Usage of triigers in my application

HI,
I wanted to know the feasibility of using trrigers in my web application.
In my aaplication i have total of 6 triggers for 6 different requirements (one for each).
In my trigger, i am inserting two rows in a table (say A), on insert of a row in another table (say B).the data in the
trigger is fixed for some columns and other columns are fetched from some other table (say C).
I wanted to know whether i will see any complications in future if i use the above approach except the fact the tables
should not be mutating.

We are not necessarily looking for performance data but how many times a bsp and/or function module is called. The idea is to try and determine how many calls are made to SWN_WIEXECUTE BSP via a URL (http://<hostname>:xxxx/bc/bsp/sap/SWN_WIEXECUTE/MAIN.DO to track a usage of a new workflow approval/rejection process.
We also want track how many calls are made to SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE function module to track approval/rejection of a workflow process via Portal UWL.

CPU apparent usage of 100% when no applications running.

Quite frequently, and all day so far today, I have indications that the cpu is running at 100% even though no applications are running (it also shows that when they are and they don't seem particularly affected). I have tried putting to sleep for a period with no change, and then re-start, again with no change. I shut-down every night to economise, etc., and that after running Onyx to do a pretty full check and housekeeping under Automation in case anyone thinks that relevant.

If you check All Processes in Activity Monitor and there doesn't appear to be a culprit process, it may be that the SMB daemon is repeatedly launching and crashing, only to launch itself again, over and over. Try turning off Windows File Sharing in the Sharing pane of System Preferences and then turn it back on and see if that resolves the issue.

Site Web Analytics - no usage data being generated

Hello all:
I have a SharePoint Foundation 2013 farm with 2 WFE - 1 Search Server and 1 DB server. Search Service Application has been configured and functioning properly. Usage and health Data Service Application has been created and started. Usage
data collection is enabled and the "Analytics Usage" check box is checked. Usage Data Import and Usage Data Processing timer jobs are scheduled and run successfully.
But, I still get the following error when I go to the Site Web Analytics "A web analytics report is not available for this site. Usage processing may be disabled on this server or the
usage data for this site has not been processed yet."
After doing some research, some folks have suggested the following which has to do with manually enabling the receivers via powershell - which I have done but still no report and same error.

Other Internet searches indicate that Web Analytics Reports is no longer available in SharePoint Foundation 2013:

There is also a TechNet question which indicate that "Microsoft Support confirmed me there's a bug in SharePoint Foundation 2013 in the Database that's going to be fixed in the June or August CU"

But, there is no resolution if this bug has been addressed or not.
Therefore, I would really like to know what the deal is with this issue. At the moment, I do not see any usage data being generated on any of the SharePoint Foundation servers in the farm.

Find a same issue internaly which says that the links Site Web Analytics is no longer valid in SharePoint 2013 Foundation due to the changes in analytics service application architecture, so you may need the SharPoint enterprise edition for using
this feature.
Symptom
- Recently, we upgraded to SharePoint Foundation 2013 from WSS 3.0. In SharePoint Foundation 2013 sites, we see the option to click on Site Web Analytics reports but when we click on it, we get an error.
- Clicking on Site Web Analytics reports from Site Settings \ Site Actions produces the error: “A web analytics report is not available for this site. Usage processing may be disabled on this server or the usage data for this site has not been processed yet.”
- We have ensured we have logging enabled (multiple categories)
- Example Site: http://sharepoint2/sites/IT/Projects/SAP/_layouts/15/usageDetails.aspx
Cause
By Design
1) The links in Site Settings from a site collection are no longer valid in SharePoint 2013 (due to change in Analytics Service application architecture changes...part of Search Service now)
2) SharePoint Foundation 2013 does not support Usage Reporting Analytics
Resolution
o Purchase a license for SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise, and build out a farm for it (the Foundation SKU cannot be upgraded in-place to Server).
o Once built up, you could copy your databases over and attach them to the Server farm and do your cutover.
o Going forward from there, you would be able to have access to the Usage reports.
Also as you have found that msdn blog with the explenation that it is not available in SPF 2013.

Satellite L850 - after 1 year of usage battery runs out quickly

Hi, through programs such as care or BatteryBar battery battery I see a Toshiba Satellite L850 *battery wear from 48%* currently. I notice that playing a game the battery runs out quickly, as the warm up by a lot, and often descalibra and behaves erratically.
The laptop is a year old. Is it normal for the battery to wear so much in so little time?
Would you accept a guarantee or battery replacement can claim wear caused by misuse?

First of all you have to know that battery working time depends on the notebook usage.
Running heavy performance applications like a game would discharge the battery much quickly. Why? Because parts like GPU and CPU and cooling modules run at highest performance and this needs power.
Also using the notebook with highest display brightness would discharge the battery faster.
You should also know that every battery would start to loose own performance after about 500 charging cycles. This is nothing unusual and will happen to all batteries.
To avoid or to slow down this process, its recommended to calibrate the battery from time to time.
Calibrating means charging and discharging the battery fully.
Charge the battery until it would be fully charged, then disconnect the AC adaptor and keep the battery discharging until its fully empty. Repeat this procedure 2-3 times in the row.

Flash 8 Application consuming lots of Memory!!

