Urgent: XSQLRequest Usage in Stored procedure

Hi Steve,
I have developed a java stored procedure and published it as required to be called from a trigger.My java code uses XSQLRequest to read the .xsql page.
Earlier i was not able to resolve the java code which i had written but some how i finally was able to resolve the code and publish as stored procedure.
when i run my stored procedure it writes output to the file as intended but it reads as follows:
Oracle XSQL Programmatic Page Processor 0.9.8.6 (Technology Preview)
XSQL-003: Failed to find 'XSQLConnections.xml' file in server CLASSPATH.
XSQL-004: Could not acquire a database connection named: pnet
XSQL-007: Cannot acquire a database connection to process page.
since the stored procedure runs inside the oracle server and all the java classes are inside the oracle server i'm unable to comprehend this error.
it says to have the XSQLConnections.xml file in my classpath but what do i do to change the classpath and which one since i'm running the code inside the oracle server how do i specify the classpath?
sorry if this sound silly but i'm confused and may be u can help me with this.

loadjava -u username/password XSQLConfig.xml
this will load the xml file as a resource
into your server classpath.

into l_tws_id

with a simple "return 1;" statement in the function definition and create this package in the database.
By dragging and dropping the function and the procedure within the package in the dataset designer you can reproduce my findings.
The code I've given you is a part of the code generated by the Oracle Developer Tools!. The complete code is quite lengthy, so I didn't include it.

URGENT: Java stored procedure on oracle 92 database is not working

I am having an issue regarding java stored procedures. I have created a java class that uses the bouncycastleprovider ( bcprov-jdk13-141.jar ) to encrypt strings. I tested against the version of the java virtual machine that comes bundled with oracle and it works perfectly. I then used JDeveloper to load the class on the database with the resolve, noverify and order flags checked and it shows no errors but when I try to execute the stored procedure it throws the following exception:

I also did a select on the user_objects table and all the classes are in VALID status.
When I run my application using the java virtual machine that is located under C:\Oracle\oracli9i\jdk\jre\bin directory it works fine but when I try to execute on the database it won't work. I found a bug that was if the jce1_2_1.jar file existed in the C:\Oracle\oracli9i\jdk\jre\lib\ext directory ( even if it's extension is renamed ) it won't work because the certification file had expired but I don't know if this has anything to do with this error.
Am I missing something?
Please I need an urgent solution to this problem.

URGENT: I want to pass a variable to a stored procedure at run time

I work for a health care provider and I have reports that pull PHI (Protected Health Information) about patients that needs to be logged according to federal HIPAA regulations. One of the pieces of information that needs to be logged is the username of the person who ran the report. Since these reports will be run from our Crystal Enterprise server I can get this from the CurrentCEUserName variable but I am looking for a way to pass this value to a stored procedure that will not only return the records for the report, but also log the disclosure in our PHI disclosure tracking table. I know you can pass a parameter to a stored procedure but I dont know how, or if it is even possible, to pass a run time variable. This is an urgent problem that I need to find a solution for. Any help would be appreciated.

Here it is. Right now, when i press te "Go" it runs for the specific time i've set and when its done the variable "Run" is set true. When i call this VI from another VI it waits for the loop to be finished before it will read the variable.

Try logging in to SQL*Plus and running the procedure, e.g....
SQL> begin
database_procedure_name(update_web);
end;
If it runs OK there, then it should run from within your form (provided that you are logged in as the same user as the test with SQL*Plus.

Very urgent - Parsing stored procedure error !!!

We tried to migrate a SQL server 7 database to an Oracle 8.1.7 database using the migration workbench. We had successfully captured the SQL server source model. But
when we tried to create the Oracle model,
the following error occurred for some stored procedure :

This error occured even when we reparse the

Improve the performance in stored procedure using sql server 2008 - esp where clause in very big table - Urgent

I am looking for inputs in tuning stored procedure using sql server 2008. l am new to performance tuning in sql,plsql and oracle. currently facing issue in stored procedure - need to increase the performance by code optmization/filtering the records using where clause in larger table., the requirement is Stored procedure generate Audit Report which is accessed by approx. 10 Admin Users typically 2-3 times a day by each Admin users.
It has got CTE ( common table expression ) which is referred 2 time within SP. This CTE is very big and fetches records from several tables without where clause. This causes several records to be fetched from DB and then needed processing. This stored procedure is running in pre prod server which has 6gb of memory and built on virtual server and the same proc ran good in prod server which has 64gb of ram with physical server (40sec). and the execution time in pre prod is 1min 9seconds which needs to be reduced upto 10secs or so will be the solution. and also the exec time differs from time to time. sometimes it is 50sec and sometimes 1min 9seconds..
Pl provide what is the best option/practise to use where clause to filter the records and tool to be used to tune the procedure like execution plan, sql profiler?? I am using toad for sqlserver 5.7. Here I see execution plan tab available while running the SP. but when i run it throws an error. Pl help and provide inputs.

