Use of third part Middleware for Certifying Integration

Hi ,
We have a third party middleware(open source) which we want to certify for integrating with SAP. This middleware uses JCo to connect to SAP.
Hence my idea is to
1 . Identify some standard business case scenarios in SAP(PR Create, PO Create and GR create) for showcasing the integration points. We would be using IDoc and RFC as the API in SAP.
2. We are also planning to build a ThirdParty application( might be in Java) which would be used as the target system.
3.We would be using third party open source middleware to connect between the Third party application(Java built) and SAP System.
We are planning to certify this under "J2EE-STD 7.0 deployment certification based on the SAPNetWeaver7.0" .
My question, Is this approch certifyable? If not what approch should we take?
Comments on this approch would be highly appreciated.

Is it possible to delete the fusion drives' standard partitions to be able to use the SSD part only for the OS?

Like the question suggests, I'm thinking about purchasing one of the new 27'' iMacs and I'm wondering if I'd be possible to repartition the 3TB fusion drive to use the 128GB SSD part only for the OS.

Recognising a third-part driver for 'Ingres' database

Hi,
Great product, SQL Developer. I use it a lot, recommend it to everyone.
I am trying to connect to an 'Ingres' database. I have the JDBC driver jar file. I have gone to preferences -> Database -> Third party JDBC driver -> Add Entry. From here, the dialog files the driver jar file.
I clicked 'ok' at this point, but this does not allow me to create connections. I guess I need to point SQL dev at the actual java class file with the driver. (like 'com.oracle.JdbcDriver' etc)
So I used the 'Add Entry' dialogue to look inside the jar file. But this still does not recogise the driver classes.
The driver are connection details are ok, I can use it from other tools besides SQL Developer.
Any ideas appriciated!

when having a look at the SQL Developer 3.0 data sheet it states:
With SQL Developer, users can connect to any supported Oracle Databases including Oracle Express Edition. Users can create database connections for non-Oracle databases IBM DB2 LUW, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Sybase Adaptive Server and Teradata for object and data browsing and migration.
=> So I don't think Ingres databases can be linked from SQL Developer. Squirrel might be an alternative.

IMap and Google recognition when using a third part domain with forwarding

Hi,
I have iWeb and have brought a domain name from Godaddy. The Godaddy domain is set to forward to the .Mac account so I can easily edit the information with iWeb - however, I have registered the site with Google (a few weeks ago now), but it still doesn't show, even if I type in the domain exactly and search.
I am tempted to get iMap, but it says something on the introduction about it may not work well with forwarding although doesn't make it clear what it actually means...?
I have heard that possibly iWeb can publish to FTP, meaning I can do it straight to my domain name, but will I only get one page, or can it create new pages.
I'm stuck, any explanations or help would be very much appreciated.

Although I have still specified for Godaddy to forward my domain using the usual function which I have had enabled before - I haven't touched the masking section.
Is this right? I guessed I had to keep it forwarded, because just changing the @ symbol to web.mac.com wouldn't know what site to forward it to??
Also, will iMap now work to get me recognized in Google?

Has anyone had problems with Domayne using generic third party RAM for memory upgrades? My RAM is now faulty and had to be removed, but Apple wont replace it under Apple Care because its not a genuine component?

The computer was purchased in the knowledge that all components and hardware were genuine and subsequently covered by the Apple Care warranty.
Domayne replaced the genuine components (8GB stick) with generic components (2x 16GB sticks) to save money and boost margin.
Apple should not allow this misleading, profiteering behaivour. This behaviour is brand damaging. Apple must maintain more control over their supply chain.
Has anyone had any expirenece with this problem?
Has anyone made Domayne or other third party resellers acountable for this misleading behaviour?

Stick with Brand name RAM and reputable distributors. Mac is finicky about low quality RAM

Third parties tools for MaxDB

Hi forum,
SQL Studio and Database Manager are great tools in most of cases. I would need better tools for managing datas and databases.
My main aim would be a database upgrading tool. I mean a MaxDB complient tool to add/remove/update tables, stored proc, cursors and so on between an A and a B MaxDB database.
Well a MaxDB database versionning tool.

