User exit in R/3 to insert P.O number while S.O is being published from APO

Hi,
i'm trying to find an user exit in R/3 to insert a custom generated Purchase order  number while Sales order is being published from APO to R/3 , During TLB publish ( SDP94). please let me know if some one had already worked on this before.
Regards,
Krishna.

Dear Krishna ,
As I understand you are unable to publish the PO Number which you converted in R/3 after deployment run in APO .
Check for the purchasing group in APO product master , this should have been CIF from R/3 Material Master .
Also the queue should have been generated in R/3 where the transaction should be stuck , check the error message in the queue .

  • User exit/ enhancement for billdoc creation using external billdoc number

    good day experts,
my requirement is to allow assignment of external billing document. we have no problem with sales document and outbound delivery number. but for billing document, it seems no possible without user exit. I want to know the user exit for this and if I need to request for devkey upon modifying this user exit? or just create an enhancement point?
    thank you in advance!

Refer to the reply from Brad.
    SAP IMG documentation reads,
    Number assignment
Specify a number range for number assignment. For billing documents numbers can
only be assigned internally by the SAP System. To define a common number
assignment for different billing types, you have to specify the same number range
    in each case.

  • User exit for IW31 which capture screen field Po number

    Hi all
I have the requirement that when we save work order created by IW31. It shud trigger any user exit or BADI.
In that we have to validate the screen field Purchase order number BSTKD from the Ztable entries.
My problem is that no user exit passes this value as export parameter. so without that how can I get this value in the include program. Please let me know the user exit which hit after save and passes PO value so I can validate this field.   Thanks!!!

  • Insert BADI into a USER EXIT

    Hi all,
    1. I want to insert a BADI into  a user exit located on a SAP program. Can this be done? and How?
    2. I want to insert a BADI into a SALES and Dsitribution program that only has user exits. Can I just insert the BADI into the program by using the 'CALL BADI' statement or not?, and does adding the BADI into the SAP program affects the SAP standard.

  • VA01 user exit to manually insert condition record for sales order

    Hello Experts,
I have a req. to find a user exit through which I can insert a new condition record for a sales order everytime a sales order is created.
Whenever a sales order is created I should check whether condition types X and Y are being generated for the particular sales order. If yes I have to insert a new condition record with type Z for that sales order after some calculations.
Does anybody have an idea which user exit should be used so that my new condition comes up in the CONDITIONS tab for the sales order item.
    Thanks in anticipation.
    Vipul

    Hi,
What I suggest is suppose you want condition type say 'XXX' to appear with some calculated value only when condition type 'X' & 'Y' are present, then let the consultant define that condition type in pricing procedure, with 'Manual Entry not allowd flag on, so that nobody can overwrite the value calculated by your routine in condition type 'XXX'  & let him 'attach; a routine say 901 to it. Now via VOFM in routine 901 you can put your logic. In routine 901 you can loop at xkomv & check if both condition types viz. 'X' & 'Y' are present. IF yes then calculate the value of condition type 'XXX' as per the logic required & pass it on to SAP by xkomv-kwert = w_amount, where w_amount is the value calculated by you as per the logic required.
    I hope this helps,

In user exit zxf08u06, I am reading each segment which are in edidd structure, pulling required data from database and passing this data into this segment, so that this data appears in the IDOC's segments (we02).
Now I need to create one new segment which is not there in edidd structure.
Still I inserted this new segment and updated data. This new is coming in IDOC out put But IDOC was crested with error . Am I not supposed to create new segment whcih was not there in edidd structure forcefully ?

  • User exits, Bapi , badi ?

