Urgent: Help Reqd for outfile

Hi,
My Oracle version is 10g and I am using SQL Plus.
When I use command:
select * from emp into outfile 'e1.txt';
it gives me error:
ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
I have tried all the possible options but none work.
Please help me solve it,

                         is not a command
a SELECT statement with an INTO clause is to be used with a PL/SQL. those what you see on the INTO clause are all variables that are declared in PL/SQL code. basically the correct syntax is
select [column,...] into [variable,...] from [table]
anyway where do you happen to get the idea that the OUTFILE is an oracle command?

Urgent: Help reqd for designing layout

Hi,
I need some assistance is designing following scenario:
How to have a calculated column in the layout?
Consider a cost center group A having 3 cost centers rolled up under it. First amount is planned for group and then distributed either manually or using function to each of the 3 cost centers.
1. Now in the layout I want a column which shows % for each cost center of the total amount. Ex: if cost center group A = $300 and each cost center has $100 in it then for which cost center it should show 33.33%.
2. Also not if this % value is changed then figures should change accordingly. Ex: if for 1 cost center 33.33% is changed to 25% then now its amount should change to $75 and $25 should go to not assigned.
Note: there is no key figure in the cube which stores this % value. It is something which is required only during planning.
How can I achieve the above scenario?

Define the key figure for the percentage and include in the layout as a display column; write a fox formula to derive the % and when you run the fox, the comparison colum will be displayed automatically.
For examaple:
= * .80.
If your percentage varies per cost centre, then define a variable of type numeric value and use VARV command to get the variable value.

Urgent Help Reqd: Delta Problem....!!!

Hi Experts,
Urgent help reqd regarding follwoing scenario:
I am getting delta to ODS 1 (infosource : 2LIS_12_VCHDR) from R/3. Now this ODS1 gives delta to Cube1. I got one error record which fails when going to cube (due to master data check).And this record would be edited later.
So I thought of re loading cube and using error handling to split request in PSA and load valid records in cube.Later when I have coorect info abt error, I would load erroneous record manually using PSA.
I did following steps:
1)Failed request is not in cube...(setting is PSA and then into target)....also it has been deleted from PSA.
2)Remove data status from source ODS1.
3)Change error handling in infopackage to valid " Valid records update, reporting possible".
4)start loading of cube.
But when I did this I got following message :
<b> "Last delta update is not yet completed.Therefore, no new delta update is possible.You can start the request again if the last delta request is red or green in the monitor"</b>
But both my requests in cube and ODS are Green...no request is in yellow...!!
Now the problem is :
1) I have lost ODS data mart status
2)how to load valid records to cube, since errorneous record can be edited only after 3- 4 days.
3)How not to affect delta load of tomorrow.
Please guide and help me in this.

I apolgize and I have modified the message above..
I just checked in cube...there is no failed request for today...and neither in PSA....Person who has handed this to me may have deleted this is PSA..and why req is not in failed state in cube...I am not sure..though setting is "PSA and then into data package".....
So how to go frm here....

Urgent help needed for XML Tags using XMLForest()

I need some urgent help regarding getting use defined tag in your

Hi,
if you want to transform something to something else, you should declare, what is your source.
I would prefer to use plain XSL-Transformations, because you have a lot more options to transform your source and you can even better determine, how your output should looks like.

Urgent Help Required for Connect Four Game

Hi all,
I am a student and I have a project due 20th of this month, I mean May 20, 2007 after 8 days. The project is about creating a Connect Four Game. I have found some code examples on the internet which helped me little bit. But there are lot of problems I am facing developing the whole game. I have drawn the Board and the two players can play. The players numbers can fill the board, but I have problem implementing the winner for the game. I need to implement the hasWon() method for Horizontal win, Vertical win and Diagonal win. I also found some code examples on the net but I was unable to make it working. I have 5 classes and one interface which I m implementing. The main problem is how to implement the hasWon() method in the PlayGame class below with Horizontal, vertical and diagonal moves.
Sorry there is so much code.

Urgent help needed for hysterical female!

I need urgent help in editing a pic that has been emailed to me, I do not know which Adobe programme to upload it too. Currently use Picasso - usually brilliant, but now gets jammed with a pop up box asking me to either accept or deny picnik. When I googled picnik, it now belongs to Google - don't know how to do a damn thing now!! Extremely Frustrated, can anybody suggest/help me

The only Adobe program I know that can edit images is Photoshop.
If you have troubles with Google software, you need to post in the appropriate Google forum.

i need help urgently...i havea legal case comming up shortly and need my sms messages from my old lawyer off my phone for the court. as they will be evidence, and i cannot find a way to do this i need them on to a sim. how do i do this please. i do not have BIS service so i cannot send them like that....Help please thanks

I haven't figured out how to get them onto your SIM card yet - but it may be a good idea for you to "back them up" by marking them all "saved." They would then be more secure

countTokens() should have been called before the while loop.
so, System.out.println("Count is " +st.countTokens()); should be place before the while loop or create
a local int variable to store the count and use the variable in the
System.out.println("Count is " + count);
The reason why you're not getting the proper count is this:
    In the while loop..you use nextToken()..when this method is called..countToken() method count the total
    number of token left; therefore...after the while loop..countToken() will always return ZERO.
    you should use the String split(String regex) function, if you are using the jdsk 1.4 or higher.

