Updating existing BP records using ELM

Hi experts,
We are using ELM for updating the existing BP records with marketing attributes.
We have created mapping format and maintained external list.
But not able to update the BP records.
We are using CSV format as below for mapping format
BP Number;FirstName;LastName;score1;score2
score1 and score2 are marketing attributes.
We could see some of the BP records in Data after Mapping tab of the external list but not all the records.
No BP record is updated.
Is there any difference in procedure creating new BPs and Updating the exsting BPs using ELM ?
Can any body explain in detail how to achieve the above.

Uhh... JTable is a VIEW of the underlying data - you will need to implement action listeners to process these events.
The best place to do this would be in your TableModel.......

You should update your DOM document to represent the changes that you want made.
Then, using the Transformation API you simply transform your document onto a stream representing your file. Something like this:
Transformer transformer = TransformerFactory.newInstance().newTransformer();
transformer.setOutputProperty(OutputKeys.INDENT, "yes");
// TODO - set indentation amount!
Source source = new DOMSource(dom);
Result result = new StreamResult(file);

How to Access and Update Existing DW site using DW 5.5 on new laptop?

We already use InDesign and have recently upgraded to 5.5. At the same time my partner bought a new laptop and decided to upgrade his version of DW. This was an early version, with no upgrade path, so he bit the bullet and bought DW 5.5 No problems installing it on his new laptop. His site is extensive but very basic - no addons. He has a good basic grasp of html.
What he would now like to do, is to download the remote site onto his laptop from its host and in future update it from his laptop.(He travels a lot.) As I said it is an early version of DW, predates CS versions but is just basic html. Is there a generally accepted way of doing this? If so is it in the tutorials etc? He can't find it in theHelp for 5.5?
Just to add, the new laptop would be the only location on which the website wouldbe stored. This is so he can update it from the road and keep to a single version to update.

If you could bear with me a bit longer. My partner has an old version of DW and so some of the interfaces have changed.
Am I correct, he must open the local site on his old pc, using the orignal software on there, and then using Sites/Manage Site options export it in .ste format? (I am assuming his orignal DW version has these options.) Does he create the new export .ste version with the same name?
At this stage he should then have a .ste version of his site on his old computer. You say he should then" send" this file to the new laptop. Do you meant copy it onto a memory stick and import it to the new laptop as though it were a new file? Then go to the remote server to access the file there and update it?
One last question, my partner cannot find the command to access his remote site, in DW CS 5.5 - He says it is not where it is on his version. Where is the remote site access command in DW CS 5.5 please?

Updating a database record

I am trying to update a database record using the following :-
update adv_order_progress set adv_action_out = to_char(sysdate, 'DD-MM-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') where adv_order_progress.adv_order_id = :adv_order.adv_order_id and adv_order_progress.adv_ord_number = :adv_order.adv_ord_number;
at trigger WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED but it doesn't update any at all. When I do the same from ISQL*plus it worked fine !!.

did you only have ISQL for testing it?
Can you debug the form and look, if someone happens - exceptions, ... ?
after the update you can use
message (SQL%ROWCOUNT); pause ;
to look, how many records were updated

Create Purchase info record using LSMW idoc method

Hello Friends,
I am trying to update Purchase Info records using LSMW Standard program RM06IBI0.
But it is not updating the condition price details and scale Quantity.
For that the form suggessted LSMW IDOC method. with : Message Type         COND_A / COND_A02.
But i dont know is the info record created earlier to this step or else we can create both using this method
at a time ? Does anybody please suggest.
( Actually Purchase Info record created using transaction ME11 ).

you first create the info record and subsequently you load the conditions.
become familiar with the condition tables and its key first. Check How table A017 and A018 are maintained.
Intresting is the field VAKEY which is actually the link to your info record.
This is a combination of vendor, material, purchasing org, plant , and info record indicator.

How to only update existing records when loading master data ?

Hello experts, I need your lights one more time.
Here is my need :
I have created an infoobject (IO) which is a very simple version of 0material, let's call it Znewmat --> Znewmat has material type and trademark as attributes, those two fields are available in 2 different datasources :
- 0MATERIAL_ATTR for material type (field MTART)
- 0MAT_SALES_ATTR for trademark (field MVGR2)
When loading my new IO from 0MATERIAL_ATTR I use a filter (at DTP level) to get only a few material types (I get something like 1000 records),
here is my issue : when I load from 0MAT_SALES_ATTR the field "material type" is not available to keep the same filter as for 0MATERIAL_ATTR and existing records are updated with the trademark, but I also get 5000 records I don't need, and my master data is "polluated" with useless lines.
*and my question : is there a way while performing the second loading to ONLY UPDATE EXISTING RECORDS AND NOT ADD ANY
NEW RECORDS ? (i didn't find anything in main options of my DTP)*
(I'd like to avoid the solution to update the 0MAT_SALES_ATTR datasource to add the missing field)

in the start routine of transformation from 0MAT_SALES_ATTR to znewmat do the following:
select materials from /BIC/PZNEWMAT into i_mat
for all entries in source_package where material eq source_package-material.
loop at source_package.
p_ind = sy-tabix.
read table i_mat with key material = source_package-material.
if sy-subrc ne 0.
delete i_mat index p_ind.
endif.
this way you'll only update records that have previously been loaded by 0MATERIAL_ATTR DS
loading sequence:
first load ZNEWMAT from 0MATERIAL_ATTR. then activate ZNEWMAT. then load 0MAT_SALES_ATTR to ZNEWMAT.

Your SQL isn't bad, although you're including loads of tables you don't need to so it's probably not as fast as it could be. I'm not sure you know what element entry to update so let's look at an example:

So your question to the forum is which one do I update. Well, that depends which one you want to update. If you want to update the 1st Jan 2009 to 31st Jan 2011 you'd pass element_entry_id => 123, ovn => 2, effective_date => to_date('1-Jan-2009', 'DD-MON-YYYY') and datetrack_mode => 'CORRECTION'.
If you wanted to update the $700 row you'd pass OVN 5 and an effective date of 26th June 2011. And so-on.
Now in your SQL you're filtering based on sysdate, which means you'd be updating the $500 row (ovn=1). Is that what you want?
I have simplified your SQL as follows:

If multiple entries are allowed, this SQL could return more than one row so just watch out for that. If you don't want the row as of sysdate change the two sysdate joins accordingly.

You have a couple of options for updating or deleting using a Filter.
For deleting you can use an Entry Processor and the cache invokeAll method. Using "out of the box" Coherence you can use the ConditionalRemove entry processor. I'm a Java person so the C++ below might not be exactly right but you should get the idea.

C# Example: Update existing form using XML

I am searching for an C# example to manipulate existing forms using XML. The result I want to achieve is to add a button on the Item form (10003).

It must be possible. Look for a discussing about this topic at Re: Update a system form with XML: empty screen when this is a target docum for example.
The main steps are:
1. Get XML system form
2. Replace UID
3. Update the system form using XML
4. Load 'new' form.
The problem is that I don't have a good example how to 'Get' and 'Load' the XML using C# in Visual Studio 2005. It is a little bit frustrating, because I can't get the whole picture...
Do you still think it is better to load a new form instead of changing the original?

TS4545 Garageband on ipad not recording using audiobus or external apps after updating my device on ios7.

Guys do you know why garageband is not recording using other apps in audiobus?

Unfortunately, it seems to be the case that Garageband is no longer compatible with Audiobus once you moved on to IOS7 . You can load it in as an output , the control bar shows and it looks fine but it does not work. I hope Apple sorts it out quickly . You can have a look at the Audiobus forum where there is a discussion on the subject.
