URL button among items not passible, why?

Hi,
I'm trying to put an URL button among items, but it's not possible. The only places available are left, right, up and down region. Why?
How can I position an URL button among items?

Create your button selecting the option: Create a button displayed among this region's items. (the second choice)
This will create a button within the items of your region and not require you to pick Top, Bottom, Left, Right or the like.

Unable to open up another web browser when using a button among item

I am trying to call another web page(pop up window) with button displayed among items, the problem is there is not place to put a URL redirect. I could only do it with a button not displayed among items by putting in URL javascript: openPopUp(); which is calling a function which is in the HTML Header of my page.

Did you try to add the link in the button Attibutes property ?
Button>> edit >> attribute : onClick="javascript:window.open('f?p=&APP_ID.:14:&SESSION.::NO.:::','Popup','width=800,height=500,scrollbars=1,resizable=1');"

Yes, that's what I do but it seems a bit odd.
Also I wonder why buttons are shown between the items, but when you click "edit all" you see all items except the buttons.

Individual mail items not viewable, why? (just updated to iOS6)

when I open up individual mail items all I get is the subject and who sent the email. The email itself is blank, but the preview had showed text so I know it should be there. Have just updated to iOS6

Region position vs. among items buttons

Hello,
Can someone from the HTML DB team, please, explain the logic behind the different functionality between these tow types of buttons? Why can't/shouldn't I use URL Redirection for example with the 'among items' button? I searched the forum for JavaScript and buttons, and it seems to me like it could help a lot of us to be able to call JavaScript directly from a button among items.

In retrospect, if I were to do this today, I would probably not even bother creating a button template, I would just create a display as text item with no label and nothing to display and just manually put the button in the Post Element Text like

Javascript Button Among Region Items

I would like to add several buttons (which would call popupURL) among my region's items (next to the items they reference).. When I go to add a button, I have two options:
1. Create a button in a region position:
2. Create a button displayed among this region's items:
I want to use (2), but in this option, I cannot set my button to "Redirect to URL without submitting page" which is what I think I need to do to incorporate JavaScript.
Also, within the Help, I am not getting a clear description of what the "Request" value does/means/is in option (1).

This is a well known issue with buttons among items. I believe that the simplest way to deal with it is to define your own buttons, using the Post element Text field of your referenced item. Just use something like this:
<input type="button" id="xxxx" value="yyy" onclick="JS_Function()" />The "Request" is an internal built-in variable that the system automatically set, each time you press a button, to the button name (and NOT the button text label). This helps the system to identify which button was presses, and act accordingly. The main usage for users is, probably, the option to condition validations and processes according to a specific button press. The main advantage of using "Request" is that the system is setting and clearing its value automatically. If you'll create your own buttons, as I describes earlier, the "Request" value is not relevant.

URL buttons not working in Powerpoint

I have just created an Xcelsuis report and exported this to Powerpoint.
Now it opens up fine in Powerpoint, but my URL buttons do not work (they do not open the excel files i want, i.e. My button is URL: C:\Test\Test.xls)
When exporting to a pdf format this URL button works fine.
Please can you advise how I can get this working for my Powerpoint.

When you export the SWF to your desktop or into a PPT it will not have permission to access external data by default (or call a URL).
You need to add C:\Program Files\...\PowerPoint.exe as to the list of trusted items using the Adobe Global Security Settings Manager, see the Xcelsius Release notes for more information about the Flash Player Security...

Buttons among region items and branching

I've got a page with many buttons that are supposed to simply branch to their respective pages. I used buttons among region items so that I'd have control of placement withing each region. After clicking on the first button that branches to its correct page, the other buttons branch to that page as well even though I have branches set for each button.
What am I missing?

Also, arranging them all on the page was a headache. I'm almost there but have had to create empty regions just to space things out because I don't understand how to space buttons out. I can with items, but buttons are a new one. I'm leaving at noon today to visit my sister and brother in law in your favorite city (no not really - not San Diego...LA) so I want to wrap this project up as much as I can before I leave.

in miro, there is 1 refresh button at the bottom.
when i create invoice with reference to PO, i need to click this button to make the miro display po line item amount and quantity. later i need to click deselect all button and select the line item that i want.
may i know how to directly select the line that i want with amount and quantity displayed instead of do several steps as mentioned above.
also, the button name is misleading. why it is called delete items not selected?

Open URL button not working on MAC CP 5.5

ok I have so far worked on captivate 5 for PC published
all my software and made a distributable cd version all works fine.
now I downloaded the free trial version 5.5 for Mac and I was able to keep the open another project working fine by publishing as SWF but for some reason the open URL button which opens a web page seems to do nothing I can hear the click but nothing opens. Any idea why?

Go to the Apple store it has a warranty which they fix or give you a new iphone. You could up to a certain time buy the $99 Apple Care Plan. Much better than going to Verizon and getting a refurbished iphone. Never use Verizon for your iphone.
Go to the Apple Store and you will be much happier that you did.
They repair the phone and your not getting someones elses problem phone in its place.
Even if Apple charged me I would rather pay them then go through Verizons jump through hoops.
The Apple Store can tell you via calling them or going to the store. You have a one year manafactures warranty from Apple go to them.

Getting error message in debug "Page contains page items/buttons which are not assigned to a region!"

I created a form and when I submit, it goes through but there is no "success" or "failure" message on Apex. I tried debugging it and got this message:
"Page contains page items/buttons which are not assigned to a region!"
I looked at the page definition and it seems like everything is assigned to a region. Much appreciate your help.

For your message, the relevant branch needs "include process success message" to be checked - and a value in success/failure in your process.
Check the submitting & landing page for items not in a region. Under the items section there may be items listed separate to those under specific regions.
It's possible these are related, but not guaranteed.

Move the Cache.db (or ApplicationCache.db) file from the com.apple. Safari folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac. Launch Safari. Try the back button.
~ (Tilde) character represents the Home folder.

Get URL button not shown in IE

button shows up in Firefox on PC, but the button itself is not even
shown in IE 6 on PC. How can i fix that?

No it doesn't.
If I go to that folder afterwards, it is all in alphabetical order.
If I am working in Quickbooks, Mail or QuarkXpress and go to a folder from those programs the folder is out of order and I waste a lot of time
searching through the folder looking for what I want. This never used to be a problem until the last couple of months.
