Uploading a digital signature

We are currently using a digital signature to sign our printed checks. The person whose signature is on the check is leaving and we need to replace it with a new signature. The consultant who loaded the original signature is no longer with us.
Can you give me the informatin needed to upload a new signature to replace the old one?
Thanks.

Hi,
Check if it's stored as a standard text in transaction SO10..There is a standard program to upload these from a file - I'll try to find it.
no need for upload program - you can simply edit the text and use menu
Text -> upload to bring in the new version.
The key to all of this is to find the signature in the SAPScript maybe there is a window with 'SIG' in the name? - that will tell you whether it's a standard text or graphic

    Hi Abraham,
The workaround software we have used is provided by Ace Technology, they are one of the approved DSC vendors.
    This is their contact details:
    | Email: [email protected] | website: www.acetechnology.co.in
If you are going for the same vendor, go for a Grade 3 signature, it allows you to do a Mass Digital Signature.
The tech support provided by them was not that great, we eventually figured out how to use thier product, but incase you take the same service I can help you in figuring out how to use the USB token.

  • Non-Digital Signature on PDF Form

I've created a form and have a space where a signature is needed.  I'd like to use the signature field, but when my audience tested it the box was blank and did not allow them to upload a digital signature or go through the adobe security signature process (which it did for me).  This could be because they are only looking at it in Reader.  Nonetheless, here's my question:
Is there a way to create a signature field where they can either upload their own electronic signature (like from a .jpg file) or let them sign it with a different font?
Or do I just leave the signature field off, let them print it and hard sign the form, scan it and email it back?
    Help!

Recent versions of Acrobat can use digital certificates to sign PDF forms with a digital signature field.
Only Reader version XI can use a digital certificate to sign a PDF form with a digital signature field only if the form does not have Extended Reader Rights. Older versions or Reader cannot sign with a digital certificate.
If you need this or all versions or Reader you either need to use Echosign or other signing service or purchase a LIveCycle Server product to apply the special right for digital certificate signing. But this will be costly.

  • How i add digital signature in interactive form

    Hi gurus,
I want to upload an Digital Signature in Adobe forms. Could any body tell me the procedures please help me out.
    Thank you,
    pawan

    Hi Pawan,
Inorder to make use of Digital Signatures in forms, you have to first configure the ADS based on SSL and not Basic Authentication. Refer to the ADS Configuration guide for the same.
After the configuration using SSL as the security mode, you need to place a signature field when designing the Adobe form.
In addition you need to create a signature in Adobe Reader(if used to display the form) which you can use to sign the document at runtime.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Shree,
As mentioned in your post, the configuration given in the document is Basis related. However, the entire configuration for Digital Signature for Form 16 is available in Note 1168740. Are you facing some problem in opening the links mentioned in the Note?
You can try to visit the below links:
    a) Uploading a digital signature in the system:
You obtain your credentials and the corresponding public keys (as part of a certificate) for certifying and signing from a
certification authority. Steps to install these credetials is explained at following URL:

Also, go through the Note 1589254 (Form 16 central note for ADS configuration). In order to include digital signature to Form 16's PDF, some additional ADS configuration is required. This note provide check point of ADS configuration for Form16. Once done check the form 16 and let me know if you are getting some error on executing Form 16 with digital signature? Or are the signature not working at all?

  • How to Print Digital Signature in Smart forms.

    Hi Experts,
Any one please help me how to use digital signatures in SMARTFORMS.?
Which are the tables used to store digital signatures and please any one have any demo program which prints the the digital signature using smartforms kindly let me know.
    Thanks,
    Sunil kairam.

    Hi Sunil,
After doing some research in sdn and other sources i found the following result...
Digital Signatures are nothing but graphics that we can store in SAP and use in our Smart Forms.
For Example you can create a .bmp file of your signatures, upload it via SE78, and then use it in your Smart Forms in your Footer Area as "Authorized Signatory".
The Logic in the Print Program can be something as follows -
    1. Maintain a Z Table having fields like PLANT, FORMID (Name of the SmartForm), USERID.
    2. Before calling the Form, the validation is made for the Logged in User with the Z Table created.
    3. If the User Entry exists in the Z-Table, the Form is called and the Signature Image is displayed in the Footer Block i.e. the Authorized Signature.
    4. If user entry does not exist in the Z-Table then the message is displayed "You are not the Authorized for Printing the Form" and exits the Transaction.

