Urgent : Flash CC File is corrupted, symbol (movie clip) are empty, use count : 0 . ONE week of work lost, need help!

Hello,
I have been working on a Flash File with a lot of animations / symbols etc, and on thursday (during the Adobe Update), when I opened my file, all the symbol (movie clip) are empty, use count : 0.
The size of the file is still the same though, 35mo.
I had only this file, I really need help to repair it...
Please let me know if you have a solution.

Can you please share the file which got corrupted?
Was the original file created in older version(CS6 and below) of Flash?
Were you trying to open the file in Flash CS6?
Did your original file had symbol names containing | : ; & * , etc.characters or leading/trailing spaces?

    I'm attempting to attach Flash's UIScrollbar component to a movie clip so I can scroll graphics, pdf links and a series of flv files. I know how to attach the scrollbar to a dynamic text field (drag and drop) and have tried similar processes with the mc but no luck.     Does anyone know why the movie clips are non animated when I export my flash animation into a video format ?

    You must need a suitable codec for that like DivX codec, it will also import the nested movieclip animations. otherwise  whatever you have on the main timeline is exported for avi. you will get the codec on the export settings for avi.

    Yes, the Old Master file has a folder for each year where I find all photos from that specific year. I am attaching a screen shot of the file.
    In the meantime i have managed to download all photos (it did not download any video files though in mpg, avi, 3gp, m4v,mp4 and mov format) to a new iphoto library. Unfortunately the photos are quite mixed and often doubled up. I ma considering to purchase iphoto library which checks all duplicates in iphoto. this will save me a lot of time. What do you think?

  • IMovie HD refuses to import .MOV clips that it used to import.

    I've got an odd problem. Doing a search didn't turn up anything relevant to my situation so I'm gonna try to pick some brains on here.
    My Problem: My version of iMovie(5.0.2) no longer recognizes .mov clips that it used to. Meaning that when I try to import clips using settings that worked previously, I am now confronted with an Error during import message that reads "The file could not be imported: Unknown Error". Two things have changed since I last made a project.
    1.) I have added a microphone that now allows me to record stereo audio. I don't think this is the culprit.
    2.) I updated to 10.6.6 Recently. I think this may be what messed things up.
    After trying to Drag and also import clips through the menu with no success, I tried to import clips that I have used before under the exact same conditions and was greeted with the same error. This is importing using the HDV 720p setting. If I try to import new or old clips using the standard DV (16:9) setting then everything works.
    These same clips are able to be imported into iMovie '09 with no trouble but I am uncomfortable with that interface. Is there anything I can do to continue to work in iMovie HD or would I just be better off with getting used to iMovie 09?

    I have Mac 10.6.6 and use iMovie 05 transferring it to iDVD 08. It is getting less easy to do, but usually i make the movie in 05, complete with chapter marking and press the export to DVD.
    The file for the Movie I have made is saved automatically in the Movie folder on my owner/home page. To get it out to iDVD 08 open 08 and select create new project and click save This puts a small file into Documents, However to get your work into the new DVD select import>video and when the screen opens for you to find it go to your movie folder in your owners area and click to open the file. It works, but there is usually a problem somewhere along the line. Usually a different one each time, occasionally it goes like clockwork. It won't work if you try the drop down 'open' option.
    This last time I got so irritated that I've downloaded the last set of film clips to 05 and then transferred them to 08 to compare the results. I still feel that the later versions are less good (?dumbed down) and await to be converted.

    I checked the names and they are all correct...(I named one of the instances img instead of image, but it is all fine.
    The movie clips are simple...They have a stop action in the first frame, and then it is just an image that fads in and fades out..
    Pretty simple?
    The code looks fine, so I can't figure out, why the movie clip that is currently playing doesn't stop, when another button is activated.
    It seems like is should work??

    I tried to attach movie clips to scrollPane using attachMovie
    but could not do it

    The code is correct....
    But, what i want to know is, are using the Identifier name of
    the moviclips ???
    "emptyMovieClip" should be an Ideintifier name for an empty
    clip in the library.
    and "boxesRow" should refer an identifier name of another
    movie clip in the library...(its should also contain some object
    for the visibility check)...

    I work for with Flash CS5 for an advertising company. We make banners and my job is to animate them. Lately I have been having a weird issue.
    When I work on a flash file all is well, I save export and all, but later when I come back to the file for modifications some of my elements are  disappearing?! Most of the elements are imported from illustrator CS5 and they seem OK when I leave but when I come back I see just empty Movie-Clips.Things seem to disappear without any logic, for example some text layers can disappear while some don’t.
    This issue is frustrating since it's causing much work and I would really love to resolve it.
    Can anyone guide me as to what I should do. I will gladly provide any info needed.

    that's a task much easier to do using actionscript rather than use the timeline.  each location or parent location (if you want one parent for retail and one for residential etc) could have two keyframes.  one for highlighted locations, the other for non-highlighted.  you can timeline tween between the two keyframes, if you want.
    your main timeline would not change frames.  clicking the retail toggle button would cause all retail locations to tween to the highlighted frame.  clicking it again, it should cause the retail locations to tween to the non-highlighted frame.
    likewise for you other buttons and other locations.
    this setup will remove the complications caused by having various combinations of buttons toggled on and off.

  • Exporting Flash Files (which contain embedded movie clips) to Quicktime!

    Since the recent Quicktime upgrade to 7.1.3 I have had trouble with the
    animations I've made in Flash and exported to Quicktime. Most of the time,
    my flash animations require flash movie clips embeded in the flash timeline.
    In the past, when I have exported these flash animations as Quicktime files,
    there is no problems, but now, since the upgrade, the export does not play
    back properly, and it is obvious that Quicktime is unhappy with these
    embedded clips within the flash timeline. Is there a way around this
    problem? A way for me to maintain embedded movie clips in my timeline and
    still export a working Quicktime file!?!

    I've never mastered Flash but I know a lot about how QuickTime works.
    I do know that some Flash features are limited to specific "publish" versions and some newer ones are not supported in older publish states.
    Could you export two files (background and focus object) and test the actions?
    QuickTime uses "layers" (lower layer numbers are on the "top"). Adding multiple layers to a .mov file is easy with Pro but Flash tracks that contain mouse actions must be on the top layer. If the track layer is behind another it may still appear (via transparency) but not be able to hold mouse actions.

  • Not all my movie clips are showing up on the stage or playing

    II have 8 movie clips in 8 separate layers on my stage; they
    are set to play one after the other. First problem - even though i
    can see them all on the stage in my Flash document, when i test the
    movie, only the first 5 clips are visible, and these are the only
    ones that play through.
    why aren't the other 3 even showing up??