Help reqd for USER EXIT - VA01

Hi all,
i've the details of lists regarding the VA01 std enhancement assignment....but really i dont know which one'll be applicable for my USER Exit object....
My client requiremnet is...In VA01 or VA02
The enduser will be able to create/do the line items upto the line 4th (POSNR -004).means,we shuld restrict the line items as a maximum of 4 only and it has to throw an error if going for 5th line item and revert back to main .
which is the std enhancement/exit for this to declare in CMOD....the exact one
,i need.
If anyone has faced the same creiteria,then pls post ur comments here in detail,else if any knows the exit name,pls reply here on urgent basis.

I have this query ..This query does the FULL TABLE SCAN .....PLEASE Suggest some easier way to optimize this query.....I need it VERY VERY URGENTLY....

Be sure you have statistics collected on the table. Anyway, I am not sure that Oracle will not do the FTS for this query even if curve_id and curve_date are indexed.

Urgent Help Needed for WVC210 camera setup :)

Please help! I am trying to set up a Cisco WVC210 surveilance camera at one of the stores owned by the company I work for. Its a small business and I am the closest they have to an I.T person !! I have plenty of experience with software but not much on networking so need some idiot proof guidance ! The "administrative guide" is not worth the paper it is printed on!!
The store has a fixed IP address of 212.9.##.### I connected the camera using ethernet cable. Set the camera up using the software for the camera, with static ip address of 192.168.0.23. Set the SSID of the camera to that of the router (a Netgear one). It worked fine. I went to unplug so I could have it wireless and NOTHING !! It did work one time (no idea what i did differently!) but it would not work over the internet which is what we need it to do! I need the whole thing password protected too!
Is there ANYONE who can help me please??? I am at the point of running away from my work and never returning !!!! :s

Thank you for posting. In order to make the camera connect wirelessly, first set up the wireless settings in the camera to match the router. I usually open the router configuration page and copy and paste the SSID and Security Passphrase to the camera to avoid error. The next step is to unplug the ethernet cable and power cord from the camera. Then plug only the power back in and the camera should connect wirelessly.
For remote access to the camera you will need to forward port 80 to the LAN IP address of the camera. (192.168.0.23) This is done in the router. If you need help with port forwarding, you can search the web or call Netgear for assistance.

I have the Java Code which used to work well in Oracle 8 and Sybase ..
When I am using it with Oracle 9.2 it creating a problem...
The code is

When I retrieve is using above getJDatetime
it get retrieved as
2003-06-18 16:51:06.0
Which is ok since Milliseconds are lost....
Now in Oracle 9
When I use the convert
Date d= new Date(ts.getTime() + (ts.getNanos()/1000000));
It get converted to
Original Value While Inserting -->TimeStamp in JResultSet->2003-06-18 18:15:56.42
Date in JResultSet-->Wed Jun 18 18:15:56 GMT 2003
Date in JResultSet after converting to ReferenceTZ
Wed Jun 18 18:15:56 GMT 2003

so if you see

Help! Urgent help required for adjusting image

Hi - hoping someone can help.
I sent the attached PDF - http://www.sensecreative.co.uk/custUploads/SENSE-36-7977-95928/77317/SENSE-36-7977-95928-7 7317-2440.zip - to print with Sense Creative. The cards were printed and they've turned out quite visibly green on the reverse (where it should be white).
I've printed the artwork on several printers I have access to and it looks as it should, however SC are saying that the issue is with the artwork
"The green tinge you see on the reverse of these cards is prevalent in the artwork. The makeup of the background is approximately c-15 m-11 y-15 k-0. the predominant levels of the yellow and cyan will give you the green tint. Upping the levels of the artwork in or substituting the cyan, magenta and yellow levels with more black in Photoshop will likely give you the result you require. We are satisfied that in both instances, the artwork has printed correctly and the colours are well within tolerance given the nature of the artwork."
So, I'm in a bit of a pickle as the cards are needed for an event next week.
How do I change the image levels? Or are they talking nonsense and trying to pass the buck?

Acrobat View> Tools> Print Production> Output Preview: Object Inspector will call out the objects' profiles if you click on each one individually (in this case all appeaar to be "Device CMYK" or Untagged CMYK)
untagged CMYK has the same pitfalls as untagged RGB... if one applys or assumes the wrong SOURCE PROFILE it doesn't CONVERT colors to Monitor RGB or Print Space correctly
