  • How to access Datasource tag info (struts-config.xml)  in POJO

    Hello friends,
    I am doing a project in struts.I have stored the database connection information in data-source tag of struts-config.xml file.This is the code.
    <data-sources>
    <data-source>
    <set-property property="autoCommit" value="false"/>
    <set-property property="description" value="oracle Data Source"/>
    <set-property property="driverClass" value="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"/>
    <set-property property="maxCount" value="10"/>
    <set-property property="minCount" value="2"/>
    <set-property property="user" value="system"/>
    <set-property property="password" value="manager"/>
    <set-property property="url"
    value="jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:gd"/>
    </data-source>
    </data-sources>
    Now I want to access this data in POJO.I know how to use it in action class but unable to use it in POJO.To access it in action class , the code goes like this....
    ServletContext context=servlet.getServletContext();
    DataSource datasource=(DataSource)context.getAttribute(Action.DATA_SOURCE_KEY);
    Connection con=datasource.getConnection();
    Can anyone tell me what to do?.Any help will be highly appreciated.Thank you in advance.

    You will need to use the JSR 88 API to access deployment descriptor configuration.
    See the Programming Deployment for Oracle WebLogic Server documentation for more information.

  • Forward tag in struts-config.xml file

    Hi,
    Well.. I am a newbie to Struts. Not exactly a newbie but have done little bit of work in it. I am stuck at a particular point. I am sure you can help me..
    The <forward name=abc path=/abc.jsp /> in struts-config.xml is used for redirection. In the action class the abc is used in the findforward method. But this can be used only when you want to simply redirect a page to another. I want to do the same but I want to redirect the page using a query string.e.g http://servername:port/abc.do?val=123 something like that. How will I do this?
    Thanking you in Advance

    Hi,
    The RfcAdapter trys to find a Sender Agreement for this RFC call but the lookup failes. The values used for this lookup are:
    Sender Party/Sender Service: The values from Party and Service belonging to the sender channel.
    Sender Interface: The name of the RFC function module.
    Sender Namespace: The fix RFC namespace urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions
    Receiver Party/Receiver Service: These fields are empty. This will match the wildcard

  • Reg customization tag in netuix-config.xml

    In <netuix-config.xml> we can set the customisation tag to false. But when i set it so, build and create a desktop in admin consolde, when i view the desktop , page is not getting loaded. But am able to run it thru .portal file(file based).
    But when i give customisation as true and localisation both with true and false is working fine(desktop page is coming).
    Any idea what went wrong?
    Thanks in advance

    That customization tag has to be set to true be able to be able to view a desktop created in the admin console (whether that desktop is customized or not).
    Another way of looking at the tag is that it tells the framework whether to use the database or not. If the setting is false, then the database is not used, and the system will only process .portal/.book/.page/.portlet files on the file system.

  • Forwarding to an action using the struts framework

    hey people,
    in struts we write something like
    <forward name="abc" path="/xyz.do" contextRelative="true"/>
    for an action
    and to forward to that action we use
    return mapping.findForward("abc");
    My problem is that i want to forward to the action xyz.do action without specifying the forward tag in struts config i.e without giving
    <forward name="abc" path="/xyz.do" contextRelative="true"/>
    any idea how i can forward to the action directly without giving the above tag. also i dont want to give the forward tag in global forwards.

    you want to forward to another action without declaring that forward in the struts config? we use MVC frameworks to avoid having to write all that sort of code. what are you trying to achieve that can't be done by configuring the forward?

