Urgent. Unable to set up JSP in Weblogic server

          Hi,
          I wish to enable JSPs in the weblogic server. i went thru the bea documentation and
          added the following lines in hte weblogic.properties file :
          weblogic.httpd.documentRoot=XXX (The root directory for the jsps.
          weblogic.httpd.register.*.jsp=\ weblogic.servlet.JSPServlet
          weblogic.httpd.initArgs.*.jsp=\ pageCheckSeconds=1,\
          compileCommand=/opt/java1.2/bin/javac,\
          workingDir=XXX,\
          verbose =true
          After this, i started the weblogic. But apparently, it says that all the above properties are undeclared.
          I am not able to go further on this. Could anyone help me out on this.
          I am working on a HP machine.
          thanks in advance. prashant

Hi,
          It is really hard to tell exactly what is going on without more information. If all you are using are JSPs, try
          removing the servlet classpath altogether. Put any helper classes into the weblogic classpath.
          Can you get one of the example JSPs working in your environment? This would be a good place to start just to verify
          that your environment is set up correctly.
          Can you post your JSP file that is not working?
          Hope this helps,

    No, that was on 5.1. For 6.0, my classpath has just:
    %JAVA_HOME%\lib\tools.jar;%WL_HOME%\lib\weblogic_sp.jar;%WL_HOME%\lib\weblogic.jar;
    %CLASSPATH%
    This works fine.

  • Unable to deploy ADF application to weblogic server

    Hi,
    We are developing ADF application using jDeveloper 11.1.1.1 and deploying to Weblogic Server 10.3.1. The application is working without any problems on 10.3.1 wblogic platform.
    We procured new 64 bit hardware and installed weblogic 10.3.2 and jdeveloper 11.1.1.2 on windows platform. When we are deploying the application developed using jdeveloper 11.1.1.1 on the new platform we are getting the following exception.

  • JSP on Weblogic Server

    Hi All,
    I am new to weblogic server. I will be maintaing a site that is already uploaded on weblogic 8.1. I will be modifying as well as changing the contents of jsp and html pages. What needs to be done so that after doing the changes I can deploy these pages. Some one told me that you can do this through management console. How can I access the management console. I am having the IP address of the server.
    What needs to be done?
    Please guide me
    Thanks in advance

    If you want to redeploy the application you can do it via the admin console.
    Do you know at which address your admin console is running?
    If you know that , access it like
    http://ip_address:port/console
    It will ask for the username/password , once you are in there you can redeploy the webapp if required.
    If you dont know the port where it is running you should be able to get it from config.xml
    Use the bea forum , you get a better response there for weblogic related questions

  • Unable to run ADF Project Using with Jdev 10 and Weblogic server 9.2

    Dear All,
    I am unable to run ADF Project on Weblogic Server 9.2. I am created Sample Project with ADF Control. This was when we create jsp at that time i am selected libraries ADF. After created war file. This war i am deploying into Server. At that time i am getting error java.lang.noclassfound error.
    so please tell me how we can run these application.
    Regards,
    Suresh.V

    Hard to help you here. JDev 10 used to work with OAS 10g as application server. This does not mean that you can't use Weblogic9.2, but because it is not the default configuration you may have some problems doing this.
    One problem is that you need to install the ADF runtime libraries in the WLS 9.2 server, but there is no installer I know of. You can try to deploy the needed libraries together with your app, but you have to figure out which libraries you need.
    Next thing is that you should deploy an EAR instead of a WAR.

    Someone know, how to fix this issue?
    You need to set something in the weblogic server?
    Currently I have a set in the security domain users myrealm used in the application.

    i get very similar error trying to deploy to a managed server in weblogic (not to the default managed server) weblogic 10.3.5 jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.

  • Manage GoldenGate Director with JDE WebLogic Server

    My system runs the JDE html domain as a managed instance within WebLogic. In conjunction wit this, I would like to have the WebLogic server also manage my GoldenGate Director, VeriData, and Monitor servers.
    I am not really sure how to direct the installer to do this and then what command to set to instantiate the WebLogic Server to Manage the domain.
    For example, the JDE instances as located within the Oracle Middleware folders as follows:
    /u01/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/html_domain/servers
    And I currently have the Director Server installed in:
    /u01/Oracle/gg-director
    I am running the following to start the individual instances:
    nohup /u01/Oracle/Middleware/wlserver_10.3/server/bin/startNodeManager.sh &
    nohup /u01/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/html_domain/startWebLogic.sh &
    nohup /u01/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/html_domain/bin/startManagedWeblogic.sh JPYJAS01 http://e9web:7001 &
    nohup /u01/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/html_domain/bin/startManagedWeblogic.sh JPDJAS01 http://e9web:7001 &
    /u01/jde_home/SCFHA/bin/startAgent
    Is there a way to get WebLogic to see and manage the gg-director html domain?

