Urgent: Replicating Delta Product categories

Our users have requested to replicate additional product categories from R/3 to EBP system. Do we need to run R3AS (Initial download-DNL_CUST_PROD1)? Is there any delta mechanism available for product categories?
Regards
AS

Hi Alok,
there is no delta flow (like for materials) for product categories.
So yes, you need to run the initial download on DNL_CUST_PROD1 again.
This will update the existing hierarchy (by creating new categories and changing existing ones).

  • I am getting an error message while replicating the product categories

    Hi SRM Gurus,
We are presently using SRM 4.0 stand-alone scenario. My client want certain product categories to go for ECS scenario. In the process of journey of configuration. I am stuck with the Product category replication. And I am getting an error message 'Import of material groups into hierarchy HIERARCHY' in the Inbound queue of SRM.
We have one Hierarchy for local product categories. Do I need to create new Hierarchy for the R/3 Product categories?
Can you please give me some pointers regarding this?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Ram

    Hi Sridhar,
I did all the confihuration steps for CRM middleware set up. I am replicating only Product categories through T.Code R3AS. When I check in the inbox of SRM through SMQ2, I am getting the error message Import of materail group into hierarchy HIERARCHY. Because we are already using the local product categories for stand-alone scenario. So do i need to create one more hierarchy for the product categories coming from R/3. Or else do I need to configure some settings for that.
Can you please let me know.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Updating Product Categories

    Hi,
We are using SRM 5.0, we initially replicated about 400 Product categories, now due to business requirements, we have consolidated them to 200 in ECC. Now How do I pull the changes in to SRM to inactivate/delete the unused product categories. I could not find any delta job for this.
Is there a report or a t-code I can use to fix this? please reply and BTW, we are not using MMID's.
    Thanks,
    Sreedhar

  • Replicate Delta download of Product Categories Error

    Hi
Running Sudo-Extended classic. I have replicated product categories from the backend into SRM successfuly. Now I need to alter 20 P.Categories.
In R/3 I coped the category, changed it and saved it. eg from 1200000 to 120000. Now I am replicating this new P.Category back into SRM.
R3AR2 to create delta download for 2 tables T023 and T023
R3AR4 to replicate the file above, Source R/3 and Target system is CRM/SRM..
My issue is I dont see anything in R3AM1.
Also whe I run SMQ1 I see my delta request but is has a status:SYSFAIL the issue seems to R/3.
Question:DO i have to delete my old P.Categories in SRM frist? It wont allow me coz they were created in R/3.
My SMQ1 and SMQ2 are clear before i began all this.
I try SM59 and my RFC seems to be working??
    ANY iDEAS out there????
NO P.Categories seem to be comming in from R/3
    cheers

    Hi,
The delta load does not work for product categories but only products. So to bring in the new product categories into SRM you will need to start the load of the object DNL_CUST_PROD1 again.

  • How to automatically update products and product categories?

    Hi friends
How to automatically update products and product categories. Is it possible?
    regards
    venkat

    Hi,
The delta load does not work for product categories but only products. So to bring in the new product categories into SRM you will need to start the load of the object DNL_CUST_PROD1 again.
The CRM middleware allows the following two methods for replication.
    -Initial loads:
Launched manually (R3AS), the objects (customizing or business) are replicated between SRM and R/3, according to the filters you've put on the object (R3AC1 for Business objects like MATERIAL, R3AC3 for customizing objects like DNL_CUST_PROD0 and 1).
    -Delta loads:
This option is only possible for Business objects, which is the case of MATERIAL.
With this option a daemon is launched between the 2 servers. Every modification made on an object on SRM or R/3 is transfered as soon as this object is contained in the filter retrictions (creation and/or modification). this is done through transaction R3AC4.
    Also refer the foll thread:
Material group from R/3 to COMM_CATEGORY (SRM)

