Use data input form in workflow

Greetings,
I need to input some fixed asset information from FI-AA master data in a data input form and route through a workflow process before finally update the asset master data. Does anyone does something similar before? Is it technically possible? Is there any guide available here.

Multiple reports in same sheet used as input form

Hi,
I am using the Excel EPM Add-In and I would like to use different reports in the same sheet, going with the same connection to the same Planning Book and Data View in APO DP. I would like to use them all as an input form (I already checked 'Use as Input Form in the sheet options). When I try to upload adapted data from the first report, this works well, but when I try this from the second report, I get the error 'There is no data to save'.
Can anyone help me on this issue?

Hello Hassan,
I'm not sure if I completely understand your question, but I suppose you always have to do the following steps:
- Log on to the system (your usual SAP user and pw)
- Create a report:
- Choose the characteristics you want to see and always take the Key Figures (Row Axis) and Time (Column Axis) into the report (in the example, I only took the Product characteristic)
- Click on the dimensions you have chosen and select what you want to see in your report (I often take 'All members')
- Press 'OK', normally you should now see the data you chose.

GP doubt in Data Input form

Hi Experts,
I have a doubt in GP Input Data Form callable object.
When i insert a callable object of type "Data Input Form" and test it.
It should display Input box and a button only. But i'm getting "Edit/View Attributes Values" and below i'm getting the input box, button. (u can view in following link https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d027c966-b6de-2910-0681-cdb0be7e1b59 )
My question is, How to avoid "Edit/View Attributes Values"?

Hi,
You are creating Data Input Form callable Object. The template for Data Input Form is provided by SAP. So you can not change the template. It is fixed.
Which Service Pack are you using? The screen short within the link (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/1f589ed1-0c01-0010-9988-e3a67384acd9) are taken from SP7 or before that. But from SP8 onwards you will not get that type of Data Inout Form template. So I think you are using SP8 or nowards. Now staing on your current SP level If you want to hide the "Edit/View Attributes Values" then you need to create your own (custom) Form either using Web Dynpro Application or VC application.
Please set your requirement which technique and which SP you will use.

Supporting Detail in Data Input Form

Hello,
I would like to ask except HSP_Object, hsp_column_detail and hsp_column_detail_item these 3 tables store data of Supporting detail, is there any other table store it? Because I would like to know which data input form contain supporting detail. I can't find it in these 3 tables.

Can I query WMI using Data Collection Form ZCM 11 Sp2

I'm very new to ZenWorks and I'm trying to query WMI from the Data Collection Form in an admin defined field.
I read somewhere that you can query WMI in a similar fashion to querying a registry key but not getting results.
Any help would really be appreciated.

Using dates and forms

Hi,
I have a typical form where members can register for
membership. I wanted to add an element where the user doesn't have
to enter the date and time but it is automatically submitted when
they register. I think this should be done with hidden fields but I
have no clue. Can someone help me please? Thanks

Let the database do it for you set the date field to default
NOW()
and it will insert the date with out the user or form

ADF 11g Date input

I am using date input component in ADF 11g.
This component let u select only date. but I want the user be able to select date and time as well.
which date component should I drop on page ?

All you have to do to see it in action is give your ADF BC EO date field the type of Timestemp instead of Date, and possibly add a nice format mask under the UI hints like: yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss
But, I do not have Entity Object in my application. ADF page was generated as part of "right click BPEL Human Task ---- Auto generate ADF Task Form".
How do I have time as well in this case ?

Ios7, Numbers problem on data input

On both iPhone and iPad2, in Numbers, when I input data using the 'tab' screen,( sorry, not sure of what you call it), and use down arrow to go to next cell, the cursor disappears and will only come back if I come out of that screen using the left or right arrows at the bottom or click 'Done' then go back to the input page. Very frustrating and slow! Any answers?

As I've had no response, I had better clarify: this problem only started after 'upgrading' to iOS 7 and is happening on my iPad 2 and iPhone 5. It happens in Numbers when using the Input Form method of adding data to the spreadsheet. So I add my data to one field and want to add data to the next field: previously all I had to do was click on the down arrow or next, but now when I do that, the cursor disappears altogether and the only way I can get to the next field is to come out of that 'input form' by either clicking on the right arrow and then going back to the input form or clicking done and then returning to the input form.
I have tried going through Apple Support but just end up in blind allies.
Can I also say that I find the iOS 7 upgrade to be awful and frustrating and wish I hadn't done it on both my devices, don't get me started on the draining of the batteries!

