User defined alert

Hi Dear;
i create a new alert.
how can i set this alert to fire when i add a new document (as the predefined alert)
regards;

Hi Dany,
Use the alert function to have the system automatically notify selected users in SAP Business One whenever certain system events occur. There are two types of Alerts, predefined alerts and user-defined. In addition, approval procedures also generate alerts if their conditions are met. Messages triggered by alerts can be sent internally, or externally by e-mail, SMS message, or fax.
Alerts are optional and can be modified, deactivated or removed at any time.
The following pre-defined Alerts are available for immediate use:
Deviation from Credit Limit: Each business partner can have a predefined discount percentage. This Alert is triggered when a quotation or other type of document varies from this Credit Limit.
Deviation from Commitment: Alerts when the Commitment limit, as defined by the sum of the credit limit and the cheques received but not cashed yet is breached.
Deviation from % of Gross Profit: The conditions for the Profit Percentage in the document can be defined in the Conditions tab of the Alerts Management window. This Alert is triggered when a document has a gross profit less than this value.
Deviation from Discount (in %): Each BUSINESS PARTNER can have a predefined discount percentage. This Alert is triggered when the discount for a certain document varies from this discount.
Deviation from Budget: Alerts when a new Purchase Order is calculated and a divergence from the budget occurs.
Minimum Stock Deviation: Detects when the inventory for an Item falls below the minimum level, which has been defined in the Item Master Record.
For the above predefined alerts, the user can decide which documents to check and therefore limit or expand the scope of the alert.
Alerts just notify the appropriate parties. They do not stop a document from being posted. The notified user can reply to the alert using the messaging function and this reply like the original alert can be sent internally, or externally via e-mail, SMS message, or fax
To display the Alerts, if Saved History has been chosen in the Alerts Management window, choose Window Messages/Alerts Overview.
Hope it helps.

Does anyone know the query used to populate the Top Activity screen in Grid Control? I want to make a user-defined alert that will page me if the Top Activity is over a certain amount.

    Hi Bishal,
Rather than using an alert, you could put validation code in the SBO_SP_TransactionNotification stored procedure to check for the same job number before the document is added. This is a permitted solution as SAP allow users to add their own sql code to this proc (provided it's not inserting or updating data in SBO system tables).
To set up this solution (on a test system):
    1) Open SQL Studio Management
    2) In the Object Explorer expand the company database, expand Programmability and Stored Procedures
    3) Right-click the SBO_SP_TransactionNotification stored procedure and choose Modify. This will create an update script in the main window.
    4) Look for the following section in the script:
    --     ADD     YOUR     CODE     HERE
    5) Underneath the above section, paste the following code:
    if @OBJECT_TYPE = '17' and @TRANSACTION_TYPE in ('U', 'A')
if exists(select DocEntry from ORDR where DocEntry <> cast(@LIST_OF_COLS_VAL_TAB_DEL as int)
                        and U_Jobnumber is not null and U_Jobnumber <> ''
                        and U_Jobnumber = (select U_Jobnumber from ORDR where DocEntry = cast(@LIST_OF_COLS_VAL_TAB_DEL as int)) )
              begin
set @ERROR = '9999' -- Set your own error code here
set @ERROR_MESSAGE = 'The Job Number entered has already been used on a previous sales order.'
              end
    6) Click on Execute and you should get a message stating that the update was successful
    7) Test adding a new sales order
The above script will raise an error when the user clicks on Add if a job number has been specified on the sales order and that number has already been used. It will not check if a job number has not been specified
    Kind Regards,

  • Use current user in the user Defined alerts

    Hi
i created a UDQ with a filter on the Current user (where ???=$[USER]
    and it's working fine.
but when i use it in the User Defined Alert, nothing happen. the UD Alert doesn't fire.
    is there any solution?

    H Gordan
    for example:
    select t0.docentry,t0.docnum,t0.cardcode,t0.cardname from ordr t0 where t0.docstatus='O' and t0.usersign=$[[USER]]
if you save it as UDQ and run it, it will return all open sales orders for current user.

  • Not getting alerts even after applied the monitoring policy on user defined group.

    Hi,
recently we have installed OEM Ops center 12c for monitoring our oracle servers. I have created a user defined group and applied a userdefined monitoring policy on that group. I have threshold  70% as crtical and 50 % as warning in my monitoring policy.
Some of my servers are having 77% disk utlization and im not getting any alerts for that.
    What will be the problem?
When i see the membership of particular group (group -> membership in center pane), im not able to see the monitoring policy name on the monitoring policy column but i have applied policy on that group.
Please help me to resolve the issue.
    Thanks,
    Veijar

    Hi Stijn,
    Thanks for the response.
You are right. I was sending personalized iBot to group 'Financial Analyst'. A non-OBI user(Reshmi) belongs to this group.
But still problem has not been completely resolved.Still users in group either Administrator/Financial Analyst not getting alert via mail.
Atleast the users in Administrator group should get alert via mail, since both are defined in rpd.
Now when i send non-personalized ibot to group 'Financial Analyst', All the users other than Reshmi get alert on their dashboard but they don't get alert
via mail. Also Reshmi does not get alert via mail and error file shows error like -
    No devices for user: Reshmi.
Now i am not getting the error nQSError: 43001 Authentication failed for Reshmil in repository Star: invalid user/password. (08004)
which i was getting earlier while sending personalized ibot.
I have already defined the Mail tab contents using Job Manager. Also i have selected User Destinations both Interactive Dashboard and Active Delivery
    Profile.
Why the users don't get alert via mail? What could be the problem?