  • Cannot see list of Product Categories in Shopping Cart entry screen

    Hi All,
I would appreciate it if someone could help me with this issue.
Although I appear to have sucessfully replicated the backend R3 Mat Groups into SRM Product Categories, as I can see them in the hierachy screen, i.e. Hierachy ID R3MATCLASS in trans code COMM_HIERARCHY, they are not appearing in my Shopping Cart entry screen Product Categories drop down.
I have looked in Org structure maintanance and can see two things that may be the root causes:
    (a) In 'Exended Attributes', if I select the Source System, I do not get the option to list the product categories in the match code box
(b). In the 'check' screem, the system is displaying the message 'Attribute ITS_DEST not yet defined'
Any feedback on how I can pull in the groups during cart entry would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi Kathirvel,
I am not sure if this workaround is correct, but rather than using trans code BDLS as you suggested, I defined the logical system 'ABC' . This logical system was the assigned as a target system in 'Assignment of Logical Systems' under the product category customisation (table COMV_LOGSYS_MAP)
These changes subsequently allowed the drop down on the Org structure when selecting a Product Category in extended attributes, therefore making the list available in the web front end.
The IMG help text for COMV_LOGSYS_MAP says:
    Case 1
You have created the categories in your test system. They therefore have the logical system <SYSTEM_TEST>. So that the categories can also be changed once they have been transported into the production system, the categories must have the logical system <SYSTEM_PROD> in the target system.
    Maintain the following entry:
    Source <SYSTEM_TEST>
    Target <SYSTEM_PROD>
The logical system of the categories will be changed from <SYSTEM_TEST> to <SYSTEM_PROD>.
This appears to have resolved the issue. I would be interested to hear what you think,
    Many thanks , Steve,

  • Client copy duplicate product categories

How do i delete duplicate product categories in SRM5.0? I have a set of Pcats from the client copy (cats pointing BE of the client that is copied) and another set of Pcats replicated from the backend after client copy with logical system pointng to BE. I want to delete the copied ones and keep the replicated ones,...I had similar problem (doem pointing to quality BE and some dev BE) with products but I manged to change the logical system through BDLS and COMM_PRODUCT table, but in COMM_CATEGORY table i can't change the system as it is duplicated.
    Thanks,
    Shankar

    Hi Shankar,
You can very well delete the hierarchies and products that are not relavant.
For deleting products: Use SA38 txn. and run the report for COM_PRODUCT_DELETE_SINGLE , for deleting single product or COM_PRODUCT_DELETE_ALL for deleting all the products.
For executing this report COMC_PR_TOOL_REG table needs to be populated with the program name, user name and execution date using SE16 txn.
COM_HIERARCHY_DELETE_SINGLE report needs to be executed using SA38 txn. for deleting the Hierarchy that is material group or material type.
For deleting product categories which are not relavant use txn. COMM_HIERARCHY and in the change mode double click on R3MATCLASS and choose the concerned back end and select the category to be deleted and click on Dlete category tab.
Hope this makes you more clear and helps in resolving your issue.

  • Unable to find product categories after client copy

    Hi all,
We have copied  clients from an existing ones for both SRM and ECC. After client copy we have followed standard procedure after client copy i.e.
    Run transcation BDLS
    created new RFC connections
changed attributes using the Attributes replace report
    created new distributon model
    maintained CRM parameters
maintained new site attributes in SMOEAC transaction
    maintained entries in table TWPURLSVR
however , when i try to create a shopping cart,  I cannot see any product category. The extended attributes for product category point to new ECC client becuse we have run the attributes replace report.
however in the product category table , COMM_CATEGORY , the product categories listed are all for the old ECC client
When i tried to load the Object DNL_CUST_PROD1 using transaction R3AS in SRM and tried to pull from new ECC client , it is in runing status for a long time and new categories with new ECC backend reference are not being replicated in the SRM.
Can you tell me why this could be happening ? How can i get the product categories from new ECC backend into my client?
    Regards,
    Mangesh

    problem solved
i was using wrong parameters in BDLS

  • SMQ2, Product Categories and Materials

    Hello,
I am working on SRM 5.0 in ECS and I have an issue regarding the update of Product Categories from ECC.
Actually, the initial load worked properly but the update does not work. In SRM, when I look at SMQ2 queue list, I have many entries, most of them concern Material Master replication. So my first interrogation is: I do not use Material Master in SRM, so why do I find some entries linked to Material Masters in this queue list? Is there any mean to avoid this to occur?
My second interrogation is about the processing of SMQ2 queue list: What do I have to do in order to see the different entries processed automatically (for Product Categories update)?
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards,
    Patrick

    Hi,
There is no delta replication/update available in SRM for PORDUCT CATEGORIES but only for PRODUCTS(material). To update the Product categories or bring in new categories, you need to run the initial load again thru trasnc R3AS.

  • How do we bring local product categories inside sourcing...

    Hi all,
We are trying to bring the local products, where we can select in the Category ID SPRO...Define Sourcing for product categories. Please let me know how to do...
We are using SRM 4.0 server 5.0 and SP 8
    regards,
    Bert

    Bert,
You can assign only one product hierarchy at a time to purchasing application.
Are you maintaining local & replicated categories into the same product category hierarchy ?
If yes, you should find them in "Defining Sourcing for product categories" (if you select the correct source system = EBP, as I replied before).
If no, you have to choose which one to work with. his one and only this one will be available in SRM procurement flows (attributes, customizing...).
Check customizing point "Assign Hierarchies to Applications".

