Updating an attribute of the table

Hi.,
I am using jdev11.1.5
My scenario is:
=>i had created a adf table [hd:table name
  => If the user selects the first row and after clicking the post button an attribute in [ln] table should get updated
can anyone pls tell me how to acheive this concepts

sry .., i think i am not clear with my concept
I had designed a af:Table using the table name HD
If the user clicks any of the row and after clicking my post button a particular field must be updated at back end

    Hi,
    You can do this using formatted searches.  Please try the following:
    1.  Create a UDF on the 'Marketing Document - Title' called 'VATCODE'
    2.  Add a FS to the UDF with the following query
    SELECT T0.\[Code\] FROM OVTG T0
    3.  Add the formatted search to the Tax Code field in the lines with the following query
    SELECT $\[ORDR.U_VATCODE\]
    The key thing is when setting up the FS at line level you need to set it so that it Auto Refreshes 'When Field Changes' and not 'When Exiting Altered Column'.  The column will be the VATCODE UDF you set up earlier.
    Now if you add a few lines to your order and then select the VAT Code in your UDF by pressing Shift F2 then it will copy down to all the lines.  The only issue is that it will not automatically copy down to any lines added after you have selected the VATCODE UDF.

    I am new to adf. I am trying to update a field in the table which is parent in adf tree

  • Regd bulk update of values in the table..

    HI ,
    I have a search page.. Have used autocustomization to create it ..This page will be used to query data from a table and then we also need to update couple of results table fields and save them.
    THere is a results region . i have included the multiselect option of table which has got me a select column as the first column in the table. Also have included a tableaction and an upate button with that ..
    Next to the table actions , Update button , I need to have a field , where in i can enter value and it shud update the updatable fields of rows in the table as bulk .. with the same value in the field next to update..
    SOme what like batch update for the table with same values..
    Could you please tell me hw do we do this ?

  • Update EO attributes when the corresponding VO atttibutes are calculated

    Hi All,
    An existing VO on an existing PLSQL EO when opened in Editor displays the EO table attribute fields (attribute1 - 15) as calculated. The corresponding ViewAttribute(s) in VO XML definition do not refer to the EO Attributes.
    We need to pass table attribute fields to the PLSQL API (setting the EO attributes will suffice since EO attributes are input to PLSQL API) so that they also get updated in the DB call. Setting the VO attributes does not help (probably because no mapping between VO and EO attributes). If we set these table attributes directly in the DB (via a seperate DB call), the EO PLSQL API execution resets these attributes to the old values.
    Please let me know if a solution exists.

    1) In the returnListener backing method I added your EL helper to set the binding directly:

    2) I've seen the ADF SRDemo approach and not a big fan as the LOV screen and pageDef through the inclusion of the calling page's iterator is not generic. This implies a LOV screen cannot be re-used across several locations in your app as it needs the hardcoded iterator from the previous screen.
    Ideally the launchListener on the calling page could pass in the EL binding string to update, and the closeDialog call on the LOV could update this setting. The other fk fields would then automagically be updated in the calling screen. I tried getting your EL helper routine to set the binding directly via EL.set("#{data.editEventBookingsPageDef.EventNo.inputValue", value); in the closeDialog routine, but no luck.
    Any suggestions?

  • How do I use the value of a table attribute outside the table?

    I have two tables that are master detail. But it might not be so obvious to the user before he knows how the page works that they are master detail. The tables are in separate showDetailItems in a panelAccordion and what I was thinking of was to show the value of one coloum in the selected row in the master in the text in the showdetail item that contains the detail table. But I can´t find the right expression to put into the accordion. How should the expression look like to get the value of an attribute in a table for use outside the table?

    Thanks for the suggestion but it doesn´t work. The first problem is that the page turns blank when I use that expression for the text in the showDetailItem and the second problem is that I don´t seem to be able to use the master table as a partial trigger. When I click edit in the partial trigger property I can´t shuttle the master table over to be a partial trigger to the showDetailItem even if the table has an id.

    Well I figured out how to come half way. I did the following things:
    1) Created an attribute value binding to the attribute I wanted to be shown in the showDetailItem
    2) Set the text property in the showDetailItem to this attribute value like this #{binding.attributeValue}
    To solve the problem I had with the partial triggers I continued like this
    3) Gave other components on the path from the showDetailItem to the master table id´s
    4) Clicked edit on the partial trigger property on the showDetailItem and was now able to shuttle the master table over to be a partial trigger.
    But I now got an other problem which looks like a bug. At first when I enter the page it looks fine but when I change focus in the master table to another row part of the showDetailItem containing the detail table disapears. The detail table still remains and works as it should but the part containing the text I tried to set above disapears and the text in the showDetailItem containing the master gets replaced by the text that was supposed to be in the showDetailItem containing the detail table. Any suggestions how to correct this are very welcome.

