Upload picture in a report/form

Hello,
I have a list of products and want to upload a picture to each entry. Is there a possibility to create an upload button? How can I save the picture in my table?

Yes, you can create a 'File Browse...' page item which handles the upload process. It's in the list alongside text fields etc.
Unfortunately, theres a bit of work involved in pulling the uploaded file from an internal APEX table and moving it into where you ultimately want it, but this is well documented on the forum.

Images can't be uploaded to this forum, but they can be displayed inside your post (inline) by making them accessible on a website. In that case put the url between two exclamation ('!') points, e.g. \!www.apple.com\!. You'll find more formatting info at [http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=121950].
You can see how your post will appear by clicking the Preview tab above the "Post Message: Reply" editor panel. Another trick that might come in handy: If you want to see how someone else formatted their post, just click Reply, then click the double-quote (") icon just below the Preview tab.

Steps for uploading Logo :-:
1. Goto the transaction OAER
2. Enter the class name as 'PICTURES'
3. Enter the class type as 'OT'
4. Enter the object key as the name of the logo you wish to give
5. Execute
6. Then in the new screen select Standard doc. types in bottom window
Click on the Screen icon
Now, it will ask for the file path where you have to upload the logo
7. Now you can use this logo in REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE

Do you not see the iphone listed in the left hand column of iphoto? If you do select it and see if it loads your images on the screen. Report back with more information.

i do not know if this feature is in CR10, as i use CRxi, but if you insert a picture then right click on it, choose graphic options then the picture tab, there is a button where you can enter the graphic location.

Cant not upload pictures from my SD card into FCE through canon xha1s firewire. Is there another way? The strange part is when I originally hooked my canon up to the Imac iphoto saw the camcorder as a device and I do not what has happen since then. I just bought the camcorder and would like to take advantage of the photo capabilities as well as the video. All help would be greatly appreciated.

The card video stuff will most likely load into iPhoto when you tranfer the stills. USB connection only.
The video on the card will be a highly compressed, small dimensioned format and won't work directly with FCE and not over firewire in any shape or form.
However, you could take the clips from iPhoto and convert them to an FCE freindly format such as the DV codec. Streamclip is a free application that can do the job.

Can't upload pictures to facebook since newest upgrade of firefox, but IE works fine

I notice after firefox recently upgraded, that I can't upload pictures to my facebook pages.. anywhere.. profile, events, albums...after hitting the upload button I just get the "wait" rotating icon, and I have to change pages to get away from that. I have several accounts on facebook, and its the same on each. I tried updating java, but that didnt help.
BUT, if I change to IE8, which came on my computer when I bought it, everything works fine, the same graphic I tried uploading in Firefox, loaded in seconds., went back to firefox, and still couldnt upload the same graphic.

This seems to be a Facebook to Firefox issue. LOADS of people reporting the same, all this week. Obviously, facebook changed something.

Thank you! you pointed me in the right direction, I disabled a few actions in the initial load job, including "WriteGroupPrivileges".
I had to disable the following Attributes: MX_INHERIT, MX_GROUP_INHERITANCE
I got the following error:
Value not legal for this attribute:Attribute: MX_GROUP_INHERITANCE" when storing attribute 'MX_GROUP_INHERITANCE=ONE'

Image upload / resize in "Update Record" form?

I've created a form to add products to a database, it includes an image field using the "upload and resize image" behavior. This works fine.
But now I'm building the uèpdate form and want to offer users the possibility of either retaining the current file, uploading a new image to the server (and delete/overwrite the previous one if it exists) or delete the current image without uploading a new one.
how would i go about this?

oops, yes, sorry, you´re right of course -- just didn´t read it too carefully :-)
However, what Somaboy and Dave want, is a little different from what the tutorial explains at this point -- what´s explained there, will of course be deleting that image physically and erasing the file name entry from the table, but that won´t cover the requirement to additionally upload another picture from the same form.
In this special case I *think* that one would have to perform both deletion processes as "before" triggers -- to make sure that the file as such plus the corresponding table entry are really gone before the upload procedure happens.
If someone will ever find out a well-working strategy to get this
(BTW very often asked for) requirement done, many folks here would certainly jump for joy -- also because that´s something you apparently can´t do without implementing a chain of at least custom triggers.
But there´s also a much easier solution available to those folks who don´t want to bother with implementing custom triggers for this purpose alone :: this is how I´d do it:
1. use what´s described in step 3 of the tutorial you posted to delete the physical file and the "filename" column entry
2. pass the current recordset´s ID to the "redirect after update" page, and here...
3. add a "SELECT file_column FROM table_name WHERE ID" matches the URL parameter ID - query in order to check if this column is empty or not -- and if it´s empty, execute an "upload and resize image" behavior on this page.

Accident Picture on Accident Report

I want to have a accident picture on accident report using WWI.
I have this picture as DMS document in User Defined Text Docuemnst section of Incident Accidnet Log, How to create a symbol for this to get that picture on fina lreport.
Same thing I have done it without WWI, by using smart form, it is very mcuh possible, but with WWI how we can make it possible.

In spro go to Basic settings and tools for report definition. under report symbols you get specify report symbol groups. there you need to define it. Copy group 11 and customise the foreing key-function module: C12N_DEFAULT_PARAM_INCAFFPERS
This would enable you to convert fields to symbols.

Using Applescript for uploading pictures on the Internet

Hello!
I was wondering if there was a way to use Applescript with Firefox (or another browser)...?
We have many many villas on our website, each one with lots of pictures. We are constantly adding new villas to our site and amending old ones.
To add pictures we go to a page in our cms for each villa, located there is a drop down menu - image 1, image 2, 3 etc etc etc
For each one we have to manually browse for and attach the photo. As you can guess this is a time consuming process, we have asked the web designer before for this but he is so busy and we have other more important stuff for him to be working on.
As Applescript is so nifty I was wondering if anybody had an idea on how to use it for this process - i.e. have a folder full of pictures on the desktop and Applescript can add them?
I have no idea if this is possible, any ideas?

Yeah I completely understand, I just wanted to see if anybody knew if it could be done.
Obviously for security reasons I can't let anybody into our CMS, so looks like it's a bit of an impossible task.
Although it would be awesome to simply change the script slightly for each villa and let it do it all, this would be stupidly complicated as there are many menus to navigate to get to the uploading picture area.
It would be great if I could do all that manually then once on that page (or given the page url to Applescript) set Applescript running to upload all the images for me.

The drop down menu contains:
Villa Plan
Small Location Map
Image Gallery 1
Image Gallery 2
etc
etc
I could arrange a folder with the pictures in order (i.e. Villa Plan first, then Small location Map, then the picture for 1 etc) so no worries about the Villa Plan and location map.
I've got a feeling I'm just going to have to do it manually (I shall forever be uploading pictures), but I thought I would give it to some of you geniuses to mull over!
For whoever creates a script I'll give you a discounted stay in Paradise... there's an incentive!!

I have no idea what you did or what happened - but I can assure you that loading from a different camera does not create a new library
So you need to supply information and someone here will assist you in sorting this out and figuring out what you really did
What version of iPhoto do you have? What version of the OS? Why do you think that a second library has been created? What do you see when you launch iPhoto with the optipon kep depressed and use the select library option? Where is your iPhoto library normally?
Anything else you can tell us that might help?
