Uploading from MSP Client to cProjects 4.5 -- Leveling Delay

Does SAP cProjects support leveling delay functionality as contained within Microsoft Project?  The intention is to import task-level information regarding leveling delays (an offset from the task start date as defined by predecessor/successor relationships, constraints, etc...).
There are several instances where resource constraints require project managers to stagger the start of activities based on the availability of certain resources/skills necessary to complete a task.  If there are changes to the project staffing wherein additional resources are made available for the project, the project manager can remove the "leveling delays" to update the schedule.  Otherwise, project managers would have to find a way of using task constraints and would have to document real task constraints from ones created in an effort to resource load level the plan.
Thanks,
Luis

    What am I doing wrong?
    Is this philosphy correct?
Should the HttpURLConnection be to the target folder
and then create the file in it?

    hello,
first here is my interpretation of your prob.
You have a client. From this client you are trying to upload files onto a server.
Finding the files and reading them on the client side is not a prob. The prob is storing them on the server side.
    right?
If the above stated prob is right, here is a solution.
    1. You have to first inform the server that you are sending the file. Unless you do so the server will not understand when you have started sending the file.
So, initially, the applet which you have written need to communicate with a servlet on the server side.
This can be done using reqs.. .get or post.In the req itself you can even send the name of the folder wherein you want to store the file you are going to transfer later on.
Next, after receiving the folder name, the servlet can now understand that next file data is going to be received.
The applet now sends the file which is received by the servlet and stored appropriately.
You need to explicitly write a servlet to receive a data into the file and then store the file into appropriate folder.

  • JSP : latest  JSTL, File Upload from web form Client to Server Question!

I understand that within a JSP, It is possible to read a file from the Client by opening a Stream somehow.
How do I code, within jsp/servlet (non tag) java code inside <% %>
blocks, WITHOUT openening a new connection to the URL, an InputStream from a client web browser form, from a file upload coded using
    <input type="file" name="file1"/> ?
I have previously achieved this quite simply with a FileInputStream
with the previous version of JSTL.
How may I do this with the latest version of JSTL, with this index.jsp?
    -with a simple text file.
-with a Binary file (with DataInputStream)?

    aside from [http://commons.apache.org/fileupload/|http://commons.apache.org/fileupload/],
maybe using servlet style code, to get the File contents from a remote Client,
to the remote Server servlet engine, AVOIDING ANY SUPERFLUOUS CONTENT,
using version 1.12 of the JSTL, JSP 2.0,Tomcat 6?
Just politely, yes, no, and how?

  • How to Remove "Project Plan Template" from Project MSP client Enterprise tab / Project Server 2013

    Hello All,
    This should be easy one.
I have created a "Project Plan Template" and applied to the EPT. Now i open my MSP Client 2013 and go to New--> Enterprise tab and select the template i want to use to create a new project. However, there are unnecessary Plan Templates which
i want to remove from enterprise tab.
    Please Help.
    sandeep

Hi Sandeep, Go to PWA,server settings, delete enterprise objects. Then select the project combo box. You will see the list of all projects of your instance, with a column named "type". In this column you will find projects, sub projects, master
projects and templates. Just sort along this type column, look for the templates, select the template to remove and click on the "delete" button.

  • How to transfer data from one client to another client

    Dear Experts,
Please explain how to transfer data (Materials) from one client to another client?
    Thanks,
    Ajay Kumar

    Hi Ajay,
    Check any of below methods
Refer thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/171981 where people use IDOCs for master data transfer.
    OR
This is done by BASIS team, by client refresh or client copy. Check with your basis team for this and there is some predefined time when they plan this activity, and in most project they do it once in 3 months etc to get production environment in test system which helps to resolve issues of production by creating similar case in test system.
Check below threads for more information
    http://sap.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/sap-basis/cleint-copy-vs-client-refresh-1377848
    http://basissap.blogspot.in/2008/05/what-is-client-copy.html
    OR
You can download data from one client and upload in another through BDC or LSMW.

    Hi,
We have exactly the same error in IBolt. This error happens sometime and we don't find the reason.
IBolt has been upgraded to Version 3.1 SP1 and a fix has been developed by the support. After installation, we've work hardly during 2 days for testing all the flows by the customer without having this error.
Ibolt works as a service and when this error occurs, the service stopped and must be restarted.
In our flows, we have put a delete of the observer.dll file just before the rest of the flow but it doesn't solve the problem.
Deleting the directory can be temporarly a solution but the error come back another day.
Each time the SBO client or DTW is started, the %temp%\SMS_OBJ_DLL directory is created...
When you just delete the observer.dll file and leave the rest of the directory like it is, the file is re-created when you start and log to SBO. I would say that this file is a copy of another file observer_800178.dll (800178 depending of the version of SBO yoi have). 800178 corresponds to SBO 2007 A PL 42.
Do you have more information since your post has been send ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Best regards.