  • What to put in the action tag of an HTML form

    hi everyone,
    I would like to use a standard html form (not htmlb) in my jsp page.  I need to call back the component, but I don't know how to build the url and put it in the action tag.
    Thank you
    Mariana

    Prakash,
    thank you very much for your help so far, but it is not working.:(
    I am putting the package.classname of my controller in the componentURI.setContextName("com.ba.portal.barcode.controller.BarcodeController");
    the action attribute becomes:
    <form action="/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.ba.portal.barcode.controller.BarcodeController">
    Unfortunately the same error occurs.  I am using eclipse to "par" up the files, and the name of the par IS Barcode.par, meaning "projectname.par".
    Is there maybe a way to send the url of the controller as a parameter to the jsp?
    Thank you in advance.
    Mariana

  • Object would have more then one attribute with the tag :VALUE

    I'm creating a new component in Ultiboard - a 100 pin connector.  This connector (Hirose) has 4 rows of 25 pins. Alternate rows are staggered. I'm trying to name each pin with it's appropiate name: A1, A2, A3 ....A50. Then B1, B2, B3 .....B50.
    When I change the VALUE or NUMBER attribute, I get the DRC error  message:
    This action cannot be completed because the resulting Object would have more then one attribute with the tag :VALUE
    Please remove one of the attributes and try again.
    Okay, so I've tried deleting the tag and now I can't name the pin at all.
    What am I missing?

    You should be in the footprint editor to edit the pin name.  Select tools>>Database>>Database Manager, highlight the component in your database and click on the Edit icon.  In the footprint editor, double click on the pad and a SMT or THT pin Properties dialog appears, select the Attributes tab and highlight the Number row, press the change button and you should be able to change the pin name.

  • Role Attribute Rule - with arguments?

    Hi all,
    Is there any way to specify arguments to role attribute rules?
    Seems like the xml-dtd it expects specifically discourages use of any arguments to the rule being called for any attribute.. Any feedback on this?
    Thanks,
    Adi.

    Never mind, I found out that:
    Each role-attribute-value could be determined by a rule, but no arguments can be specified. That means a separate rule must be created for each such role-attribute, but the good thing is all rules can be clubbed together in one file (easy to maintain) under the <Waveset> ... </Waveset> tag.

  • Indesign library drag drop looses xml attributes of Table tag

    Hi all,
         I have created a Table with 1 row and 3 coloumns, I have text in all 3 cells. I have attaced xml tags to cell text and after that I have added attibutes to Story tag, Table tag and Text tag.  I have drag this table frame to Indesign library to save it for further use.
         When I tried to drag it back to document the Table tag attributes are missing. This is happening on Indesign CS4 Win and Mac.
    I have saved required information in the xml attributes of table tag and since its attributes are missing after drag from library I am not able to use library of Indesign.
    Is this an issue with Indesign CS4?
    -Rahul Dalvi.

    Hi All,
         I am still waitng for the reply. I have attached 2 files here, first one is the Indesign document 'TableXMLTags.indd' having a tagged table. second one is the Library file 'TableXMLtagLibrary.indl' in which I have draged table from 'TableXMLTags.indd'. When I tried to drag that table from library to any document it just loses attributes of Table tag. Here each tag has 3 attributes attached to it.
    I am using Indesign CS4 on Windows and Macintosh.
    Please let me know if there is any way to avoid tag attribute loss.
    Thanks,
    Rahul Dalvi.

  • Use of Role Attributes

    Can anyone explain the use of the role attributes found in PFCG change under Utilities/Info Objects/Display Attributes.
    I found 4 related tables:  AGR_ATTS, AGR_FLAGS, AGR_FLAGSB, and AGR_LSD.  How are these tables populated?  Can additional attributes be added?

    Hi Kathy,
    An answer from SAP: for your requirements "sensitivity of the roles, SOX approval identifier, etc." the role attributes are not a good way to start. Especially for your requirements SAP has created a new business unit <a href="http://www.sap.com/solutions/grc/index.epx">Governance, Risk, and Compliance</a>.
    The SAP Compliance Calibrator is ment to manage risks and controls in SAP systems. The standard functionality does not provide in depth functionality for this.
    Without any extra tools I would suggest using the free text description field of the roles for the type of documentation that you want to do currently.
    Best regards,
    Christian
