Update table after filling an adobe interactive form inside a workflow

Hi
I have the following workflow problem:
I made a webdynpro application that incudes an adobe interactive form. An user fill this form. After filling the form he will press the submit button. The data will be introduced in the custom table and a workflow will be started.
Inside the workflow, I attached the form filled by the user. After attaching it I introduce a user decision step in order to see the content of the pdf attachment, modify it and send again. So, the person that will execute the workitem has to open that pdf and fill some additional fields. The information should be updated in the table and then send to other persons. I don't know how to update the table with the new values that are inserted in the form in that decisional step and send the updated form to the other users.

Hi Iulia
You cannot do that through decision step with attachment. You have to do with task registation in t-code SWFVISU. so the work item will come to UWL once the approver clicks the work item it opens and entered his comments, You have to caputer the comments and pass these comments to the workflow container element from there you update to your custom table.

Yes you can generate adobe intetractive forms as ABAP report programme outputs. There ares some standards forms available. Please search by FP*.

Read values from Adobe Interactive Form inside the webdynpro

I have problems to read the values of the fields inside de adobe. I read an article on saptechincal that told:
You can see the Adobe form that we have designed, enter the data as shown below and press the submit button. (As I said earlier an activex control will be installed on to the client machine, you can see the activex control in the internet explore go to the menu: ToolsàInternet optionsàgo to the programs tab àPress button Manage add-ons.
You can see an activex control named u2018SAP ACFu2019, if you donu2019t have this control you will not see this page: Note you need to have adobe acrobat reader 7.1 installed, I have used version 9, the activex control was not working properly so down graded my adobe reader to 7.1)
This is true ??? I have the Acrobat reader 9.3 and i saw that also have the SAP ACF installed.
The value of the property displaytype on adobe interactive form on webdynpro is activeX or native.

I change the value of the attribute but again i can read anything from the adobe form. So let me explain what i'm doing.

Objective: I have to create one webdynpro with an adobe interactive form for create new clients on r/3 system.

1. I create de the view with 2 elements an interactive form and one submit button.

2. Create the context of the view with the following tree:

> context (node)

 > ADOBE_DATA (node)

 > Clients (from KNA1 table) (node)

 > KUNNR

 > LAND1

 > NAME1

 > ORTO1

 > TELF1

>PDF_SOURCE

3. Complementing the properties of the interactive form:
datasource = clients node of the context
displaytype = native
pdf_source = pdf_source attribute of the context
templatesource = name of the form

4. Create the form, and add the data source to the interface of the form

5. On the form bulider i add and subform on the hierarchy tab and the all the fields of the interface to the form and
automatically the value of the fields are binding.

6.Add a submit button from web dynpro native and add the event click to the button. Then i change the value of the layout type and save e activate the form and the interface

7. The next step is create an action for the button submit for the event "onSubmit". So i create the function and start coding this code:

DATA: adobe_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,

 client_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,

 client_element TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,

 client TYPE if_create_client=>element_clients.

*Get reference to the adobe_data node from the context

adobe_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_adobe_data ).

*Get reference to the clients node from the context

client_node = adobe_node->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_clients ).

*Get element node

client_element = client_node->get_element( ).

*Get the values from the form

client_element->get_static_attributes(

 IMPORTING

 static_attributes = client ).

8. Then for finalize i add the view to the window and crate a web dynpro application and put one break point on the submit function event.

9. Activate and test the application and when the program try to add a reference to the element node always returning a null reference and the application dumped.

So please help with this situation i can't understand what is the mistake.

PS: Now i have installed the acrobat reader 7.0.8

Table control in adobe interactive form ?

Can we make a table control i.e. something like the same functionality that of table control in an adobe interactive form?

it all depends on what you want to do.
In SFP, there is a table wizard you can use to create your basic table with headers/footers etc...
You can put buttons on your PDF with code behind them to ADD/DELETE rows dynamically.
for example:
data.Page2.parms.instanceManager.addInstance(1);
I have tables where a column would consist of input fields or radiobuttons or just about anything else you can imagine to put in a table.
But as Otto mentioned, you should elaborate more and tell us what you want to do with the table. If you're not afraid to jump into Formcalc/Javascript, you can do some quite complex activities in your form if you want to.

