Upgraded, but now not sure if I lost anything. How can I check?

This might seem a bit stupid, but the thing is I hadn't heard about this problems with the upgrade to iPhoto'11 until today. I installed it a couple of days ago with no apparent problem.
But now I'm reading that I might have lost some photos or videos along the way. I have a 10000 photos library and it is not easy to check.
So here's the question:
— Is there anyway I can check if anything went wrong? I thought I might be able to compare the photo count between the current folder and the iPhoto 09 TM backup, but I'm not sure how to do that, though.
Should I repair iPhoto permissions anyway? (This is a single user computer, by the way, and from what I read, that might be the reason for not having those upgrade problems.)

Even a four-year-old MacBook should have come with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Leopard can run the latest version of iTunes; it will download and install pretty much automatically if you run Software Update.
You might first have to be sure that you are running the latest version of Leopard, which is 10.5.8. This, too, will download and install for you if you run Software Update. Just keep running Software Update until there is nothing left to download and install (you might have to run it more than once because some updates require previous updates to be installed first).
If you have a version of Mac OS X earlier than 10.5, then you can't run the latest version of iTunes. You will need to buy a more recent version of Mac OS X. You must be running at least 10.4 Tiger, and you can upgrade directly to Snow Leopard from Tiger. Apple still sells Snow Leopard for about $30 and you might find it slightly less at a retailer or on eBay. After upgrading to Snow Leopard, you will be able to upgrade to Lion using the Mac App Store for another $30 or so if your MacBook meets the minimum system requirements. -

to reïnstall Mavericks on your 13-inch Mid 2012 MacBook Pro, you can try booting into Recovery mode by holding down ⌘R as your MacBook Pro starts up. Eventually it will show an OS X Utilities menu on the desktop; select Reïnstall OS X from that menu, and follow the instructions which it provides to reïnstall it onto its internal disk. -

You has a other Adobe ID in Adobe Digital Edition by the First open of the eBook....or you have open the eBook with empty authorization. When has used a other adobe id should change the adobe id, if not the eBook are looked with the empty authorization. In this case need a new Download of the eBook of his reseller.

My HD TV has two HDMI inputs which are being used by a home theater system and my RCN cable box. i want to be able to use my appleTV as well as those but do not have another HDMI input. How can i connect it so that i can use any 1 of the 3 at any time?
Get an HDMI switcher. Plug in the ATV directly to the TV and then use the switcher on the other input.

If placed on Apple's online store, you can change/modify your order up to the point where your order is labeled "Preparing for Shipment". Just login to the store, bring up your order & modify there.

How can I stop Firefox from automatically upgrading? My on-line college is not compatible with the upgraded version. I have to keep uninstalling the new one and reinstalling the old one.
It's not a good idea to allow websites to redirect to another site until you know for sure the original site is trustworthy.
But if you still want to do it (again not a good idea).
Tools>Options>Advanced>General - In Accessibility, uncheck "warn me when web sites try to redirect..." option. -

I need to get my zotero back. It has all my sources for my master's thesis which is due in two to three weeks. www.zotero.com is no help. The button for it no longer shows in the bottom of the screen when I open up Firefox. The automatic Firefox upgrade seems to have destroyed my zotero files with all of my bibliographic entries. I need to get this back ASAP! I really do not want to have to take the time to redo the entire thing. www.zotero.com is no help. I sign in and my library has nothing in it. They are no help as they just tell me to down load it again.

How can I merge two Iphoto Libraries?
If you have Aperture 3.3 or later and iPhoto 9.3 or later you can merge libraries with Aperture.
Otherwise the only way to merge Libraries is with the paid ($20) version of iPhoto Library Manager
