Upload and file editing

Hello,
I'm having a problem I can not solve.
I would like the user of my flex application can select a CSV file directly on his hard drive disk then it will be parsed client-side.
Finally, I will send the information contained in this file to the server.
I know how to upload a file with FileReference but here, I really need to parse the file before any communication with the server.
Is this possible? I'm not sure to understand limits imposed by the sandbox.

There is no problem as long as you use Flex SDK 3.4+ and target Flash Player 10. I explain that here:

my users want to have csv upload and manual edit on apex pages functions together...
it means they want to insert the data by csv upload and also have interactive report and form on the same table...
so if user A changes something in csv file...then user B update or delete another record from apex fronted (manually in the apex form)...then after that user A wants to upload the csv file,the record was changed by user B would be overwritten ...
So how can I prevent it?????

after editing data by users...a manger going to review it and in case of approval , i need to insert the data to one final table....
so it needs much effort to check two source tables and in case of difference between table of csv and other one...what to do...

For details of how to restore the menus see the [[menu bar is missing]] article. With the menu bar back, you can select View, then Toolbars and click on the name of the toolbar to toggle displaying it.

You can't edit a file with PDF Pack, but you should be able to convert it to a Word document, and if you are really lucky edit THAT and make a new PDF. Don't expect too much though!

Unable to upload a file with Drag and Drop and http

Hello,
I am trying to upload a file through the web interface (Netscape 4.7 and IE 5.0). When I click un upload, Via Drag and Drop, a new window is started, but never completes.
With Netscape, I get a message box: Netscape is unable to locate the server null. Please check the server name and try again.
With IE 5, I get an error: This page can not be displayed.
Are there any files I need to edit on the PC side to get this to work?

PS I think you guys are doing a great job with support on iFS.

WebUI Drag & Drop requires FTP to be running and available.

Open the
SkyDrive site.

In the
Sign In page, if you own a Windows Live ID, please type your Windows Live ID and Password to sign in; Otherwise, you may click Sign Up to register a new one. See the following screen shot.

After signing in Windows Live, click Create folder.
4)     Name
the folder and edit permissions to share with relevant person.
Important Note: You
can share the folder with Everyone if there is no private/sensitive information (such as the screen shot of a prompt error message). To so so, simply select the "Everyone (Public)" option in the "Share with" box. Please refer to the following screen shot:

View Original. Press Ctrl + A, or Right Click and select Copy, to select it.

Then, the picture will be successfully inserted in that thread.

Upload and Attach file to Service Notificacion through Web Dynpro

Hi,
I need to upload and attach a file (Word, PDF, TXT ...) to Service Notificacion (TX - IW53) through Web Dynpro.
I have used the integration component "File Upload" to obtain the "fileName" atribute. Also, I have used the functions SO_OBJECT_UPLOAD, SO_INSERT_OBJECT and BINARY_RELATION_CREATE_COMMIT.
But have a problem, because the function SO_OBJECT_UPLOAD use the class "cl _ gui _ frontend _ services" and that clash with Web Dynpro.
My question is: how could I resolve that problem?

File Upload and download without asking/specifing the path

Hi,
I have a requirement in which user must be able to edit the Abode offline form by clicking on edit link. On clicking the link document must open (either download to some temporary location) in new window and user must be able to edit & to save the changes and also user must be able to check in or upload the file without asking for the location (source location).
1. Is it possible to achive the similar functionality in WebDynpro ABAP?
Like we open a document by clicking a link and we do changes and save the file and user clicks a button Check In and the document (which we edited) is uploaded to the application?

2. Is it possible in WDA to download a file to a temporary location and open the file for user editing & saving and also provide a option in applicaiton to upload the file from this temporary directory?
-- In GUI frontend services we can find the temporary directory ... but is it possible to achive this functionality in WDA?
3. Using FileDownload UI Element, we have option to download a file (Inplace option) which will open the file in the page ..but is there any possibility to read the modified contents in the Webdynpro application?
I mean can we achive the check in functionality using this approach? If yes could you please provide some information.
Please suggest incase this functionality can be achived using some other methods

I'm use Application Express 2.1.0.00.39 and the procedure " How to Upload and Download Files in an Application" :

HTMLDB_APPLICATION_FILES or wwv_flow_file_objects$.
which it is my error?

The documentation was for version 2.2. I could not find a 2.0 version of this howto:

However, I did find the correct name of the view for my version, HTMLDB_APPLICATION_FILES
After following the instructions in the above-mentioned "how to" (uploading and downloading files), I am a getting a html 403 error (You are not authorized to view this page) when I try to download from my custom table using the procedure specified in the howto.
I've granted execute on the procedure to public only (as specified in the doco).

This code is giving error as: cannot resolve symbol: class MultipartRequest
Why is this happening?

how to upload excel files and display its contents in the view of sapui5 table ,then 'create ' these data into the abap database using odataservice.
Do you have any solutions ? I appreciate for your help.

Two possible way come to mind.
1. ADF DI (desktop integration): sorry, don't know enough about it to give a how to :-(
2. POI (http://poi.apache.org/) : open source project to read and write excel file with java. Using POI you can open the .xsl file, read it's contents and display it as af:table. For this you need to read the xsl into a data structure (this can be a temporary db table or a list of POJOs) and build a data control out of it. This you can drop on a page as table.
