User administration auditing

Hello,
My audit_control file and relevant class end event lines follows. But adding user and deleting user activities doesn't come audit.
what's wrong with it?
Thanks,
Osman

I too suffer from this. However I have another related concern.
I first noticed the original problem in Solaris 8 and overcame it as suggested by including exec events and parsing the results. It took a while but I got what I wanted - I needed exec events in any case to look for lp commands as well.
However in Solaris 10 8/07 I have noticed that the affected users are no longer recorded in useradd/userdel/usermod/passmgt events.
The output of praudit is simpler to parse because the variation in record lengths in reduced, but important information is missing, i.e the arguments of the commands are not included. Am I missing something?
For the record I normally adopt the following approach to 'optimise' the audit trail.
In /etc/security/audit_class I add several new masks. for example
0x01000000:za:My Admin
0x02000000:zf:My File
0x0f000000:zz:My All
Then in /etc/security/audit_event I add the za, zf etc to each line of interest.
In /etc/security/audit_control I have the line
flags:zz
Whilst this may be frowned upon, and may break in future if the masks I use come into play, I find that it makes life easier in that I can fine tune which events should be recorded and it is easier to identify the customisations when comparing different versions of the supplied files.
And for the record I have verified that without the above modifications the information I am seeking is still not present.
To test this, without modifications to audit_event and audit_class, and flags:all in audit_control
rm /var/audit/20*
svcadm enable auditd
useradd -u 1234 -g 1000 -d /tmp/user1 -s /bin/sh user1
passwd user1
passwd -l user1
passwd -d user1
userdel user1
svcadm disable auditd
auditreduce | praudit | grep user1The above returns just one line corresponding to the first passwd command.

  • User administration reporting for BOE 4.1

    Hello,
I'm interested in creating user administration reports within the BOE 4.1 CMC.
The type of reports I'd like to create are:
    - list all users, and their status
    - list groups users belong to
    - list when users changed and who changed them
Are these type of user administration reports available by default, or do they need to be created from the CMC schema?
I have been working with a developer on the reports available through the 'audit' database, but it doesn't appear to capture this information.
    Appreciate the help.
    Paul

All these are from CMS DB. Not in Audit DB. You can use SDK to build these reports.
You can refer below link for how to extract the information using query builder.

  • Delete Administrator Audit Logging

How can the system administrator control the Administrator Audit Logging of the Exchange Server.. What I want to do is to check the audit logging ( for some users who get access for an email) and delete some specific operations ( Like search and granting
access) .. also how can I delete the log directly?

    Hi,
Based on my research, to delete the audit log entries which are over 7 days, we can set the AdminAuditLogAgeLimit parameter. Thus, let’s firstly try to double check the property by the following command:
    Get-AdminAuditLogConfig | FL  AdminAuditLogAgeLimit
If  the value is 02.00:00:00, let’s check if there is any error in the event log to narrow down the cause.
If you have any question, please feel free to let me know.
    Thanks,

  • Tacacs server- user account auditing question

Is there a way to find out on a Cisco Secure ACS v3.1 server when an account was created?

Under Reports and Activity, there's an Administration Audit report that keeps track of everything done on the ACS server. There's no easy way to search through them all for a specific user addition, so you'll have to look back through all of them to find when the user was added.

Problem #1 resolved: Ask me for solution

    Hi Oliver,
A contact at SAP has indicated that in the KM Task Scheduler Deadline (com.sap.workflow.es.scheduler.TaskScheduler.Deadline.run) that the user "Administrator"  is hard coded in the SPS13 release.
Depending on what you are using the KM for you could reduce the frequency of the alert by changing the scheduling of this task which by default is every five minutes.
Although the release notes of the following patches didn't formerly address the hard coding issue, I decided to apply them anyway as I thought that a later release may have fixed the issue.  However it is not fixed with these interim patches.
KMCBC13P_1-10003491.SCA   Patch for KMC BASE COMPONENTS 7.00 SP13
KMCCM13P_1-10003492.SCA   Patch for KMC CONTENT MANAGEMENT 7.00 SP13
I guess we will need to wait for a further patch to be released and ignore the error in the meantime.

  • How i can create multiple users at a time (User Administration) in EP

    Hi
I need to create multiple users at a time. How can i do that through User Administration in EP.
Please also tell me about import option in User Administration

    Hi,
    1.  First of all create a master user based on which you can create multiple users.
    2.  when you are done with it  export (by selecting the option at user creation) it.
    3.  you can see some text in a window copy it create  a txt file with it, and add as many users as you want
by cpoy pasting the text multiple times and making necessary change as per the names etc...
    4. save the txt file.
    5. goto import option you were talking about and import the text file and update it.
    6. As it gets updated you are done with the creation of multiples users.
If you  get stuck somewhere  feel free to  let me know.
if  this answer satisfies your need, award points and close the thread.