  • Hide the Save As dialog in the digital signature process

    Hi!
I'm searching for a way to hide the Save As dialog when digitally signing a pdf document (embedded in a website) and instead transmit the signed document back to the website without saving it locally.
(The reason for doing this is, that I can not be sure whether the user is capable of storing the signed document locally, recover it and send it back to the server.)
In the "Adobe Acrobat SDK - Developing Plug-ins and Application" documentation under "Digital signature extended API", "Understanding the process" is stated that the digital signature plug-in displays the Save As dialog box. But it's not clear to me whether there is a way to suppress it and instead call some custom code to send the document to a webservice or something like that. (btw: I'm new to the acrobat sdk api)
Could someone be a bit more specific about this?
Are there other ways to achieve my aims?
(To use submit buttons inside the document is not an option.)
    Thanks and kind regards
    Marcel

    Hi Leonard
I'll try to explain in more detail what I'd like to do. :)
    Preconditions:
    - I have no controle over the forms.
    - I need to build a website hosting PDF documents for clients.
    - The client needs to be able to access these docs and digitally sign them.
    - When the client signs them, they should be stored on the website (overwrite the unsigned ones).
    Problem:
The whole process should be as simple as possible for the client. Therefore he should not have to manually download the docs, sign them and manually upload them to the website.
    Possible solution:
The client selects a document to sign which is then opened inside the website (aspx / custom control) by the Adobe Reader browser plug-in.
Now, when the client signs the document I would like to catch the "Save as" dialog and instead call some custom routine to send the signed document back to the website (webservice).
    As I see it:
We would have to write a Reader plug-in that would be started when the browser-plugin is called and could be passed the address of the webservice (to send the signed PDF). Maybe the address passing could be done by javascript, but the handling of the "Save as" dialog would probably have to be handled by a custom plug-in.
    My question:
Is there any way to accomplish the above (if yes, how?), or are these things that are just not possible (why? ;)?
I hope this helps to clear up things a little...
    Thanks for any help!
    Marcel

  • Fire fox is not reading my XML file for digital signature

I have to upload the xml file in www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in by digitally signing the xml file. When I click on the tab for digital sign, the message come " cannot read the xml file"

Not the sort of thing it is easy to help with as by definition it will not be a public site but one for Indian Taxpayers, and can be expected to be secure.
Have you tried using Internet Explorer.

  • To print Digital signature on the Purchase Order

How to print Digital Signature, on the PO Print copy (PDF).
It will be based on release strategy. Whoever is approving the PO, his signature should be printed automatically on the Purchase Order.
    How to achieve this ??
Please let me know in detail
    thanks
    amit

    Hi Amit,
I am not sure on how to get the the signature of the person who released the PO, because as per my understanding the Relase Strategy i.e the Relase code is attached to a Basis profile.
What I would suggest is if you can get all the guys who can release a PO and define him as a Purchaser ie. a Purchasing group then it would be easier to print his signature in the PO.
    Here are the Highlevel steps
    1. Just have the Signature you want to print in a Tiff format.
    2. You can upload the signature as a standard Text using program RSTXLDMC to upload and give a text name.
    3. call the text name in your sap scripts.
    reward if useful.
    Thx,
    MJ

  • Digital Signatures on TechNet Gallery - thoughts?

I've recently obtained a code-signing certificate from DigiCert (who are awesome, and offer these certs for free to MVPs for personal use), and was thinking of going back and signing the various bits of script that I've posted to the TechNet Gallery. However,
most of these posts are code fragments (individual functions, etc).  The intention isn't that the user will run them as-is, but just copy and paste the code into their own modules, profiles, scripts, or whatever.
This means that my signature would be thrown out anyway before the code is executed, but there may still be some benefit in verifying, at the time of download that the code hasn't been modified in any way since I originally uploaded it (say, for instance,
if someone manages to gain unauthorized access to my Microsoft account or the TechNet Gallery in some way.)
The only one I've signed so far is the Enhanced Script Logging Module, because that is uploaded as a zip file that contains, among other things, a compiled DLL.  Not only is that one intended to be run as-is, but it's also harder for people to
verify that the DLL file is safe to run.
What do you think?  Worth the time to go back and sign / re-post everything else?

    Hey Len
there is an internal mailing list for Oracle folks - drop me a mail for it.
that said, the standalone release of Publisher supports a site wide(no support for user digital signatures) digital signature that will be added to all PDF documents that BIP generates.
Please check the documentation for more info - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10415_01/doc/bi.1013/e12188/T421739T475591.htm#5013688
