URGENT! BT line needed for LifeLine Service!
My parents are trying to get a phoneline installed into a new-build bungalow for my Gran who replies on a lifeline pendant. They called in the middle of March to order the phone number to be transferred to the new address only to be told the earliest that it could be done was 28th April! They eventually managed to get someone to agree to 8th April but that date was put back and they were promised 16th April, the day before my Gran was to move home, on that day aparently two engineers were supposed to turn up, because the 2nd engineer arrived before the first, he found initial work hadn't been completed and left the property. We're not sure whether engineers have even turned up as the wiring is already installed and the bungalow was locked. move date has come and gone and still no phoneline despite BT making various excuses. My Mum is at the end of her tether with the constant stream of excuses, today she's received a text message saying that the phone line is now active (the phone is dead) and when calling to report it, she's been told the order has been cancelled.
My Gran relies on lifeline and the lack of a phone means that this is putting her life at risk as well as unneccessary worry for my Mum and stress in trying to deal with the call centres who seem to have a different excuse everytime something is not done. Is there somewhere (preferably in the Uk) we can get in touch with so the phoneline activation can be managed properly as I do believe the overseas call centre staff do not understand and/or do not care about the seriousness of the situation we're in?

Let me try to answer some of your questions:
1) The "Requires Secure Access" attribute of a resource handler controls whether this handler must be accessed/consumed only over SSL (HTTPS). Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service is only offered over SSL, so this attribute does not have any effect on RESTful services deployed in this environment (because secure access is always required and there is no other way). That said, if you want to access such web service from your own APEX instance, your instance must have Oracle Wallet configured with appropriate SSL certificate.
2) The URI parameters are not required. If your web service returns data for many entities (for example, list of employees in employees/), you may not need a parameter. If your web service returns data for one specific entity (for example, details of one employee in employees/{id}), you may want to identify that entity with a URI parameter.
3) You can have many URI parameters, for example: customers/{id}/orders/{order_id}.
4) Yes, these are the same HTTP methods/verbs you would use from PHP.
5) If you are trying this POST example from your own APEX instance (not Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service) and you are trying to access a web service over SSL, then it is likely that the Oracle Wallet used by your instance does not include the required SSL certificate(s), or the Oracle Wallet is not configured at all.
6) I recommend to check RESTful Web Services for the Oracle Database Cloud white paper and Oracle REST Data Services Developers Guide. Oracle REST Data Services is the technology that enables RESTful services in the Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service.
You can certainly create your own web services in the Oracle Database Cloud Schema Service and consume them from the same environment.

Is a NID needed for DSL service?
I just signed up for "High Speed Internet" (aka DSL since FiOS is not yet available in Baltimore city). I am doubtful I will get the promised speeds of Downloads up to 3 Mbps / Uploads up to 768 Kbps because the wiring is so old from the telephone pole to the house that I do not even have a Network Interface Device (NID) on the outside of the house. I should add that I am about to install fresh wire on the inside of the house from where the phone line comes in to the point where the phone line will hook into the modem, so my inside wiring will be fine. Do I have anything to worry about? Will they definitely install a NID for me and redo the wiring from the poll to the house since it is 30+ years old? I should add that I do not have home phone service and do not need it either.
I just called Verizon to try and schedule the DSL technician and the one lady told me they turn on the DSL from a central location and there is no need for the technician to even come to my house so they will not install a NID while another lady told me that the technician will come out to my house and test the signal. I was just trying to be proactive today in calling to set up an appointment when I would actually be home since if they do install an NID they will possibly need access to the interior of my house to hook up my interior wiring to the NID. They wouldn't even let me push back the appt to a few days past the due date and none of my questions were answered.
I have a feeling that no matter what happens, it will be a fight to get them to replace the 30+ year old wiring that comes from the poll to my house. I am just assuming that this wiring is likely not new enough to get me the promised speeds (Downloads up to 3 Mbps / Uploads up to 768 Kbps). Anyone have any insight or advice for me?

My guess is the copper pair is upwards of 70 years old (the house dates from 1926).I had DSL service for about 15 months with Verizon before moving to FiOS. The service to this house long predates NID's.
That's the good news. The bad news was that if I could hear thunder, my DSL service was down, and it also degraded substantially in bad weather. While on good days I could just about get to the 3mbps downlink, 650kbs was about the best I could ever do on the uplink. The modem reported horrendous losses (60+db) on the link, which mean fairly high transmit power on both ends which ultimately may impact modem life.
Anyway once you are installed, you can connect to the router/modem and see what the modem has been able to negotiate with the CO. It will be in the log everytime the DSL connection is initiated.
Ultimately the DSL performance depends upon how good or how bad the copper pair is between your premises and the CO. Even ancient copper can work quite well if the distances are short. -
System processes needed for web service call
Hi experts,
one theoretical question: how about the system processes needed for a web service call? If have created a test service that does nothing except to wait for 10 seconds. When I call it from outside, no extra process is busy (as seen in trx SM50). Is it possible that one web service call (from outside -> SAP machine) does not need a DIA or BTC process on SAP machine?

Of course a web service needs a dialog workprocess to run.
But if you used the "wait" abap instruction, it may be that this instruction frees the work process ?

