URGENT: The substiuted extended VOImpl not called

Hi All,
We have substituted a VO with the new extended VO. The new extended VO has two new select columns, two new tables in the FROM clause and two new where clauses. The new extended query is working fine when executed in toad. But when run on the application it gives the following error.
at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.server.OAViewObjectImpl.executeQuery(OAViewObjectImpl.java:441)
     at oracle.apps.per.irc.offers.server.OfferLetterDetailsVOImpl.executeQueryForOfferId(OfferLetterDetailsVOImpl.java:128)
     at oracle.apps.per.irc.offers.server.OffersAMImpl.getXMLDataFromBaseTables(OffersAMImpl.java:1532)
We have also extended the VOImpl and modified the "executeQueryForOfferId" with the FROM tables and the where clauses. But, In the AM (OffersAMImpl), the old VOImpl is hardcoded as follows before executing the query:
OfferLetterDetailsVOImpl offerletterdetailsvoimpl = getOfferLetterDetailsVO();
Hence, the new VOImpl (XXOfferLetterDetailsVOImpl), which has all the FROM and WHERE clauses is not being called. Please let me know, if there is someway to work through this.
Also, one more question is if the VOImpl is hardcoded in AMImpl file as follows:
OfferLetterDetailsVOImpl offerletterdetailsvoimpl = getOfferLetterDetailsVO();
Will it call the OfferLetterDetailsVOImpl or XXOfferLetterDetailsVOImpl after substitution. Just wondering!!

    Hi all,
    In one of the beanmanaged entity bean, the ejbStore is not called after ejbCreate. I am using wblogic 6.1 server. I've also coded similar types of entity bean and those are working perfectly.

    To answer your question partly -- as per the EJB specification, the ejbStore is called after the invokation of the business method and not ejbCreate method.

    I also don't know why is this so confusing. I can't tell what I have.
    The About screen is the same. No 3D menu, but if you go to "menus" properties, #D is under Panel Menus like it should be available.
    During download is was also confusing, because in one place it just said CS6 the other it said extended.
    System info should tell us what is going on.

  • Customer Exit not called upon in the Query...

    Dear Guys,
    I am working on the "Slow Moving Item(MC46)" report in BW.We need "No.of Days Not consumed" in the Input selection screen in the BW Query.We tried creating a Formula variable upon "Calday" with Data type "Numeric" and then a Customer Exit is called to the Subtract the "No. of days not consumed" from "Today's date(System Date)" and gives the result as "Earlier date" .
    (Eg: Today's Date : 04-04-08
           No. of Days Consumed : 30
           ZSlow_Mov_Date          : 03-03-08).
    But for some reason the Customer exit is not called upon when we execute the Query (RSRT-->Execute + Debug option)..Can someone take time to throw some light on this,plz?
    Manythanks
    Arun

    Hello Arun,
    In the User Exit Code, please check at what I_STEP value the variable exit is called.

  • Does the network extender work in "extended coverage" areas?

    We are going to be at a cabin in a rural area that is in "extended 3G" / "extended digital coverage" according to the verizon coverage map (a few miles east of Arnold, CA).
    As the cabin has internet (we go there every summer), will the network extender work given that it's in an extended coverage area? I usually get 0 bars when I am at the cabin and it would be nice to be able to make/receive calls on the cell phone without having to drive into town several miles away.

        Hello norm_!
    I'd be happy to clarify the Network Extender functionality. I looked up your Arnold, CA location, and unfortunately, the network extender will not work in this area. I apologize for the inconvenence, and I do hope you have a wonderful trip!

  • Decode not called for all UIComponents in tree

    Many of the faces .jsp pages I have been working with in EA2 have not been updating their models properly.
    The symptom I have observed is that the decode method is not called for all of the UIComponents on the page.
    I think I have tracked this down to a bug in the class com.sun.faces.tree.TreeNavigatorImpl. This class appears to be used internally by some of the .jsf code to navigate the component tree.
    Studying various stack traces, it looks like the method TreeNavigatorImpl.getNextStart() is supposed to provide a preorder traversal of the component tree. Starting from the root of the tree, each call is expected to return the next node. Experimental evidence suggests that it is not doing that properly, and it fails to visit all the nodes in the tree.
    For example, if my component tree looks like this (this is a representation of the tree; not an example of a .jsp page):
    <node id = "/">
       <node id = "page">
          <node id = "carStoreForm">
             <node id = "ba0">
                 <node id = "ba1">
                     <node id = "ba3"/>
                     <node id = "br4"/>
                 </node>
             </node>
             <node id = "bold1"/>
             <node id = "more1"/>
          </node>
       </node>
    </node>A preorder traversal of these nodes should visit nodes:
    '/page'
    '/page/carStoreForm'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0/ba1'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0/ba1/ba3'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0/ba1/br4'
    '/page/carStoreForm/bold1'
    '/page/carStoreForm/more1'
    However, when I write test code that calls TreeNavigatorImpl.getNextStart() directly, only the following nodes are returned:
    '/page'
    '/page/carStoreForm'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0/ba1'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0/ba1/ba3'
    '/page/carStoreForm/ba0/ba1/br4'
    It looks to me like the method loses track of the state of the traversal, and prematurely returns null before all the nodes are visited. (It is failing to return the "bold1" and "more1" nodes.)
    This is all extremely speculative. Without jsf source or doc for any of the tree classes, it is difficult to know what is supposed to be going on. And, of course, I may just have a bug in my code.

