URGENT - Deployable Web Service Proxy gets an unauthorized message

Hello Guys!
I had developed a <i>deployable web service proxy</i> that is called from a servlet. The web service is secured by a basic authentication. My servlet instantiates the proxy and I set the stub like the code bellow:
Maintenance myMaintenance = (Maintenance)ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/MaintenanceWSProxy");
MaintenanceViDocument port = (MaintenanceViDocument)myMaintenance.getLogicalPort("MaintenancePort_Document", MaintenanceViDocument.class);
port._setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.username", "user");
port._setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.password", "password");
But when I call the servlet, an exception is thrown:
407 - Unauthorized
Somebody knows what is happened?
Thanks a lot!
Best regards,
Marcelo

Hello Marcelo,
i've got an impression that the return error code is related to servlet itself.
Was the servlet deployed as a portal application or as pure j2ee (via SDM or via  portal support page)?
Are you accesing it through portal framework or by a direct link to j2ee application?
If it is an portal application - you need to set security policy for iView or for the application (depends on the way you use it. Via iView or via direct link)
If it is an pure j2ee application, then you can define your security roles within the project. First of all, check those settings. Second step is done in VisualAdmin, where you map objects from UME to your security role defined in project.
hope it helps.

  • JAAS Login Module using Deployable Web Service proxy

    Hi,
    We've created a JAAS Login Module that calls a deployable web service proxy to validate users on Netweaver Portal 2004 SP19. To do this the following steps were taken:
    1) created a deployable web proxy named 'SGU_proxy' and uploaded it to server. This project created 2 files: 'SGU_proxy.ear' (the one uploaded) and 'SGU_proxyClientAPI.jar'.
    2) created a Java project named 'AgregacaoLoginModule' with a single class to authenticate users, this is the class that calls the web service with the username and password. This project references the deployable web proxy project (Properties > Java Build Path > Projects > checkbox marked next to project SGU_proxy).
    3) exported the Java project class, not including the 'SGU_proxyClientAPI.jar'.
    4) created a 'J2EE Server Component' > 'Library' project named 'AgregacaoLoginModuleJ2EE'.
    On the 'provider.xml' file added 2 jars: 'AgregacaoLoginModule.jar' and 'SGU_proxyClientAPI.jar'. References were made to the standard portal libraries. No references were made to the proxy 'SGU_proxy' or the 'AgregacaoLoginModule' project.
    The library was uploaded to the server, everything was ok and no errors were reported.
    The login module was configured on the server and is called when users try to acess Portal server.
    The problem is that when trying to authenticate users: after getting a reference to the proxy using jndi I get a ClassCastException. Note that this proxy is used in a WebDyn Pro application and is working fine.
    The web service client proxy generated the interface 'pt.agregacao.ws.sgu.Servicos' and from jndi I get 'class pt.agregacao.ws.sgu.ServicosImpl'. So this seems to be ok, why the exception?
    Is it necessary to had a reference to 'SGU_proxy' on the 'AgregacaoLoginModuleJ2EE' project? If so, how?
    Thanks in advance.

  • URGENT: Rest web service with get method works fine in browser but not with java client(Android)

    Hi ,
    I have created one REST web service which accepts two parameters send back JSON results.
    I tested the it in browser with URL as http://+Inteernal server+/ords/utimes/login_info?p1=+first_param+&p2=+second_para+
    Web service URL :  http://+Inteernal server+/ords/utimes/login_info?p1={p1}&p2={p2}
    But when java team wants to access it from java code it gives error as "400- Bad Request".
    one more IMP thing : when I test it in RESTful web service by using "set bind variable" , it only set value of first parameter.
    APEX version : 4.2

    Hi Pragya,
    thank you for the update.
    Another question: could you please give us any reference about these corrections you told about? Maybe they could be relevant in our case too.

  • Inbound Web Service calls get error "Reliable Messaging(RM) configured, but no Message ID..."

    We are setting up the Communication System and Communication Arrangement "Business Partner Replication from SAP ERP".
    For protocol, we are using Type 5 - WebServices.  See screenshot below.
    Our error is that when we send webservice calls to our C4C, we get messages:
    1.  Web service response is "Web service processing error; more details in the web service error log on provider side"
    2.  Backend error messages is "SRT: Plain SOAP: Reliable messaging (RM) configured, but no Messaging ID and no WSRM assertion provided"
    We have sent messages from PI and also independently thru soapUI.
    So it seems the C4C in the backend is stuck on the RM messaging protocol setting.
    Appreciate any and all assistance.

