URGENT:Deletion  of Query from QA

I want to delete query from Quality system.
Proposed solution is deleting query in dev and then transporting same to QA.
I am confused little bit if i use RSZDELETE command will it ask for request or i should simply delete query from query deisgner after assigning it to one request.
Please provide me inputs regarding same as soon as possible.
Rahul

Rahul, you cannot Delete the already deleted Object again in Dev. SO, you are getting that error.
You may have inconsistencies between Dev and  QAS. Look at the transport log of the Query. In the Log, it will state if the Query is deleted in QAS or it couldn't.
If you need to re-transport the deletion, don't try to collect the deleted Query again. It won't work. Instead, talk to BASIS and COPY the Transport Request (the already released one with the Query deletion) into a new transport request and move it to BQ3 again.
Also, sit with basis if neede dand analyze the transport log carefully. It will tell you what you need to know.
NOTE: IF you are using the same query in workooks, etc in BQ3, it cannot be deleted. This is a problem, so also go to BQ3 and see a where else you are using the that Query different from DEV.
Good luck

    Hi,
You can get the time stamp( when it was deleted) from table RSRDELREPORTS. Based on that time check with basis guys to get the more info.

  • Delete component query from a super query

    Hi Experts,
I need to delete a component query from a super query. Can Any one give the steps to persue..
    Thanks,
    Pilliga

    Hi,
When you load the super query, the query is displayed in a tree-like structure and the queries are referred to as branches.
In order to remove a component query from the super query, you must first select the parent operation (i.e. join or append), right click and select Delete Operation. You will then be prompted with a dialog box where you can specify to delete either the top or bottom branch (i.e. top or bottom query).
    Cheers,

There you search for the query and delete that only.
Or just double click on the request in which you want to delete. It will shows as Display request, There find out the request with technical name, select it and choose cut, save the request.
    it will delete the request.
    Hope it helps you.

    Hi Vikas,
OSS message 128947 is about items showing up in the due lists when they are not relevant. Try running the program RVV05IVB and see if that fixes it.

  • How to delete a query in Quality System

    Hi,
I would like to delete a ZZ query in Quality sytem directly. I don't have AUTHORIZATION delete using Tcode RSZDELETE. As this particulate query not avaiable in Development system, we can create a transport also.
Is there a way to delete directly in Quality System ?
    Advance Thanks,
    Rathinakumar

    Hi,
If you do not have the authorization then#
goto the BEX (rrmx) and delete the query from there.
you can delete RSZDELETE or delete the entries in RSZCOMPDIR table by giving ur query as parameter.
    also, check this thread:
how to delete a trasonported query?

Use Tcode PFCG and there you can delete th query from the role. Then the query gets deleted only from that role view. Then you can assign it to the new role.

    Hi,
    <u><b>Deleting Adjacent Duplicate Entries</b></u>
To delete adjacent duplicate entries use the following statement:
DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATE ENTRIES FROM <itab>
    [COMPARING <f1> <f2> ...
    |ALL FIELDS].
The system deletes all adjacent duplicate entries from the internal table <itab>. Entries are
duplicate if they fulfill one of the following compare criteria:
Without the COMPARING addition, the contents of the key fields of the table must be
    identical in both lines.
If you use the addition COMPARING <f1> <f2> ... the contents of the specified fields <f1>
<f2> ... must be identical in both lines. You can also specify a field <fi> dynamically as
the contents of a field <ni> in the form (<ni>). If <ni> is empty when the statement is
executed, it is ignored. You can restrict the search to partial fields by
    specifying offset and length.
If you use the addition COMPARING ALL FIELDS the contents of all fields of both lines
    must be identical.
You can use this statement to delete all duplicate entries from an internal table if the table is
sorted by the specified compare criterion.
If at least one line is deleted, the system sets SY-SUBRC to 0, otherwise to 4.
    Examples
    DATA: BEGIN OF LINE,
    COL1 TYPE I,
    COL2 TYPE I,
    END OF LINE.
DATA ITAB LIKE HASHED TABLE OF LINE WITH UNIQUE KEY COL1.
    DO 4 TIMES.
    LINE-COL1 = SY-INDEX.
    LINE-COL2 = SY-INDEX ** 2.
    INSERT LINE INTO TABLE ITAB.
    ENDDO.
    LINE-COL1 = 1.
    DELETE TABLE ITAB: FROM LINE,
    WITH TABLE KEY COL1 = 3.
    LOOP AT ITAB INTO LINE.
    WRITE: / LINE-COL1, LINE-COL2.
    ENDLOOP.
    The output is:
    2    4
    4   16
The program fills a hashed table with a list of square numbers. The DELETE
statement delete the lines from the table where the key field COL1 has the contents 1 or 3.

