Uploading image path

Hi All,
in my requirement i need the  path where the image will be uploading in  the server dynamically.
Thannks,
Ramani.

You can try uploading the images dynamically to the Content Management inside the Portal.
in my file upload program i use following path
RID pathRID = RID.getRID("/documents/Public Documents/PICDATA"); //Root Directory
where /documents/Public Documents/PICDATA is existiing folder in KM on portal.
If you are using webdynpro for Java then make use of FileUpload UI element and KM API's

  • Storing Uploaded Image Path into Mysql

    Hi I am developing a cms and am using the code David gives in his book PHP Solutions,  everything works fine but I can't work out how to extract the uploaded path so that it is stored in my table.
    Help would be really appreciated, I am making good progress in learning the php especially with David's books but am still struggling when it comes to having to customized the code.
    The code for the upload.php is as follows,
    <?php
    class Gp1_Upload{
      protected $_uploaded = array();
      protected $_destination;
      protected $_max = 51200;

                                    'image/jpeg',

    Hi David
    Thank you very much for your help.  I had continued to work on the code and had worked out how to input the image path into the database but it was using the original filename, so when every it is changed it did not work.  The code in my page at that point was the following,
    <?php     // 2. NEW USER REGISTRATION<br />
            include_once ("includes/form_functions.inc.php");

  • ADD FILES FOR UPLOAD - IMAGE PATHS DO NOT WORK IN WIDGETS

    Hi There
    I'm trying to add my own images to a widget I bought from Qooqee - the Wrapper_v2 image slider. But when I try to add my own images with the image path it doesn't work. I've tried adding the image with 'Add Files for Upload' - and then using the full path which I get from right clicking on it in the assets panel - but it still doesn't work.
    Most of the widgets require you to either specify the image path, or an external URL. I do not want to use a third party image hosting site to get URL's for every image I want to use on the site - so I just need to know what I'm doing wrong with the Add files for Upload - why do my file paths not work in the widgets?

    Provide the name of the program you are using so a Moderator may move this message to the correct program forum
    This Cloud forum is not about help with program problems... a program would be Photoshop or Lighroom or Muse or ???
    Also, you need to ask for help from the widget maker

    i need ur help,we hav online site .Please don't use these juvenile abbreviations. It's impolite when you're asking for assistance not to make the effort to spell out all of the words. Moreover in a forum with an international readership the use of standard English will reduce the possibility of confusion.
    I presume that your file upload is being placed in a different directory from that which you were expecting. I would suggest logging all paths (specifically filename) to see if this is an unexpected value.
    Please explain further what you mean by "local" - is this a stand-alone application, or merely running a copy of the server on your local machine and doing the transfer (via the browser) to that? Are there any other differences such as the browser used?

  • Need to capture multiple image paths for responsive design when only one will be displayed at a time

    I'm new to CQ and am having enough trouble following the documentation on image components as it is (why is there no master reference for all this?). I have a requirement where we need to capture three versions of an image and put the URLs into three attributes of a tag. The appropriately sized image will be selected via JavaScript based on the browser/device capabilities. I need to know how to capture those images when seemingly only one at a time can be dropped onto the page. Or perhaps there is a more CQ solution to this.

    Hi,
    You need to customize image component. I mean selected image is a asset in the repository and each asset by default has 3 rendtion generated when the image is uploaded in the dam.
    For example when you upload image.jpg file into the DAM, standard workflow is launched and after a while inside the repository (see paths) are created following renditions:
    /content/dam/project/image/image.jpg/jcr:content/renditions/cq5dam.thumbnail.140.100.png
    /content/dam/project/image/image.jpg/jcr:content/renditions/cq5dam.thumbnail.319.319.png
    /content/dam/project/image/image.jpg/jcr:content/renditions/cq5dam.thumbnail.48.48.png
    This process can be customized by changing /etc/workflow/models/dam/update_asset.html workflow and modifing "Thumbnail creation" step by adding in the Process tab -> Arguments field new values for new rendition. So for example if you add there [400,400] new rendition will be created in the path
    /content/dam/project/image/image.jpg/jcr:content/renditions/cq5dam.thumbnail.400.400.png
    Next step is to customize jsp for image component. Using path to the drag and dropped image from a component attributes you can easily take all renditions iterating on the /content/dam/project/image/yourimage.jpg/jcr:content/renditions node and then set paths to all renditions in the tag attributes. Then like you wrote using js you can select proper rendition.
    I hope that it hepls you.

  • How to upload images to a DB and then view them in the site?

    Hi
    I have a form, and i want it to insert some data on a DB, so
    that the site can display that information. But i'm not able to
    upload images or files, because dreamweaver does not have a file
    upload option.
    I'm using PHP, can anyone help me on how to upload a image
    and display it on the web site?

    > I don't think its possible to store files in a

    It is. But it's not a great way to do things.
    > store it's path in the DB
    Actually, what you want to store in the DB is the filename
    only. Put the
    path into the HTML. That way you don't have to change every
    record when you
    rename a folder.

