Uploading documents into ipod touch

Hey is it possible to upload and view documents offline on the ipod touch? I usually convert my documents into images which is starting to be quite a hassle. Any ideas?

In a few months, the SDK (Software Developers Kit) will be available and new apps will be written for the iPod Touch.
You can send feedback to Apple for feature requests.
For now, I would suggest using iPhoto since there is currently no other method of getting iTunes to sync your documents with your iPod Touch.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- Try another cable
- Try on another computer

If your iTunes is set on manual sync, then you have to manually drag and drop. Otherwise every time yousyncyou'll get all changes even if you don't want it.

GuidedProcedure - how to move uploaded document into KM?

Hello Anyone,
could you please help me on how to get an uploaded Document into a specific Directory of the KnowledgeManagement?
Currently I am trying to create a Process (Guided Procedure) which lets a User upload a Document (Callable Object->Misc->File Input), create a Folder in the KM, store this uploaded Document into that folder and adapt some folder-rights, configure discussions, etc..
However, I can't find any programs/webdynpros/callableobjects which do these things? Any hints on standard, reusable "components" which may be used as Callable Objects to work with the KnowledgeManagementSystem?

No, you use iTunes on either a PC or a Mac as the Apple article says in the link I supplied in my previous post.

Connect the iPod to your computer and unsync them:
To delete photos from your device
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Click Apply.

Sprint/CDMA iPhone 4 into iPod touch?

I have a Sprint (CDMA) iPhone 4 that is due to be deactivated on 2/26. Ive already erased all my data, removed it from my iTunes account, turned off iMessaging etc. to get ready for resale but maybe I'll just keep it as an iPod Touch.. Each of the walkthroughs I've read talk about having an active SIM card when going through making it into an iPod but being a Sprint phone there is no SIM card. Is there a specific way to go through setting it up, should I wait til its actually deactivated, or should I just go through like I'm setting it up as a phone and just put it in airplane mode?

I am not sure but I believe that if it has a SIM card in it and you connec the phone to itunes it should appear in the list of devices in the left margin of itunes

Cant log into ipod touch

I was able to log into my ipod touch with no problems since I bought it but all of a sudden starting this morning, it no longer allows me to log in at all. the screen just freezes and/or it just turns itself off.
Anyone know how to get past this problem?

- First try resetting the iPOd. Nothing will be lost.
- Next try restoring the iPof via iTunes

Uploading Documents into Adobe Flash Catalyst

In Adobe Flash Catalyst, I have created a thumbnail with a scroll bar. That thumbnail is needed in order for a user to be able to click on any of the documents within that thumbnail, which will open in another browser window for viewing purposes.
The problem is that I have noticed that when trying to upload any type of document (i.e. word, pdf, etc.) in Adobe Flash Catalyst, it will require that the document be changed into an image file. Once the document is changed to an image file such as a jpeg, for example, it will then separate the document into multiple images if the document was more than one page. This seems like such a tedious effort from a developer standpoint. And also, from an end-user standpoint, the user will not be able to click on ONE image within the thumbnail to see the entire document. Instead, if you are dealing with a 4-page document, you will have to click on each individual page within the thumbnail in order to view the entire document. Is there a better way of doing this?

Some of my Movies and video podcasts won't upload to my ipod touch

I've been uploading my dvd collection on to my computer through a handy application called handbreak, the main reason for this was so I could watch it on my ipod touch on its beautiful display, but the problem is that it won't upload because the video says the ipod won't support it. I checked the format, mp4 which works in itunes fine, then I checked the size of each and they were quite big since I set the encoding to normal but It should upload even if it's a little big. Another problem is with my video podcasts, some of their HD content won't transfer over, this majority blows because I don't want to compress every single episode. Why is it not working?, and could their be a solution to this besides compressing each file in quicktime pro?

Right click on the video (or select multiple videos and right click) and choose "Convert Selection for iPod/iPhone".

Bringing Movie Clips into ipod Touch

I know there is a really simple answer to this, I'm just not seeing it (:
I'd like to bring some .avi movie clips into the ipod but I don't seem to see how to do this. I've tried doing a drag and drop of the clip into the box under the 'Movie' tab in itunes, but that didn't work. Is there a place to put the clips where itunes sees them?

You have to use itunes. Open the file in itunes and it will be added to the library and can be synced to your ipod if you select it in the movie pane.
You can add videos other than those purchased from the iTunes Store to iPod touch,
such as videos you create in iMovie on a Mac or videos you download from the
Internet and then add to iTunes.
If you try to add a video from iTunes to iPod touch and a message says the video can’t
play on iPod touch, you can convert the video.
Convert a video to work with iPod touch: Select the video in your iTunes library and
choose Advanced > “Create iPod or iPhone Version.” Then add the converted video to
iPod touch.

My daughter downloads apps from her ipad2 all the time ,when we connect her ipad to her itunes and want transfer her apps into library thats where we get stuck. She has ipod touch as well so all her apps shows ther and when we sync it even manually it transfer on her ipod and library.
She wants separate apps for ipod touch and separate apps for her ipad.
How do we do that? Icloud is off and we ticked manually sync but it will still appear in library and ipod touch

It is both off ipod and ipad. It only happens when connecting ipad or ipod via cable into itunes.

Will iPhone 3G turn into iPod Touch?

I have been thinking about upgrading to the iPhone 4. I currently have a 3G. My question is will I still be able to use my 3G not in the capacity making calls but turning it into a glorified iPod Touch? Nothing is currently wrong with the phone, just think its time to upgrade?
My other question, has anyone tried this yet? I would like to know if it is worth the $199 upgrade.

You can use a no longer activated iPhone as an iPod Touch, but in order to install a firmware update on a no longer activated iPhone or restore a no longer activated iPhone with iTunes if wanted or needed, the no longer activated SIM card that was used with the iPhone when it was activated must be inserted in the iPhone to complete the process. This does not involve re-activating the iPhone.
Is it worth AT&T's subsidized price for the iPhone 4 which requires signing a new 2 year contract, I thought so or I would not have done it and I and continue to think so. There is a significant improvement with the iPhone 4 and the 3G.
