I have done the following changes as per the sap notes.
1. Created a custom segment ZE1MARCM by copying the standard segment E1MARCM and added the custom field in that
    segment.
2. I have extended the IDOC 'MATMAS03' and added the custom segment ZE1MARCM to E1MARAM.
3. Created a new entry in we82 and provided the extension type 'ZMATMAS03' and release '701'.
4. Adjusted the partner profile in we20 for matmas with port and providing the extension idoc type.
5. Added the custom field in the table MASSFLDLST.
6. Implemented the code in BADI 'MG_MASS_NEWSEG' and exits 'EXIT_SAPLMV01_002' , 'EXIT_SAPLMV02_002' as per the
    sap notes.
The custom field is not getting updated through mass maintenance. Please let me know if i have missed anything?