  • Uploaded  image not shown

    hello experts,
    I have been done a web java application in struts. Its working fine in my pc, where i have netbeans 6.0 IDE. But when i deployed the war file at client pc, where jdk1.5 and tomcat 5.5.9 are installed, its not showing newly uploaded image but it shows all the images which were present while creating war file from my pc. But the image is uploaded. I upload the images into c:\rh\web\photo and c:\rh\build\web\photo ( unless i place here, i can't able see the newly uploaded image without stopping and running the application). I feel the only difference between client Pc and my Pc is, I run my application using netbeans whereas client pc doesn't have netbeans(rest all it has), through tomcat it runs there.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    SRI.

    You know that HTML runs at the client side?
    You know that file system paths are not the same as URL's?
    You know that file system paths points to the file system of the local machine?
    If you have for example a <img src="c:/foo/bar.gif" /> in your HTML, which is been sent from the server to the client side, the web browser will try to search for "c:/foo/bar.gif" in the local file system. This is obviously not going to work when the image is actually located at the server's file system.
    You need to replace file system paths by URL's, so that the client can retrieve the image from the server. When the image is not available in public domain, then create a servlet which accesses the server's file system and sends the desired image to the response. Finally let the URL of the image point to that servlet, along with some unique ID or filename. You may find this example useful: [http://balusc.blogspot.com/2007/04/imageservlet.html].

  • Uploading Images - Not Working?

    My company updated to the Dreamweaver CC version and I’m having trouble getting the images to upload.  The text and hyperlinks come through, but no new photos.  We are using Dell PCs, Windows 7, and a 64-bit OS.
    Examples:
    http://www.pookandpook.com/categories/moderndesign.php (should be the fourth photo down in the second column - Italian Lucite and Leather Living Room Suite $2,460)
    http://www.pookandpook.com/categories/jewelry.php (Half way down below the green jade brooch – photo for Diamond 14K White Gold Ring $5,904)
    I’m not getting an option to “Check Out” the pages like I used to with the old version of Dreamweaver we were using. The text is there, but it is grayed out and not "clickable."  When I select “Get”, it runs through some things, but nothing opens.  When I double-click it finally opens.  But when I save, nothing is saving to the local view.
    I’m just totally confused that the text is coming up, but not photos.  Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?  I don’t know much about Dreamweaver… I just basically add photos, text, and links to existing pages.
    Someone told me my image folder may be located in the wrong place, but I don't know where the right place is?

    Something isn't quite right with the image paths on those few images.  When I view the page most work and point to ../pookSite.  On the ones that are not working they are showing a path 4 levels deeper ../../../../ .  If you update those paths on the page the problem should be resolved.

  • Upload images & database fields at the same time

    ASP VSBasic dreamweaver 8
    I can browse & upload 2 images to the server using
    aspupload (browse to
    images click upload)
    I can populate the MYSQL database using text fields &
    recordset (enter data
    in fields press save to upload)
    I now need to work out the following on one button click
    Browse & select first image
    Browse and select second image
    Pass the image paths to 2 text fields
    upload the images
    update the database
    I end up with 2 images saved eg (C:\temp\image1.jpg &
    C:\temp\image1.jpg)
    A record in the data base with
    Time
    Date
    "Path to image 1"
    "Path to image 2"
    The reason for the above is to keep the end user interface as
    simple as
    possible therefore the risk of them sending the wrong data is
    reduced
    Cheers
    SteveW

    I'm not sure uploading several files at once is possible. I have yet to see anything like that.

    I have since installed Ilife 11 ->  Iphoto 11

    When I upload images they go to the Dropbox folder
    How do I change the path so they uplaod to the Last Import folder

    Yours answers would be much appreciated.

    That depends on exactly "how" you are "uploading
    Basically you need to select the photos and export to a desktop folder - the user tip on exporting gives details of the options available
    And as a side note do not put your iPhoto library on DropBox - so far it has proven not to work and to damage the iPhoto library - sometimes even the one you your Mac

  • Wordpress http error while uploading images with flash

    Hi guys
    I have a problem with my wordpress blog " bollywood wallpapers ". When I try to upload images with defualt wordpress flash uploader I get "http" error.
    I am having this problem from last 5 months.

    Dear Siva,
    that is indeed strange.
    Still don't know if this could be an issue with your NWDS or the PAR itself.
    So let's do 2 tests
    ===============================================
    TEST NR. 1
    Let's try and check the NWDS first by creating a custom PAR.
    Don't worry, it's easy.
    Just open your NWDS and go to the top menu
    File > New > Project
    Inside the popup window that will open please choose
    Portal Application (on the left) and Create a Portal Application Project (on the right)
    Then give any name you would like (no spaces or dots, etc...)
    You now have a Portal project created on NWDS ( you will see a folder on the left side with your project name)
    Click on that folder with your LEFT mouse button and choose EXPORT
    Choose PAR File
    Choose your Project
    Choose a path where you want your PAR file to be saved. (uncheck the deploy PAR file, but check the include the source code).
    And click Finish.
    Now delete the project you have created (by clicking on the folder with your LEFT mouse button again, but chose DELETE project)
    Now you're ready to re-import the PAR file.
    ===============================================
    TEST NR. 2
    Maybe your standard PAR file that you've downloaded doesn't have the source code included or is corrupted.
    Please try to open it with a ZIP program and check what type of structure/files you have there.
    Have you also checked your NWDS log ?
    You could also share here that log, so that I can better help you.
    Kindest Regards
    /Ricardo
