Urgent Help on C++ XML Parser (xdk_cpp_9_0_1_0_0.zip)

Hi,
Iam using the above said parser to parse an XML & XSL File.
My code looks like this...
XMLParser xmlpar;
While initialising the XMLParser
ecode = xmlpar.xmlinit();
xmlinit() function is returning an error code saying 201 (XMLERR_BAD_ENCODING).
I want to know more about this error & I need u r kind help in debugging this ...
Iam using VC 6.0 IDE ... and have created an project using Win32 Console Application project type.
Thanks in Advance,
Raj.

Thanks a Ton. XMLInit worked and is working Fine.
But ... in this statement
ecode = xmlpar.xmlparse((oratext *) xmlFile, (oratext *) 0, flags);
while initialising the xmlFile using the xmlparse function eventhough the file is present in the directory it is giving error 202. The message is ...
LPX-00202:Message 202 not found; No message file for product=XDK, facility=LPX
I have set all the environment variables like
set ORA_NLS33=E:\Oracle\nlsdata
set ORACLE_HOME=E:\Oracle
set ORA_XML_MESG=E:\Oracle\xdk\mesg
Please let me know if I have missed out something ...
Thanks in Advance
Raj.

    Hi,
    if you want to transform something to something else, you should declare, what is your source.
    I would prefer to use plain XSL-Transformations, because you have a lot more options to transform your source and you can even better determine, how your output should looks like.
    Kind regards,

    Regards
    Raju G

    Well first up all create a parser class where u parse the document using DOm and get the id node and assigen it to a String sat str.
    Now whatever processiong u want to do , u write in a separate class (say Process.java) in one method say doProcess(String str)
    Now from parser class u just call the doProcess() method with passing str as a parameter.
    eg.
    Process p = new Process();
    p.doProcess(str);
    Hope this will help u.

  • Urgent help for processing XML stream read from a JAR file

    Hi, everyone,
         Urgently need your help!
         I am reading an XML config file from a jar file. It can print out the result well when I use the following code:
    ===============================================
    InputStream is = getClass().getResourceAsStream("conf/config.xml");
    BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(is));
    String line;
    while ((line = br.readLine()) != null) {
    System.out.println(line); // It works fine here, which means that the inputstream is correct
    // process the XML stream I read from above
    NodeIterator ni = processXPath("//grid/gridinfo", is);
    Below is the processXPath() function I have written:
    public static NodeIterator processXPath(String xpath, InputStream byteStream) throws Exception {
    // Set up a DOM tree to query.
    InputSource in = new InputSource(byteStream);
    DocumentBuilderFactory dfactory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
    dfactory.setNamespaceAware(true);
    Document doc = dfactory.newDocumentBuilder().parse(in);
    // Use the simple XPath API to select a nodeIterator.
    System.out.println("Querying DOM using " + xpath);
    NodeIterator ni = XPathAPI.selectNodeIterator(doc, xpath);
    return ni;
    It gives me so much errors:

    org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The root element is required in a well-formed document.This often means that the parser can't find the document. You think it should be able to find the document because your test code could. However if your test code was not in the same package as your real (failing) code, your test is no good because getResourceAsStream("conf/config.xml") is looking for that file name relative to the package of the class that contains that line of code.
    If your test code wasn't in any package, put a slash before the filename and see if that works.

  • Immediate help needed with XML Parser

    I am currently running Oracle 8i and trying to use the XML utilities. Just to make sure things are working, I tried a very simple program. I followed the xslsample.sql code that was supplied by Oracle. Code is as follows:
    declare
    p xmlparser.parser;
    begin
    p := xmlparser.newparser;
    end;
    When the code executes, I get a PLS-00201: identifier 'XMLPARSER.PARSER' must be declared. Anyone have any ideas on what is going on and how to fix it? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. You can email directly if you wish since I am really under a tight timeline to get these utilities to work correctly.

    Michael,
    Seems to be some problem with privileges. XMLPARSER is owned by SYS. You will need to grant execute access from SYS to the user under which you are trying to compile the procedure. It might be useful to create a public synonym and then grant access.
    Hope this helps.

