Updating DB link in the package/view programatically.
Guys,
I have to refresh my prod database to DEV , which I am doing with RMAN duplicate command, there are few packages and views which refers database links, the database links in dev is different than prod,so after refreshing DEV from prod, I need to dynamically change the database link in the package and views pointing to prod to DEV and re-compile the object.so that after refresh all objects in the DEV using database link are pointing to DEV Database link.
The prod db link name is SAMP.PROD.ORAP05
DEV DB link is SAMD.DEV.ORAD01
I guess I will have to use REGEXP_REPLACE but not sure how exactly.

Thanks for your helpIf you don't want a :hover state to show in the phone css of a fluid grid layout, you would remove it from the global settings and only include it in the tablet and desktop media queries.

How to create a Tab Link in the existing view
Hello Experts,
My requirement is to make one view as Tab Link.
You must have seen in many existing IC Web screens, there are multiple tabs in the view area and you can toggle between the views by clicking the tab links.
As per my requirement, in the component ICCMP_BT_INR, in one of the views i need to create a tab link for the view Questionnaire which is part of different component ICCMP_SURVEY
Could you please guide me here ?

I quite certain that you can do this but it is lot of work. You need to create navigations links in run time repository, create plugs, create viewset with views. And then mostly important you need to call appropriate plugs, navigations. I am afraid I can not explain every thing step by step but definitely it requires lot of details and work.
However if you can see some existing examples then you will get an idea. One good example I have worked on is IUICMIO_MAIN and IUICMIO_METER. In this when MIO_ACCOUNT is called in MAIN, it will call two tabs from IUICMIO_METER dynamically.

I added the columns, like the article said, and then completed the section "Modification of the discussion board views". I skipped the workflow stuff because while I think it would be useful I wanted to make sure I could get
the actual customization of the discussion board to work first.
My Problem (Just to preface - I followed the above instructions, including disabling the Minimal Download Strategy):
When I clicked into my discussion board list, I was able to get it to look and function as described for both the subject and flat views. However, when I click on the Subject, from the Discussion Board Web Part on my Home Page, it does not redirect into the
Discussion Board List Flat View. Instead, it tries to open the root folder from the Home Page while still using the subject view. The outcome being an empty discussion board on the Home Page.
So I decided to create a whole new discussion board to see if that one would work, when I inserted a new Discussion Board Web Part into the Home Page, newly created from the app menu, it used the same custom JS file(plumTickets), even though I never linked
the discussion board to the JS file. Of course when I went into the newly created Discussion Board list it opened as it does OOTB.
I am so close it having this work like I have been envisioning. I just need users to be able to click on a discussion subject from the Home Page and be redirected to the list view of the parent folder (I think that is the correct terminology,
but it may not be) so they would be able to see any replies and be able to reply. Please Help Me!!!
I truly appreciate any help you are able to provide, thank you!I figured it out. I was using ?FilterField1=fieldname&FilterValue1=value on the URL to the page to pick out one project number. The web part I was trying to add was for a list that did not have that particular fieldname. I didn't realize that would matter
since I was using the Connections -> Get Filter Values From to get my filter values from the main web part, which does have that fieldname.
I added a field with that fieldname to the other list and set a workflow to copy the lookup value of the project number lookup field into the new field. Now all is working fine. Sorry for the wild geese in my original question. -

I wanted to perform a system update today but what I encountered is that one of the packages wants specifically a java-runtime-openjdk instead of java-runtime.
I wonder what package and why. I don't want to install openjdk since I use an Oracle JDK.
How do I find out what package wants openjdk?

It's probably due to it hadn't updated for a while so I found it out only now.
I've had openjdk before and it probably installed icedtea-web as a dependency.
Some time ago I forced-removed openjdk and installed Oracle JDK from AUR instead assuming that all the packages that required java-runtime won't get their dependencies twisted.
I did not know that there is a java-runtime-openjdk dependency as well.
Now it makes sense.

Terrible..Links appear on the Design View
Dear webmates: I have updated my DW with some new extensions,
but .. oh surprise !! when I open my DW with a new projetc that
contains links, these links also appear in the Design View and
don't let me, for example justify Centered the whole page... Beside
it, it is unconfortable to have such links on the Design View...
they never appeared before... Please help me.. My nose say that it
is something up to the setup.. but don't know where exactly it is
supposed to be fixed,.... Appreciate your answers,You can try this simple fix -
Quit DW.
Find this folder -
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
8\Configuration
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options to unhide them)
and delete it.

Order list not linking through to detail view
Hi all, I'm creating an order list in a secure zone, each order needs to link to the invoice of that order (the detail view). I have read:

Need to duplicate the package through code
I am about to update the package body. I don't have direct access to the database. However, there will be a dba that will be running scripts for us. I can't be sure that the script in Production is the same as the script that I am sending. Towards the idea of disaster recovery, I'd like to duplicate the script and rename it 'script_name_BAK'.
I know that I can do this by copying the script and renaming it. Since I don't have that access, can I send over a script that will do as I need?
Also, when I query the script, it cuts off so-many characters to the right (maybe 80). I'm hoping that making a copy of the script doesn't have the same deficiency. Will it?

danielHere's a very basic, but working, approach to dealing with source code versioning of packages.
Suffix a basic version number to the package name. So if your package is called MonthEndInvoicing, then version 1.00 of the package will be called MonthEndInvoicing_v100.
A synonym called MonthEndInvoicing provides the resolution scope - and results in code using this synonym to call v1.00 of the package.
A new update is made to the package and the new package is called MonthEndInvoicing_v110. This can be build (installed/created) while v1.00 of the package is in use (and shared locked).
To enable the v1.10 as the version to use, the synonym MonthEndInvoicing simply needs to be recreated to point to the new package.
To rollback the v1.10 upgrade, the synonym MonthEndInvoicing simply needs to point again to the previous version's package.
The advantages of the simplistic approach are that you do not overwrite the existing package version, you do not need an exclusive package lock to replace the existing package version, and that you can rollback to the previous package version easily.
In 11g, there is a new feature called edition based redefinition - that addresses this issue in a significantly more comprehensive manner. (it also addresses changes to tables and so on at the same time)
IMO, the above approach should be a serious consideration in the type of environment you are finding yourself in, and facing the risks of not exactly knowing what version of code is in production and what version of code is being used. -
Updating my links in a spry menubar
I just made my first spry menu bar and I'm wondering how to
update my links. If I update a link in the spry property inspector
on one page, it only changes the html on that page doesn't seem to
want to update the spry menu on subsequent pages. How can I

spry menubars be created as a Library item, then when I make a

Indesign Crashing everytime I try to update my photos in the links panel
I recently switched over from InDesign CC to CC(2014)
By using CC (2014) I packaged my folder. Using the links folder after packaging it, I reworked the pictures within that folder, making i 300dpi and converting it to CMYK. This caused some photos to become very large. I use a IMac 27 inch 3.2 Ghz Computer. Canno think that the size should be a problem. ?
When opening the packaged inDesign file to update the pictures the file crashes every time. Sometimes I manage to update a view of them but as soon as it gets to the last photo it crashes.Sounds like one or more of the links might be damaged. Try doing the updates after the file is open (move or rename the links folder if necessary), one at a time.

When I try to update itunes, I get the following: The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package iTunes64.msi in the box below.
This leads me to another dialog box that says: The file .......is not a valid installation package for the product iTunes. Try to find the installation package iTunes64.msi in a folder from which you can install iTunes.
That doesn't work either. What to do?
DeanDownload the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