    Okay, rather than wait for Max to respond, I decompiled the TreeNavigatorImpl class myself and studied the source code. The
    problem arises in the getNextStart() method. If the method returns
    a null value, then presumably the class has successfully traversed
    the entire tree in preorder. Unfortunately, there was a slight
    logic error that would halt traversal after you got to the last node
    of the last subtree at the beginning of your travels.
    The following code should correct this situation (let me know if I've
    introduced any new problems into the mix...). I tested this out using the simple example that Max describes above. The test code appears at the end of my revised method:
    public UIComponent getNextStart() {
    UIComponent cur = null;
    if (startTraversalDone) {
    return cur;
    if (startStack.empty()) {
    cur = root;
    Iterator iter = cur.getChildren();
    if (iter.hasNext()) {
    startStack.push(iter);
    else {
    while (!startStack.empty()) {
         Iterator iter = (Iterator) startStack.peek();
         if (iter != null && iter.hasNext()) {
         cur = (UIComponent) iter.next();
         Iterator childIter = cur.getChildren();
         if (childIter != null && childIter.hasNext()) {
         startStack.push(childIter);
         else {
         if (!iter.hasNext()) {
         startStack.pop();
         break;
    else {
         startStack.pop();
    if (startStack.empty()) {
    startTraversalDone = true;
    if (cur != null) {
    endStack.push(cur);
    return cur;

  • Button action is not calling

    Hi,
    I am new to JSF.
    Here is my problem.
    I have a select one menu and command button on a page
    When ever the page loads for the first time the select one menu is loaded with the data and the button should be disabled.
    When an item is selected from the menu the button should be enabled.
    Upto this part I finished.
    Now the problem is with button.When I click the button the corresponding action method is not calling.
    If the button is enabled during page load then the action method is calling when ever I click the button.
    But I need to make the button disabled until I select an item from the

         public void setLoadTable(boolean loadTable) {
              this.loadTable = loadTable;
    In the above backing bean code the loadTable value is false.
    So under this condition the action method is calling.B'cause the button is in enable state even there is no section in the menu.
    If I make loadTable=true then the action button is in disabled state until the menu item is selected. But the action method is not executing in this case.
    Thanks.

    Hi Experts,
    I have a strange behaviour in my Interactive form SAVE functionality. If its a large form, the SAVE button does not call corresponding action method in the implementation.
    However it does when the form size is small eg 1.5Mb or so.
    Please advise. This is quite urgent.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi!
    If you commit the form and insert data after that,
    that data will not being commited to the database and got lost until you use
    something like forms_ddl ( 'commit' ); after the insert.
    :system.last_query, which is the very last query of a block in your form,
    will never show an insert in any trigger.
    May a commit-trigger is not a good place for an insert.
    But anyway, hope this help you.

    }     My question is: I have taken my SQL query generated by toSQL() method in events and it worked.
    Here is the funny thing:
    Everything is correct syntax wise: No complaints what soever
    The mysql part works: Tested separately.
    So I tend to think that the problem lies within the SAX parser. I have written SAX2 parsers on this machine before and they have worked too. I tried inserting println statements all over startElement endElement etc etc only to find out that the SAX parser did not call any of the methods that I overided!! Why is that so?
    Can you guys spot where my SAX parser fails?

    I see.
    I try to correct this problem by removing super();
    so right now my code looks like this:
         static Event temp = new Event(0, 0, "null", "null", new Date(), 0, "null", 0);
         static String CurrentElement = null;
         static File XMLpath;
         static Connection db_connection;
         static XMLReader xr;
         static DefaultHandler XMLSAXhandler;
         //Constructor,      Build the SAX Parser
         public EventXMLParser(File path, Connection connection)     {
              try     {
                   this.XMLpath = path;
                   this.db_connection = connection;
                   this.xr = XMLReaderFactory.createXMLReader();
                   this.XMLSAXhandler  = new DefaultHandler(); //create a new own handler
                   this.xr.setContentHandler(XMLSAXhandler);
                   this.xr.setErrorHandler(XMLSAXhandler);
                   //System.out.println("DEBUG: db_connection is " + db_connection.toString());
              catch (Exception e)     {
                   System.out.println("Constructor Error!");
                   e.printStackTrace();
         }This time, I created a new instance of default handler() which can be referenced by as the objects's XMLSAXhandler. However, that did not solve the problem, why does the problem still persist?
    Right now, there is only one instance of a default handler created. So why does all my parsing event functions still get ignored?

