Update the "remark" field in general data of a BP (using IDOC in LSMW)

Hi,
I have to create and udpate BP with comments in the general data. I have no problem to manage this field in creation mode. I only use the segment "E101BAPIAD_REM" from the "CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M02" Idoc basic type. I fill the following fields: "LANGU, LANGU_ISO, ADR_NOTES".
However in update mode I don't success to update the value for the field "REMARK". I use the second segment "E101BAPIAD_REX" and i fill only field "ADR_NOTES" with value "X" and "UPDATEFLAG" with value "U".
I tried several value and several cases but i failed each time. If anybody has already managed this data with IDOC I would be very interesting...

thank you for your answer but you speak about the field "AddressGUID" of E101BUS_EI_ADDRESSREMARK but I haven't this field at this level. This field is linked to the segment "E101BUS_EI_BUPA_ADDRESS_KEY", isnt'it ?
Effectively i have certainly a problem with the Address GUID. I have to test it because it doesn't work with only UPDATEFLAG at 'X' and CURRENT_TASK too.

i tried to update the Customer field Using Bapi_PO_change.I passed the PO Order no,POADDRDELIVERY data with Item no,Adrees no,Customer no.But i am getting no data changed message from return table.I attached the screen shots.So please suggest me the helpful information for resoving this issue.

How to update ADRT-REMARK field (by which tcode)?

Hi,
ADRT-REMARK basically stores the notes which you enter against any communication number such as Telephone Number, Fax number etc for any business partner.
Say for example if you want to address details of a customer via XD01 or XD02; then in the communication tab enter the telephone number or fax number.
Click the button to add more details or more telephone numbers.
Over there you will find a field called as Comments.
This field is ADRT-REMARK.
You do not have a single transaction to maintain this field.
It depends upon the business partner for whom you want to add the details.
For a customer it is XD01 or XD02
For a vendor it is XK01 or XK02.
For a business partner it is BP.
For a user it is SU01D.

My requirement is simple. But I do not have much knowledge on BAPI. I have got some information that we can extend th BAPI and update the Z fields in material master. I have added the z fields in MARA. So when I call the bapi z fields has to get update.
Which BAPI can i use? I have got one BAPI - BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA. plz suggest me to do it.
1. how do i enhance the BAPI or extend th BAPI.
2. Is ther any approch to do it.

Hi,
Append the z fields to BAPI_TE_MARA and BAPI_TE_MARAX structures using append structures.
Populate two structures for the fields in BAPI_TE_MARA and BAPI_TE_MARAX.
To BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA, under EXTENSIONIN parameters, pass structure name as BAPI_TE_MARA and Value Part1, 2, 3, 4 with the filled structure info.
Similarly append X structure as well.

Populated the new field with historic data

HI,
I have a data for 2 years now I am enhancing the data source how can I populated the new field with historic data.Is it by
1)deleting all the data in BW side and the doing an init then setting up a regular delta
2)running a repair full request with selection condition.
or is there any other option available? which is the best scenario to load these historic data?

I think your datasource is already in production, and you want to data only from today onwards for enhanced fields, i.e. historical data is not required for enhanced fields..
1.Fix ECC down time for 20 to 30 munities
2. Keep all objects on Qty system in ECC and BW.
3.Run Delta laods in BW for 2 to 3 times.So with this step you can clear SMQ1 and RSA7. Check the entries in RSA7, if it is ZERO then it is fine.
4. Move DS from ECC Qty to ECC PROD .
5. Replicate in BW.
6. Move all BW objects from BW Qty to BW Prod.
7. Delete Init load in InfoPackage level (Not in ODS/CUbe).
8.Load Init without DataTransfer.
9.Then Run Delta.
10. Next day on wards deltas will come as usual.
If you need Historical data also.
1.Delete data in Cube.
2.Fix Down Time and load Init then Delta.

The backup file contains unrecognized data and cannot be used

I am trying to restore files from an NT back up on a SBS 2003. The backup was taken on this machine and trying to restore to the same. I get this error: The backup file contains unrecognized data and cannot be used.
I tried copying it to a different machine with no luck. Any suggestions?

Since the backup file cannot be restored on a different machine, the backup file could be corrupt. You need to use some third party recovery utilities to restore the backup file.

How to resolve the issue of route while creating a sales order using IDOC

When I am creating a sales order mannualy the the route is correct and matching also but while using IDOC try to create a sales order then the route is showing wrong.
I tried to debug the program SAPMV45A but I am not getting anything.
Could any body help me on this.

Hi Bansidhar,
             You need to debug the Function Module thats assigned to your Process code.
             In standard config for Sales Order, Process Code ORDE is assigned to FM IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS. And this FM uses Call Transaction Method to create Sales Orders. SO you can debug this FM.
           Hope this helps you solving the problem.

"/SCMTMS/TRQ~ROOT" is for sales order header and "/SCMTMS/TRQ~ITEM" is for details.
I assume you need to
enhance the structures for these nodes to hold your add. fields;
and do the same for the input parameter of service TransportationRequestRequest_In (which is used to create OTR) from PI side;
Pass the add. fields during service call (impelment in ERP system);
Map the fields from service paremeter to node attribute (implement in TM system, BAdI /SCMTMS/TRQ_SE_TPNRQ_REQ~CHANGE_MODIFICATION create modification table for the input parameter).
I cannot find source code for all of that; hope it helps.

I need to add a custom field in the General data section of the travel request screen.The requirement is such that if user creates an expense report corresponding to that travel request then the same field with the value should appear.Can anyone brief on how to achieve this.
Can the same field be added to each line item (expense types) of the expense report ?
I am wondering if its possible since the tables for line items and header data are different.

DateFormat for updating the metadata field through RIDC

Could you please tell me what will be the valid date time format for updating metadata field value through RIDC.?
I am using ADF technology to connect with webcenter UCM and using all services to check-in,update, search generic screens using UCM services. I am able to update other text type metadata field through ADF screen BUT when i update date field then i am getting date parsing error..
xSubmitDate DATE type in UCM.
xSubmitDate value = 05/08/2013 05:36 PM
oracle.stellent.ridc.protocol.ServiceException: Unable to update the content item information for '0804'. The field 'xSubmitDate' does not contain a valid date. Unable to parse date '05/08/2013 05:36 PM'.
