Use of value change table cdpos

i got the idea from madhvi (thanx) about using two tables when fetching data from cdpos table .like we can give tabname = 'eket'
or = 'ekpo'.but what about fieldname which are associated with these two tables how to write feilds,like for the first two which belongs to eket table i write fname in ('eindt', 'menge') but what about the third field netpr related to second table ekpo.actually in output the changes of only first two is reflecting if am using 'or' for distingushing between tables and fields.

I verified the error that you are seeing. It appears to be a bug hence I have reported it to our developers. Hopefully this bug would be fixed in the next relaese of the PDA module.

How to check the value in Table CDPOS

Mostly I can't see the following fields value in the table CDPOS,
(1) CDPOS-VALUE_NEW
(2) CDPOS-VALUE_OLD
In fact, it should have values, so how to check the values, is there any special method needed?

It's helpful to get some contents via FM:CHANGEDOCUMENT_READ_POSITIONS, the problem is, to some kind of DELETION operation, the log in table CDPOS is very simple, I still don't know which contents were deleted even though I found records in table CDPOS.
Is there any other suggestions?

Using ADF against changing table structures

Hello,
We are developing a JSP app that will hit the same tables in different dbs/scheams, but the attributes (columns) of the tables could change (all except the primary key and name of the table). I want to write the app once and allow it to hit the same tables even if they have different columns (depending on what db is connected). As an example, using ResultSetMetaData I can easily "loop" thru through all column "labels" and then loop thru the ResultSet to display the data.
I am assume that ADF would NOT be a good fit for this type of application but I wanted to see what others had to say.

The biggest problem is that the number of columns in the tables could differ. Is it possible/feasible to create dynamic ViewObjects based on the structure of the currently connect db? As in, once the app initially connects, it dynamically build the ViewObjects and then allows the app to access these ViewObjects as needed.

Project Stock report using QBEW and QBEWH tables

Dear All,
First of all Happy New Year to all of you.
Here is my question: I want to build a ABAP report for stock situation for project stock. The report demands the stock by closing month. Suppose I run the report for month 11/2010, it should show the closing stock at the end of the month 11/2010.
Now I am using the values from table QBEW for this purpose.But QBEW table shows only current entries. If a material stock is changed or value is changed, it goes into history table QBEWH.
Now problem is that if I try to make sum of QBEW and QBEWH, the stock value is excessive. Now I am not sure which entries I should consider from QBEWH table for this purpose.
Has anybody worked on similar requirement?

Accessing ID Value Mapping table in XSLT

Hi Experts,
In the XSLT mapping,I would like to access my value mapping table which i defined in ID .The purpose of ID value mapping here is, the table entries will be changing in future and i don want to use fix values, XML table which is defined in runtime.

you can use the xivmService to call ID val map tables.
Use tha java function executeMapping, Its a standard SAP api.
Declare the Service in XSLT at start

Double value change event if cursor is set busy (LV2009)

Hello everybody,
I just migrated from LV 8.0 to LV 2009 (on linux) and now got problems with a value change event. I want to send a command if a button is pressed and send another one if the button is released. After sending the command I need to wait for an acknowledge from the receiver and to avoid user interaction in between I lock the cursor with "set busy" VI until the acknowledge is received. To see, when the button is pressed or released, I use a value change event. Inside the event structure the cursor is set busy.
This worked reliable in LV 8.0 but not any more in LV 2009. The button's mechanical action is set to "switch until released" and if I press the button and keep it pressed it is reset to false automatically. The value change event is fired twice instead of only once (see attached vi) and "new value" is one time true and one time false. This doesn't happen if the mechanical action is set to "switch when pressed".
Does anybody have an explanation or a workaround for this behaviour? Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug in LV? For now I'll just keep the cursor unlocked.

Change Data Capture,Change Tables

We installed Change Data Capture in our DB (10gR2),however there is a problem with change tables.Change tables are being cleaned somehow.According to text quoted below,the job which is cleaning change tables is cdc$_default_purge_job.However

Help with value change events

I need to be able to use the value change event to handle sorting and control the properties of a multicolumn listbox. I have a slow loop that runs every 10 seconds and acquires new data if it's available. New data is appended directly to the list box. The event structure handles two events. One to change colors of the text when new data is added and another to sort the contents when a user clicks on the column header. The first event seems to work just fine. It only runs when new data is added. The second event is the problem. It runs every time the loop runs and ties up the user interface so that it does not respond.
What am I doing wrong??
By the way, it seems that whatever I am doing wrong crashes LabVIEW while I am
editing the vi. Probably during a partial compile. LabVIEW crashed twice while I was creating this test vi and I don't normally have trouble with LabVIEW crashing. It has crashed in both the transact.cpp and panel.cpp.

