Upgrading our WLC2100 series

We have a WLC 2100 series controller running on our LAN, its started having alot of problems and needs rebooting every 30 mins before anyone can connect.
We've just noticed the software its running is - 4.0.217.0, to upgrade we need to incrementaly go to version 4.2.176.0 although this doesnt appear to be available for download anymore.
Can we jump straight to version 5.x??

Every 30 mins the WLC would disapear of the LAN and only a reboot would bring it back.
The Tech Support - "Crash report" has this in it repeatedly....

My husband and I have upgraded our phones (iPhone 4s and iPhone 5) to the iPhone 5s.  We have given 2 of our kids the "old" phones and want to set them up as an iPod touch.  Both kids have email and need to be able to text (iMessage).
I have read multiple posts on how to do this and I am still confused.
    Apple ID/ICoud:
We want to be able to monitor what they do, but do not want their devices linked to our emails/contacts/etc...  Each kid has their own email account.  So, from what I have read the best way to do this is to use our family Apple ID, but set them up with a separate iCloud account?  Is this correct?
    Reset/Restore/DFU:
To start fresh we have done multiple factory resets.  I did one that someone said was a DFU and a plan ol' factory reset, etc...  Not sure the difference.  However, when I do that I get the "hello" screen and am able to start setting the phone up anew.  However, when I go to set the phone up as an iPod I end with the same result.
So, here is what I am doing (tell me what I am doing wrong):
    Hello Screen
Asks me to select language and selecting:  English
Select Your Country or Region:  United States
Choose a Wi-Fi Network:  select my home wi-fi network

Not included.  You can purchase Pages in the App Store, or use a free word processor like Bean or a free office suite like  LibreOffice or OpenOffice (and there's also MicroSoft Office for Mac)

We upgraded our operating sytem to Mountain Lion and now our computer wont recognize our time capsule. Help!!

Just to be sure, we're talking about a Time Capsule -- not an AirPort Extreme connected to an external hard drive. Right?
    If so, proceed as follows.
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Can I upgrade our Photoshop Elements 11 to 13 and download the upgrade to our desktop and laptop computers?

    Hi Lute,
You should be able to do that exactly as Jon said – although for the first time in many years, Adobe's Black Friday deals out for 2014 don't include any specials for Photoshop Elements...  It looks like they are focusing more on the CC product line with the offers.

Sorry, but it doesn't help JTANNA.
What is your definition of "more efficiently"? If it's limitation of search results, branded search, and limitation of styling your results then google search is more efficient. Real developers rely on their own developments. For example: how can google search display results from a password-protected site? They can't.

    Bob,
Definitely, neither did i say that. There have been some major improvements, since base 12.0.0.So, better we go with 12.0.4 then to 12.0.6 instead of 12.0
I didn't say 11.5.8, i said i tried 11.5.8/11.5.10.2, which implies i tried both but neither worked out for me.It all depends on their env's. I had a SR with Support in fixing autoconfig, it was going front and back for a month and still could figure out what the issue was. Then i said forget it and went on to R12.0 directly. And later patched it to R12.0.6I do remember you did this upgrade, we had many emails discussing some issues with your upgrade, and you ended up with 11i --> 12.0 --> 12.0.4
Frankly, even support had doubts on this. When i raised an SR, stating i'm coming from 11.5.7, the first thing they would do say is : This path is not supported, then i had to point them to the R12.0 upgrade doc. There is no doubt at all when it comes to 12.0.4 as you need to be on 11.5.8 or above, it is clear.
I never said to stop at R12.0, R12.0.6 should be the final destination as of now. I pointed the OP to upgrade to 12.0.4 instead of 12.0 which I believe is the proper upgrade path based on experience with this upgrade.
I only meant to say *11.5.7 can be upgraded to R12.0 directly*
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B34956_01/current/acrobat/r12upg11i.zip
That's right, and I do agree about this. But, I never referred to 12.0, so please try to read my replies again.

  • Hi, Comcast Upgraded our Router and....

    Hi,
Comcast upgraded our Router the other day, supposed to be faster now.  But I cannot connect by FTP through dreamweaver to any of my/clients sites anymore.  2 of them I can connect to, then it's like dreamweaver is running a test...it creates a directory, then deletes it, then closes the connection, my username/pass come back at 230OK,  it sets all my data protection level to "PRIVATE"  verify's my current location as the proper directory.. then quits and logs out.   Oh, and the site it will *not* connect to, one of them anyway, has a dedicated IP.
It is litterally like it is in an automated testing phase. :\
    Any ideas??
( P.S., Yes, everything worked find before the upgrade to the best of my knowledge EXCEPT dynamic sites which on a remote server would never "resolve" and approve the domain name/locations/site root (which of course is not "root root")  <--if you have a solution for this, I give you 10million Stars for the day. it's been a pet peeve for along time, I just didn't deal with it.

Some of the COMCAST routers have a firewall that can block certain IP ports. In the instructions that should have come with the router is how to connect to the router with a web browser. If the router has a firewall or access controls you should be able to open up port 20 or 21.
    Hope this helps

    Dear All,
We have upgraded our system from ECC 6 to 6.04 (EHP4).
There are many request in old development server which are in local request now .
We want to transport those requests to new development server which is upgraded one.
Can any one let me know is there any standard way of transporting these requests from old Development system (6)to new one(6.04).
    Thanks

    Hi Sahil,
Looks like latest EHP installer concentrate more on downtime minimize strategy.  We have only 3 options available as follows.
    1. Standard resource use
    2. High resource use
    3. Manual selection
Please take a look at below thread. Let's see what other experts comment on this.

No problem mate. I have noticed there is not much activity at the app store lately as all the Devs are making updates for their apps for 3.0.
They should have had the developer kit already and should have had stuff already out. MLB had an update out on the 17th the same day 3.0 came out. USA today Crosswords is a prime example that they should have fixed before 3.0 came out. Right now that app is useless until they get an update out.
Totally agree mate. We all have apps we can't use. Ridiculous. I had 2 updates on the 17th. But that's it. I have 20 other apps i can't use.