Calling BAPI from Adobe Interactive Form

Hi Guys,
I have a requirement from my client to work on interface using BAPI for creating Service notification. Idea is that users will fill an Adobe interactive form (AIF) on company INTRANET and as soon as user press a SUBMIT button on the adobe form, BAPI should be called to create a SERVICE NOTIFICATION (Tcode IW51). I have work with BAPIs and I know the BAPI name (BAPI_SERVNOT_CREATE) to create SERVICE NOTIFICATIONS, but not with this kind of interface. Please advice me how to go about it and if some one can share any documentations to accomplish this task.
Another developer is in charge of developing the AIF and I am responsible for ABAP side .

Kindly check the webDynpro ABAP section of Intercative form homepage. at - https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/adobe.
You can create a portal application and call your BAPI. Other options include - webDynpro Java, calling webservice (if the call can be unsecured). You will be able to call secure web services from adobe forms from future versions afaik.

Abap Webdynpro & Adobe Interactive Forms : Refresh Context

We created a Abap Webdynpro program to fill an Adobe interactive form. When we read the first time the data the form context is filled and displayed. When we read other data then the form is not refreshed. This is only the case when the form is enabled as interactive.
When we use 2 views then everyting is ok. But we want to place the form in an Embedded View, then we have the same problem. Is this a know problem ?

We faced a similar Issue. We could get past it by chaging the view property to "When Visible" for both the embedded view & Main view.
Try & letme know if it works. We are trying to solve some other issues aroind this right now. Only the checkboxes dont get populated the second time we go to the view having Adobe form. Rest all data on form is refreshed. But not the Check Boxes.

Calling a WD method from Adobe Interactive Form JavaScript

Hi all,
I would like to save the PDF file (into KM) defined by the binary Context Attribute "PdfSource", when I run a Adobe Interactive Form inside a WD application. And this must be done automaticaly at starting.
The origin of my problem is that "PdfSource" is not filled-in until the adobe form is completely loaded and ready.
So i was thinking to use the "form:ready" event of Adobe Inteactive Forms to call a WD method ir order to save the PDF file (into KM) but i do not find the way
Can anybody tell me if this is correct and how, or should I try another way?

Loadrunner / ecatt with adobe interactive forms

Has anyone tried either eCATT or loadrunner with an Adobe interactive form inside of a webdynpro app yet? We are getting ready to, but won't be ready for about 2 - 3 weeks. Any advice or comments would be appreciated.

yes, we've tested eCATT with interactive forms. It works so far, but the question is what is the goal of your test?
Using eCATT ADS, the application, and the business logic behind is tested. If that is your goal, using eCATT is an appropriate solution.
Regarding Loadrunner-Tests I'm not the expert. But within the solution an ActiveX does posts to the server using encoded URLs. So there are several problems:
- is loadrunner able to record those posts?
- is loadrunner able to modify URL parameters dependend on the current session?
- is loadrunner able to use the response of such a post and dynamically adapt a post parameter of the subsequent post?
So I think it is at least very difficult and complex to use loadrunner. I recommend eCATT as the solution for automated tests of InteractiveForms.

ABAP WD application - Dynamic filling adobe interactive form

I am developing a WD Application which has Adobe interactive form in which when user enters an input field 1 it should automatically populate respective values for input field 2 in the same form.I have this relation maintained in ztable.
How do we handle this?

Here is my req..
My WD application will have a parameter-Inputfield1 for entering job number
My interactive form will have
- Inputfield1 as header.
- A dynamic table with inputfield2 & inputfield3
Inputfields2 as item values - should be filled automatically after user input inputfield1 ,
inputfields3 will be manual entry from user
Finally i should take all these 3 values and submit it to SAP.I can have a SUBMIT button for this at the end of the form.

Im new in Webdynpro ABAP, my requirement is to fill drop down list in adobe interactive form. i created adobe form and its working fine.
I Created context like ROOT(cardinality 1:1)->DATANODE cardinality 0:n. This context is for drop down and in wddoinit i did like this.
IN WDDOINIT ,
DATA lo_nd_root TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
DATA lo_nd_datanode TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.