    Have you installed per the admin guide?

    Please help me...Thanks.

    In your ejb-jar.xml you are referring to a method saveActionGroup(EditableActionGroup) which is not defined in your remote interface.
    Maybe you have made some typo in the configuration. Check your transaction section, i.e.,
    <container-transaction>
                <method>
                    <ejb-name>ViewBean</ejb-name>
                    <method-name>saveActionGroup</method-name>
                    <method-params>
                        <method-param>package.EditableActionGroup</method-param>
                    </method-params>
                </method>
                <trans-attribute>Required</trans-attribute>
    </container-transaction>or something similar. See if the defined methods are corresponding to the methods defined in the remote interface.

    It would worth if you take a look to the access log file, and see what error code is returning your operation. I detected that when you perform an ldapsearch using a user with expired password (with DS 5.2, explicitly passwordExpirationTime set to 19700101000000Z in my case) the command returns "ldap_search: DSA is unwilling to perform"
    jair@riscl~ $ ldapsearch -b "o=isp" -D "uid=RRJA2829,ou=people,o=affiliates,o=isp" -w met999 "uid=admin"
    ldap_search: DSA is unwilling to perform
    jair@riscl~ $ echo $?
    53And the access log shows (LDAP_SUCCESS for BIND operation):
    [23/Jun/2009:15:16:14 -0500] conn=1847 op=-1 msgId=-1 - fd=48 slot=48 LDAP connection from 127.0.0.1 to 127.0.0.1
    [23/Jun/2009:15:16:14 -0500] conn=1847 op=0 msgId=1 - BIND dn="uid=RRJA2829,ou=people,o=affiliates,o=isp" method=128 version=3
    [23/Jun/2009:15:16:14 -0500] conn=1847 op=0 msgId=1 - RESULT err=0 tag=97 nentries=0 etime=0 dn="uid=rrja2829,ou=people,o=affiliates,o=isp"
    [23/Jun/2009:15:16:14 -0500] conn=1847 op=1 msgId=2 - need new password
    [23/Jun/2009:15:16:14 -0500] conn=1847 op=1 msgId=2 - RESULT err=53 tag=101 nentries=0 etime=0
    [23/Jun/2009:15:16:14 -0500] conn=1847 op=2 msgId=3 - UNBIND
    [23/Jun/2009:15:16:14 -0500] conn=1847 op=2 msgId=-1 - closing - U1
    [23/Jun/2009:15:16:15 -0500] conn=1847 op=-1 msgId=-1 - closed.So, it is possible that your code doesn't catch the exception because the bind operation is returning code 0 (LDAP_SUCCESS) and for some other reason weblogic is receiving a second code 53 which is thrown by the server and not catched by your code, I really don't know if it is possible, is just what comes to my mind right now.
    I also made a test with java using the same user with expired password and couldn't catch any exception like in your case
    import java.util.Hashtable;
    import javax.naming.directory.*;*
    *import javax.naming.ldap.*;
    import javax.naming.*;
    public class Password {
       public static void main (String args[]) {

          try {
             Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
             env.put("java.naming.factory.initial", "com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory");
             env.put("java.naming.provider.url", "ldap://riscl:389/");
             env.put("java.naming.security.principal", userid);
             env.put("java.naming.security.credentials", passwd);
             ctx = new InitialLdapContext(env, null);
          } catch (AuthenticationException e) {
                System.out.println("=> "  +e.getMessage()+  " <=");
          } catch (NamingException ne) {
             System.out.println("=> "  +ne.getMessage()+  " <=");
    }and the logs showed:
    [23/Jun/2009:15:32:41 -0500] conn=43 op=-1 msgId=-1 - fd=52 slot=52 LDAP connection from 127.0.0.1 to 127.0.0.1

    [23/Jun/2009:15:32:42 -0500] conn=43 op=-1 msgId=-1 - closed.but in this case LDAP is not returning the code 53 "UNWILLING TO PERFORM" to java app in the way it did to ldapsearch.
    Hope it helps.