    Hi Tim,
    For this error following are the places that needs to be checked.
    1. In C4C the protocol defined in the Communication System should be 5 - Web Services
    2. In C4C Communication Arrangement should have the right protocol selected
    3. In PI make sure the Communication Channel's are created using provided Communication Channel Templates as part of the standard PI content.
    In other words just follow the integration guide available in SMP to avoid such errors.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Prakash

  • Reusing deployable web service proxies

    Hi ,
    I am new to CE 7.1 and am wondering about reusing deployable web service proxies.
    In this link , it is written that
    "The Web service client and the Web service proxy must be in the same EAR and in the same module (EJB or Dynamic Web module)."
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/113a1221337249e10000000a155369/content.htm
    So what if two applications need to use the same deployable web service proxy ? You shouldn't generate 2 proxies. How do both applications use the same deployable proxy ?
    Thank you.

    Thierry,
    If I understand your question correctly, you have two applications (distributed across two or more DCs) and you want to use the same generated Web Service proxies in both the DCs.
    If this is the case and assuming that there are two EJB DCs (one containing the proxies and the other containing the actual WS client implementation) and one deployable App DC (containing reference to the two EJB DCs), then define Public Parts for the proxies and use the same in the required EJB DC. You may refer to my [article |http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/uuid/d00fc143-5878-2c10-6f87-f868c1ae44e6] that explains this concept in a detailed manner.

  • URGENT **** Need help for JAX-RPC Web Service Proxy deploy to OC4J 10.1.3.5

    Hi everyone!
    I’m really new to web services.
    I’m getting a *500 internal server error* while deploying my JAX-RPC web service Proxy to an Oracle AS, in an OC4J, v. 10.1.3.5.0.
    Running my client from my development environment (*jdeveloper 10g, 10.1.3.5.0*) everything functions correctly: from jdeveloper I can contact and use the web service defined by the following endpoint: https://www.medialibrary.it/services/federaMLOL.asmx?WSDL
    I created a "try_ws_client.jsp" file that runs correctly from my local development environment jdeveloper (that uses an embedded oc4j, v. 10.1.3.5.0) but fails when run from the test server (Oracle AS, in an OC4J, v. 10.1.3.5.0), getting, as I mentioned a 500 internal server error, a white page in IE but with FF the message says: The’s an error in the servlet .....
    Here's how I created the ws proxy and how I’m using it to consume the ws I mentioned.
    1. I used the jdeveloper “Create Web Service Proxy” wizard (File > New > Business Tier > Web Services > Web Service Prox) and in the WSDL document URL I put: https://www.medialibrary.it/services/federaMLOL.asmx?WSDL
    2. The operation ended without adding nothing to the web.xml file and creating the proxy files. One of them is: FederaMLOLSoapClient.java that have the WS exposed methods (es: public boolean createUser(String) ) + a “main” method with the example how to use this client to consume the WS.
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    try {
    it.reggiocity.provincia.mlol.proxy.FederaMLOLSoapClient myPort = new it.reggiocity.provincia.mlol.proxy.FederaMLOLSoapClient();
    System.out.println("calling " + myPort.getEndpoint());
    // Add your own code here
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    ex.printStackTrace();
    3. In FederaMLOLSoapClient.java I’ve create the method "tyIt":
    public String tryIt(String username) {
    try {
    it.reggiocity.provincia.mlol.proxy.FederaMLOLSoapClient myPort = new it.reggiocity.provincia.mlol.proxy.FederaMLOLSoapClient();
    if(myPort.createUser(String username)) {
    return “O.K”;
    } else {
    return “K.O”;
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    // logs error
    4. I created my try_ws_client.jsp file that creates FederaMLOLSoapClient object and calls the tryIt method, printing the “OK” or “KO” message.
    <%@ page import="it.reggiocity.provincia.biblioreggiane.*"%>
    <%
    String message = "";
    FederaMLOLSoapClient obj= new FederaMLOLSoapClient( );
    message = obj.tryIt(“AAAAAA70R10H226H”);
    %>
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=windows-1252"%>
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"/>
    <title>prova</title>
    </head>
    <body><%=message%></body>
    </html>
    The situation is:
    My try_ws_client.jsp runs correctly from my jdeveloper and the user is created while creating app.ear and deploying it to my Oracle AS/OC4J as mentioned above, I get a 500 Internal Server Error.
    Any idea to find a solution to this problem?
    Please help.
    Take care.
    John M.

    Hi,
    you want to build the Web Service, or you want to consume the Service as a client? If the latter, Web client (ADF?) or Java client?