  • Not able to change the name of the attribute of the Table operator.

    We are trying to create OMB scripts to automate certain tasks. As a part of this, there is a requirement to change the attribute name of table operators (which by default gets the name of the column). It is possible to change the attribute name from the GUI. But I was not able to do the same using OMB Scripting. Here is the script I used.
    OMBALTER MAPPING 'TEST' \
    MODIFY ATTRIBUTE 'GEOGRAPHY_ID' OF GROUP 'INOUTGRP1' OF OPERATOR 'TEST' \
    SET PROPERTIES(BUSINESS_NAME,PRECISION,DESCRIPTION) \
    VALUES('MEMBER_ID',2,'MEMBER')
    This script was to change the name of the attribute - GEOGRAPHY_ID of the table operator TEST.
    From what I can make out from the Scripting reference, changing BUSINESS_NAME of the attribute should do the trick but it is not happening. The syntax looks correct as the precision of the column changes.
    Am I missing something? Or is it a limitation or a bug?
    I use OWB client 10.2.0.1.25 and OWB repository 10.2.0.1.0.

    To extend  BAPI_PO_CHANGE  for EKPO-ABSKZ field , we have to add field in the structure BAPI_TE_MEPOITEM to pass it to  EXTENSIONIN. As ABSKZ field already availble in the EKPO it is not allowed to add ABSKZ in the structure BAPI_TE_MEPOITEM. it is throwing below error message.
    Field ABSKZ in table EKPO is specified twice. Please check
    Since it is not Z field and also not availble in the structure BAPIMEPOITEM  not sure how to update ABSKZ field in the EKPO table.

  • How to Update Extended Attributes For the Users in SRM Organization?

    I am using 'BBP_UPDATE_ATTRIBUTES' function module to load the Default Attributes for the users in a custom program. I am able to update many attributes like company code, Movement type, catalog id, material usage, shop on behalf of and address ship to. But I am having problem updating extended attributes Plants(Attribute ID 'WRK') and Storage Locations (Attribute ID 'LAG').
    Storage location and Plants has many values. Can anyone have experienced this problem before. I appreciate any help I get. I debugged enough and not able to find any other function module to do this.

    OpenBase powers Apple's online store, so I wouldn't think that's the problem. I'm placing all the blame on the JDBC driver.
    Funnily, I started updating ResultSets that way because executing UPDATE statements directly gave me this problem before. Doing it this way made the problem go away, until now.
    I tried replacing the INSERT with two fields with one with all the fields, and now it throws a SQL error that is most definitely bogus:
    java.sql.SQLException: SQL ERROR - [position 569, near '' in ', 0, 0, 0, ''] insert error: comma expected but not found in data.

    no, you cannot edit a library item using actionscript.
    you could create a class that loads an image thereby allowing you to change the appearance of all class instances simply by changing the image loaded.  that would allow you to change images dynamically.  but all class instances created before changing the image would remain unchanged after the image change.
    even that issue could be resolved by storing all your class instances in an array, for example, and iterating through the array whenever previously created instances needed an image change.

  • AVG_ROW_LEN not update , even I analyze the table in compute statistics

    I execute DBMS_STATS.GATHER_SCHEMA_STATS on my old table , but the statistics doesn't update the row length.
    After that , I give up the gather_schema_stats stored proc and use sql statement -> ANALYZE TABLE COMPUTE STATISTICS.
    The statistics still is stale .
    Is there anything I have missed ?

  • UpdateRow of EO is not calling while updating VO Attribute fields of table

    I have one seeded VO and EO which is attached with one seeded Region. When i change any display field in region updateRow of EO calls and update row in database.
    I have added one messageTextInout through personalization and used one attribute field as a View Attribute and View Instance Same as above.
    But when i apply it does not call updateRow and does not update my data in table.
    updateRow is having one API call which update data. I have extended this EO to call my API to store this attribute in table through extended updateRow Method.

    BEGIN
      FOR i IN 1..APEX_APPLICATION.G_F03.COUNT LOOP
        UPDATE xx_test
        SET checkbox = 'Y'
        WHERE rec_no = APEX_APPLICATION.G_F03(i);
      END LOOP;
    END;Code loops all checked checkbox. You do not need commit on page process.