Drop down in dynamic table in the Adobe Interactive Form (Web dynpro ABAP)

I have scenario use drop down in dynamic table in the adobe interactive form (Using the button the dynamic table row will be increasing and decreasing).
Assume I Add five rows dynamically in the dynamic table. The Last column contains Drop down.
I have button in the adobe form.
Button Name = u201CSAVEu201D
Button type    = SAP Submit button (Native type u2013 I am Using ZCI).
While clicking save button, I need to store the dynamic table datau2019s to back end system. I can able to store the data to back end system. After form data getting saved those particular values need to display in the adobe form.
Here I am facing a problem.
I cannot able to view as a default value in the drop down, which I have selected some values after save operation I am not getting any values in the drop down as a default.
Example:
The dynamic table contains 5 rows (Each and every row Drop down contains one to ten values).
1)     I have selected second value in the Drop down (ROW1)
2)     I have selected fourth value in the Drop down (ROW2)
3)     I have selected fifth value in the Drop down (ROW3)
4)     I have selected seventh value in the Drop down (ROW4)
5)     I have selected third value in the Drop down (ROW5)
I press the save button that particular Drop down value gets saved in back end system and that particular values want display in the Drop down as a default value.
How to resolve this problem.

I have created the New node for dropdown. also i have one node already for table.
The new node i bind to dropdown, the table same for table.

With ECC 6.00 (SP10) , assuming that the Webdynpro and Adobe Interactive Forms has been correctly setup, can values on an Adobe Form be updated after retrieval from the back-end database?
Updating of UI elements NOT on the Adobe Form has always worked; but, there it is unclear if the problem to update values inside the Adobe Form has been resolved.
Can anyone address this issue with a detailed explanation or example code?

Hi, I'm afraid I think there is no place where you can "catch" click on button in interactive form in sapgui, but you can:
use http submit button and send data to your web service, which receive dataa and update your ztable,
or you can create webdynpro, where you can catch click on submit button a in this event you can update yout ztable (my previous post).

WEBDYNPRO ADOBE INTERACTIVE FORMS INTERNAL TABLE BINDING

Hello Firends,
I have created one table in the WebDynpro Program with Context NODE_RESULT having Cardinality 0...n in the View ADOBE_VIEW. In this view I have created the Interactive Form and specified the properties: data source as NODE_RESULT, Template Source as Z_XX_ADOBE_FORM.
Also I have made an supply function for the context NODE_RESULT as GET_RESULT.
In the Supply Function I have used the BAPI to fill the contents of Internal table (itab_data). And have binded the itab_data using node->bind_elements... (ALSO Tried node->bind_table...).
Also I have coded the HANDLE_IN method.
Here the point is that I can see the table in the interactive form layout and have successfuly binded all the elements and when I have tested the form, the Adobe form is showing the blank table. i.e. it is showing up only the design of table, not the internal table values what I have binded.
I have made every check like ADS is working fine as I can run the Interactive form through the ABAP program (i.e. through se38, where the form is allowing me to save the data in the PDF).
Have installed the ACF.
Also checked that the form is XML based schema and it Generated.
Here everything is fine but I am unable to bind the internal table from webdynpro to Adobe Interative form.

Sorry for replying late.. I have done debugging on the node and found values are being populated to the internal table which i have created, and also as you said i have dragged the node and found the table icon is appearing and in form object pallette of that table the poperty of binding is "....[*]" is also creating but the vvalues are not being reflected to the PDF output.
Also i have tried many approaches like first creating the form and then creating the webdynpro program and by linking the form to the wendunprro. But the result is same i.e. no values are being found in output.
But i have a doubt that what are the system requirements to get this binding done properly. i.e. I am using Netweaver 2004 with SPS release 7 and Adobe 8 and ACF is being installed in the system. And also I can see the values if I am using the structure but the problem is with table. And I can work with the ABAP ADOBE where if I am coding using se38 and executing the values are excellently displaying in the PDF output(Similar case with interactive forms) Also ADS is properly configured.
Is it compulsary to have SPS GREATER than 8 for NETWEAVER 2004.