  • User defined notification & custom alert in business process(eInsight)?

    HI All,
I have a User Defined Notification Type setup in AlertAgent.
I want to create a Custom Alert in a Business Process that will be picked up by the User Defined Notification Type I have setup. I can't figure this out though?
The documentation doesn't seem to cover this (briefly mentions collaborations only), and I can find no examples.
Can you please explain how this is done, and/or send an example.
    Cheers,
    Ken

    from SUN...
To send out a custom alert, you'll need to call the alerter.cutom() method. However, this method is available only in a JCD.
    Here is the syntax:
    alerter.custom(String arg0, String arg1, String arg2);
    where
    - arg0 be an existing alert type you created via your properties file, or you defined in the AlertAgent as a new Notification.
    - arg1 is the severity of the alert
    - arg2 is the detailed message for the alert
    example:
    alerter.custom("HD-00001", "INFO", "custom test alert")
The severity must be one of the valid alert severity levels {"FATAL","CRITICAL","MAJOR","MINOR","WARNING","INFO"}. There is a mention of how this should work in eGate_Sys_Admin_Guide.pdf section 8.4 and 8.4.1.

  • User Defined Metric for default ALERT log directory

On our system we have moved the alert log to a non-default location. If we use the wrong initialization file or something else goes haywire then trace files and alert logs get placed in the $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/log directory.
I want to create a user defined metric for each machine that will look in all the $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/log directories for each ORACLE_HOME on the server checking for any alert*.log or *.trc files. Creating an alert if it encounters any of these files.
I don't know if I should do it as a host UDM or an instance UDM. And more to the point how do I get it to see the multiple homes if the server has more than one.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Tim

Well I did it with a host UDM calling a local script (which will be installed on shared drives for the development/test and production systems).
The local script cats the /var/opt/oracle/oratab file eliminating lines beginning with # or $ then takes the second argument of each line and loops through all entries using a checkit procedure. The checkit procedure determines if the appropriate log directores exist for the oracle home and does a find on the diretory looking for alert*.log and *.trc. If there are any then global variables get updated with the count and directory name.
There is an if statement before exit that checks of the count of files is greater than zero and write an appropriate em_result and em_message depending on the results.
I then created the UDM in EM to call this script and check for critical/warning thresholds.

  • How can I call a stateful webservice from a user-defined XPath function?

I'm calling a stateful webservice from a BPEL process using a PartnerLink which implements Custom Header Handler classes to handle the session state, storing the cookie as a property of the PartnerLink.
I'd also like to call this same stateful webservice, in the same session, from a user-defined XPath function enabling me to call this from an XSL Transformation.
Is this in any way possible? Can I access the cookie and attach it to the webservice call made by the user-defined XPath function?

Actually, as long as the servlet returns valid javascript, you can indeed "call it" from the client. It will initiate a request and return the result to the browser.
This example uses Perl, but it could be easily modified to go to a servlet instead.
Note that it is only supported in DOM browsers (IE6+/NN6+/etc)

  • Is a user defined for component AF - error ?

    Hi All,
In my RWD > Component Monitoring - I have an alert showing up on the Adapter Engine, for the Self-Test Status.  The error is on "Is a user defined for component AF?"
Any ideas how to resolve this ??
    Thanks

If this is in "Is a user defined for component AF" in red click on the details next to it ...it will show up what the problem is...
Usually XI uses XIAFUSER to connect to AF....Check whether these user is specified in exchange profile and then also check whether this existing and not locked...
    Hope this helps...

  • How to bind the user-defined watch to a specific server so that server's Health would show green ball and is linked to Monitoring watch?

    Hi,

How do I bind the user-defined watch to a specific server so that server's Health would show green ball and is linked to Monitoring watch?
    Regards,
    Jin-Chong

    Hello JinChong,
We had created User-defined Explorer watches on our environments and have run into issues.
Have received many false alerts even though Explorer servers are running fine.
After creating an AGS case it was informed to us that Explorer does not have monitoring capabilities.
AGS is checking with solution architect of Explorer application about when the monitoring watches for explorer would be included.

  • User Defined Metric and Notification rules

I've created a user defined metric to list the age of my backups. My warning is set to 24 hours and my critical threshold is set to 48 hours. The metric is working fine.
I want to be alerted if the metric goes critical for e.g.. When I go to Notification rules, under metric i don't see my user defined metric. This is GC 10g R2 10.2.0.2.
    Anyone has seen this?
    Thanks.

You have to create notification template according to your requirements and define respective metrice with required threshold values.
