Upload ed file's data?

Hello
By using FileUpload UI element, i am UPLOADing my_microsoft_word_2010_DOCX file into my_WDA, fine. And am getting the data in XSTRING format, fine.
Now, i want to play around with this data (XSTRING, my_microsoft_word_2010_DOCX file's text), pls. let me know how can convert this XSTRING to Human readable format in my_WDA?
Pls. note tthis is MS-Word 2010 DOCX file

Negative Numbers considered as VARCHAR while uploading CSV file under Data Load in APEX

I am trying to upload a CSV file which contains negative numbers. These negative numbers are being considered as VARCHAR2 while uploading. And if I change the Column Type to Numbers the upload fails.
Any solutions the problem will highly be appreciated.

shows you which characters your database believes represent the decimal place and the thousands separator. So, if your database expects 1,234.123 and you present a 'number' as 1 234,123 it will complain.
Also, in your case... your comma-separated-values contain commas? Or are the individual fields enclosed with quotes?

Upload XML file data into internal table

Hi,
I need help from you.
I am uploading XML file from Application server.
1.In application server under directory it may have several XML files and i need to upload all the XML files when we gave only directory name. So, what is the function module for that logic . If possible code also.
2.Once we get the files into some internal table we need to upload data from that files to internal table.
So what is the logic for that , if possible code also.
I am giving sample directory:
For example in this directory assume 3 xml files are there.
I need to upload those files and data from that in to internal table.

Why is Firefox suddenly sorting windows Files by Date?

I may have changed a setting without knowing with some keystroke command, but suddenly yesterday Firefox started sorting my files in Windows (when I go to upload a file) by date modified. I tell it to sort by name but each time I go back it has defaulted to sorting by date again. This is really annoying.

Upload material and contract data from file in CCM 2.0

Hi guys,
This might be a difficult one!
We have the following situation in a Client:
We are upgrading a Requisitite catalog (working with BBP 2.0)
to a CCM 2.0 catalog.
In Requisite, one can upload material- and contract data from a file (it is standard funcionality) into the database.
We need to have the same kind of funcionality in CCM 2.0 because our client does not prefer to work with XI (which is the standard SAP solution in these cases).
How can we accomplish this? maybe with some additional ABAP coding!
Our client is not working with Vendor Catalogs but I´m trying to see if we can use a dummy vendor catalog to accomplish material upload in CCM2 form a CSV file.
Anyone had to face this situation before?
If so, please provide some clues how to do it?

where can i select master data or transcatioanal data option .
while run package i am getting fallowing eroor : Conversion result file is empty; either the source data file was empty or all records were rejected during conversion.

Hi,
To load transaction data - Run "Data Management>Import" Package. Before this make sureto upload the file to the server using "eData>Data Upload". You also need to create a transformation file to define the mappings between the data in flat file and the dimensions in the application.
To load master data - Run "System Administrative>ImportMasterData" package.

When downloading/uploading any file with Firefox, Finder shows date but not time

On my iMac, as I either upload or download a file using Firefox after installing Lion, the Finder window that opens for me to tell it where to either download the file to or upload it from, shows dates of all the existing docs there, but not the time. How can I make it show the time as well?

I have found the problem.
A download manager had been installed for a specific website and it was butting in all the time. Even after removing it with 'Add or remove software' it still had its hooks into the system and it was impossible to download anything as it now would not run.
Had to do an XP 'System restore' before I could get rid of it.
The offending program was MD_setup.exe size 3,045KB from the themediadownloader.com

Upload csv file data to sql server tables

Hi all,
I want clients to upload csv file from their machines to the server.
Then the program should read all the data from the csv file and do a bulk insert into the SQL Server tables.
Please help me of how to go about doing this.

1) Use a multipart form with input type="file" to let the client choose a file.
2) Get the binary stream and put it in a BufferedReader.
3) Read each line and map it to a DTO and add each DTO to a list.
4) Persist the list of DTO's.

I have to validate all forms data like text items and check box elements and upload file to unix. I am using java script for file validations and cgi script to upload file. With this I am able to either read form data or upload file but not both.
At a time I want to insert a record to database with html form values and upload file to unix with htp package. Please suggest how can I read html form data + uploading a file to unix simultaneously in a single htp procedure.

Cannot upload csv file of customer data on sample application...

Hi I am learning about APEX through the Oracle hosted site and I've been trying the data upload on the customers table.
I downloaded the sample data from the customer table into a csv file using the apex download feature. I then just left the first row which
contains the column names,deleted the other rows in the csv,except for one where I changed the data.
When i try to upload the csv file back,using the sample app with comma as separator,and first row as column data, I get the error "Do not Load"
in the column names although the row1 of the data displays correctly under each column.
Here's the Copy and Paste text:

I did use a comma. I did it again just to be sure.
Using the Data Workshop->Text Data and a csv file I was able to load the data without any problem.
Using the same csv, but from the sample application,same problem. Pasting in the Data Field,same problem.
Also I was trying to load about 20 records to another table from an Excel file,by copying the range and pasting in the Date Field of the Data Workshop.
The rows displayed correctly in the Data Field but on loading,got "No Data Found".
Saving the Excel data to a csv and again using the Data Workshop>Text Data >csv file etc,no problem at all,data was loaded instantly.
The safest bet is to use the Data Workshop and a csv file,but thats only for developers.
Probably a simple error somewhere ,but if (thats a big if) anyone could paste the data I posted earlier in the demo_customers and see if they have the same error,

Create BDC group per uploading excel file to fill data in Tcode FB01l

hi experts,
i'm using BDC to run T-code FB01L . for this i'm uploading excel file for input data. my requiremenr=t is as follows : "
only one BDC group should be created per uploading file." But At this moment BDC group is created per document. For user it is not possible to handle, say 1000 BDC groups.
please suggest.

The answer is simple and you should be able to work it out yourself but I am feeling generous today.
I am assuming that each line in your excel spreadsheet is a document. The easiest way to do this is simply build up youd BDC table first then create the group.
