User Entered - Required not working????

I'm developing a form (Adobe Acrobat Professional 8/LiveCycle Designer 8 ) in which the customer must fill many of the fields (mix of text and date fields). I'm setting the Object - Value - Type to User Entered - Required for these fields. However, I can tab right through them even when they are blank/null. I don't want the fields to work that way. If I get into the field (tabbing or mouse click) and I've set the field to User Entered - Required, I don't want to be able to get out of the field until I've filled it in.
I thought this was the way it worked early in my testing, but I had to work a different project for a while. Now that I'm back, it just acts as if the "null checking" has been turned off. Any suggestions as to what I need to do to get this working (again?).
Also, I have put a message in each of the empty message fields. I'm noticing that I can tab through blank fields :( but if I put data in one of those fields, clear the field and try to tab out, I do get the empty message text I specified.

I'll try to answer your questions one by one. Any comments and feedback are welcome.
1.- I assume that you have created a Model, a Service Controller and binded the data to your view.
At this point, you need to bind the property datasource of your interactive form to a node in your context hierarchy.
This data will be available at the form Data View Palette.
Then you have to edit your form, drag a Drop Down List to the form and in the Fields Tab of the Object Palette you need
to bind the List Items property. Just click the link and in the "Dynamic Properties" window, choose the table root node for Items, and the Text and Value atributes for Text and value properties respectively.
After that, in the binding tab, you will have to do the "default binding", and bind the values clicking on "Specify Item Values".

Try maintaning the parameter 2050 as YES and check once.

How to Make a field User Entered - Required by javaScript

Dear all,
How can I make a field User Entered - Required on some conditions e.g. it is required in the following conditions.
1)I have a group of radio buttons of Yes and No.I want if the user select yes then a particular text field should Required otherwise it should optional.
2)In a particular row of a table if user fill the first column then other columns of that row should required otherwise it should optional.
How can I do it?If any body can please help me.

I have the same problem. I need to change all fields to be not required. Adobe doesn't seem to recognize the change.

User Entered - Required and dynamic table

Hi all,
I am using LiveCycle Designer 7.1, and I need a little help with scripting. In my form I have a page with three major questions. underneath each questions I have the sentence "If the answer is YES:" and some questions that relate to major question above them. My task is if the user choose YES in the major question all the questions that related to the major should become "User Entered - Required". How can I do That?
Secondly, In the same form I have a page with dynamic table. The last column of the table is percentage, and I need that column values won't cross the 100%. Please help me

I believe the intent is to warn instead of annoy the user with repeated notices that a required field hasn't been filled (which is why it doesn't fire on subsequent tabbing).
The Empty Message should be displayed whenever the value of the required field goes from something to nothing (e.g. the value is currently set to "asdf" and you remove the value and tab out) which means that simply tabbing in and out of the required field without changing its value (whether or not it had a value in the first place) wouldn't trigger the Empty Message to be displayed. It should
always be displayed, however, whenever you attempt to
submit the form if the required field has no value (and Acrobat won't let you submit the form until all required fields have been filled).

On full keyboards with a numeric keypad, the key above the right shift is "return" & the one on the numeric section is "enter." On a Mac (or Apple IIgs ) they do have separate functions. On the "mini" keyboards, both names are on the same key, but "enter" is written in smaller letters. I'll have to check to see how that works on another Mac later today.

I am facing problem with ACS 4.1 accounting, TACAS+ Accounting and Logged in Users report are not working, the csv file is been generated but nothing is showened in the file.
I have checked the documents related to ACS 4.1, it says that there is a bug related to command accounting âCSCsg97429 - TACACS+ Command Accounting does not work in ACS 4.1(1) Build 23â.
Tried upgrading the same with the patch applAcs-4.1.1.23.3.zip, still it is not working.
Other reports are working fine.
1. TACAS+ Accounting - not working
2. Logged in Users - not working
3. TACAS+ Administration - working
4. Passed Authentication - working
5. Failed Attempts - working
Any suggestions or any idea, please revert.

As I have mentioned all the other reports are working. Which user and when he has logged in and what commands he has used. Only the TACAS+ Accounting and logned user is not working.

