Use of response.encodeURL in an href?

I am trying to use an encodeURL within an href and can't seem to get it working.
I have a list of options on a page and based on the users seleciton I want to call a differnt servlet.
Here's my code:
<a href="<%= response.encodeURL("login-action") %> Download Signer and Key Generator software</a"></a>

This method, Encodes the specified URL by including the session ID in it, or, if encoding is not needed, returns the URL unchanged.
The implementation of this method includes the logic to determine whether the session ID needs to be encoded in the URL. For example, if the browser supports cookies, or session tracking is turned off, URL encoding is unnecessary. This info was extracted from Servlet API docs.
You can test this by disabling the cookies in your browser and say session="true" in your jsp's page directive.
You haven't closed your anchor tag (<a>) properly, so your link is not working.
Try,
<a href="<%= response.encodeURL("login-action") %>">Download Signer and Key Generator software</a>

    The above is not possible....Bean works only for Sender channel and not for Receiver.....requirement not possible using even a BPM as FILE does not support SYNC communication in receiver end......max you can do is split the scenario into SYNC-ASYNC bridge.

  • Error when creating Oracle12c PDB using DBCA response file in silent mode

    I am getting an Oracle dbca NullPointerException when trying to create a PDB (Pluggable Database) usingdbca response file in silent mode.
    I have a Oracle 12c CDB up and running, listener is also up, $ORACLE_HOME and $ORACLE_SID are also set correctly.
    After database install and creating CDB using response files, I am now trying to create a PDB using dbca response file. Contents of dbca.rsp -
    [GENERAL]
    RESPONSEFILE_VERSION = "12.1.0"
    OPERATION_TYPE = "createPluggableDatabase"
    [CREATEPLUGGABLEDATABASE]
    SOURCEDB = "orcl"
    PDBNAME = "dev"
    CREATEPDBFROM = "DEFAULT"
    PDBADMINUSERNAME = "oracle"
    PDBADMINPASSWORD = "oracle"
    CREATEUSERTABLESPACE = "true"
    I tried following commands:
    dbca -silent -responseFile /<file path>/dbca.rsp dbca -silent -createPluggableDatabase -responseFile /<file path>/dbca.rsp
    Both give same error:
    ---- Begin output of /u01/app/oracle/product/12c/db_1/bin/dbca -silent -responseFile /<file path>/dbca.rsp
    STDOUT:
    STDERR: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException
    at oracle.sysman.assistants.dbca.backend.CommandLineArguments.processResponseFile(CommandLineArguments.java:6885)
    at oracle.sysman.assistants.dbca.backend.CommandLineArguments.process(CommandLineArguments.java:4544)
    at oracle.sysman.assistants.dbca.Dbca.execute(Dbca.java:110) at oracle.sysman.assistants.dbca.Dbca.main(Dbca.java:184)
    However when I pass exact same parameters as command line arguments, dbca works absolutely fine and PDB is created: Following command runs succefully.
    dbca -silent -createPluggableDatabase -sourceDB orcl -pdbName dev -createPDBFrom default -pdbAdminUserName oracle -pdbAdminPassword oracle -createUserTableSpace true
    My environment need installation using response files only. I had used a dbca response file with "createDatabase" option for CDB and it worked fine. Error is observed only when I run it with OPERATION_TYPE as "createPluggableDatabase".
    There is an option to create PDBs along with CDB creation when OPERATION_TYPE is "createDatabase". But Oracle does not give flexibility to name PDBs in this option. If I ask Oracle to create 3 PDBs, it will name them itself like PDB01, PDB02, PDB03 and so on. This doesn't work in my deployment because of applications compile time dependencies on specific PDB names.

