User-Exit possibility

Hello,
I would like to make an User-Exit (Change Handler on java) that will be called by button from standart COBOL UI form. UE must initiate pop-up window to user. Get from user variable. Store it and start algorythm from algorythm spot whith variable (new algorythm spot will be created).
This type of UE is possible to create?
Thanx everyone for answers.

Business Reqierment is to create UI for BO "Tax Invoice" (Russian pak) that will assign for Tax Invoice (TI) the Accounting Date. As it exists for Bill Completion.
so, what I need:
1. User Exit (Change Handler) what will create pop-up window to User, when he'll start TI completion.
2. Get from him (user) value for Accounting Date of TI.
3. Check it whith Accounting Calendar.
4. Start Algorythm whith value as a soft-parametr. (Algoryth Spot will be created: Tax Invoice type - TI Completion)
I have doubt about possibility of creation a UE that can create pop-up window to user, get from him value and start algorythm whit it.

  • Determine which validation step called the user exit, possible?

    Hello all,
We have a a validation with different steps that use the  same user exit in their respective check.
My functional analyst asked me if there is a way to programmatically determine in the user exit which step is executing the user exit.
So I am asking the same question here.
    As an example:
    Validation FI100 has step 001,  002, and 003.
Each of these steps use the user exit U100 from module pool ZGGBR001 in their check.
I haven't found a way in the code of U100 to determine which step called U100.
Does anyone know if this can be done?
I have used the following technique to get a variable from the program's call stack.
    data: var_name(30) type c value '(Z_CALLING)VARIABLE' .
    field-symbols: <fs> type any.
      assign (var_name) to <fs>.
      write: / 'Variable from Z_CALLING', <fs>.
But I'm not sure how this might work with validation steps/user exits.
    Thanks
    Bruce

    Vinod,
I did some debugging after I posted my question.  I came to the same solution, use FM 'SYSTEM_CALLSTACK'.
    VALCHCK_2FI100##001
    loop at i_callstack into w_callstack
                        where EVENTNAME+0(9) = 'VALCHCK_2'.
    FI110 is the validation
    001    is the step
    Thomas,
    Thanks for the caveats.

  • User exits for tcode FBV0

    Hi,
My requirement is that the user who has parked the document should not be able to post the parked document through tcode FBV0.
Is there any user exit where in I can validate the current system user and the user who has parked the document?
I have tried the user-exit SAPLF040,but this does not suffice my requirement.
Also is it possible to define our own exits in tcode OB28?

  • Changing Tab focus while in a User exit. Is this possible?.

We have a user exit that kicks in when saving in a sales screen with different tabs. There seems to be inconsistancy as what tab is focused (chosen/highlighted) afte the user exit completes.
What I wanted to know was whether it was possible to force a certain tabbed screen to be the main focus.
Is that understandable?. I know I have not explained it that well, but hopefully I given enough to put across the problem.

  • Is it possible to trigger user exit in BDC?

    Hi experts,
I am having issue as follows.
when i am successfully creating rework code & UD code through tcode QA11 manually.
If i am doing manually some user exits will be called and there rework code will be generated successfully.
But i have used QA11 in my program using call transaction QA11 in back ground mode.
It is creaing UD code successfully. But rework code also has to be generated in back ground through user exit.
    But that is not happening.
But internally my user exits are not calling when i run my program in back ground or fore ground.
Is there any problem of triggering user exists when running BDC in back ground or foreground?
Now i am unable to create rework code through QA11 why because user exists were not calling internally.
    Thanks & Regards,
    LOKESH GOUD

why dont you keep a break point and debug??

  • Is it possible to get the fields in to our user exit .....?

    Hi All,
In the user exit some structures are passed as import parameters in the function module. but we want other than those structure fields in to our user exit. that means those fields are dynamically populated in to the transaction.based on those fields we have to trigger one dialog window. so how to get those fields in to our user exit.
    -Prasanth.M
    Ex: Transaction: IW31/IW32
        Enhancement Name: IWO10009
        Structure Name: CAUFVD.
But i want these fields ACPOS,WRTTP,BELTP,WRT00 to WRT16. these fields are in PMCO table.but i want these fields before updating the PMCO table, not from the PMCO table. based on these fields we have to trigger user exit.