SVI needed for WiSM service-port?
I currently have a vlan/SVI on my 6506 for the WiSM service-port. The WiSM has an address on the same subnet. To manage the WiSM, I either https to the Management interface address or use 'session slot X proc Y' from the the 6506. Since I am essentially only using two addresses from a subnet for this service-port I would like to free up the subnet. Can I keep my current functionality by having a vlan only (with the wism service-vlan XX command) with no SVI? Thanks.
Yes, correct. You dont have to have this as a SVI. You can just drop them into the vlan with no SVI. So long as the WiSMs have a service port and IP and they are on the same subnet in the same vlan you are good.
After you set this up do a show wism status .. You should see thet are all up.

The issue now is-
The store procedure checks if all print jobs which have the same Fulfillment id (which is kept in PrintJobQueueDI.sessionID) have finished or not;
If not, it will throw exception. The error code is 20004.
What we want as a fix is-

rudisb92075's response was helpful. It was pointing out that we need to have tables and data to work with and not just a piece of unfamiliar code that we are told doesn't work in some way. Without the tables and example data and expected output we could only guess what the problem may be. The OP has also said their issue is urgent, which it isn't as I pointed out to them, but then their response to sb92065's request for tables and data was just to say that they want us to do their work for them and they'll test it. That's not only rude, but also wastes our time as we have to make a guess as to what the problem may be then wait for the OP to test it, to no doubt tell us that it still doesn't work, so we can make another guess.
This is not the way a professional forum works. If the OP wants help with the issue they need to provide relevant information as requested. The fact they seem to keep asking questions and non of them are being marked as answered should be a good indication that they are not asking the questions correctly.
So, before you criticize members as being unhelpful, it is perhaps better if you read what they have requested and understand what they've said.
Therefore, we still await the OP's response providing some useful information to be able to help... -

How can we resolve the following database problems in Windows XP? Originally, we had Oracle 10.1.0.4.2, and we wanted to upgrade it to Oracle 10.2.0.1. -OyA specific ORACLE_HOME holds the binaries for a specific version of Oracle. You don't upgrade by simply installing a newer version of Oracle into the ORACLE_HOME of an older version. If you tried to do that you have probably irreversibly corrupted the original installation.
And there is no URGENT or ASAP here. We are all volunteers with regular jobs. If you have "urgent" support issues you need to open a Service Request with Oracle Support. -
Urgent HELP! need for my Zen touch (20
Right here we go. I bought my zen touch online last year from a well known supplier. Absolutly brilliant mp3 plaey and happy with the value for money i got. The player did freee alot since i got it at inappropiate times eg. When i was on holiday and had nothing to reset it with. Recently i have been experiancing alot of problems. First one is that it froze so i reseted it, all seemed well until the Welcome screen came on and stayed like that for 0 mins and then it resumed back to normal. This has since continued. 2nd problem is every time i add a song from the computer (same process that i have been using since i got it) all seems well until.... i turn the player on select any song to play and the player results in PLAYBACK ERROR. So i reset , the player then freezes for another 0 mins and then is back to normal. This also has continued. And third and finally everytime i reset now i get the message rebulding libary and it is almost done and yet low and behold freezes again for another 0mins. Also i need urgent and quick help as my warrantty runs out in days. PLEASE HELP!!!! and to add to this i have tonight installed a new firmware and still experiance same problem. As igedit says, the player does sound faulty unfortunately, so I would contact Creative Support. -

I'm new to Sun Java Studio, but generally familiar with the technology. So far I managed to build a web service and to register it.
Now I would like to build a simple cmd-line client to invoke this web services. I couldn't find anything in the "documentation" or "tutorial". Does anybody has some sample code?

The tutorial is for NetBeans 5.0 (http://www.netbeans.info/downloads/download.php?type=5.0) but should be applicable for JSE8 (based on NB4.1). -

Try setting up an incompleteness procedure for the document type which will restrict it from moving,if you have an action put the error free tag as the start condition .

Urgent ...Need for function module name.
I have a requirement to print label using smartforms,in transaction VL02N.In which i need to get the name1(ship to information) information at run time as the
user can change the Address in Stock transport order (most likely) or at the Delivery at the run time. We need to find a function module that reads the run time structure data (VTTPVB\name1) and gives us the data.

VTTK and VTTP are the delivery tables here all the details with respect to delivery is stored and retrieved.
To get the name1 and address fields the partner function plays a vital role and thus you can achieve this from VBPA.
By selecting the correct partner function the right information can be retrieved.
The structure contains data only during the transaction or the transaction programs run thus it is not advisible to get data from that so data is usually fetched from Tables.

URGENT - Part is needed for HP6110xi All-In-One
I am unable to locate a new "latch cover door" that covers and holds the printer cartridge in place. The small 'tab' has broken off of the front of this "latch cover door" and am unable to close the door such that it stays closed. Can anyone help with this issue with a part number or help me locate a replacement part please?
There is no cartridge expiration on the Officejet 6110 that would cause it to stop printing in color. The end of warranty date (as shown here) is simply the end of warranty, the cartridge may continue to be used after that date.
There are a few things to check: what happens when you select a color copy? Are there any error messages? Does the printer go through the motions of printing but with a blank page?