    Yes, I am pointing to correct response file. I have two of these. One for "createDatabase" and another one for "createPluggableDatabase".
    While the first one works absolutely fine, the one which creates PDBs always gives error.
    I tried renaming the response file like dbca_dev.rsp for PDB install but same error message. I read in another forum that rename dbca.rsp is not a good idea.
    So I kept it as dbca.rsp but built it using PDB template.
    When I try after removing -silent, it tries to launch a UI installer. Since I am in Amazon AWS platform, my instance is CentOS based which doesn't support Xwindows display.
    I am stuck with -silent install only. When I try with -progressOnly, I get exactly same error.
    Also tried removing some parameters but still get exact same error message.
    Tried same trick with "createDatabase" response file, now I see parameters missing error message.
    It seems like Oracle doesn't like response file install for "createPluggableDatabase".

  • Download CS6 Master Collection using Request / Response code - Is Legit?

    I purchased a download copy of Adobe CS6 Master Collection and am wondering now if it is legit. It's instructions go like this.
    Download from mediafire.com something called "Adobe CS6 Licence PREACTIVATION.rar"
    Unpack it and run "Adobe CS6 Licence PREACTIVATION.exe"
    Log onto Adobe.com and sign in using the userid [email protected] and the password included in the purchase
    Go to Download CS6 products
    Download the two files for CS6
    Run the smaller of the two files to install the collection
    When asked for a serial number enter "1325-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-3266" (obviously the "x"s were numbers)
    A dialog appear during the install containing a links saying "Click on Later and Install CS6". Select it
    Complete the installation
    Start Photoshop
    A dialog saying "Having trouble connecting to the Internet" appears. Click on the offline activation "Generate Request Code" link
    Take the generated request code and send it to an e-mail address in Turkey.
    The e-mail address in Turkey would reply with the response code which I could then enter into Photoshop
    Does this seem legit or have I been scammed?
    I asked the Turkish user some questions.
    Can this be installed on two computer which I think is common for such Adobe products? Answer: No
    Assuming the answer was yes, must I use this response code method for each installation? Answer: Yes
    Can CS6 be moved to a new computer in the future? Answer: Must use response code method
    After a successful activation using the response code, Belarc Advisor listed a different serial number. Can I use that number and bypass the response code stuff? Answer: No
    Thank you, Brian

    Hi Ned, your answer is correct. I finally connected with Adobe support and they confirmed that the version sold to me is a beta copy and not a valid product. I think that I'll go have some e-words with the seller and their craigslist ad marked as fraudulent.
    Brian but not

  • I am having trouble getting buttons to work in Captivate 8 trial version using a responsive design template. Any suggestions?

    I have a trial version of Captivate 8 that I am evaluating to determine if it will be an option to replace a software we currently use. However I am having a lot of trouble getting even the simplest of tasks to work using the responsive design template. To troubleshoot I created 2 projects 1st a completed empty project using responsive design and a 2nd blank project using the blank project template. I created an audio file that the button, when pressed, will play. I can place a button on first slide of both projects, rollovers work fine, but in the responsive design project buttons will not work to trigger the action. Is this a known issue in the trial version?

    A Blank project is a normal cptx-project, not a responsive project, it has no breakpoint views like a responsive project, it is meant to have always the same layout but on publishing you can choose to have it 'rescale' automatically.  A responsive project allows you to create slightly different layouts for the three breakpoint views: Primary (desktop/laptop/landscape on tablets), Tablet (portrait on tablet) and mobile (phones, where the browser has much lower resolution than the real phone resolution). The 'look' of a project, whether it is responsive or not will be defined by the Theme that is the default theme at that moment, and with the default theme colors that you have at that moment. I think in newbie mode the default theme is White (not sure, never used newbie mode). If you choose another theme as default theme, a blank project and a responsive project will open with that theme applied to it. All themes coming with CP8 are responsive, but you can use them also for normal projects, in that case you only use the object styles for Primary view. Each object style normally has 3 versions, for the 3 breakpoint views.

  • How use Email Response to +1000 profile?