    Hi,
here i am giving my requirement.
Please look in to this and let me know how to solve the problem.
    1.     Check ordertype
          a.     If ordertype = REP1 set planned cost limit field to 450
          b.     If ordertype = MUT1 set planned cost limit field to 5000
    2.     Check the planned costs for value category KostenTalis
Check table PMCO for the order
              i.     PMCO-ACPOS = KostenTalis
             ii.     PMCO-WRTTP = 1
             iii.     PMCO-BELTP = 1
             iv.     PMCO-VORGA = KPPP
              v.     PMCO-WERT00 -> PMCO-WERT16, check if one of the fields  WRT00 till WRT16 is filled with a value
         a.     No, exit
         b.     Yes, go to 3
    3.     Are the total costs for Talis > planned cost limit field euro?
         a.     No, do nothing and end this user-exit
         b.     Yes, show the pop-up and place the total planned costs in the variable <costs>
and already i had given tr and user exit.i think its sufficient to solve the issue.
still u have any more doubts kindly let me know.

  • Is it possible to get user exit from st05???

    Hi all,
One has said me that you can find user exit of a transaction from sql trace, st05.
I do not believe that, however I wanted to ask you..
    Thanks.

    Hi,
we can find the badi but not the user exit . u have 2methods for searching userexits
one frm the tcode-> find programname->package name->gotosmod->give package name and f4 functioanlity->cmod-> give the name u can get it.
other-> directly from smod and cmod.

  • Inernal order enhancement after "ENTER" not user exit like COOPA_01 possibl

    Hi guys,
I need a check on internal orders when creating or changing but before saving just pressing enter.
I think some years ago in a project a developer found out an enhancement spot in coding, where customer coding can be implemented without standard modification, but also not a user exit.
Unfortunately I can not remember where and in OSS I did not find anything.
    Any idea?
    best regards
    Bjoern

    Hi
As far as I know, exit COOPA_01 is used for any custom checks on Order master data... I dont know why you are against it
Anyways, to find out the enhancement spots called in a transaction, proceed as below
Go to se24 -> cl_exithandler-> go to method get_instance -> and put a break point at
    CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface
Here one of the parameters is exit_name .
Once after you put the break point , execute the transaction and here in the parameter exit_name , you will be able to see all the available badi's .

  • How to find out the user exit is implemented

    Hi All,
Kindly let me know the process to be followed to find out the User exit is implemented in SAP system.
I have seen many senriors suggestions for some treads to check if there is any Exit is implemented in the process when the system is behaving differently rather standard.
Is it the only way with help of ABAP'er we can find out or the functional consultant also can find out through some procedure?
I tied in google for this doubt, but i could not get the relavant answer.Pleaea execuse me if this already answered.
    Thanks,

    Hi Krishna/TW,
Thank you for your immediate replies. Sorry i think i have not explained correctly my requirment.
Let me explain my requirement once again.Let us say Comapny has implemented one Exit in the project, now i want to find out what exactly the Exit was implemented.
Example: In STO process user is able to increase the  qty in delivery. As per the client requriement system should not allow.
This is not possible in standard to control even after maintainig  check over delivery field in 0VLP.
For this comapny has already implemented one enahnceament.
    User Exit : USER EXIT_READ_DOCUMENT
    Program: MV50AFZ1
like this when any one joined in the project we do not know what are all the Exits are implemented in the SAP system where we are working.
So if i want to find out if there is any Exit or enhancement implemented, what is the process to find out?
I hope now  am clear with my requirement.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Custom error message in user exit is giving Short dump

    Hi All,
We have a scenario where in if any user try to create/Change/Delete particular types of contract in SAP system we have to issue error message
saying ZIN/ZIR contract creation/Change/Deletion is blocked in SAP. This has to be done from the web application. So we are putting below code
in user exit MV45AFZZ in the form USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE.
CONSTANTS: lc_vbcpic01 TYPE sy-uname VALUE u2018VBCPIC01u2019, u201CWeb application user ID

This code is working fine while creating/Changing the contract i.e. Giving us error message so that user wonu2019t be able to create/change the contract.
But when we delete the contract from VA42, Control is coming to this message statement and is giving Short dump. Below is the error analysis of the dump.
    Error Analysis:
During "Exit Command" processing, the program tried to send a " " message.
This is not allowed at this point in processing.
The program had to be terminated.

    Screen number............ 4001
If any one has come across such scenario/any work around for this problem please let me know your inputs. Your inputs are highly appreciated.
I am working on 4.6C version of SAP.
Note: When i issue information/Warning message contract is getting deleted after displaying the message.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

I exactly replicated the same in DELETE_DOCUMENT also
I am getting the Dump. I tried with exit also , but it continued and deleted. To avoid deletion we have to use Leave program or LEAVE TO CURRENT TRANSACTION.
Delete Function is Defined as EXIT command. so it is not possible to give error message. To convice you i just copied demo program and raised the error message.
it is also giving the dump.
copy the demo program DEMO_DYNPRO_AT_EXIT_COMMAND and make this change , information to error .