  • Extra Space coming while looping through Hash Set in JSP: URGENT

    Hi,
    I have to loop through the Hash Set in jsp, and display the contents with a comma seperated list.
    I am able to display the values withing the set, however.. after every value,
    i am getting an extra space and then a comma. How do i get rid of this extra space?
    Below is the code snippet
    <% Set tagSet = new HashSet();
         tagSet = (Set)request.getAttribute(PhotoConstants.REQ_RELATED_TAGS);
         Iterator i = tagSet.iterator();
         while(i.hasNext()){
         String tagName=(String)i.next();
    %>
    <a href="/outlook/photo/keywords?keywords=<%=URLEncoder.encode(tagName)%>"><%=tagName%></a>
    <%if(i.hasNext()==true){%>,<%}%>
    <%}%>
    I am getting following output:
    NY , sky , Sports & Recreation , clouds , New York City , New York
    Expected Output:
    NY, sky, Sports & Recreation, clouds, New York City, New York
    I want space after a comma, not befor comma...
    Any help is really appreciated..
    Thanks
    Deepti

    <% while(i.hasNext()) {
        String tagName=(String)i.next(); %>
        <a href="/outlook/photo/keywords?keywords=<%=URLEncoder.encode(tagName)
        %>"><%=tagName%></a><%if(i.hasNext()==true){ %>,<% } %>
    <% } %>I think this is an html whitespace thing... try moving your code around to look like what's above (ie move the end of line to inside your scriptlet tag)
    Code looks OK...

  • Unable to set the selected value for a ADF LOV

    Hi,
    I am developing an application using jdeveloper 10.1.3 and Struts.
    I have created a ADF LOV on my JSP Page as given below:
    <html:select property="lob" onchange="javascript:selectLOB(this.form)">
    <html:optionsCollection label="prompt" value="index" property="lob.displayData"/>
    </html:select>
    When i submit the form, i am able to get the value of the selected Value in the List.
    JUCtrlListBinding listBinding = (JUCtrlListBinding) formBean.get("Lob");
    Row r = (Row) listBinding.getSelectedValue();
    String SoLob = (String) r.getAttribute("LobLob");
    But i am unable to set the selected value back in the list when i return to the form again.
    I tried the following:
    int x = listBinding.getSelectedIndex();
    listBinding.setSelectedIndex(x);
    It would be really helpful if some one could let me know what needs to be done.
    Thanks,
    Subashini

    Gyan,
    I tried with the code you suggest , its trying to set the value of a field, but my requirement is to change the property for
    "Rendered" on the field so that based on search parameters we can hide result table column.
    After searching online, I modified the controller code as follows
    1.Created a new transient attribute (Testrender) with type "Boolean" and always updateable.
    2.changed the "Rendered" property value on the field I want to hide as ${oa.PoSearchVO1.Testrender}.
    3. Modified the controller code as follows :
            OAApplicationModule am = pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
            OAViewObject testvo = (OAViewObject)am.findViewObject("PoSearchVO1");
            OADBTransaction txn = am.getOADBTransaction();
            if (testvo != null)
              OARow row = (OARow)testvo.first();
                if (a.equalsIgnoreCase("Approved"))
                     row.setAttribute("Testrender", Boolean.FALSE);
                else
                     row.setAttribute("Testrender", Boolean.TRUE);
            } But now when i run the page and populate the search field and click "Go" its hiding the field but throwing the following error and the search results are also bad.
    Its using only the value of one search parameter but not the second one .
    The search cannot be executed because the table has pending changes that would be lost. I think the vo is getting dirty when I update the transient attribute value. So I used txn.rollback ,then search is working fine but its not hiding the field.
    So can you please let me know how to proceed from here ?

    I am able to deploy & access its index page properly in OC4J ( applicaton server on soa suite 10g ) and apache tomcat.
    But when i deployed same war file in weblogic am not able to access its index page, Getting below error:
    Error 503--Service Unavailable
    From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    *10.5.4 503 Service Unavailable*The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. The implication is that this is a temporary condition which will be alleviated after some delay. If known, the length of the delay may be indicated in a Retry-After header. If no Retry-After is given, the client SHOULD handle the response as it would for a 500 response.
    status=Prepared, Consolidated State=Prepared, Target-Specific State= Prepared.
    what does Prepared indicates here?*
    Adminserver.log prints blow log when i try to access the index page

    In weblogic 10.3.6, when you deploy using console, you have to click on start button which appears in Deployments page.
    Your weblogic.xml file should be as below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <wls:weblogic-web-app xmlns:wls="http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-web-app" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-web-app http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-web-app/1.3/weblogic-web-app.xsd">
    <wls:weblogic-version>10.3.6</wls:weblogic-version>
    <wls:context-root>/logs</wls:context-root>
    <container-descriptor>
    <index-directory-enabled>true</index-directory-enabled>
    </container-descriptor>
    <virtual-directory-mapping>
         <local-path>/opt/oracle/logs</local-path> (as per your path)
         <url-pattern>/logs/*</url-pattern>
         <url-pattern>*.log</url-pattern>
    </virtual-directory-mapping>
    </wls:weblogic-web-app>