How to develop dll towards VB and Delphi for vi's of a third-part usb device

Hello, dear lv'ers:
Recently i am evolved in a project where i want to reuse my developed ac measurement modules (certainly in .vi format) in target computers. The related information has been collected below:
0) Develope machine: win7, lv2010 sp1 development suite bought last year, third-part usb devices (Rigol DG1022 for instance, recognized in MAX as USB0::0x0957::0x0407::MY44012174::INSTR), ac measurement vi's with VISA function calling.
1) Target computer A: MultiVu for squid vsm from QD(quantum design) bought in 2009, allowing third-part extension script written in visual basic .bas format. MAX was installed by QD, but our third-part usb devices could unfortunately not be recognized and assigned a visa resource name.
2) Target computer B: MultiVu for squid-xl from QD bought 2007, allowing third-part extension script writen in Delphi .dpr format. Its MAX has the same problem.
i have got familiar with extending such two MultiVu's for dc measurement based on Keithley 2400 & 2182, successfully using VB and Delphi, respectively. Such dc module has nothing to do with labview and has already installed with GPIB interface in MAX.
i have already overviewed some related posts here for dll building for VB and Delphi, and i could build my hellow-world dll for vb(simply following reversstring one in ni knowledgebase). However, at the moment, my main concerning is how to build dll's installation package for our two target computers, so that they can use the third-part usb devices as in my development machine?

Probably, i have just got a solution for this problem.
The way seems quite simple: what i need to do, before importing dll or exe files, is installing a VISA 4.0 (http://download.ni.com/support/softlib/visa/NI-VISA/4.0/win32/visa400full.exe) in target computers, which can communicate fine with our devices.
Afterwards, you know, everthing goes ok as does in the development computer.
When i got further problems, i shall return here. :-).

Interface to external using XIF adapter and Middleware

Hi Team,
I have to download Customers, Prospects and Employee data from ODS and ORACLE systems into CRM. Data should flow in both ways. its 2 way connection and Nightly sync is expected but not real time. can i use XIF adapter with Middleware for this? or it should be done only using XI. i will make sure to appreciate your response by awarding points.

XI is an application integratoin engine and you have to use Netweaver Stack as a whole ( PI + Portal)for implemeting the telecom integartiopn scenarios.
I'll point you to some practical scenario...suppose you want to integrate any BSS & OSS system with SAP ( ERP + CRM ) to offer an end to end telco service.
You need to form an application server that resides outside XI and which handles all telco related request and puts them in form of web service calls to XI which then maps it to upstream systems whose front end can be CRM or Portal.
Lets take up a scenario like Lead to Cash...typically this will involve SAP CRM to capture teh order process it thru SAP CRM and finally OSS calls will be required for Order Management & provisionng wherein XI(PI) will forward process specific web service calls to downstream OSS applications and keep the Billing systems in sysnc.

Using third part loops in Logic : bpm changes not following by the loop

i use lots of third part loops. with other audio soft when i choose a loop and drag/drop it to my project, the loop follow every change of the project (for exemple changing the bpm). In logic, when i do so, the loop do not follow project changes such as bpm.
Someone do knows how to fix my problem ?

I just found that you can drag/drop your third part loops from the Finder window where they are to the "Media/loops library" in Logic. By this way Logic recignize your loop as apple loop. But it works for apple loop third part loop and not for wav third part loop. For those you have to transform them by the "Apple loops utility" given with Logic. It's a bit long with big loops database but it's the first way I found.

Visual Studio 2010 has support for visual webpart, you can find that under Visual C# node in the Installed Templates section (if your preferred language is C#)

Best practices for apps integration with third party systems ?

I would like to know if there is any document from oracle or from your own regarding best practices for apps integration with third party systems.
For example, in particular, let's say we need customization in a given module(ex:payables) need to provide data to a third party system, consider following:
outbound interface:
1)should third party system should be given with direct access to oracle database to access a particular payments data information table/view to look for data ?
2) should oracle create a file to third party system, so that it can read and do what it need to do?
inbound:
1) should third party should directly login and insert data into tables which holds response data?
2) again, should third party create file and oralce apps will pick up for further processing?
again, there could be lot of company specific scenarios like it has to be real time or not... etc...
How does companies make sure third party systems are not directly dipping into other systems (oracle apps/others), so that it will follow certain integration best practices.
how does enterprise architectute will play a role in this? can we apply SOA standards? should use request/reply using Tibco etc?
Many oracle apps implementations customizations are more or less directly interacting with third party systems by including code to login into respective third party systems and vice versa.
Let me your know if you have done differently and that would help oracle apps community.

which version of R/3 you are using?
what is the mechanism the receiving system has, to receive data?