You've asked a SQL Server question in an Oracle forum. I'm expecting that this will get locked momentarily when a moderator drops by.
Microsoft has its own forums for SQL Server, you'll have more luck over there. When you do go there, however, you'll almost certainly get more help if you can pare down the problem (or at least better explain what your code is doing). Very few people want to read hundreds of lines of code, guess what's it's supposed to do, guess what is slow, and then guess at how to improve things. Posting query plans, the results of profiling, cutting out any code that is unnecessary to the performance problem, etc. will get you much better answers.

Urgent! Call stored procedure from jdbc vs. call from sqlplus?

Hello I met a strange problem when using JDBC (to Oracle). I have a stored procedure mypack.myproc, which updates a table (only one row and one column in the table). I found that when I called the procedure directly from sql*plus, like:

the value is 2, which is correct.
However, if I call the procedure from with in java via jdbc, the value become 591 (which is ridiculous), the jdbc call looks like:

Hey buddy, it's you again. Just let you know that you are right. The problem is caused by mis-match between jdbc date and oracle date (that procedure is used to do some date calculation). My co-worker suggested me to add this statement in the procedure, and it did solved problem:

Hi Kesavan,
PRINT is just an SQL*PLus command. If you want to capture your output you'll have to assign it to an OUT parameter in your stored procedure then return is that OUT parameter to your callableStatement.

I will try to find out exactly what that stored proc is doing. They are saying this stored proc simply gets the values from database using inputs. No insert, delete or update.
I am too thinking that sending inputs is giving problems.
If you have any idea how can i format the inputs please let me know. Do you think any problem with driver??
I did know the same is working in cold fusion fine. Basically it takes three values as inputs and gives 8 out put vaues. In cold fusion they formatted input such that
AS/400 can under stand.
In Cold Fusion they formatted as follows,

I'm new to OCI Programming. My requirement is to pass an array to a Stored Procedure.
In Stored Procedure this input variable is of type VARRAY.
I'm following the approach given below.

I encounter an error in OCITypeByName (this function call fails)
Can anyone provide me some sample codes
Also pls provide information if there is a better approach to be followed in this regard.

Make sure you created the type correctly in the database using SQL DDL.
You can verify that from sqlplus

URGENT!!! a way to find out if Oracle stored procedures have OUT parameters

I'm having problemes properly creating a string for the prepareCall().
so that i can call up a stored procedure in oracle.
the problem is that some stored procedures have OUT parameters that I have to register, and some stored procedures don't.
how can i find out if a stored procedure has an OUT parameter or not?
So that i can format a string with one less ? for statements that don't,
and one more ? for statements that do have an OUT parameter.
is there such a method as boolean OUTparameterExist();
or i'll take any suggestions.

URGENT: Passing Array from JSP to a Stored Procedure

Can some one please help me understanding how can I pass array from JSP page to a stored procedure in database.

I tried ArrayExampla.java and was successful in passing array values to the stored database procedure.
How can I use this class in JSP? Like I have first JSP where in I will collect input from the user and then submit it to the second JSP - that needs to call the ArrayExample.java to pass the values as array to the database.
How should I call this java code in my second JSP?

Stored procedure Issue in VC - Urgent

Hi all,
I am trying to insert a new record in a SQL Server database, using a stored procedure.
I am inserting this new record from a popup iview, in which the data service is configured.
But when I try to insert a new record, I am getting an error "No value was assigned to parameter(@ParentId)", where ParentId is the first parameter in my stored procedure.
I am using flex 2.0 runtime from EP 7.0 SP13.
Can anyone help me out?

Hi,
that field is missing the mapping of the input fileds
Check the mapping b/w the input form view or the form form where you are inserting the record to dataservice.
