Urgent please: generate tab-limited file

Hi,
I have a HTML DB form accepting parameters to generate Oracle report in pdf format.
Could you please explain me about how to generate a tab-delimited file instead of pdf report from HTML DB?
I read some of the related threads, but not clear about how to and where to do this. Thanks much,

By "Oracle report" do you mean Oracle Reports as in the Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports tools in IDS? If so, then you can post the question in other forums.
If the purpose of creating the tab file is to view the report in a spreadsheet application like Excel, just create a normal report region in HTML DB and set "Enable CSV output" to YES. This will create a CSV file on the user's computer which they can open in the spreadsheet application.

Interface output file : tab limited vs flat file with fixed length

any idea on difference b/w to file type : flat file with fixed length or tab limited file

Tab Delimited:
Two Field are seperated by a TAB
eg. SANJAY SINGH
First field is First Name and Second is Sir Name.
Nth field will be after N -1 tab
Fixed Length:
Every field has a fixed starting position and length
eg. SANJAY SINGH
Here First field start from Position 1 and has lenght 10 and 2nd field start from 11th postion and has lenght 10.
Fixed Length -> The lenght of each field is fixed, while in tab delimited the lenght of field is not fixed but we know it ends when the Seperatot (Tab) is encountered.

Whether any one has tried generating tab delimited file using an infospoke.
If so please advise how to proceede?
There is SPRO setting to change the Delimiter . But not sure how can insert Tab delimiter

you can hold Alt+ the numeric combination, but this will not be visible in the dialog. I didn't tried it, but I don't think this would be helpful.
I a similar problem we setted "#" and then in the import we wrote to understand "#" as "Tab".

The FM TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP use class like I_OI_DOCUMENT_PROXY and I_OI_SPREADSHEET which are avalaible in CRM5.O.
You can maybe check program SAPRDEMO_TABLES_IN_EXCEL and use it to write your own logic.

Unable to generate csr, Please use a valid file name

I've been attempting to generate a new certificate signing request on our Exchange 2013 server. In the past we've never had a problem but we seem to be stuck today. When we try to output the new csr to one of our network shares we see the following
error.
"Please use a valid file name when you run the New-ExchangeCertificate cmdlet on server server1 with the -RequestFile parameter. The file should not exist in target folder. Parameter name: RequestFile"
We've use this share location before without problems, the Exchange Trusted Subsystem has write intermissions on this location as described online but we still receive the error. I've tried creating new locations but haven't had any success.
Any suggestions?

We can access the Exchange Certificate Management UI through the EAC in Exchange 2013 by selecting
Servers and then Certificates to create a new certificate to have a try.
Alternatively, we can try the following command:

sincere thanks for your answer. And, to answer your last question, I'm using client-server model.
Since I couldn't create this .RTF file by using built-ins like TEXT_IO, I tried to generate an .RTF file using Reports, passing the parameters DESTYPE, DESNAME and DESFORMAT, as shown below.

add_parameter (pl_id, 'DESNAME', text_parameter, 'c:\franklin.rtf');
add_parameter (pl_id, 'DESFORMAT', text_parameter, 'RTF');
However, the just generated .RTF file is uncomprehensible. After opening the file at Microsoft Word, I can see the following message at the top of file:
This file was created by Oracle Reports. Please view this document in Page Layout mode.
... and informations doesn't appear as desired.
If I can't generate such text format by using TEXT_IO, and if generating an .RTF file through Reports shows me an incomprehensible result, how can I export the selected result to an .RTF file?
When Reports is opened, choosing Generate to file -> RTF doesn't export anything.

How to preserve a background color, when generating a PDF file

I am trying to create a PDF file from some application. Please note that the picture in this application has the black background. So I invoke a Print command and set a printer as "Adobe PDF". As a result, I have generated
a brilliant PDF file of my picture, but on the WHITE background. When selecting the Adobe PDF printer, I have looked through all its settings ( in the Adobe PDF settings, I have found several tabs: General, Images, Fonts, Color, Advanced, PDF/X), none of them generated the original background color.
So how can a generate a PDF file, having the original background color (black, in my case) ?

Now I feel that the background definition in the Adobe PDF printer and the background definition in the application the Adobe PDF printer is invoked from -- two different things. So I guess how can I define the black background in the Adobe PDF printer? I cannot find such settings.

To import addresses, need format of tab delimited file

I am trying to import addresses from my G3 PB Mozilla App. I exported addresses on G3 to both ldif and tab-delimited files and then attached to an email message which I sent to myself. I received email on Mac mini, but the 2 files showed up inline, not as attachments. I copied the ldif portion to a text file; ditto for tab-delimited. I tried importing into Address Book, but got message that format was not valid.
Can't I just edit the tab-delimited file in TextEdit, save as RTF, and get Address Book to recognize the data?

Parameter issue - report not generating any pdf files

Hi All,
I'm trying to run a report which generates pdf files. Is there any limitation on the parameter string size? For one of the parameter values - '11F EA Accept nonhonor ASnSOMnSON_20091201090150846' the report is not generating any pdf files. I assumed the reason is of the keyword 'AS' in it and created another parameter value - '11F EA Accept nonhonor AnS-SOM-SON_20091202074331997', but it is also not generating any pdf files. I get this message from Adobe Reader " There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be opened because it has no pages. " The report is working normally when i hardcode the same parameter values into the logic. Any suggestions on this?

That report is working normally for all the parameter values, except this one. It is not working only if i pass the value - ''11F EA Accept nonhonor ASnSOMnSON_20091201090150846' as a parameter. It is generating the pdf files when i hardcode the same value into sql query logic in the data template, instead of passing it as a parameter. Please advise.

Hello.
I'm having the same problem. It appeared after I made use of many cells (a table of 10x200 cells) with formulas inside them.
Before that, while I was making my tests and only used a few cells and the .XLF file was 4Mb, I had no problem. Now that the .XLF file is 8Mb I see this error appearing (in Spanish):
"Error
Desbordamiento de la función SWF. El archivo SWF generado no funcionará correctamente ya que las dependencias de datos superan los límites de SWF."
Any idea of how this could be resolved (appart from using less data)?