  • How to select several values from a user exit variable in a planning folder

    Hello,
I have created a user exit variable for limiting the values only to which the user need to access.
For a simulation part, it is then necessary for him to select several values from these values (not only one, and not all)
But It seems in this case the user has only two possibilities :
    - keep all the values without any restriction
    - restrain the selection to only one value.
It seems possible for the user to access to a multiple choice window, but this possibility doesn't seems to work : in all tests we did, only the first value was taken into account by BPS.
If this method is not good do you know an other manner to permit the user to choice several values amongst a set of pre-selected  (because the original set is too important) values ?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Mayank,
Thanks for your response, but I don't think it corresponds to my problem.
I my case, I use a user exit variable to filter some data. It seems BPS offers the possibility to the user to select several values amongts the pre-selected values presented by the user exit variable, but it doesn't work. We can use a popup in which we enters the required values, but in final, only the first value is taken into account.
I don't know if it is due to a BPS bug or if it is not a good solution in regard to BPS philosophy. In this case, the concerned caracteristic isn't in the header but in lead columns.
I must present a solution to my client next monday, so I have not enough time to open an OSS message.
An alternate solution should be interesting too.
My need is to present to a user a selection of values amongst all values from an infoobject (the user exit variable seemed to be a good solution) and the user must have the possibility to select some values amongst these as filter.

  • IPC Pricing with AP 7.00 Database Access/Call function module user-exit

    Hi experts,
we are running SAP ECO on SAP ECC 6.0 with IPC Pricing AP 7.00 running in the VMC.
I'm facing a new requirement. In an user-exit for requirements the access to the ABAP database is needed.
(I know that the SAP recommendation is, don't have access to database. But we need this functionality)
    In ABAP it looks like:
    select single * from  a590
          into     LH_674_a590
          where    kappl  = 'V'
          and      kschl  = 'ZSPR'
          and      kunnr  = komk-kunnr
          and      matnr  = komp-matnr
          and      datbi  >= komk-prsdt
          and      datab  =< komk-prsdt.
Is there a possibility to implement the same SELECT in the Java-User-Exit?
Is there maybe the alternative to call a function module instead?
The database exits on the same application server on which the VMC runs.
If there is a possiblity can anyone provide me with sample coding or give an advice where to find samle coding?
I would prefer to call a functions module.

  • How can i display warning messages in user exit EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001 (MM02)

    Hi all,
while modifying the material master using MM02, i have added new conditions to display messages in user exit EXIT_SPALMGMU_001.
But using this user exit i am not able to display warning messages.
Can you please help me with this?
Sample code which i have included in exit :
    SELECT SINGLE mstav FROM mara
    INTO w_mstav
    WHERE matnr = wmara-matnr.
    IF wmara-mstav NE w_mstav.
    IF wmara-mstdv NE sy-datum.
    wmara-mstdv = sy-datum.
    MESSAGE w177(z03_mm) WITH text-s04 text-s21.
    ENDIF.
    ENDIF.
    Thank you all in advance.

As written in the SAP documentation of the Enhancement , you can only raise error message using a
    MESSAGE .. RAISING APPLICATION_ERROR.
You could manage the "warning" yourself, sending an error first time and keeping a trace of the check in some STATICS variable, and not raising the error again if data input remains unchanged between two call of the include.
    <i>----
    EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001
Where Is the Customer Exit - EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001 called?
The customer exit is in function module MATERIAL_UPDATE_ALL. The
function module checks the data for errors (logical relationships,
foreign keys, fixed domain values, and so on) when the material master
    is updated.
    Use
    o New fields
You can make checks possible for new fields of your own. These
checks must be identical to the checks that you carry out for your
    new fields in online maintenance.
    o Existing fields
For existing fields, you can extend and intensify the checks.
You can also change data for descriptions and general material data
(MARA). For example, the descriptions can be generated from attributes
    of the material.
    Limitations
    You cannot bypass existing checks.
    Interface to Application
The respective data of the current logical transaction is contained in
the structures, for example, in structure WMARA for MARA. Nonrelevant
structures are transferred with their initial values.
General material data that can be changed (CMARA) has the structure
MARU. This MARA view contains fewer internal fields than MARA itself. If
WMARA is filled, CMARA is also filled when accessed.
The customer exit contains the exception APPLICATION_ERROR for your
    self-defined error situations.
Using the language element MESSAGE .. RAISING APPLICATION_ERROR, you can
terminate the current (logical) transaction and display your message in
    the log. </i>

SAP has done some sweet things with the PO approval in 4.7. But, can anyone tell me whether there are any User Exits or BAdI's in ME29N that I could use to react to the user pressing the <b>Reject</b> button (SY-UCOMM = 'MEREJECT')?
I have tried a bunch of possible enhancements and stuck a breakpoint in the GET_INSTANCE method of the CL_EXITHANDLER class. No success so far
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
    Cheers