  • External Requirements and local Product Categories

    Hi all,
    please could you assist:
We are running SRM 7 with several ECC backends in ECS.
We would like to transfer ext. requirement from one backend to SRM (via BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER).
    No problems so far.
    Prerequisites:
Product categories should only be maintained local in SRM (no r3MATCLASS).
    Idea for Solution:
Use of BADI PRODUCT_CUSTOMER2 and BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI to use the internal product category for replicated materials and for the Inbound external requirements
    Questions:
If we now transfer an external requirement from ECC to SRM (including a product), how does SRM behave (STANDARD)?
Is it mandatory to obtain the replicated product in SRM including the backend product category?
That would mean, we have to replicate the product categories from ECC as well and could not map the incoming requirements to "our" SRM interlanl product categories?
Any experience concerning standard SRM checks for external requirements?
    Thanks and best regards
    Andreas

    Problem solved
We have just mantained local product categories.
Replicated products (from ERP) are automatically switched to these local categories

  • Product Categories: from replication to transport viaCOM_CATEGORY_TRANSPORT

    Dear experts,
Weu2019ve implemented SRM 4.0 (SRM_SERVER 500) with multiple ECC 5.0 backends and after reading document u201CSetup, Transport and Copy of SAP EBP Systems (Version 1.4)u201D weu2019ve realized weu2019ve done some things wrong, such as: replicate product categories from backend to frontend in Quality and Productive environments instead of transporting them via report COM_CATEGORY_TRANSPORT.
Weu2019d like to go back to the right direction and here we need your help and experience.
Do you see any feasible way of doing this? Do you think this is still possible taking into account that as a consequence of replicating categories instead of transporting them weu2019ve done a lot of customizing manually?
    Many thanks for your help.
    Regards,

    HI Dean
Thanks for the info.   I have been in touch and they have recommended the following reports for deletion but these are no good as cannot us in P if documents assigned to them.
    COM_HIERARCHY_DELETE_SINGLE,
    COM_HIERARCHY_DELETE_ALL,
    COM_PRODUCT_DELETE_SINGLE,
    COM_PRODUCT_DELETE_ALL
I think we will go down the route you suggested which was option 2.  I assume we would create a error message so if a NSV was selected then a error would pop up and not allow SC creation. Then I would need to load the new UNSPCC codes to the same Product Hierarchy in SRM.
Thanks for your help with this.

  • System Fail Error  for Product categories  download

    Hi All,
I am workin on SRM 4.0.We have started the initial Load for product categories but unable to load the  material groups from the backend as  prod  catgories in SRM.
When I activate the Queue in SMQ2,it shows the status "System Fail" with the message " Hierarchy(with some  ID)  does  not exist ".What  could be the reason for the unsuccesful download? Please help.
    Regards,
    Disha D.

    Hello Disha,
As Bertrand (and Vadim) said, you have to maintain this customizing point...
But if you read the linked documentation, it says that the system should assign the hierarchy automatically:
"When system settings for materials and services are replicated from the ERP system ,the relevant hierarchy is assigned to the corresponding application automatically. In this case, the assignment need not and should not be changed.
If you are not going to replicate data from the ERP system you must have created the hierarchy you want to assign to the application."
Maybe you first need to create a root hierarchy, assign it to purchasing area, and then the replication will add a "R3MATCLASS" sub node in your hierarchy.
Make few tests as described and tell us.
    Rgds

  • Create new product categories

    Hi,
    We have a SRM3.0  system,
I need to create 10 new product categories in the system.
    Where can i create them.
    Thanks & Regards
    R.M.

    Hi Kam,
You can assign the GL account to the product category, but you have to create the product category first by manually(TCODE: COMM_HIERARCHY) or by replicating from ERP, and then assign the GL account to the product category in SRM(SPRO -> SAP Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Account Assignment).

  • ABAP report for Active Product Categories by Vendor

    Hi,
I have been trying to write an ABAP report in SRM to list all vendors attached to active product categories. My problem is identifying the active product categories. Can anyone help me identify these?
    Regards,
    Conor

Some alternative is in KSB1 (Cost center line item report) - you can change the layout and include offsetting account and its text.
But, in vendor line item report, if you want vendor number, vendor number, GL account number (offsetting) account and its text, then you should go with abap development.
Have a look at the following note, if really serves your purpose.
Note 1504612 - Line items: Offsetting account info (BAdI FI_ITEMS_CH_DATA)