  • Dynamic Configuration is not called in End to end processing

    Hi,
    I am working on scenario Proxy to File. From the source side, they are sending the target file name in the proxy. So for that we are implementing the dynamic configuration.When the proxy is triggered from ECC, the dynamic conf is not called. I am not able to see the Dynamic configuration in SXMB_MONI. But when i send the same payload through RWB, i m able to see the Dynamic conf in SXMB_MIONI and the target file is getting generated.
    Please suggest the solution for this.
    Thanks,
    Soumya.

    Hi,
    I feel the dynamic configuration should be accessed at the runtime and not generated.  We have had similar scenarios where we built the file name at runtime accessing the payload.
    Try using the below UDF for a dummy field on target side and the field carrying file name on source side..
    public String setDynamicFileName(String Key, String Value, Container container)throws StreamTransformationException{
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container
        .getTransformationParameters()
        .get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create(
        u201Chttp://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Fileu201D,
        u201CFileNameu201D);
    conf.put(key,value);
    return("");
    This should work as long as you are passing a value in source field.
    Thanks

  • FillClaimsForEntity not called in my custom claim provider

    Hi,
    I have created a custom claim provider in SharePoint 2013 in order to augment claims with some custom values. It's mostly boilerplate code - nothing special. After deploying and enabling a corresponding farm feature I noticed that the FillClaimsForEntity
    method is not called at all. Moreover, other two methods required for augmentation (FillClaimValueTypes and FillClaimTypes) are called only once - when the feature is activated. From my understanding all three methods should be called every time a user logs
    in to SharePoint. I'm using integrated Windows authentication with NTLM.
    This is abbreviated code showing only important parts:
    public class MyClaimProvider : SPClaimProvider
    protected const string MyClaimType = "http://www.mywebsite.ca/identity/claims/parrot";
    protected const string StringTypeClaim = "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#string";
    protected override void FillClaimTypes(List<string> claimTypes)
    if (claimTypes == null)
    throw new ArgumentNullException("claimTypes");
    // add our claim types
    claimTypes.Add(MyClaimType);
    protected override void FillClaimValueTypes(List<string> claimValueTypes)
    if (claimValueTypes == null)
    throw new ArgumentNullException("claimValueTypes");
    // add our claim value type
    claimValueTypes.Add(StringTypeClaim);
    protected override void FillClaimsForEntity(Uri context, SPClaim entity, List<SPClaim> claims)
    if (entity == null)
    throw new ArgumentNullException("entity");
    if (claims == null)
    throw new ArgumentNullException("claims");
    claims.Add(CreateClaim(MyClaimType, "kakadu", StringTypeClaim));
    public override bool SupportsEntityInformation
    get { return true; }
    // ... the rest of code goes here
    and this is my feature code:
    public class MyClaimProviderRegistrationEventReceiver : SPClaimProviderFeatureReceiver
    public override string ClaimProviderAssembly
    get { return this.GetType().Assembly.FullName; }
    public override string ClaimProviderType
    get { return typeof(MyClaimProvider).FullName; }
    public override string ClaimProviderDisplayName
    get { return "MyClaimProvider"; }
    public override string ClaimProviderDescription
    get { return "MyClaimProvider desc"; }
    public override void FeatureActivated(Microsoft.SharePoint.SPFeatureReceiverProperties properties)
    base.FeatureActivated(properties);
    var cpm = SPClaimProviderManager.Local;
    foreach (var cp in cpm.ClaimProviders)
    if (cp.ClaimProviderType == typeof(MyClaimProvider))
    cp.IsUsedByDefault = true;
    cp.IsEnabled = true;
    cpm.Update();
    break;
    Does anybody know why the methods are not called when a user accesses SharePoint?
    Thanks,
    Leszek

  • ABAP Proxy Inbound message does not call generated method

    Hi,
    we tried to generate a ABAP Proxy for a customer demo. It just should retrieve some data and write them to a database table.
    the generation and activation of the proxy was without errors. If we call the check function the method works fine.
    But if we receive data from XI via the regarding interface it looks as if the execute-method of the generated class is not called. We can see the message in SXMB_Moni, but nothing is written to the db table.
    Does someone have any idea?

    Hi Peter,
    There will be some error in the Proxy Side.
    Check this in Transaction Code-SXMB_MONI of Application System(R/3 etc) not in the XI system.
    There may be some communication(http etc) issues.
    Also check this -
    /people/krishna.moorthyp/blog/2005/12/23/monitoring-for-processed-xml-messages-in-abap-proxy
    Hope this helps to findout what is the error.

    Moorthy
