Why when I try to import an object from repository into the design center of Warehouse Builder, no objects are imported and when I save all this error message is shown:

In this way, I can't import any object from repository and the only way to create a new object is to create it on Design Center and then deploy it. It's so boring creating table or views adding a field by hand...

The issue may be a bit more complex than just missing roles. If a target schema has been rebuilt (i.e. dropped and recreated) you will need to re-register it as a valid location with it's local runtime repository.
I have, on a couple of occassions, had problems re-registering a user through the GUI if that schema was not unregistered prior to being rebuilt. Make an OMBPLUS connection to the runtime environment on the instance where your target is located, and re-register it with:
    OMB+> OMBCONNECT OWB_MGR/OWB_MGR_PWD@YOUR_HOST:YOUR_PORT:YOUR_SRVC USE REPOSITORY 'OWB_MGR_SCHEMA'
    OMB+> OMBUNREGISTER USER 'TARGET_SCHEMA' IDENTIFIED BY 'TARGET_SCHEMA_PASSWORD'
OMB+> OMBREGISTER USER 'TARGET_SCHEMA' SET PROPERTIES (DESCRIPTION, ISTARGETSCHEMA, TARGETSCHEMAPWD) VALUES ('TARGET_SCHEMA', 'true', 'TARGET_SCHEMA_PASSWORD')
    OMB+> OMBSAVE
    OMB+> OMBDISCONNECT

  • Do we hav to create a separate repository for Designer Repository??

    Hi
I have created a repository using a Repository Assistant. Do we have to create a separate repository for Designer Repository??? If so, how do we create a Designer Repository??

    Hi,
The basic installation of OWB paris makes a repository owner and a repository user for you.
This owner serves as the design repository owner as well as the runtime repository owner.
For creating your mappings and deploying and executing them you just need to associate a target schema with the repository owner which you can do from the repository assistant from within the design center.
I hope you are talking about OWB paris and I have been able to guess your question correctly.

  • Adobe CS4 Design Center Premium Installation issues on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (RTM)

I am in the process of moving my systems to Windows 7; as part of that I have attempted to install the Adobe CS 4 Design Center Premium version that I purchased on August 16th.  Thus far my experience with this has been disappointing.
My previous system (Windows Vista x64 Ultimate) was running Adobe CS 4 Production Premium version without problems.  Upgrading this to Windows 7 worked just fine (so, Win 7 upgrade over Production Premium worked.)  However, for unrelated reasons I decided to reinstall a fresh version of Windows 7. and the Adobe CS 4 Design Center Premium version in question.
What I observe is a highly repeatable failure during installation, in which as soon as I get to the phase where it displays "Currently installing LangPack(English) for Device Central" and then dies.  Applications are half installed at that point (I can actually use most of the tools, which is why I keep setting this aside to look at it later.)  This was a clean system and Adobe CS 4 Design Center Premium was the first thing I tried to install on the box.
Since that failure, I have tried to install it on a completely different system (my laptop) running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and experienced the same error.  The desktop system is a Dell, the laptop is an HP.
The event log indicates a generic "event ID 1000" error.  The detailed information shows that something returns STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER (0xC000000D) as an exception, which is not handled and the program then dies.

In attempting to find a work-around (since I would like to be able to actually use everything here) I have tried to run the installer in compatibility mode - both XPSP2 and Vista SP2 mode.  Both fail in the same fashion.
At this point I've now installed a post-mortem debugger (WinDBG) and will attempt to capture more information about the specific failure.  I am hoping that someone has seen this issue previously and has found a successful work-around.  I see that others have installed the Master Suite version successfully and I suppose that is one potential solution to the problem that I may explore if i cannot get this package to work properly.

Additional information that I have collected (the wonders of a post-mortem debugger):

Thus, this appears to be related to WoW64 behavior in some fashion.  I am unfamiliar with NtWaitForWorkViaWorkerFactory, so I'm not sure why it would be returning STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER.
So, I've collected a mini-dump for the process, but it's 300MB.  In the unlikely event someone is interested in analyzing it, let me know and I'll gladly provide it.
I'm now wondering if I should re-wipe this drive, install Vista, Adobe CS 4 Design Center Premium and then upgrade to Windows 7.  But that is a lot of effort to work around an app compat issue.