  • Af:query : Delete duplicate records from results manually

    Hi
I have an ADF page with af:quey on a view object.  I have created a viewcriteria to choose few attributes from the view object.
The view object is created manually using a sql query, where the query has joins to various other tables (it has outer joins too).
On submit, due to one to many relationship in the joins, i am getting duplicate rows in the results.
I am currently using 11.1.1.7.0 jDeveloper (We can't upgrade to upper versions due to other constraints of the project).  I thought the property 'Selected in Query = false' on the view object attribute would fix this problem (to eliminate duplicate rows).  But, i guess, 11.1.1.7.0 don't seem to be supporting this option.
Hence, i was thinking of manually deleting the duplicates from the results of the af:query before displaying it to the user.
Please let me know, if there is a better way to solve the problem, if not, how can i manually remove duplicates from the resultset before displaying the results.
I created a new QueryLIstener method to delete the duplicates, by executing the view object, but it retruns all the records without applying the criteria.  May be i am doing something wrong.
    Please suggest the best way.
    Thanks
    Pradeep

    Hi Frank,
I do have a distinct in my sql but due to 1->M joins i get duplicate rows.  I can avoid it only if i can unselect the attributes in the select.
I like to display the attributes to the user to choose the criteria (which adds as a predicate to the sql).  But I would like to unselect the 1-M attributes from the results, so i get distinct rows as i have mentioned distinct in the sql.
Is there a way to restrict duplicate rows ?
    Thanks
    Pradeep

  • Sending DELETE query from C++ scheduled program

    hi all,
new Oracle user here (experiementing with 10g XE), can anyone help me with how to delete some records from a table from a C++ program? the records to be deleted will all have an expiry date in one column that has a date value older than the current system date
any help will be much appreciated!
    jusef

As Vinendra pointed out you'll probably have to use PRO*C and invoke it from C++.
In PRO*C you'll use a SQL block to execute the delete statement. You can find examples if you search OTN and the internet.

  • Delete many rows from one table at once URGENT

Assume we have table called emp.
    table desription:
    SQL> desc emp

    EMPNO NOT NULL NUMBER(6)
    DIVISION NOT NULL NUMBER(3)
    JOB_NO NOT NULL NUMBER(4)
    START_DATE NOT NULL DATE
    select * from emp;
    EMPNO--------DIVISION--------JOB_NO------------START_DATE

    1111------------------011-------------8181--------------04/10/2004

    3333-----------------022-------------8181--------------06/09/2001
    3333-----------------044-------------8181--------------06/08/1988
    5555-----------------011-------------8066--------------01/01/2001
    6666-----------------033-------------9600--------------01/01/1999
    7777-----------------044-------------8181--------------06/24/1996
    7777-----------------033-------------8181--------------12/02/1991
    7777-----------------033-------------8181--------------03/01/2002
    9999-----------------044-------------9191--------------03/05/1980
    9999-----------------055-------------9191--------------03/06/1989
My goal is to delete employee records for those employee which contains multiple values for JOB_NO
    equal to 8181, (JOB_NO= 8181) with new start_dateS.
We need to keep only one record for JOB_NO 8181 which contains oldest start_date.
Here is the delete statement for the single record.
    delete from emp
    where empno = 7777 and job_no = 8181 and start_date in ('03/01/2002','06/24/1996);
So how could I delete thousands records from the table with this logic?
After deleting multiple records table should be as below:
    select * from emp;
    EMPNO--------DIVISION--------JOB_NO---------START_DATE
    1111-----------------011-------------8181--------------04/10/1999
    2222-----------------011-------------3131--------------05/11/2005
    3333-----------------044-------------8181--------------06/08/1988
    5555-----------------011-------------8066--------------01/01/2001
    6666-----------------033-------------9600--------------01/01/1999
    7777-----------------033-------------8181--------------12/02/1991
    9999-----------------044-------------9191--------------03/05/1980
    9999-----------------055-------------9191--------------03/06/1989

Here's one way to do it. I think this fits your business rules. At least it matches the output for your first example. It uses an analytic. I just like using them.
    SQL> select * from employees;
                   EMPNO             DIVISION               JOB_NO START_DATE