Hi There,
I just developed an Application using Flash 8 Professional.
Unfortunately Im finding a bad memory usage when i run the
Application. Visual Studio acts as the container for the SWF. The
memory usage rises upto 80% and its really not acceptable.
The application is an e-learning software with heavy graphics
and animations. Is it because I have a lot of images and
animations? because in the code I just have a maximum of 12 sound
objects, which I have not deleted upon exit. Sould I optimize the
code used? I mean the parts that involves "=new object( )"?
If the problem is with graphics, is there any alternate way
to adjust it?

     Here is some query about JVM performance in case of JVM memory usage is high.
     I have a server of 16GB. For JVM 12GB and for OS 4GB.
     Let say, My Application creating many Unnecessary Objects and consumes very high memory.
     Also, there is a gaurenty that limit of memory is it never exceed 2GB.
     No, in worst scenario memory used by JVM is 2GB.Ok.
     I have free memory available for JVM is 10GB(16GB - 2GB - 4GB(any OS memory usage)).
     Now, for any Application processing I have 10GB.
     So, does it affect application processing for which I have 10GB.
     I mean does JVM performance decreses in high JVM memory usage even I have occupied more memory to JVM.

Drive space usage is greater that sum of folder space

I just created a new boot disk and then restored files from Time Machine. didn't restore everything, which would have amounted to about 248 GB. But when I look at the information (Get Info) for the drive under Devices is is currently showing that the space being used is 334,733,254,656 bytes (334.73 GB on disk)
I checked the information for each of the folders and files in the root directory and the sum of there usage is roughly 90 GB:

15,963,571,487 bytes (16.55 GB on disk) for 160,773 items

12,062,054,006 bytes (12.17 GB on disk) for 20,478 items

The other folders don't show much usage.
I restarted the computer and it still shows the same thing.

Mba usually got 99.8% cpu usage

hi! i am start using my 13", 4gb ram mba a few weeks ago, but recently the mba usually got up to 99.8% cpu usage, when i got no application on background.
I have tried upgrading my os to the newest 10.6.8, but nothing change.
This also cause my cup temp reach ~70C usually, and the fan spinnning with speed of 6400.
Can anyone figure out whats the problem? many thanks:)

Click on %CPU to see which App is causing the problem.

Number of hits to an HTMLDB application

Hi,
I would like to know if there is an option in HTMLDB where I can find out how many people have logged into my application in a single day. This will give an idea of the number of hits we have for our application in a single day. Also, if Iam able to get information like - what is the LOB (Line Of Business) of the person whoâs logged into the application, it would be great !

Login to your workspace, and then from the "Workspace Administration" region on the right side of the page, select "Manage Workspace", then select "Monitor Activity".
This page has a variety of reports on it that show usage of your HTML DB applications.

Java Profiler for RMI Applications

I am looking for a profiler to monitor the bottlenecks and the memory usage when running my RMI application.
What would you recommend to use and a comprehensive tool

Couple of thoughts on scaling:
1. Change the mx setting to 1200m -- this is the most you can scale a single instance on 32-bit
2. Use a 64-bit platform you can set memory settings really high (AIX/Solaris)
3. Multiple servers with planning on it using a load balancer

It is very diffilult to obtain a summary of your Skype Credit usage history. I want to know how much each call cost. I found it on this website:https://secure.skype.com/account/usage I noted my Skype call credit was used in a very short period and I wanted to know which calls were responsible for this. It's almost impossible to find this information using the Skype Desktop Application. Calls marked "Special Services" were responsible for these costs. I wish Skype would be able to clearly mark calls which have expensive rates. I use a subscription with phone calls, but these "special service" calls are not anticipated and unexpectedly used all my Skype Credit. I am asking Skype to make it easy to get your Skype Credit Usage History, using the Skype application.

I have installed SMD. By startind "Agent Administration" from SMD, I get the application list of SMD Agent.
I am editing a guide to explain each application of this SAP SMD Agent. I get an explanation for 10 of 22 applications.
But I miss details regarding the other ones :

CVP - VXML ports / application Utilization Monitoring

I would like to see if we can monitor VXML port / application Utilization in CVP (the exact ports usage & also monitor on which application how many callers are) thru SNMP or any other options that can be used for tool based monitoring rather than running status.bat file in the CVP root folder manually.

We have few OID's in the Cisco-CVP-MIB, which would give us the port utilization statistics but i do not see anything pertain application level statistics.
Yes, we have an option to write power-shell script a call the status bat file and log the data for reporting. However this seems to be performed by only within the CVP server. I mean, the script can be executed locally in CVP servers and not remotely ?!
Am looking for an option that can be used remotely from the third-party monitoring tools ! Any ideas, please ?

Object usage in 11g

hi all,
We know that we can put monitoring usage on Indexes.
But here I wanted to have the same mechanism for sequences. Does anybody know that oracle has feature to monitor any other object usage or anything else?

And review developer access policies and just who is in charge of managing the data objects in the relevant application schema.
If this is just to satisfy a morbid curiosity about the sequence usage, you can search for code using that sequence via DBA_SOURCE and look through the cursor source code in the shared pool (e.g. select * from v$sqlarea where upper(sql_text) like '%MY_SEQ%' ).