    Hi,
    We have a requirements business, which our 1000 users will left use webmail/outlook. These users will only use Siebel to send/receive emails, but each employee we'll use a email account, so we'll have 1000 profiles using Email Response.
    Oracle Support don't recommend use a huge number of profiles. But they don't recommend another solution.
    ANYONE ALREADY IMPLEMENT THIS TECHNOLOGY? HOW CAN I USE SIEBEL, WITHOUT USE A OUTLOOK OR A WEBMAIL???
    Features:
    Siebel 8.0 - Windows 2003 Server - SQL Server 2005.
    EMAIL Server - Send Mail server using POP and SMTP protocols.
    Thank you!
    Roberto Ohara

    If you know how to have an email sent to you as the site owner, then you know how to have another email sent to the submitter, its the same code with some different destinations.  So for example, if you have this for your script (assuming php) to process the information to be sent to you
    $fname = ($_POST['fname']);
    $lname = ($_POST['lname']);
    $email =  ($_POST['email']);
    //Sending Email to form owner
    $header = "From: $email\n"
    . "Reply-To:  $email\n";
    $subject = "Submission From My Form";
    $email_to =  "[email protected]";
    $message = "name: $fname . $lname\n"
    . "email:  $email\n";
    @mail($email_to, $subject ,$message ,$header ) ;
    You could simply change it to this: The email, header subject message have a _sub added to it to differentiate from the origianal script. I have also taken out the variables since they are already on the page.
    //Sending Email to submitter
    $header_sub = "From: $email\n"
    . "Reply-To:  $email\n";
    $subject_sub = "Submission From My Form";
    $email_to_sub =  "$email";     /*      This has been changed to the email address of submitter*/
    $message_sub = 'Put whatever message you want here.';
    @mail($email_to_sub, $subject_sub ,$message_sub ,$header_sub ) ;
    Now with both scripts, the owner and submitter get an email.

  • Firefox 33 doesn't display a pdf file when using the response object

    Firefox 33.0.2 does not display pdf files when using the code below from an asp.net program, which works for previous versions of Firefox, and also works with IE. I'm using the built-in pdf viewer. All of my plugins are disabled.

    Thanks cor-el. You pointed me in the right direction. It appears to me that a reported Firefox 33 bug with the handling of compression (Transfer-Encoding: chunked) is the culprit (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1026743). I was able to find a work-around by specifying the file size and buffering. Below is my code, with some code from http://www.codeproject.com/Questions/440054/How-to-Open-any-file-in-new-browser-tab-using-ASP.

  • Installation of client 10.2.0 using a response file

    Hello Everyone,
    I have no clue if I'm posting in the right Community but I need some help installing the Oracle Client 10.2.0 silently on a Computer. Right now my response file was created using the setup.exe /record /destinationFile myPath but was missing the dependency i wanted to install. So I added at the end of the file

    oracle.winprod:DEPENDENCY_LIST = {"oracle.winprod:10.2.0.1.0","oracle.oo4o:10.2.0.1.0","oracle.odbc:10.2.0.1.0","oracle.ntoledb:10.2.0.1.0"}
    My dependency get installed but I keep getting these errors :

    That is were I'm stuck now.

    The (earlier) referenced instructions say "+For installations on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, you must use the software specifically designated for these operating systems. ...+"
    Unfortunately the OTN download link only lead to software removed message page.
    Where do they keep "archived" or previous versions nowadays? I remeber they kept at least a few releases back available.
    Maybe edelivery.oracle.com ? Only option I can think of, other than submitting SR for media to Metalink.

  • Double click now required to use survey response buttons - why?