  • Web Service Proxy : nullpointer trying to get port

    Hi,
    I created a new web service proxy, by importing an existing WSDL file.
    In my code, I use the following :

  • 11G - XDB Native Web Services - how to create a web service proxy

    Hi,
    I am working on XDB Native web Services (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369/xdb_web_services.htm#CHDDBCHB). I want to create a proxy web service for orawsv service (http://server:port/orawsv?wsdl), which is protected by an user/password
    In Jdeveloper 10133:
    + copy orawsv wsdl (http://server:port/orawsv?wsdl) in local file
    + create a proxy web service form the local wsdl (from the wizard)
    + implement the client (http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/11gr1_db/datamgmt/xmldb2_b/xmldb2_b.htm)
    ==> OK
    In Jdeveloper 11g
    + copy orawsv wsdl (http://server:port/orawsv?wsdl) in local file
    + create a proxy web service form the local wsdl (from the wizard)
    + how to implement the client : there is no method to set a password
    any ideas?
    Thanks for your help,
    Cyryl

    I'm working on getting a proxy web service working in 11g and the contents of this thread is close to answering my question.
    The web service proxy is accessing a service that requires a SOAP Security header.
    In looking at the previous post, I thought that by using the BindingProvider API I could add the security settings. But when I invoke the proxy I consistently get the following error response from the (PeopleSoft) web service: "com.sun.xml.ws.client.ClientTransportException: request requires HTTP authentication: Unauthorized'
    In contrast to that error, when I use JDeveloper's HTTP Analyzer, I get a successful response from the web service. Below is what the raw HTTP looks like:
    POST https://isiswebdev.services.wisc.edu:7002/PSIGW/PeopleSoftServiceListeningConnector HTTP/1.1
    Content-Type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8
    Host: isiswebdev.services.wisc.edu:7002
    SOAPAction: "CI_U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI_G.V2"
    Content-Length: 548
    X-HTTPAnalyzer-Rules: 1
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ns1="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd" xmlns:ns2="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Enterprise/Tools/schemas/M183895.V1">
    <env:Header>
    <ns1:Security>
    <ns1:UsernameToken>
    <ns1:Username>UserName</ns1:Username>
    <ns1:Password>XXXXXXX</ns1:Password>
    </ns1:UsernameToken>
    </ns1:Security>
    </env:Header>
    <env:Body>
    <ns2:Get__CompIntfc__U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI>
    <ns2:EMPLID>012345678912</ns2:EMPLID>
    </ns2:Get__CompIntfc__U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI>
    </env:Body>
    </env:Envelope>
    Here's the Java code that I'm using to try to make the same call:
    public void callIWebservice(String emplId){
    cSA_STDNT_DATA = new CSA_STDNT_DATA();
    CI_U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI_PortType port = cSA_STDNT_DATA.getCI_U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI_Port();
    Map<String, Object> requestContext = ((BindingProvider)port).getRequestContext();
    requestContext.put(BindingProvider.USERNAME_PROPERTY, "UserName");
    requestContext.put(BindingProvider.PASSWORD_PROPERTY,"XXXXXXX");
    GetCompIntfcUFACSASTDTACITypeShape CiType = new GetCompIntfcUFACSASTDTACITypeShape();
    EMPLIDTypeShape emplIDType = new EMPLIDTypeShape();
    emplIDType.setValue(emplId);
    CiType.setEMPLID(emplIDType);
    try {
    GetCompIntfcUFACSASTDTACIResponseTypeShape response = port.getDATA(CiType);
    System.out.println(response.getCUMGPA());
    } catch (M464939V1 e) {
    System.out.println(e.getFaultInfo());
    But, alas, I just get the ClientTransportException.
    Is the Bindingprovider interface the correct way to add the soap security headers? Or am I following the wrong path?
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Web service proxy and data control are not working properly

    Hi,
    I am working on jDeveloper 11.1.1.6
    I have a SOA web service which requires 3 inputs and return with a set of data.
    When I tried testing that web service in soapUI it is working perfect. But when I have created a web service proxy in my application and trying to test it from class (*******_ptClient) main method everytime it is replying with the output null
    Also When I am requesting from the main method SOA is getting proper input (which I am providing in the main method) and SOA is returning proper output I have checked the SOA instance in em. So there is no problem in SOA side.
    After that I have created web service data control and tested in that case also it is not showing any result.
    What could be the problem ?
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi Shay Shmeltzer,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I tried in HTTP Analyzer in JDeveloper and there also it is not working. My concern is :-
    There are many other web services deployed on the same SOA server in same partition and they are working fine in HTTP analyzer and I am able to create and use the web service proxy as well. So as per my understanding there is nothing like network issues between SOA server and jDeveloper.
    1 more thing When I am creating the proxy for this web service and requesting from the proxy's main method SOA is getting proper input (which I am providing in the main method) and SOA is returning proper output I have checked the SOA instance in em. So there is no problem in SOA side. The problem is jDeveloper is not able to get back that response which SOA is returning.
    Please Help.