  • Urgent help importing an XML file

    Hi all,
    I'm currently exporting my XML files from Magento, the webshop client. However I cannot use the XML task in ETL because I get the error about namedspaces. I can open the XML file itself no problem, it contains a few columns with data, some empty values.
    What I do to solve the error is create the script in ETL that converts the XML file so that I can make the SDX schema. The ETL script itself works
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"         xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
      <xsl:output method="xml" indent="no" />
      <xsl:template match="/|comment()|processing-instruction()">
        <xsl:copy>
          <xsl:apply-templates />
        </xsl:copy>
      </xsl:template>
      <xsl:template match="*">
        <xsl:element name="{local-name()}">
          <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()" />
        </xsl:element>
      </xsl:template>
      <xsl:template match="@*">
        <xsl:attribute name="{local-name()}">
          <xsl:value-of select="." />
        </xsl:attribute>
      </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    But when I open the newly created file he looks really odd: See below for the initial file and the new file (based on how many times I open the file, i get another weird look...). Please help me out it's killing me :)

    Or you can apply a XSLT transform as per http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mattm/archive/2007/12/15/xml-source-making-things-easier-with-xslt.aspx

  • Urgent help in searching XML docs

    Hi All,
    I have started using JDOM and created a XML document after reading the contents from a text file. Now i need to implement a search facility on this XML document. The structure of my XML document is given bellow
    <Company ID="C1">
      <Name>aa</Name>
      <Address>qq</Address>
      <Contact_Person>ww</Contact_Person>
      <Designation>ee</Designation>
      <Phone>123</Phone>
      <Fax>456</Fax>
      <EMail>acd</EMail>
      <Website>axc</Website>
      <Business_Type>hfs</Business_Type>
      <Operation_Areas>khgd</Operation_Areas>
      <Other_Info>csbdcks</Other_Info>
    </Company>There are similar company nodes having information about different companies.
    The search criteria can be based on any one node e.g search companies by <Location> or <Business_Type> etc. I am planning to use XSL and pass the search parameters. Is the approach right?? Could someone guide me with some code examples .
    Thanks in advance..
    Nilotpal

    If you want to search information in a JDom object, you can use XPath with Jaxen: http://www.jaxen.org/
    I never used Jaxen, so I can't help you.
    But with XPath you can implement many search facilities.

    Hi !!
    Please make use of the below code,

              SimpleDateFormat parse = new SimpleDateFormat("MM/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss");
              Date date = new Date(dateTime);
              String formatedDate = parse.format(date);
              System.out.println(formatedDate);I can't help myself I'm going to have to comment.
    To basharf,
    Please do NOT use that example at least not this part of it.
    String dateTime = "7/10/1996 4:50:00 PM";
    Date date = new Date(dateTime);The Date constructor that takes a String is deprecated. It was deprecated sometime in the previous century. Why anybody ever thought that was a good idea is beyond me. But that's a rant for another day. As I think you realize, SimpleDateFormat.parse is a better way to create a Date from a formatted String.

  • Urgent, Help on conversion: xml to flat file

    Dear experts,
    Here is the scenario, XML FILE ->XI-> JMS
    In JMS recevier side, we use localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean to convert xml to flat file.
    Transform.Class: com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.Conversion
    Transform.ContentType: text/plain;charset=utf-8
    xml.conversionType: SimpleXML2Plain
    xml.fieldFixedLengths: 5,20,5,8
    When input source xml file contents are non-unicode, it works fine.
    But when the contents contain unicode characters such as Chinese word,  it works but with wrong length in the output flat file. It seems xi treat one Chinese word length is 1. Actually, one chinese word should take 2 bytes.
    My question is how to make XI handle unicode characters  with correct lengths while conversing to flat file.
    Thanks in advance.

    Jai Shankar
    Thanks for your response.
    I am already using the standard adapter modules provided by SAP:
    localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean
    Transform.Class: com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.Conversion
    My input file's encoding is UTF-8
    "You need to change the encoding scheme according to your input file" , do you mean change the output file's encoding or else?
    I can't find the article you mentioned: "Encoding schemes in XI", Would you please give me the link?
    Thanks a lot.

