USB support for National Intruments Measure for windows

We currently use measure to comminicate with instruments and to return data in to Excel spreadsheets using the GPIB and Serial add ins for Excel. More and more instruments are moving away from these two forms of communication and are using USB connections. Is there a suitible add in to be able to communicate using the USB connection that will work like the GBIB and Serial addin's for measure.

The best way to communicate with USB devices is through NI-VISA, i have included a link within this reply that has some information on how usb devices, measurement studio and NI-VISA can all be linked to communicate data efficiently.

Please use CUNI t code for creating unit of measurement. Please follow any exist Unit of measurement and replicate the same. This is a configuration so will have transport requirement

My thought is to make a PDF quote form that our sales guys can use. Here are the reasons:
Consistency
They frequently need to combine quotes with pdf brochures
Branding Protection
Here are my questions:
Once completed, can my sales guy save it as static to deliver to customer?
Do form fields allow bullets?
What is possible with distribute?
What is possible with submit?

When a form is flattened with Acrobat, the form field appearances are made part of the regular page contents and the interactive fields are removed. It looks just like it did before it was flattened, but the user is no longer able to interact with any form fields. You can flatten in Acrobat using PDF Optimizer, Preflight, or JavaScript. If you set the fields to read-only, it will look just like it did before. It would be easier for someone to change the field contents, which often makes this approach less desirable than flattening.
When the last digital signature field in a document is signed, the user has the option of locking the document. You can also preconfigure a digital signature field so that it will lock the document when signed, it just involves a bit of JavaScript.
When you distribute a form, the idea is that it gets send to a number of recipients, usually by email, so they can complete the form and submit/email the form back to you. You don't have to do this unless you want to use the data collection mechanism that's built into Acrobat (Tracker).
A form can be set up to submit just the form data to a web server, and one of the data format options is "HTML", so the data is sent in the same way that an HTML form does.

Java usb support for windows

I do no know if this is the right place to post this topic, but does anyone know of an api that provides usb support for windows. I was looking a jusb, but the documentation says it only has support for linux. So far the best I have found is Mr Stahl's thesis which provides very limited support for windows. I was wondering if there was anything more stable (free or not)

Im trying to connect 2 computers using USB or Parallell port. On one computer I want to install a printer (regular windows printer) that prints through either USB or the Parallell port. On the other computer I want to listen on the Parallell port/USB port and receive the input and write it to a file.
Does anyone have a some sample code to do this? I've tried the following code (rxtx) but it cant find more than 2 ports (one parallel and one serial - no USBs even though I have 5 USB ports). Since I could only find the USB I tried to listen on the Parallell port. Problem is that I dont receive any data.

Support phone number or chat for Kinect for Windows v2? 3D Builder won't work

I have a Dell Inspiron 5000, Xbox One Kinect and adapter for use of the Kinect sensor with a Windows PC. The sensor works fine or as well as can be expected on the Xbox One. I've tried using it with 3D Builder which is the first app that Microsoft
offers for the Kinect with PC after connecting it and downloading the drivers. Unfortunately, it says that my rate is too slow so I was looking for support to see if this is an Inspiron issue or not. The USB 3.0 ports may or may not support the
bandwidth but I can't really tell.
Does anyone know if there is a support number or chat area for Kinect for Windows as I keep getting transferred to the Xbox group and no one there seems to know anything about Kinect for Windows? I'll also settle for if anyone can tell me if there
is a problem with that application or the Dell Inspiron 5000.

The technology 3D builder is using requires a very specialized graphics card to be able to work at full speed. Laptop systems typically only can achieve the very minimal amount of processing which will work but very slowly.
If you have a desktop system with an NVidia GeForce GT 670 or other in the same processing class of GPU's you should be able to achieve 30fps. Otherwise with lower end or laptop based systems even the highest end Alienware we have seen ~27fps. My experiences
have been typically anywhere from ~1-8fps with Intel Based on-board gpu's(4000 series), ~15-22fps with mobile NVidia GT 750M chipsets and 23-30fps with GeForce GT 760 desktop system.

Need Chipset Driver for USB support

Hi.
This Windows XP-SP3 PC has 4xUSB2 or 2xUSB3 on-board ports, and all have failed. All USB devices are yellow-flagged in device manager.
I have run SFC \SCANNOW and it runs to completion, and I have tried right-clicking on a yellow-flagged USB entry in Device Manager and selecting Update Driver, but that only results in the following dialog:
Cannot Install This Hardware
There was a problem installing this hardware:
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
An error occurred during the installation of the device:
The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF file was written for Windows 95 or later. Contact your hardware vendor stop
It has been suggested to me that I should try to obtain the Chipset Driver for USB support. Running Speccy reveals the following about the mainboard:

USB Support For 2TB+ Hard Drives

Can anyone tell me if the T-61 supports (access the drives full capacity) multi-terabyte hard drives?
Under XP?
Win7?
I.e. 3 TB Sata drives in a USB 2.0 external enclosure..

There are no (realistic) limitations as of now for how big an USB-drive can be, that I know of. I admit, I haven't tested anything larger than 2TB, but that works fine, single partition, no problems whatsoever.
The only "problem" being, of course, that the T61 only supports USB 2.0, which isn't really the quickest - unless you have a FW-port, of course.
EDIT: This is valid for Vista (and I assume Windows 7) - dunno about XP, but I have a feeling it might be a bit more picky...

USB Support for RT

The only functionality of RT USB is mass storage. It would be helpful to add at least RAW Data USB support to use USB port for connecting i.e. USB / RS232 adapter. Many analyzers use integrated serial/USB converter chips to transfer data to PC, because no need of specialized driver (you get the driver with the chip). The ability of RAW USB support allows to connect these analyzers to cRIOs and RT PC Targets.

For VxWorks-based cRIO devices, we do support a USB-Raw functionality. You configure the USB device through MAX and you are then able to use NI-VISA to communicate with the device; it then requires the end-user to write a "driver" to communicate with the device using NI-VISA. It's fairly easy to do, but can be a support nightmare if you don't have the detailed spec sheet on the device. We're currently looking into options for providing this for PXI and Desktop RT systems.
I am not sure how "no specialized driver" fits in with "you get the driver with the chip" - USB/RS232 adapters generally use a USB-Serial bridge inside them, usually an FTDI or Prolific chipset. FTDI does not provide open source drivers, though someone reverse-engineered the device and wrote a driver in Linux that "supports" it - we would not be able to support FTDI devices under RT because there are no available open-source drivers for it (that's intentional on the part of FTDI). Prolific devices could be supported, at extra cost and development effort to port the Prolific drivers to RT. Just because a driver is "included" with a device for Windows doesn't mean it's not a "specialized driver" or that we can even use it on a platform not supported by the manufacturer (like RT).
We are always looking at ways we can improve LabVIEW Real-Time, and due to common request this is one of the areas we're investigating.

I agree with teh OWC sggestion above, but why must it be USB powered? I find that far more unreliable, and the low power devices slow.
I'd frankly get a good external enclosure and buy a bare drive. But the OWC stuff is quite good - vastly better than some of the majors (WD being aprime example of stuff that's boderline quality and often not compatible)

Hi,
You can configure a Windows server 2008 NLB cluster with up to 32 nodes. However,
scaling beyond 8 nodes will cause a slight performance hit because the network traffic is broadcasted to every node and only one NLB node accepts the connection.

I need to be able to change the output range each time I execute a Task using
Measure for Windows. Is this possible?

It is not possible in Measure. What I usaly do in Excel is built a small macro wich take care of changing range after every input from Measure.