Connect the iPod to irs syncing computer and restore via iTunes/ Place the iPod in Recovery mode if necessary to allow the restore.

Run with User's rights not working as expected

I have a VBscript that runs the Quest Client Profile Updating Utility for migrating Outlook e-mail profiles to a new Exchange Server. For this tool to work it must be run using the User's security context when the user is logged onto the computer.
What I have found is that the script fails to run because SCCM is running the script with elevated privileges. The program is set with 'Only when a user is logged on' and a run mode of 'Run with user's rights'. The advertisement is set to run from
a distribution point and has two mandatory re-occuring schedules (Logon, and at 6:00 a.m. every day).
To test what is happening I created a separate Program that has the same program settings but only runs 'Cmd.exe /k echo' for the command line. If I run this SCCM program as a user who is not a member of the local administrators group
I can execute privileged programs like regedit.exe. If I run the Command Prompt from the Start\Accessories folder and try to run Regedit I receive an 'Access denied' message. It appears SCCM is running with elevated privileges.
Does SCCM run a program with elevated privileges? How can I make a program run without elevated privileges.

Actually I ran into a similar issue today trying to gather info about mapped network drives and found this thread when trying to troubleshoot it. Here's a summary of what I've done:
I have an SCCM package set up to run a script to dump the users' mapped drives to a text file. The program is set to run only if a user is logged on and to run in the logged on user's context. UAC is enabled. For users who are members of
the local Administrators group, the resulting text file was empty, as if no drives were mapped. Running the script manually (not via SCCM, just double-clicking the script) populated the text file with the expected results. So the script works correctly.
I suspected SCCM was running the package elevated, since drives mapped in the non-elevated context aren't visible to the elevated context.
To test, I created another package & program that runs a command I know requires elevation (ipconfig /registerdns) and pipes the output to a text file. I configured it in the same way, and for users who are in the local admin group, the text file results
indicate that the command ran successfully (which means it ran elevated). If I take the user out of the local admin group, making no changes to the package, then run the package again, the text file results say "This command requires elevation."
So, it appears SCCM is running with the highest elevation level for which the user has rights. I guess this makes sense, and it's not doing anything the user wouldn't normally have rights to do, but it does cause a problem when a program needs to run
under the user's non-elevated token. Any suggestions?

User status does not work for campaign automation

We have 5 user status in our campaign. When we select the campaign automation option, the user status appears but when we try to change from a status to another (sample: Open to Planificado) the next error appears:
Diagnosis
System error: An invalid transaction ID was used to check whether or not a business transaction is allowed. Transaction %%%% does not exist.

You cannot carry out the requested function for object Campaign.
Procedure
Please contact your system administrator.
We include the option release in each user status and everything works fine, however, we require that release status (system estatus) only appears in the latest user status

Enter key not working in forms 10g

Hi guys,
Enter key to select a form is not working
on my application.
I have to double click the form to open it using the mouse.
Then if we try to exit we have to press exit that many number of times as we have pressed enter key.
So it seems to be storing the key processes.
We are using forms 10g.
Please help.

Photoshop CC opens Application Manager, says "Sign in Required", not working. Help?

Photoshop CC today opens Adobe Application Manager, says "Sign in Required", but with correct info gives error message. Also, CC desktop not working. I haven't had any problem in the previous two months. I also was just build two weeks ago, and had to update my billing information. I tried online chat, after 30 minutes of typing, I've been disconnected twice. The funny thing is, Photoshop CC does open, and it works fine. However this message is irritating concerning. I'm on a Mac running the latest operating system and hardware.

http://www.adobe.com/appsmanager/index.html and then try signing in.

TS1541 new mac mini. woke it up from sleep mode, user password suddenly not working. ideas?

After initial set up left the brand new mac mini for an hour or so. On return, the password that had been working thus far was entered but did not work. cannot now login to brand new mini. Ideas please?

A profile has been configured on database with parameter session_per_user=1 but it is not working on database.
user can make n number of session to database . what could be the reason profile is not working ?

Obviously you are using a full wired keyboard. I am using a wireless Apple keyboard where the "Return" and "Enter" key are the same. Your keyboard is working properly as designed. You might want to take that giant chip off your shoulder if you want help in this forum.