  • Urgent help needed please, with parse error message

    Hi. I've got a page which comes at the end of a 3 page sequence - search, results, detail. The detail page had been working fine, but yesterday I added a second recordset to the page, to pull reviews from a separate table, and now I'm getting the following error:

    line 78 is:

      $Parampractice_id_WADApracticelist = (get_magic_quotes_gpc()) ?  : addslashes();
    and the full code for the page is posted below. I've googled this error and found a variety of different reasons for why this might be happening but none of the examples I've seen appear to apply to my case, so I'd really appreciate any assistance anyone can offer with this. Thanks in advance.

    I haven't studied your code in detail, but it looks very much as though you have been editing the page without properly removing server behaviors through the Server Behaviors panel. Look at the following section:
    <?php require_once('Connections/connGVG.php'); ?>
    <?php require_once('Connections/connGVG.php'); ?>
    <?php
    if (!function_exists("GetSQLValueString")) {
    function GetSQLValueString($theValue, $theType, $theDefinedValue = "", $theNotDefinedValue = "")
      $theValue = get_magic_quotes_gpc() ? stripslashes($theValue) : $theValue;
      $theValue = function_exists("mysql_real_escape_string") ? mysql_real_escape_string($theValue) : mysql_escape_string($theValue);
      switch ($theType) {
        case "text":
          $theValue = ($theValue != "") ? "'" . $theValue . "'" : "NULL";
          break;
        case "long":
        case "int":
          $theValue = ($theValue != "") ? intval($theValue) : "NULL";
          break;
        case "double":

          break;
        case "defined":
          $theValue = ($theValue != "") ? $theDefinedValue : $theNotDefinedValue;
          break;
      return $theValue;
    if (!function_exists("GetSQLValueString")) {
    function GetSQLValueString($theValue, $theType, $theDefinedValue = "", $theNotDefinedValue = "")
      $theValue = get_magic_quotes_gpc() ? stripslashes($theValue) : $theValue;
      $theValue = function_exists("mysql_real_escape_string") ? mysql_real_escape_string($theValue) : mysql_escape_string($theValue);
      switch ($theType) {
        case "text":
          $theValue = ($theValue != "") ? "'" . $theValue . "'" : "NULL";
          break;
        case "long":
        case "int":

          break;

          break;
        case "date":
          $theValue = ($theValue != "") ? "'" . $theValue . "'" : "NULL";
          break;
        case "defined":
          $theValue = ($theValue != "") ? $theDefinedValue : $theNotDefinedValue;
          break;
      return $theValue;
    ?>
    You have the connection file attached twice, and the GetSQLValueString() function is defined twice. However, the cause of all your problems lies here:
    $Parampractice_WADApracticelist = "-1";if (isset($_GET['practice_id'])) {
      $Parampractice_WADApracticelist = (get_magic_quotes_gpc()) ? $_GET['practice_id'] : addslashes($_GET['practice_id']);
    $ParamSessionpractice_WADApracticelist = "-1";
    if (isset($_SESSION['WADA_Insert_practicelist'])) {
      $ParamSessionpractice_WADApracticelist = (get_magic_quotes_gpc()) ? $_SESSION['WADA_Insert_practicelist'] : addslashes($_SESSION['WADA_Insert_practicelist']);
    $Parampractice_WADApracticelist = "-1";
    if (isset($_GET['practice_id'])) {
      $Parampractice_WADApracticelist = (get_magic_quotes_gpc()) ? $_GET['practice_id'] : addslashes($_GET['practice_id']);
    $Parampractice_id_WADApracticelist = "-1";
    if (isset()) {
      $Parampractice_id_WADApracticelist = (get_magic_quotes_gpc()) ?  : addslashes();
    $Parampractice_id2_WADApracticelist = "-1";
    if (isset()) {
      $Parampractice_id2_WADApracticelist = (get_magic_quotes_gpc()) ?  : addslashes();
    $ParamSessionpractice_id_WADApracticelist = "-1";
    if (isset()) {
      $ParamSessionpractice_id_WADApracticelist = (get_magic_quotes_gpc()) ?  : addslashes();
    mysql_select_db($database_connGVG, $connGVG);
    Look how many times the same code is repeated. What's causing the problem are the three final sections where there is no argument passed to isset().
    Delete the code highlighted in red.