  • Argentina missing?: User Administration- Create User- Contact Information

    Hi!:
Logon in the portal --> User Administration-> Create User --> look at "Contact Information" there's a country combo box and Argentina is not there.
I want to know how to put the country in the combo box. Seems to be all the countries in the world are in the combo.... except Argentina. Is a requirement that all the users have the country set for a certain app.
Any Idea how to fix it?.

    Hi Naveen,
These roles are already assigned to the user which we want to use as power administrator. In fact, we checked the same with SAP_ALL profile.
We are referring user administration (Power Administrator) screen in WebUI, there we cannot see CREATE button (for user creation) and cannot able to search BPs or users from selection criteria which exist in our system.
Thanks for any advice in advance.

  • Central User Administration Idoc's for a XI system

    Hello,
We are setting up a Central User Administration (CUA) in Solution Manager. One of the systems that needs to be a child of this CUA is a SAP XI 2.0 system.
The distribution of the Users is done by IDocs.
Everything is working fine from the CUA to a SAP R/3 system.
But when we make the XI 2.0 a child all the IDoc's are caught by the XI IDoc adapter in stead of going directly to the IDoc inbound handler of the XI system.
Has anyone been able to send an IDoc to an XI 2.0 and bypassing the IDoc adapter and sending them directly to the XI IDoc Inbound handler?
Any kind of info will be greatly appriciated.
    With kind regards,
    Leon Boeijen

    Hi Leon,
to bypass the IDoc Adapter for specific IDocs you can specify these IDocs using the report IDX_SELECT_IDOCTYPE_WITHOUT_IS.
    Kind regards,
    Andreas

  • BI Dashboard - access denied for user to path /users/administrator/_portal/

    Hi,
While I am within OBI EE, I try to access My Dashboards and I get this error message:
" access denied for user to path /users/administrator/_portal/dashboard layout.
    Error Details
    Error Codes: O9XNZMXB "
I have looked in other forums and found a solutions which was to delete cookies and then restart the system whole. It didn´t work at first. After a while, the system would allow me to access My Dashboards but then....
....I wasn´t able to access the shared filters that are on the network, thus impeding my others dashboards to work.
Does anybody know what the correct procedure for having this work is?
    Thanks in advance,
    Javier Rincon

    Hi...
    go to Catalog Manager.
Open and navigate to particular folder (_portal in shared)
right click that and go to permissions.
In left pane are you able to see the presentation Administrator ??
If then, check what kind of permission Administrator has (full control or not), if not.. add Administrator into this pane from right pane (In the right pane, You can see the user by Unchecking the check box present below show groups only check box.)
you didn't tell with whom you logged in?
If administrator then follow the steps i mentioned,
else... same steps but instead of administrator check it for particular user.
    Thanks & Regards
    Kishore Guggilla

  • Central User Administration

    Hello,
i want to realize a central user administration between two different SAP Systems.
In an testing environment i realized it between two logical systems with different mandants in one SAP system.
Now it should work between two hosts. For example SAP1 192.168.150.1 and SAP2 192.168.150.2. What are the differences i have to consider?

Lets take two systems with SIDs: “SA1” and “SA2”.
    1. Cerate logical system name SA1MNDT100 on SA1 identifying mandant 100 on SA1
    2. Assign it to mandant 100 in system SA1
    3. Then on SA2 you have to tell that there is system named SA1MNDT100 ready for communication, so you must create logical system name SA1MNDT100 in SA2 but you don’t assign it to any mandant (because from SA2 point of view it is a remote system)
    4. Then on SA2 create the RFC Destination with exactly the same name as your logical system defined in step 1 SA1MNDT100 pointing to hostname or ip of SA1/mandant 100 (this links remote logical system name with remote SAP system SA1)
    5. Then on SA2 create different system name SA2MNDT500 indentifying mandant 500 on SA2
    6. Assign it to mandant 500 in system SA2
    7. Then on SA1 you have to tell that there is system named SA2MNDT500 ready for communication, so you must create logical system name SA2MNDT500 in SA1 but you don’t assign it to any mandant (because from SA1 point of view it is a remote system)
    8. On SA1 cereate the RFC Destination named SA2MNDT500 pointing to SA2/manadt 500.
    Hope this clarifies your doubt.