  • How to extract Business Rules in OWB (Design Center)

    Hello All,
We recently inherited an OWB project without any documentation. Can anyone tell how best to EXTRACT the business rules within the Design Center Client? Is it even possible to get this info from within the tool? We are trying to put down some documentation and really need to know rules used to load the tables.
    Thanks so much

    Try this http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/cmgr_admin/ch07s03s01.html
"To remove a business rule or ruleset from an application after you deploy the business rule or ruleset, make it ineligible for deployment by clearing the check box next to its name in the Deployment View. Then you can perform a full deployment of the application by right-clicking it and selecting Deploy."
As you've already deleted rule from Calc manager try to create empty rules with the same name (if first full deployment wouldn't help)

  • How to open the OWB Design Center in Linux

    Hi All,
Currently, our OWB10.2. is installed in the Window2003 server, I could login the servers and go to Program -> OWB -> Design Center to open the Design center and create my own project or mapping.
We just install OWB 10.2.0.4 in a Linux Ret Hat server, I don't know how to open the Design Center from the Linux.
Should I open it from the Linux server(How), or I could remotely launch the Design Center from my PC (Window XP) to create my project (actually try to migrate project from the weindow2003 server to Red hat Linux server)?
    Thanks
    Kevin

    Hi David,
I found the file and executed it, but got this list of errors, do you have any idea?
    Thanks

  • Does the apple site have anything like Adobe's design center?

    Hi All,
I'm new to FCP studio2 and would really like to learn motion and the enitre FCP studio package- pronto. I've been using flash and imovie forever but I am in a bit deep with my new set of tools.
    Two questions:
    1) Does Apple have anything like Adobe's communities/design center?
    http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/
    2) Which online learning video tools do you reccommend to get me making movies, fast?
    thanks....

my bad, I think I just found it.

  • Design Center Logon

    Hi,
Its a minor issue, but has anyone noticed how the Design Center Logon window loses focus when you start up the Design Center?
I'm used to typing my password straight in just like SQL*Plus and every other tool around ...
I'm running the OWB client on XP.
    Cheers,
    Brad

Thanks Joe, but no luck on my side, I've tried both connection types and it still happens.
I'm running OWB 10g Release 2 as well. I think I'll have to live with it :)
    Regards,
    Brad

  • Running OWB Design Center in X Windows

    hi,
i'm trying to run the latest version of the OWB Design Center in X Windows using X-Win32 V.7.0 on my Windows XP box.
OWB is installed on Oracle's Enterprise Linux.
The design center window comes up after logon, but it is all greyed-out, as if it were hanging for some reason.
Are there any settings on the owb or xwindows side that need to be tweaked in order for it to run smoothly?
    Thank you.
    - Kenny R.

reason. All greyed-out? Not your root window, is it? Been running Cygwin to a Solaris box - no problems. If it's not your root window, then possibly it's something to do with your X-client, rather than on the desktop side.

  • Is it possible to force 16/32-bit stack alignment without using the optimizer?

The compiler emits code targeted at the classic Pentium architecture for the -m32 memory model.  I'm running into problems mixing Sun Studio compiled code with code built with other compilers because the other compiler builds under the assumption that the stack is 16-byte aligned.
The only way I've found to force Sun Studio to comply with that restriction is with -xarch={sse2a,sse3,...}, but this causes the code to pass through the optimizer.  As noted in the documentation, if you want to avoid optimizations you must remove all flags that imply optimizations -- that is to say, there's no way to disable optimizations once enabled.  This should not, however, be treated as an optimization because it's an ABI requirement.
I've scoured the documentation, spent many hours googling, digging through forums, and asking questions.
The best I've come up with is the -xarch option which is sub-optimal because it has side effects.  I tried -xchip=pentium4 (this is what my other compilers have set as their default target), but the generated code doesn't force 16-byte stack alignment.
Is there a way to force the compiler to emit code conforming to a different ABI without using the optimizer?
    -Brian

    Thank you for your response.
I hope you won't mind my asking: do you have a way to prove that it's not possible to force 16-byte alignment without using the optimizer?  I ask because your username / profile don't give the impression you work for Oracle, so while I think you're probably right it's at least possible that we're both mistaken.  I haven't been able to find any documentation on either stack alignment or altering the targeted ABI short of using the -xarch flag, and even there the details are fairly sketchy.

  • Use of structures in queries designer

    hi experts,
using structures in  Bex query designer increase the performance of query??

Nope, using structure has nothing to do with increasing  the performance of query execution time. Actually if you use two structures and use those structures to create cell, that would have adverse effect on performance.
    thanks.