    Hello All!
    I'm just getting started with Flash Builder 4 and BlazeDS and I'm having this same issue.     I have installed the FlashBuilder 4 beta 2  Build 253292, and Blaze 4  ( blazeds-turnkey-4.0.0.14341 ).       I have also installed the livecycle_dataservices3_modelerplugin_100509.      Upon clicking Data-Connect to data/service and then Blazeds,   I can see my DAO object listed.   However, if I select it I receive the dreaded error.       Now if I code in the remote object manually, in the  .mxml file and run it, all works just fine.        It's only while trying to use the object within Flashbuilder that I have the problem.     I see lots of ideas kicked around for this, and it seems that various solutions have worked for different users.    Can somebody put together a 'cookbook' of just exactly how to set things up to make this work?
    Thanks

    No, it is an html file. For test purpose I've taken

  • XML Parsing error: not well-formed (invalid token) (error code 4) --- Urgent Help Needed!

    Hi all, what im doing now is im trying to create a database connection my my MS SQL 2005 database. I created a data source and went to my Adobe Lifecycle Designer 7.1, i created a new data connection, selected OLEDB and created the connection string using the build function.
    Ok, now the problem is, after creating the new data connection and i click on the preview tab, i will receive the error stated above.
    'XML Parsing error: not well-formed (invalid token) (error code 4), line 444, column 1 of file'
    Does anyone know why am i receiving this error and how do i go about solving this?
    I need this database connection to pre-fill my form when the user downloads the form =(

    I have a vital form that clients fill out, which is passed to many people in the company along the workflow. The form is a Planner and we have in the following PDF, Word Doc..
    Well before, the Planner.pdf was originally created in Word, since most people have access to Word.. but evolved to a PDF form created from the Word Doc via Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0 w/ User Rights enabled so that the form could be filled out and saved using Adobe Reader.. which was a step better than Word.. being that it is free. But this needed to be easier and more to the point b/c some clients don't particularly like installing the latest version of Reader, even if you provide them the link. Nor do they like saving the form, filling the form, and attaching the form to send back.
    My goal is to have the client fill an HTML version of the form, submit and be done with it, but everyone in the workflow be able to easily receive the filled Planner as a PDF form.
    So some months ago I ran into this post Chris Trip, "Populate Livecycle PDF from mySQL database using PHP" #8, 22 Sep 2007 4:37 pm
    which uses the command line Win32 pdftk.exe to merge an FDF file into an existing PDF on the remote server, and serve this to whoever.
    My problem was with shared hosting and having the ability to use the Win32 pdftk.exe along with PHP which is predominantly used on Linux boxes. And we used a Linux box.
    so i created the following unorthodox method, which a client fills the HTML version of the Planner, all field values are INSERTED into a table in MySQL DB, I and all filled planners that have been filled by clients to date can be viewed from a repository page where an XML file is served up of the corresponding client, but someone would have to have Acrobat Professional, to import the form data from the XML file into a blank form.. altoughh this is simple for me.. I have the PHP file already created so that when a Planner is filled and client submits. >> the an email is sent to me with a table row from the repository of the client name, #, email, and a link to d-load the XML file,
    But I also have the PHP files created so that the Planner can be sent to by email to various people in the workflow with certain fileds ommitted they they do not need to see, but instead of the XML file beiong served up i need the filled PDF Planner to be served.
    I can do this locally with ease on a testing server, but I am currently trying to use another host that uses cross-platform compatibility so i can use PHP and the pdftk.exe to achieve this, as that is why I am having to serve up an XML file b/c we use a Linux server for our website, and cant execute the exe.
    Now that I am testing the other server (cross-platform host), just to use them to do the PDF handling (and it's only $5 per month) I am having problems with getting READ, WRITE, EXECUTE permissions..
    Si guess a good question to ask is can PHP do the same procedure as the pdftk.exe, and i can eleminate it.
    or how in the heck can i get this data from the DB into a blank PDF form, like i have described??