  • Error creating web service proxy for bpel process in jdev 10.1.3

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a web service proxy in Jdeveloper 10.1.3, and get the following error:
    Element type "fault" is missing required attribute "name"
    I have created a fault on one of the operations, and in the .wsdl file there is a name attribute:
    <operation name="process">
    <fault name="TestError" message="client:TestErrorMessage"/>
    </operation>
    The fault definition in the .wsdl obtained from the process when you access it over http is somewhat different:
    <fault>
    <soap:fault name="TestError" use="literal" encodingStyle="" />
    </fault>
    Any ideas how to workaround this problem?

  • WEB SERVICE PROXY GENERATED USING 11.1.1.5.0 WSDL FAILS WITH 11.1.1.6.0

    I have created a Web Service Proxy project in Jdev using BI Publisher 11.1.1.5.0 WSDL (ReportService). Generated ReportService_Service method uses following QName to get the port:
    namespaceURI = "http://xmlns.oracle.com/oxp/service/v2"
    localPart = "*v2/ReportService*"
    Reports are generated successfully via Web Services when using BI Publisher 11.1.1.5.0 but when I use BI Publisher 11.1.1.6.x, it fails with this exception:
    +'javax.el.ELException: javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: {http://xmlns.oracle.com/oxp/service/v2}v2/ReportService is not a valid port. Valid ports are: {http://xmlns.oracle.com/oxp/service/v2}ReportService'+
    I noticed that if the Web Service Proxy project is created using BI Publisher 1.1.1.1.6.0 WSDL (ReportService), the generated ReportService_Service method uses following QName to get the port:
    namespaceURI = "http://xmlns.oracle.com/oxp/service/v2"
    localPart = "*ReportService*"
    We are supporting both 11.1.1.5.0 and 11.1.1.6.x, so is there a way to make it work with both.
    FYI, I have tried removing v2 but then it only works with 11.1.1.6.0 and fails with 11.1.1.5.0.
    +Caused By: javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: {http://xmlns.oracle.com/oxp/service/v2}ReportService is not a valid port. Valid ports are: {http://xmlns.oracle.com/oxp/service/*v2}v2/*ReportService+

    Dear,
    found the solution (after trying last 1-2 days ...).
    I was already using java 1.7 update 7.
    I had to start java settings and to deselect Java 1.7.0_07.
    Instead I selected latest Java version from Apple: 1.6.0_35-b10-428.
    With these settings the installer finishes without crash.
    Kind regards

  • Web service proxy receiving single element in array

    I've generated a web service proxy over a web service and expect to get multiple elements returned from the web service. However when I excute the proxy I receive only the first element. Testing the web service with the same parameters on the application server shows that I should be receiving 3 elements in total. Not sure where the disconnect is in generating the response message within the proxy. Any suggestions is appreciated.

    Are you looking for SOAP ENC Array feature? Which version are you using 10134 or 11g?

  • Web Service Proxy not returning Response in 11g

    Hi,
    I am facing a difference in the creation of Web Service Proxy in 11g when compared to 10g. I have exposure of creating a Web Service Proxy in 10g and I do observe that the folder name 'runtime' gets generated automatically along with the proxy at the time of creation.
    But in 11g, the nature & behavior of Web Service Proxy creation has changed a lot according to my observation. I am facing an issue where the response object is not returning the expected results as per the functionality.
    In 10g, we have used a Stub class (automatically created under 'runtime' folder) and we are able to put some logs to see the request and response object in the form of 'xml'. But in 11g, I am facing difficulty in getting the same logged to see the response from OPA.
    Please share your thoughts which would definitely help me in resolving this issue.

    Hi,
    I have also tried using 'Web Service Data Control' as an alternate method to overcome the above mentioned issue. But I have ended up the error "DCA-29000: Unexpected exception caught: java.lang.NullPointerException,msg=null" and failed to create a data control.
    The JDeveloper version which I am using is 11.1.1.5.0. I also came to know that there is a patch (9790388) which has resolved this bug in JDeveloper. I also applied the same patch in my Oracle Home using OPatch utility.
    But unfortunatley, the version suitable for this patch is 11.1.1.4.0 and I suspected that could be one of the reason that the problem has not got resolved yet.
    Please suggest the patch or any solution which can also help me in resolving this issue. I really appreciate your time and effort in sharing your thoughts for the problems which I have mentioned over here.
    Thank you !!!