Close popup data input window once CREATE button pressed?

Hello,
I have a data input form opened as a popup, it contains 2 buttons (CANCEL & CREATE). The cancel button just uses the javascript:window.close(); command and works fine. The CREATE button creates the record correctly but when it tries to close (using a branch with the same javascript command as the create button), it fails and I get the following:
The window doesn't close.
It gives me the error: Cannot find server. The page cannot be displayed.
Does anyone know how I can close the popup form after a new record has been successfully created.

I think it does not work because you cannot close and submit a page at the same time. One idea is to create an empty page, and add this code to the Page HTML body attribute:
onload=window.close();
Then make the popup page branch to this page after submit...

ActiveSync Input Form -- To take AD Resource name from Database column

My authorative source is a database table called dbTable.
I am using an input form to provision into Active Directory. The Active Directory resource name is stored in a dbTable column. I first tried to hardcode the name of AD and do the provisioning, it worked. But wen I tried to take the name of the AD from my dbTable column using

Hello, first try to trace the value, using <ref>activeSync.resourceName</ref> should work,
also read the example in Identity Manager documentation (PDFs) called: "Example: Disabling Accounts through ActiveSync Capable Adapters"

Variables to a BI Query from input form and chart?

I have a query (QUERY A) to which I connected an input form to define the variables. The output is a chart which tells us a status overview.
Now I want to use the input form as well for entering the variables for QUERY B. This is no problem as the variables are passed through correctly. However, I also wanna filter on status by selecting the status in the chart. This does not work unfortunately.
Situation:
INPUT FORM ----------> QUERY A ---------------> CHART----------------------------
                                  |                                             |
                                  |                                             |
                                  |                                             |
                                  ----->QUERY B <--------------------------------
                                              |
                                              |
                                              ----------->OUTPUT (VARIABLES FROM INPUT FORM AND CHART}

Hi Jan,
I suspect that you are only partially passing the variables in two separate select events. You should be able to meet your requirement with the following approach:
1) Connect a select event from the output port of the form to the input/variable port of Query B. In the input parameters reference both the relevant form fields AND the chart fields you want to filter by;
2) Connect a select event from the output port of the chart to the input/variable port of Query B. In the input parameters reference both the relevant form fields AND the chart fields you want to filter by;
In other words, each select event link should reference the same fields from both the form and the chart.

For changing a report to input form, go to sheet options. Select "Use as Input Form". Refresh.

Use of oledb database connection in input form of process

I've created dynamic pdf form with data connection to mssql database and with script that automatically adds rows to table and fills fields.
When I try to open this form as input form for my process in workspace it generates an error: Unable to create SOM expression. That means that sql database connection works not properly.
How can I fix this? Is it possible to use data connection to oledb database in the input form?

I have a form that includes db connection (OLDB ->Access). But in
workspace I have an error while initiating it. The error is an Adobe Acrobat message;
"Unable to create SOM expression $record.tablename.fieldname"
I am using Acrobat 9 pro ext. and when I use reader then there is no problem.
I removed enhanced security settings in preferences of Acrobat. What else i can do? Any suggestions?

How to combine data from different input forms outside a nested iView

Hi,
i try to combine data from different input forms in a single one.
Because of space reasons in Flex compiling i already use nested iViews. Within these nested iViews its possible to use the 'combine' function to do this.
But in the main iView I cant compose these function with other elements. I need to do this because of using these model in Guided Procedures with output parameters. These parameters I only get with a 'endPoint'. Unfortunatly its not possible to combine data from different input forms into the 'endPoint'.
Is there any solution?

Hi Scott,
i tried this already and i also tried to map all parameters in the endpoint by drawing lines from the other forms and assign the 'empty parameters' by a formula.
And when i create a collable object in GP and assign the VC iView, only the parameters of the parent-form (the form who trigger the event) are shown as output-parameters.
Maybe any other ideas? I cant believe that such a simple thing is not possible?!?!
In my opinion, thats a bug, that I'am not able to use the combine-operator in the main VC-iView. Whats your mind?
