Hi Deepak,
In first place application server 9.0.2 is desupported since 30th June 2007.So oracle would always recommend its customer to be on the latest versions.

Help me, why Oracle Application raised error:no such trigger.

Dear friend,
I have developed a form program in FORMs 6I, and it works in my ORACLE APPLICATIONS ,but after it is installed in another Server,it popup the error windown, it said : FRM-40700:No such trigger:menu_to_appcore.
I don't know why, somebody told me ,the oracle application with different vesion will cause this problem, is it true?, if it's true, how can i avoid it if i have to use those triggers.

Willen,
I suggest you review the Oracle Applications Developer's Guide (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25516_18/current/acrobat/115devg.pdf). More than likely, your form does not include one or more of the required libraries or other subclassed objects required for an Applications Form. I highly recommend you base any Custom Form on the provided TEMPLATE.fmb that comes with Apps. This will ensure you have all the required objects in your form and the library paths are neutral (no hard-coded file paths to the library - which could be the cause of your error).
somebody told me ,the oracle application with different vesion will cause this problem,As to this statement, you need to contact your DBA or Apps Server admin to find out which version of Oracle Forms is installed on the Apps Server. Your development environment must match. For example, Forms 6i patchset 18 installed on the Apps Server, you should have Forms 6i patchset 18 installed on your workstation. It will work if your workstation has a lower version than the Apps Server, but you're asking for trouble if you have a newer version installed on your workstation.

Need help in installing Oracle Application Server 10g Rel Wireless Portion

I am trying to install the OAP and need to enable or configure the wireless portion of it. I got this cpio file from Oracle site (as_linux_x86_101300_disk1.cpio & as_linux_x86_101300_disk2.cpio) and installed the OAP. I don't see any option to enable the wireless portion. runInstaller is showing only the basic installer option ( IntegratedWebserver,J2EE Server,Process Management). I have my OAP server running now and this on RedHat AS3.

Need help on installing Oracle Application express 3.2

Hi,
I had downloaded Oracle 11g database and installed the personal edition.I got the Enterprise manager login page working and also the DBConsole
I had Downloaded APEX 3.2 and wanted to install apex 3.2.I wanted to do the following scenario
Scenario 3: Install from the Database and Configure the Embedded PL/SQL
Gateway
Planning to do these steps: ( I have few questions on these steps and are below each step)
■ Running the apxconf.sql Configuration Script
Do I have to install Oracle Application express or is it already installed in 11g personal edition?
Do I have to create a seperate database or schema for this step( I have only one instance orcl1) ?■ Verifying the Oracle XML DB HTTP Server Port
Can I do this step in my current orcl1 instance,if so which user■ Enabling Oracle XML DB HTTP Server
Once I carry out these steps, Can I access the admin page for apex with https://localhost:port/apex_admin ?
Am I missing any other steps ?

I have one idea..
Try to install again:
1) download and unzip apex_3.2 in $ORACLE_HOME
You will have:
$ORACLE_HOME/apex - old directory
$ORACLE_HOME/apex_3.2 - new directory
2) in command line go to $ORACLE_HOME/apex_3.2/apex
run sqlplus "/as sysdba"
in sqlplus run @apexins tablespace_apex tablespace_files tablespace_temp images
Where:
tablespace_apex is the name of the tablespace for the Oracle Application Express application user.
tablespace_files is the name of the tablespace for the Oracle Application Express files user.
tablespace_temp is the name of the temporary tablespace.
images is the virtual directory for Oracle Application Express images. To support future Oracle Application Express upgrades, define the virtual image directory as /i/.
Example:
@apexins SYSAUX SYSAUX TEMP /i/
3) check installation log for errors
4) in command line go to $ORACLE_HOME/apex_3.2/apex
run sqlplus "/as sysdba"
in sqlplus run @apxconf
set admin password
set port
5) run @apxldimg.sql $ORACLE_HOME/apex_3.2
6) check for running listener and try to login apex: http:\\host:port\apex\apex_admin

can I integrate help files created with Robohelp inside the
software??
what is the best output type that suites my application??
if you got what I mean, I need the user of my software to be
able to view help files of the current form he/she is using not the
whole help files. as I read the robohelp help files this is called
Context-sensitive help, deos it work in my case??

(Urgent) Sysdate issue in Oracle applications scheduler.

Hi All
I have used the query 'SELECT SYSDATE FROM DUAL' for a parameter in concurrent request. If I execute this concurrent as a single request, then it returns exact sysdate (current date) in a parameter.
If i schedule this program for daily execution using scheduler, then the sysdate is always giving value of the date when i have configured the scheduler.
For example,
My Requirement :The scheduler configured such a way that it should run everyday.Whenever it runs my query has to return the current date.
Current Issue: I schedule the scheduler on 23-Dec-2008. If it runs on 24-DEC-2008,it returns as '23-DEC-2008', If it runs on 28-DEC-2008 also,it returns as '23-DEC-2008.However If I execute this as a single request, it works fine.
Can anyone help me please,,It is very urgent.

I can confirm that this does work properly on 11.1.0.6 . Here is the code I used

select * from job_output order by log_date ;The table job_output clearly shows dates increasing by one minute every run. If you use "freq=daily" instead then the job will run once a day instead of once a minute.
Does this example work for you ? If not could you post output from the job_output table and tell us what version database you are using.

Hi Shalini ,
Do you see Sia.exe, CMS.exe in the taskmanager of the server operating system.
If you cannot see the exe's , try stoping and starting the SIA, if it still fails check CMS database configuration and the connectivity of the Server OS with the CMS database server. Mostly it is the connectivity issue with the CMS database. Check with Database team if there was any changes in the database server
Rebooting the server might help.

How to know current form name in oracle applications 11i.

Hi all,
By clicking on Help menu-> About Oracle Applications, it will display environment variables info, and current form info, on which we r working.
I want to know from where this information is coming,
Where oracle applicaitons will store this information.
Is there any database table which regularly updates the current form info.
Or is there any log which contains info about current form name.

In 11i Oracle Applications when we create a deduction element uding deduction screen , earlier i think withholding elements used to be created automatically but now No "withholding elements" are created . DO we need to create these elements using element description screen seperately.please let me know if i am missing something

Oracle 10g Application Hang Issue ...... Please need Urgent Help

Hello All,
We have Linux server with Oracle Application 10g and Oracle 11g database.
We have developed an application with JSP/Servlet. We are facing an wired issue with this application.
When we start using system with 4-3 users at a time, after few mins or few hours, that application slow down or hang.
and then after we are not even able to get a simple HTML page. It also affect the other applications as well, which are deployed on that server.
We have tried our best but not able to find what the exact problem is. Even we have used visualVM and Jconsole to monitor the application.
When application hang, we had found that there were 6,959 Loaded Classes, 200MB heap size, CPU usage 20%.
We have set the heap size to 2GB.
Another thing is, some procedures take 20sec to 2min to execute. But does this affect the application such a way that it goes hang?
Please help to found out the problem.

I´m having a lot of performance troubles in Oracle applications, and the dba and the network analyst can´t help me. I´m having this trouble since 2 weeks, and nobody can explain why. The system is too slow and if i try a simple select in database it takes a lot of time, i think (i think ok?) there are som database troubles...