    If you click on a response button in a Benchpoint survey, the answer defaults to the first choice on the response list. A Double click is now required to hit the right choice.
    This is confusing respondents who have been used to a single click for years.
    What re-coding information can you give us?
    The URL below is a sample survey which demonstrates the problem in (Firefox 4 only)
    Thanks

    This is related to the new HTML5 parser in Firefox 4. It is a bit stricter than the parser in Firefox 3.6. You can confirm the difference by toggling the parser off.
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the filter box, type or paste '''html5''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click '''html5.parser.enable''' to toggle it to false (it will turn bold).
    Then reload the problem survey page and test again.
    I think the problem is that there is a label tag around the entire table containing the radio buttons. If you choose View Source, press Ctrl+f, and search for '''&lt;label&gt;&lt;table''' you will see what I mean.
    To test the effect of removing those label tags, you can copy this bookmarklet and paste it to the address bar on a survey page and press Enter to run it.
    javascript:var lt=document.querySelectorAll("label &gt; table"); for (i=0;i&lt;lt.length;i++){p=lt&#0091;i&#0093;.parentNode; p.parentNode.insertBefore(lt&#0091;i&#0093;, p); p.parentNode.removeChild(p)}; void 0;
    That fixes it for me. Does it work for you?

  • RoboHelp HTML 11 - If I publish using a responsive HTML5 layout, will the output be available to users who want to view it offline? Or does it require an internet connection and a browser to view?

    I am writing help content for software that has two essential components - one web-based and the other a locally installed app (our users work in both). I need the help documentation to be available from both and I wanted to use the new responsive HTML5 layout to make it accessible from a PC, tablet or smartphone while publishing from a single source, but the locally installed app allows users to work offline so I need the help to also be accessible when a user works offline. Is this covered with responsive HTML5 publishing or do i need to publish the documentation to an application help viewer as well?
    I apologize if there is an obvious answer to this. I am new to this and I have already checked the RoboHelp user guide and the FAQ and forum to try and find the answer.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi there
    While I agree with Jeff that CHM is a bit long in the tooth, it's still extremely viable. The only real issue with it is that it's PC only. Specifically, Microsoft Windows PC only. So that rules out Android and other platforms.
    Yeah, HTML 5 is like the cool new kid on the block that doesn't play by the regular rules. But also like that same kid, it is a bit unpredictable. If it were me, I'd maybe experiment with WebHelp. ESPECIALLY if you have a fondness for customizing the look and feel of things. WebHelp customizations are so much easier to implement than the HTML 5 stuff in RoboHelp. I'd rather be forced to stick red hot needles into my eye sockets than to have to deal with that type of customization in RoboHelp. Not to mention needing to have a really good grasp of CSS and HTML 5 coding as well as RoboHelp Widgets. There are probably fewer than ten folks on this planet that can easily handle this.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Using Request,response objects

    these are the 2parts of my code in Dotnet,i have to convert it into java
    1) request.ContentType = "application/x-www-form-urlencoded";
    // Set the content length of the string being posted.
    request.ContentLength = postByte.length;
    2) response = (HttpWebResponse)request.GetResponse();
    stream = response.GetResponseStream();
    i am trying the above using HttpServletRequest request,but i am not able to do
    can any body suggest this
    Thanks in Advance

    What are you trying to do? The method you want to call will be probably be on the response object: setContentType(), setContentLength(), and for the stream to read: request.getServletInputStream() or stream to write out: response.getOutputStream.
    It depends what you are trying to do really. You should be able to get those objects (request and response) from your servlet methods like "processRequest(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)".
    Hope that this helps you a little.

  • Using ocm response file with opatch auto

    I am going to be installing the psu 6 for 11.2.0.3 GI and database. In the patch set update readme file Oracle Grid Infrastructure Patch Set Update 11.2.0.3.6
    (Includes Database PSU 11.2.0.3.6) - 16083653
    It says that the ocm response file is not optional so I created the response file successfully.
    My GI installation is owned by user id "grid" my database home is owned by user id "oracle".
    Does it matter which user that I used to create the ocm response file? I was logged in as oracle when I ran ./emocmrsp -no_banner -output /home/oracle/config.rsp
    I understand that I will invoke the opatch auto while logged in as root but just not sure if the response file is user environment specific?
    Any suggestions appreciated.
    Thanks.