I have made a few quick modifications, see attached.
-- The lower loop should probably be a plain loop, since the timing is done by the event structure.
-- You cannot use a shift register in the upper loop if you want the acquired list to remain sorted.
Sorry, I am on vacation in the middle of nowhere and only spend a few minutes on this. There are many improvements possible.

Change value table cdpos

Can we fetch changed values stored in cdpos related to fields eindt,menge, netpr.since a single table doesn't contain all these fields when i am using select statement for cdpos i am not getting proper idea about tabname in where condition .i can put the table name overthere but if more than one table is needed then how to use select query for cdpos .actually i am running shor of information.

in where condiiton u can write
tabname = 'VBAK' or

Is this with the Travel database or another database?
If it's another database then make sure your columns
allow nulls. To check this in the Server Navigator, expand
your DataSource down to the column.
Select the column and view the Is Nullable property
in the Property Sheet

Finished script: Use grep find/change to fill in a supplied table of contents

This script is now complete, and has been the subject of most of my previous posts. Just in case anyone wanted to know what the finished script ended as, here it is.

Task:
Automatically find town names in listings, and fill in table of contents template on page 2 accordingly.
Example of page 2 toc, initially:

Because of the need to include the transaction dates on the TOC (comes as a provided, tagged-text file), a simple Indesign-generated TOC can't be used alone.
This script uses an Indesign-generated TOC that's on a master page called "T-tocGen" ... It then uses grep search and replaces to grab the needed information, and insert it into the page 2 TOC.
The script will update a generated TOC and then search for an instance of a page number, and town name. The generated toc lists all included towns in the following format:
(line start)## tab townName(line end)
In Grep, this would be (please note, extra \ for \d and \t ... javascript needs that for some reason):
^\\d+\\t(.*)$
After the script gets the info it needs from a found instance of the above, it replaces that line with "---", to prevent that line from being picked up once again.
The script with then place the needed page number in it's rightful place on page 2, replacing the XX.
A while loop is used to repeat the above process until there are no longer any instances of "^\\d+\\t(.*)$" present.
Not every town runs every issue, so once the script is done, it removes all remaining instance of "XX" on the page 2 TOC.
FINAL CODE:

You are correct but the problem is there are three rows, One row is 100% black, the second is 60% black and the third is 40% black. I want to change the black to blue, the 60% black to an orange and the 40% black to a light shaded blue. In the find/change option you can select the tint you want to find and replace but yea.. does work on table cells.. oddly enough.

How to change table but don't touch SQL using it?

we have old_table (date, key, value1, value2, value3)
where we have values on every key for every day
values are changed very rarely, so we are considering to redesign table to slow changing dimension:
new_table (date_start, date_end, key, value1, value2, value3)
where new record with new date_start + date_end + key entry is added only when values are changed
BUT all SQL which used to query old_table:

from old_table
where date = date '2010-01-01'
- will not work anymore!
We know one straightforward approach - VIEW based multiplication of rows - which will help to use old SQL:

But we dont believe than it is efficient on rowcount about a million.

I don't think that helps because it isn't just that there is a different table, but the queries are different. In hindsight, the way to avoid this problem rather than "fix" it is to isolate your queries into packages and then the application is calling the modified (or overloaded?) function or procedure and the impact is minimized.
If the OP is trying to minimize storage by saving only ranges instead of the data for each and every day, then one solution would be to make the new view generate the values for each day within the range on the fly. (There was a similar question in this forum just this week about generating missing data.) The queries think they are going after the original table because there is in fact a row in the view for each day. But that would (possibly) make sense only if it was storage that was being minimized. I don't think this approach would be as efficient as using the actual date ranges if the data is migrated to such a table. I wasn't clear from the OP what the goal was behind the table change.

Document Add button - change a UDF so B1 writes value to tables

When the user presses the add button on a document, like an invoice, I want to loop through the items matrix and update a UDF on each row, so that Business one will write my values in the UDFs to the line item table (INV1), but I can't figure out how.
2 problems: The first is all the message boxes that B1 sometimes displays (like document total is zero, or error messages like 'no tax code entered'. I need to do my work AFTER these all occur, but just BEFORE the document is created. WHEN do I do this?
The other problem is that it seems like when I've tried something like this before, My changes to anything on the screen cause B1 to re-fire the events and then cancel the Add.
I don't want users to change these fields after I've loaded them, and I'd rather not retrieve the document after it's added and then change the values. I've found similar problems in the forum but none of them speaks exactly to this
Any ideas?