  • Problem while Consuming Java Webservice from WCF client

    Hi,
I am trying to Consume Java Webservice from WCF client. The webservice main functionality is digital data management. The client can Query Digital data and upload digital data by calling webservice methods.Problem is when i am trying to call webmethod from WCF client its giving "Unrecognised message versions".I have no idea about how the message objects are processed at serverside.but at server side they have used JAXP for XML document parsing.
The response content type is Multipart/related and applicatio/XOP+XML.
Can u plz help me how to handle this situation.I have minimum knowledge in Java WS architecture.Basically i am .Net programmer.
Can U please guide me in a proper way to resolve the problem.

    Hi Abinash,
I have the same problem. Have you solve that problem?
I am using a java program to call a webservice too. And I have generated the client proxy definition for Stand alone proxy using NWDS. When I call the method of the webservice I am getting the correct result but along with the result I am getting one error and one warning message in the output.
The java code to call the webservice is as follows.
    MIDadosPessoaisSyncService service = new MIDadosPessoaisSyncServiceImpl();
    MIDadosPessoaisSync port = service.getLogicalPort("MIDadosPessoaisSyncPort");
    port._setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.username","xpto");
    port._setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.password","xpto");
    String out = port.MIDadosPessoaisSync("xpto", "xpto");
    System.out.println(out);
The result I am getting is :
Warning ! Protocol Implementation [com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.wsdl2java.features.builtin.MessageIdProtocol] could not be loaded (NoClassDefFoundError) !
    Error Message is :com/sap/guid/GUIDGeneratorFactory
<b>The result of the WS is correct!!!</b>
The Java project does not have any warning. But the stand alone proxy project has following warnings associated with it.
This method has a constructor name     MIDadosPessoaisSync.java
The import javax.xml.rpc.holders is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
The import javax.xml.rpc.encoding is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
The constructor BaseRuntimeException(ResourceAccessor, String, Throwable) is deprecated     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
It is very similar with your problem, could you help me?

  • How to get file input stream from the client machine by JSF Fileupload API?

    Dear Friends,
How to get the file input stream from the client machine by JSF HtmlFileupload or fileupload API. At present, if i execute the file upload code in the client machine, it is able to get the local path of the file and looking for the file in server machine. So i am getting FileNotFoundException.
E.g., If a file is located at client machine at following location means "C:\Test\Test.txt",
uploadClass.getFileuploadComponent().getFilename().toString() returns "C:\Test\Test.txt". But it is looking for that file in server and throwing FileNotFoundException.
    Please post your replies soon.
    Thanks,
    JP

Depends on which version of JSF you're using. If JSF 1.2, I wouldn't even bother trying to hack this into JSF itself unless you can use something like Seam 2 or richfaces.
    http://docs.jboss.org/richfaces/latest_3_3_X/en/devguide/html/rich_fileUpload.html
    http://docs.jboss.org/seam/2.2.1.CR3/reference/en-US/html/controls.html#d0e29259 (look for s:fileUpload)
But if I were you, a simple non-jsf form with a servlet works best for taking file uploads.
As for JSF 2.0, there are other ways of getting it done.

  • Purchase Order Data transfer from one client to another client

Suppose i have created some purchase orders in one client( development server) and that are accurate according to our need .
Now instead of creating same purchase orders again in production server is a useless task.
SO i want to upload these purchase order directly from SAP development client to production client.
    How to execute this task.
    Please help me  out.
I think it needs ALE concept .
I know the ALE concept but i never uploaded the transaction data through ALE only i have uploaded the MASTER DATA.
For eg i have transfered the material from one server to another server but never transfered the purchase order.
CAN anybody help me out with simple example then it will greatful to me.
    Thanks a lot

hi u can use BAPI to call that PO FROM ONE CLIENT TO ANOTHER CLIENT.
FOR that, use, data: wa_destination type gsval.
      CASE sy-sysid.
        WHEN 'DVH'.
CONCATENATE 'DVC' 'CLNT' '021' INTO wa_destination.
        WHEN 'QAH'.
CONCATENATE 'QAC' 'CLNT' '129' INTO wa_destination.
        WHEN 'SUH'.
CONCATENATE 'SUC' 'CLNT' '222' INTO wa_destination.
        WHEN 'PRH'.
CONCATENATE 'PRC' 'CLNT' '222' INTO wa_destination.
      ENDCASE.
    call function  BAPI_PO_CREATE DEATINATION WA_DESTINATION
    COMMIT
REWARD POINTS IF THIS IS USEFUL