    Hi Gurus,
What are user exits, BAPI and BADI ?
Short and sweet answers would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    BAPI
BAPI stands for Business API(Application Program Interface).
A BAPI is remotely enabled function module ie it can be invoked from remote programs like standalone JAVA programs, web interface etc..
You can make your function module remotely enabled in attributes of Function module but
A BAPI are standard SAP function modules provided by SAP for remote access. Also they are part of Businees Objest Repository(BOR).
BAPI are RFC enabled function modules. the difference between RFc and BAPI are business objects. You create business objects and those are then registered in your BOR (Business Object Repository) which can be accessed outside the SAP system by using some other applications (Non-SAP) such as VB or JAVA. in this case u only specify the business object and its method from external system in BAPI there is no direct system call. while RFC are direct system call Some BAPIs provide basic functions and can be used for most SAP business object types. These BAPIs should be implemented the same for all business object types. Standardized BAPIs are easier to use and prevent users having to deal with a number of different BAPIs. Whenever possible, a standardized BAPI must be used in preference to an individual BAPI.
The following standardized BAPIs are provided:
Reading instances of SAP business objects
GetList ( ) With the BAPI GetList you can select a range of object key values, for example, company codes and material numbers.
The BAPI GetList() is a class method.
GetDetail() With the BAPI GetDetail() the details of an instance of a business object type are retrieved and returned to the calling program. The instance is identified via its key. The BAPI GetDetail() is an instance method. BAPIs that can create, change or delete instances of a business object type
The following BAPIs of the same object type have to be programmed so that they can be called several times within one transaction. For example, if, after sales order 1 has been created, a second sales order 2 is created in the same transaction, the second BAPI call must not affect the consistency of the sales order 2. After completing the transaction with a COMMIT WORK, both the orders are saved consistently in the database.
    Create( ) and CreateFromData! ( )
The BAPIs Create() and CreateFromData() create an instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. These BAPIs are class methods.
    Change( )
The BAPI Change() changes an existing instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. The BAPI Change () is an instance method.
Delete( ) and Undelete( ) The BAPI Delete() deletes an instance of an SAP business object type from the database or sets a deletion flag.
The BAPI Undelete() removes a deletion flag. These BAPIs are instance methods.
Cancel ( ) Unlike the BAPI Delete(), the BAPI Cancel() cancels an instance of a business object type. The instance to be cancelled remains in the database and an additional instance is created and this is the one that is actually canceled. The Cancel() BAPI is an instance method.
Add<subobject> ( ) and Remove<subobject> ( ) The BAPI Add<subobject> adds a subobject to an existing object inst! ance and the BAPI and Remove<subobject> removes a subobject from an object instance. These BAPIs are instance methods.

    User Exits
User exits are a type of system enhancement that were originally developed for the R/3 SD.
The SAP developer creates a special include in a module pool. These includes contain one or more subroutines that satisfy the naming convention userexit_<name>. The calls for these subroutines have already been implemented in the R/3 program. Refer Conventional SD User exits Slides
A user exit is considered a modification, since technically objects in the SAP namespace are being modified.
After delivering them, SAP never alters includes created in this manner; if new user exits must be delivered in a new release, they are placed in a new include program.
    Customer Exits
Customer exits are “hooks” provided by SAP within many standard programs, screens and menus on which customers may “hang” custom functionality to meet business requirements

  • User exits vs badi

hi all, one of my friends who is working in real time said to me , whenever a need for enhancement arises, its always better to use badi over user exit. he said , if v add our code in BADI , and in future if any problem arises with BADI , SAP wil take care, but same cant be done if v use userexits.
am quite confused.plz give the basic differences about badi and user eixt, and which of the two is preferred in REAL TIME and why?

  • User Exit/BADI to modify MCHA-HSDAT while saving a process order

    Dear all,
I would like to know if there are any user-exits or BADI's to modify MCHA-HSDAT field, while saving process order.
Scenario: There are two material types ZBUL and ZFDF. After releasing the process order and when I save, an entry in MCHA table for material with material type ZFDF is created.I should make a check if MCHA-HSDAT of this ZFDF material is equal to MCHA-HSDAT of ZBUL.
If not, I should replace MCHA-HSDAT of ZFDF material with the HSDAT of ZBUL material.
I have checked user exits 'PPCO0007' and PPCO0014 and PPCO0020 but I could not find MCHA structure to update.
Do, I need to create an implicit enhancement for this?
    Thanks in advance!
    Aravind

    Aravind,
Do the following steps in order to find the best exit for you.
for e.g. using enhancemnt PPCO0020 FM EXIT_SAPLCOKO_005. Use the "Where used list" to get the point where this FM has been called. So in this case you can use "(SAPLCOKO)MCHA" as field symbol.
    Any question, let me know.

  • Inbound idoc values when updated from user exit not saved

I'm trying to process some user exits of an inbound idoc from WE19.
The values get correctly populated to IDOC_DATA internal tables of IDOC_INPUT_ORDRSP function module in debug kode
but when the new idoc is generated from WE19 , those segment values (populated by exit) are not shown/saved.
    The user exit is EXIT_SAPLEINM_007.
Is it not possible to populate segment values of inbound idocs from using user exits. If yes , then during testing using WE19 , every time a new idoc is created it should display those values into the concerned segments. Please help.

    Hello,
    yes is possible it ...
    I think the problem is:
    or
you have something wrong when to append the new line on internal table
    or
the exit used is not correct: read the documentation on EXIT_SAPLEINM_0**
